Very Unprofessional and Unorganized

I have been given the run around for over a week. Staff does not communicate and Nobody is on the same page. I was given 3 different apartments and mind you that means switching electricity and ordered furniture. I'm on the phone making calls to switch all this crap over and didn't answer so I receive a text from the manager being a smart ---. Then I was also told that keys aren't given until 2p, then 3p, and now at 420p the cleaner is just getting ready to start. Then had the nerve to ask for my payment !! Um, can you get me keys to an apartment ?? Definitely not a recommendation for any other travel nurses. Anyone period. Horrible experience.

I would NEVER recommend for anyone to live here. I lived in an apartment where all cabinets underneath kitchen sink were rotted; every time the ac turned on, I had a loud drum beat where I had to close both restroom and vanity area doors in order not to hear it. The fridge was always very hot on the outside; no good lighting in parking lot at night; the new front door they put had cracks where I found big roaches and lizards crawling inside. I had to put a towel every night to cover the opening. I had no animals inside and when I moved out; they charged me $40 for blinds. As for maintenance, a great note for the main AC lead. He’s Cuban I think, but he did excellent work. Oh by the way, my 2018 and my 2020 cars were both wrecked in that parking lot. It is too crowded there and I don’t ever recommend anyone living there.

affordable place to live but I would not recommend it. Had problems with the toilets and ac the whole 12 months of lease. They suck at communicating and just want your money they will charge you for every single little thing even if it’s their fault.

We moved into this property in March 2019. We cant wait for our lease to end so we can move out of this building due to the horrible service we get from the building team here, and not to mention theres alot of aunts and little spiders inside the house. We called them about the lights in my unit, and 2 lighst outside that were not working. I have the record of calling them, informing them. And its been 12 days and the lights still havent been fixed yet. We tried calling them again and again and also we came to their office twice and they kept saying "oh we will see if we can fix them today". But 12 days and nothing happen from them. Now because of the time change, it gets dark very fast and we feel unsafe and its dangerous because its too dark at night, we can barely see. We might trip and fall. We are tired of their empty and unreliable promises. Its like they dont care about residents here. Bottom line, I would not recommend people living here.

This complex is horrible. I put in a work order two weeks ago about my AC, which wasn't properly cooling my apartment. I put in a request to have my unit cleaned since it was disgusting and I attempted to clean it myself and it was just disgusting. There was no filter and LOTS OF MOLD. I then started to feel horrible and I continue to feel awful do to the amount of MOLD that is in my apartment and they are in no rush to come clean it and fix my ac since it "still works" my health is at risk because they are too lazy to do their jobs. Do not move here, there is absolutely no benefit in living here. I will be contacting a health inspector to come test my unit for the type of mold. If you are a current resident I would check you AC unit and if it is dirty do NOT try to clean it yourself put a work order in (hopefully you'll have better luck than me with response time). There was also no filter in my unit until I said something and this was their fix and "cleaning" job.

I had AC issues since move in. The temp was always kept at 73 and it would freeze at least twice a month. They did a bandaid job fixing it. I told them that the compressor probably had to be replaced because it wouldn't keep freezing if they fixed it. I had a major water leak in the bathroom ceiling from upstairs. I had to constantly keep on them to replace the wet Sheetrock. They had painted over it and was going to leave the damaged Sheetrock in there. The gates were never working. I paid for my final month to complete my lease but didn't live in the apartment. I moved out April 30. I received a final bill today for water for a month that I never even lived in the apartment. I was a single person and was rarely in the apartment . They are charging me for carpet cleaning for normal wear and tear. My carpet looked the same as when I moved in. This place is ridiculous. I tried to do the right thing and paid for month that I wasn't even living in town anymore so I didn't break my lease and they are still ripping me off. I do not recommend this place.

I love the location. The staff is very nice and helpful to all my needs. I'm very happy living here. Compared to other apartments I've lived at . They are always taking care of the residents, making sure we are happy and making us feel safe. The maintenance is quick to fix anything that gets broken.

I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone, the staff is horrible! My family and I were going to move in. The day of move in, they decide to tell us the apartment is not ready they needed to replace a counter top and there was a leak. That is because I kept calling 2 weeks in advance to make sure it was going to be ready. We put a hold on the apartment 2 months prior to move in, they had plenty of time to have the apartment ready. They wanted to move us to another unit where the blinds were falling off, there was a crack in the sealing that looked like there had been a previous water leak, a big red stain on the bar and it smelled horrible in there... We asked for our deposit back, we were going some where else. I asked when the deposit would come in, she said it would take up to 2 weeks to come in. We just got our deposit back it took over a month to come in and I had to keep calling they never called to let me know it was in. Grace was also never there when we called and the other staff will not help if they did not rent out the unit to you. They say you have to talk to Grace when she's available or who ever first talks with you. They do not work as a team to help each other out there.

I have been living here sence 2015 overall the only good thing about living here is the office staff they are very friendly the problem is maintenance. maintenance is only quick to respond to ac issues anything elce you are better off fixing it youself the front gate has not worked for over a year the hollygate has not worked for at least 6 months people now use the hollygate as a entrance when it is a exit only almost hitting me a dozen times my car has been vandalized three times and broken into one time when maintenance does come they do the cheapest fix possible I had black mold in several locations I had to wait months for anyone to show up when they did all they did was painted over it now the mold is reforming over the painted spot the garbage disposal has been backed up for at least 3 months and I'm still waiting for it to get fixed. I had a constant water leak that lasted for 3 days. I had to call the office every day for 3 days before anyone showed up part of the ceiling came off and all they did was put a piece of plywood over the hole in the roof there have been several times I have called to check on work orders only to be told that they have been completed when no one ever showed up to fix the issue there has also been several times maintenance has showed up with work orders that I never called about you can hear everything the neighbors say or do through the walls and vents the rent is cheep however I feel that it is overpriced for the quality of the apartment everything is always breaking constant water leaks and AC issues this place needs to be updated the grounds are kept clean when I first moved in I was told I would have all new appliances only to find out that was not true when I told the office I was told that I should have had it in writing and nothing was done so be very cautious when moving in and inspect the apartment for yourself however over the past few months it seems that they are slowly trying to improve the property however there is still a lot of work that needs to be done I have lots of backed up work orders when I call to check on him no one knows anything about it where they say that they've already been completed when they have not they only seem to want to make things right when your lease is about to expire this place has potential it is a beautiful property in a great location

There are many terrible things about Walnut Ridge, but the worst is the people who work there. get a copy of all payments and documents, don't trust anything that isn't in writing. This property has many bug and water damage problems. At least half of the washing machines are broken at any given time (they are all card operated, no coins accepted, a blessing and a curse). The pools are also open about half of the time. Most tenant leave their trash by their front door for days at a time which becomes very nasty.

Seriously. Don't ever lease at or refer anyone to Walnut Ridge Apartments in Corpus Christi. I paid $500 deposit for a pet deposit and was supposed to receive $250 back. The lady even said my pet didn't ruin anything and I left my apartment in perfect condition. Their records showed I paid $80. You cannot have a pet for $80. Also, I gave notice on Oct 1 that I would be moving out by the end of my lease Nov. 30 so moved out Nov. 18 and had the electricity disconnected (but paid all of Nov. rent as per contract). I was notified that I had to pay the electric bill through Nov. 30. WHAT? Pay an electric bill when it was disconnected and I was not even there using it???? If anything they were in there using it to make ready the apartment for lease on my nickel. Anything to keep your money.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! I wish I would have read reviews before leasing it's disgusting. And the staff is ridiculous they never answer the phone. I've been here 3 months and our electricity turns off at least 6 times a week because they won't fix our breaker. And tell me not to have the AC/ heater on while cooking ???? We've had 3 rats! And they do nothing about it. Roaches. Our water heater busted all over the living room carpet and we called and they take forever and asked them to clean our carpet and they vacuumed up the water and put a fan! There was tons of mold where our water heater is. They just painted over it. It's ridiculous and distcusting. Cannot wait to leave these apartments. Automatic gate that is never closed! Our toilet leaks constantly and the water never stops running. We had a whole a rat chewed behind our fridge and they put tape over it. The rat ate threw it. Ate the bread from on top of our microwave. I spend over $100 buying rat traps. Our front door doesn't latch at all it will just open if you push it. Restroom sink is clogged up since we moved here can't even wash your hand with out waiting at least 10 minutes to turn the water back on again. I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THESE APARTMENTS TO ANYONE!

I have lived here fir 2 years, the staff is rude (i went to calmly tell them my mailbox got broken into and the made me feel like it was my fault and like they didn't care), the ceiling always leaks, and the AC breaks down every other month. I have a 1 year old so when the AC breaks I can't keep her at the apartment. This is not the place to be if you have a family.

I've only lived here since May, first off our ac froze up the FIRST week we moved here, it took maintenance 5 hours to finally come and fix it and that's because I called at 11 and they didn't put my request in till 2. secondly our ac unit is an old unit and we've told them multiple times that it never gets cool in or apartment and the ac never shuts off causing our electricity bill to be through the roof! I showed the manager my bills and everything and she said there was nothing they could do about it. & here I am today with my ac broken yet again, in our apartment that is already not cool as it is. I can not wait till my lease is up in November! Also out pooled hasn't been clean in over two weeks!

HORRIBLE! Rented with them for over 2 me who would remember to leave a THIRTY days notice prior to moving out TWO YEARS LATER! It was left April 3rd, lease was up April 30th. Not receiving anything back because I was prorated those "3" days! My whole experience has been a nightmare, from a moldy restroom the whole time I lived there, maintenance covering up mold with paint thinking it would not be noticed. I had a two bed two bath, but I was only able to use one bath the entire maybe you all should prorate that & give me back what I shouldn't have paid for. Leaks after leaks after leaks! Some which were not taken care of for MONTHS! I was compensated a $125 check, cool which was spent on products trying to remove the mold myself. My favorite story was a time I went out of town & could not pay rent online because I did not have my login information, I called the office ALL weekend long left numerous messages so I could pay while out of town & avoid a late fee. Of course no one returned my call & I had to argue with the property manager because NO ONE ever answers the phone at Walnut ridge. In the 2 years I have lived there I have had THREE different property managers! Always new faces in the offices! High turnover! Hmm wonder why?? RUN if you ever see case & associates on the property. Good riddance!

Rude office staff, maintenance does not respond to work orders. Black mold. Plumbing issues. Holes in tubs (rusted through). Leaks in ceiling from upstairs apartment. Bed rugs and roaches, pest control is a joke. Lots of issues with vehicle burglaries. Noisy, lots of traffic all night long. Lots of drunks and domestic desputes.

Resident for almost five years. They instituted a policy that you have to show your ID for a package. I go and provide my ID. They cannot find my package, and when I get upset about that they refuse to give me my ID back. I left, got my phone, and the employee still refused even when I advised I was calling the police. It wasn't until after I called the police and they were on their way did she offer to provide my ID. Refusing to return an ID is a crime. I did not curse, threaten, barely raised my voice. That is no justification to actually commit a crime and require the police to intervene. This is from the office staff at the apartment complex. They have access to your mail and personal information. This place is ridiculous. Also, I do have video of when I returned with my phone which includes the employee refusing to provide my ID and when I told her I was calling the police. The apartments are falling apart, the maintenance is slow and takes the least effort. Often they will half complete jobs and never finish such as my still unpainted bedroom door from about a year ago. Most lights, especially around the mailboxes are out. Constant roach and ant issues. Other residents have reported rats and I've seen the traps they do not maintain around the property. The pet deposit was $500 per pet when we moved in and $250 is actually a pet fee and does not go towards any damage at all. Since we moved in they now charge pet rent, which has gone up. The water used to be 20-30 and now it is often 40-50 for two people in a one bedroom. That is some expensive water. The dumpsters are almost always spilling over with trash because there are so few and they stink horribly. The location is pretty good though.

I just moved in about a month ago and so far the maintenance has been on top of things. I know they must have had some issues in the past but from what I hear they have a new staff and are eager to help you with any issues you might have.

Worst apartments I've ever lived in the maintenance is horrible and the staff always says the work order is put in but nothing ever happens I've called more than 30 times its been over a month and nothing gotten done . But yet if your rent is late by the 4th there quick to send over a notice on the door early morning to vacate unless payment is made but yet they get can't fixed the tub ridiculous I don't feel I should pay them until they fix it .

I currently live here and will be moving out when my lease is up. This place has potential its it a great location . I loved this place when I moved in the office staff is very nice . the grounds are kept up very good however the problem is maintenance I have a hole in the celling that started as a water leak making part of the celling fall off exposing a hole that I am covering with duck tape . the garbage disposal does not work the sink will clog after using it for a few seconds. The ac does not cool in one of the bed rooms. It never gets below 90 in that room even with three fans and we have rats we have been trapping them for 4 months and have caught at lease 8 I have been called maintenance for 4 months not one person has ever came last week I showed the office pictures of the hole in the celling to find out that maintenance has closed every work order I put in without ever coming out I was told by the office staff they would put in a new work order and mark it as urgent nobody has come yet . the gate is also never closed it will be closed a few days of the month before I moved in I was also told by megan that before moving in I would have new appliances. When I got the keys i was also told that they checked the appliances to ensure they were new immediately after moving in i could tell that all the appliances were years old so make sure to get any promises in writing.

I had wrote a bad review a while back and didn't realize there was a lack of communication between my roommate and myself. The managsr, Shaniqua, has really been helpful with any issue I have. I wasn't aware the last time I went to her with a problem she had it taken care of. Usually when going to her her she would be helpful so I was so taken back when I thought she had blown me off. But now that I know she did everything she needed to do I regret putting the bad review and took it down. She has also helped me to get a good price on my apartment because I was quoted wrong and within minutes of telling her she was already taking care of it. I appologized for any harm this caused to the apartment complex and definitely recommend this place to anyone. Especially if you're looking for a 3 bedroom. It's the best in corpus

Unfortunately, I have been living at this residence for the past 6 months (Aug-Jan) and this place has been nothing but unfair, overpriced, and poorly staffed. I can say that from move-in date to move out date, I still have not had my move-in checklist complete. They mentioned they were understaffed, so I have them more than the usual 2 week completion date, however, never got completed. I can say I have put in more than at least 10 repair notices and still, at the end of the lease, I have not been able to check off everything that was mentioned in the original checklist. I have been through 2 maintenance managers, the property manager, and a few of the leasing agents. I verbally in person told them about my checklist not being completed, over the phone, and through the online portal. I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone who doesn't want to be treated as a resident. As a student and living here, it has been nothing but another thing to worry about. They do not care for their residents as most complexes should. The price is not worth the living experience.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! This place was the absolute worst experience of our 25 year renting history. Before we even moved in it started going bad. The lady in charge of doing the billing and money was our first issue. When we paid our first months rent and deposit my wife wrote down our routing number wrong by one number on accident. She processed the payment and it rejected it. This "you know what" called my wife and told her, "you need to make sure you have money in your account before you pay your bills"! in a VERY RUDE manner. She was angry at us as if we were trying to pull one over on her. As soon as she ran the correct number it cleared but she never apologized for how she reacted. The manager is really nice but she lets the women in the office do what they want. The women that work in the managers office are the most rude, full of "you know what" people I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. I will not go into all the stories I have but trust me, these women are the worst! I have seen better manners in the really bad inmates I managed working for TDCJ. Almost every time we had a neighbor move above us they were terrible. We had to call the police on 3 of the 4 different people we had above us while we lived there. And if you do find yourself living here don't complain about anything or they will start to mess with you and try to cause you problems. Our apartment was flooded 4 different times during the year and a half we lived there! I think I would have had more peace moving my wife and daughter into a prison cell thank living in that trashy place! I have many, many more stories but I can't post them here due to the fact that I want to use profanity from my anger. All I can suggest to you is DO NOT MOVE TO WALNUT RIDGE APARTMENTS!

Do not move here. Takes weeks to get anything done. There may be 6 pools on the property but often times only the main pool is open, which is very crowded and dirty. The office staff gives excuses for everything and some are often very rude to residents. And the manager seems like she will resolve issues when you talk to her in person but good luck getting her to follow through or even return a phone call.
