WHAT A HORRIBLE PLACE!!! THEY SHOW ME AN APARTMENT THAT IS LOVELY BUT THE DAY I MOVE THEY GIVE ME A TRASH HOLE. ROACHES EVERYWHERE! THE SHOWER IS BROKE. THE WATER SOMETIMES RUNS!! HOLES IN THE CARPET AND MY CEILING LEAKED FOR TWO WHOLE DAYS! THE SMOKING OF WEED IS AWFUL AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. NO LATER THAN MONTH AFTER I MOVED HERE ONE OF THE OFFICE WORKERS WAS FIRED APPARENTLY... SMH!GUESS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR SO IF YOU WANT SOMETHING CHEAP AND JUST A PLACE TO SLEEP THEN COME HERE BY ALL MEANS!

*JUST A FRIENDLY WARNING

I am currently a resident @ these apt. I had no problems w/ the move in the girl in the front was extremly helpful, and friendly. But not even a month after my inital move in everything started to go down hill. There are leaks through out the whole apt they have done nothing about. They have come to patch a few of the leaks but leave holes in the walls, that smell of mold and for lack of a better word crap. It's embarrasing to have company over living in these conditions. When I do go to the office the manger is very sympathetic, but in my opinon has alot on her plate and things are not getting fixed nor are they within compliance w/ the city ordanace codes. One of the girls in the office Daphni Im unsure if thats her name (white girl w/ rotten teeth) she is extremly rude with no professional customer service what so ever she lacks common courtsy and common sense. I don't know how anyone would hire let alone keep someone like that to represent there company in such an ill manner. I guess if they say u get what u pay for... I pay for that trailer trash scumbag to treat me like dirt when my rent is always paid on time! Michelle is ok. And the manager is pleasent. I just can't wait until my lease is up so I can get out of this hell hole

Management Sucks Apartments are worst then slums of NY

Don't rent in this dumb. The managment here sucks and they do not want to fix anything in this apartment complex that is broken. The lie and very nasty and rude. Especially Daphne, she is the worst of them all. The lie and say maintance is coming to do the work and you put in work order after work order and nothing gets fixed. Don't let this rat infested place fool you. The swear they can get you moved in in less than 3 days because people are moving out left and right.

What a nasty, condescending comment to make about someone! REALLY??? Are you making disparaging remarks because they're valid? Or were they made because you screwed up (not paying your rent in a timely fashion, being nasty and not keeping a clean apartment, etc???) Or what? The amount of rent that is paid here can bring some unwanted tenants (that can be anywhere the rent is reasonable); but, those types of tenants generally don't last too long; and the management go out of their way to make this a nice place to live. It's people who aren't used to having anything nice that cause problems. Once people like what I'm assuming you are, are completely removed from the premises...THIS PLACE WILL BE A COMPLETE PARADISE!!!

Liar vaucluse

So I live n these apts for one month now & im still missing my closet doors & kitchen draws. They dnt return my calls then when I finally speak to someone they lie & say maintenance got it taken care of then she says my door order got messed then she says that otha ppl moved n before me & they get da doors first so I go in to talk face to face & she states everyone knows bout my doors like I dnt have to keep inquiring bout them well I dont care who knows bout my doors since they all kno then tell them to put my doors up so a few days past goin into week three so she says one maintenance guy leaves early but I should have it by end of week so following week comes still mow doors so I called to speak to manager she didnt wana come to phone cause on smoke break she yells thru speaker we got the order uhm how many doors u missing I say wow fina lie again so I say I dont kno neitha bedroom have closet doors. They act like its no big deal & I dont like that cause I pay my rent ole rude snotty ------- I bet not renew my lease if u thinkn of living here dont dnt even have strong hot water goes cold after 5 mins & gates r always open& thdy gave me the wrong gate code I am discusted wit my move here uggghhh they suck ---

I have lived here for 4 and half years and they treat you like a nobody and all they want is there money for everything and they give u nothing! The office staff is the worst! And u better hope that nothing breaks or needs to be replaced because you will have to call at least 2 or 3 times and then wait a week for it to be fixed and you will never get anything replaced with something new unless you PAY FOR IT! Every lease renewal your rent will go up, so don't fall for discounts they try to give you just to get you to move here. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

Electric Slamming

This is a terrible place to live. Had to turn them into the better business bureau and the public utilities commission for slamming our electric to txu and trying to bill us for three months without letting us know. All the first floor apartments have been robbed and they do nothing about it. maintenance requests have been ignored for a year. Simply not the place to move to

NOW CALLED ARBORS ON POST OAK - DONT BE FOOLED

My wife and i lived in the apartments for 6 months. It started out okay, the people in the office were nice and got us moved in in about 3 days, which was necessary. Everyone was friendly, did the $299 total move in, stuff like that. It was easy. In the 6 months we lived there, my wifes $60,000 car was hit 3 times (never had been hit in the year we owned it before this), and office wanted nothing to do with it. The courtesy officer was useless, we saw cars get broken into, and he would not return our phone calls or show up to check out the situation because "it was too late" and he was "sleeping" (at about 11pm)... We signed a 6 month lease because we were in euless for the summer for an internship, and due to have a baby early october. We intended to be out and back into our house by then. When we moved out, the office was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of to find out about getting our pet deposit back. We had one dog that was house broken, and when my wife FINALLY got ahold of the office (after about a week of trying to get them to do the walkthrough so we could get our deposit back), Mikki (in the office) was VERY rude, and stated that there were pet stains on the carpet and they would have to do a pet treatment. My wife didnt understand due to there NOT BEING pet stains on the carpet but agreed, and said that a pet treatment would be cheap and just come out of the deposit, right? oh no, Mikki insisted they would have to replace carpet padding, and that would take the full $200. On top of this, As we were preparing to move out and packing the apartment, another resident approached us trying to figure out how to get in touch with the office. The number they gave her when moving in took her to a computer company, and not actually the office. She had had her apartment broken into and everything stolen, all jewelry and anything else of value. The door was completely destroyed. She filed a police report, and even they could not get ahold of the office to have the door fixed. I still wonder what she finally did. Courtesy officer, maintenance, nor the 24 hr emergency lines would call her back about putting a new door on her apartment. She was unable to stay there because she no longer had a door!!! They are terrible. They recently changed the name to the arbors on post oak, saying they changed management, were "upgrading" the apartments (which if you ask me, they make them look WORSE... cheap and very unsecure)... i think its the same people trying to run from the BBB. I am filing a complaint with the BBB for the way the office treats their residents. They are all for taking money, but when it comes time to return deposits, they wont do it. They are ridiculous. Dont waste your money here, they will rip you off and NEVER come to your aid when you really need it. OH AND about 4 weeks before we moved out, our A/C started leaking BAD. We had to keep a trash can under it to keep it from causing water damage to the floor (because we wanted our deposit back)... Nobody would return phone calls or notes or send maintenance to fix our leaky A/C. They are TERRIBLE. Dont let them get you.

Bad times at Vacluse apartments.

My wife, son and I lived there for about one year And it was one year too long. We had every kind of problem with this apartment complex that you can have. From getting both of my cars Wrongfully towed. To the losing not one, not two, but three rent checks, one of which we handed directly to the manager. We had roach problems, pluming problems. The refrigerator was broken and the whole year. we told them about several things that didn t work including the refrigerator when we moved in. and they came to are apartments three times during the year and told us that they were doing surprise inspections of the place to make sure everything was working. Every time they came the stated all the things that were broken saying that they were on it and asked if there was anything else wrong. They never did anything constructive. They only thing they did was fix the gates that every one hated because the apartment is shaped like a circle and with one entrance gate and one exit if you lived on the other side of the entrance when you went in you had to drive all the way around to get to you apartment and the same goes if you lived on the other side of the exit gate hitting every speed bump in the place so it was quiet a joy when they broke. The only other thing they did was Change the code to the work out facilities. They changed it so much that it was impossible to use it. They changed it every week I m not exaggerating. They only way to get the code was to go to the office in person and get it well the only problem with that was I left for work before they opened and got home after they closed, and my wife couldn t go down there and get it because she was with are newborn in the apartment all day. They didn t seem to care how our fridge kept spoiling food because the door wouldn t stay on and that they couldn t keep track of money. but the gate and the workout room was important apparently. To top off are experience with this complex when we moved out we weren t sure if we still had a payment to make or if we were all paid off. First thing that happened that wasn t new they had no Idea. None nobody knew anything they didn t even know we were moving out. So we told them to let us know if we still owed anything they never called us they just sent us a bill for roughly 600 which was the same as are rent. They told us it was for new carpet. When we asked to see a invoice of the carpet replacement or any proof as to how it was ruined they had none simply stating that the manager saw it and had it replaced. And we were screwed and had to pay it.

It is truley horrid

I moved to The Vaucluse Apts back in 2007, which I'm currently staying..This is about the worse place I could have ever stayed..Even when I told them I have had problems with my apartment, including a oven that over cooks my food even if its on 250 my fridge leaks water.. my apartment SUCKS. and I pay rent on time and always have.. but you truly get what you pay for

------ Fabulous aka Vaucluse Apartments!!

Don't expect to drive up and see Vaucluse look like it does on their website. Those pictures were taken in 1984. Paint peeling everywhere. Swimming pool gives you yeast infections. Website says "lighted tennis court"...bullsh*t! My friend fell down when he stepped from the sidewalk to the tennis court because he couldn't see the mud on the court when he took a step. It's pitch dark. Don't expect there to be a smooth court or a freakin' tennis net on the court. Also, don't expect to play pool in the pool hall either. The table is sooo messed up that it is impossible to play a game of pool. Move here only if you like your vehicle getting broken into, watching big black dudes beat the ---- out of a group of girls, women dying in their apartments with meth labs hiding in their closets, waking up with cockroaches crawling up your legs, front doors that don't lock and balcony doors that are too hard to open and close much less lock! Oh, it took a whole apartment building to catch on fire before they started putting smoke detectors in peoples apartments too. If you are stupid and ignorant enough to move to Vaucluse, buy your own washer and dryer. Between the two laundry buildings on the grounds, about 4 washing machines work and about 4 dryers work for all residents to use. Please don't move here, especially if you have small children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT MOVE HERE - Broken A/C, Disgusting Draining at front door and balcony

We were in need of an apartment after moving here from Louisiana. The people in the office seemed very friendly and accomodating. We were in a pinch for a place and they didn't have any apartments available to view when we went to sign the lease. The day we moved in, we were not impressed. The refrigerator was at least 15 years old and had signs of rust in it. The laminate in the kitched and bathroom had started to peel. There were no baseboards on any of the walls,so you could see the walls chipped near the carpet. There were also drainage pipes in front of the door and by the patio on the first floor of all the apartments. They were not capped properly and we saw food and other things flow out of it until they fixed it 2 months later. The A/C system broke several times and never properly cooled. We were told to keep all the doors open to ensure circulation. I guess we didn't need privacy. We ended our lease early because they wanted to my autistic brother to leave. He got out at night and made his way into someone's home and just stood there. He didn't hurt anyway, but they deemed him a danger. You would think they might be considerate of his condition, but instead gave three days for him to leave. Instead of bothering with legal pains, we decided to leave the hells of Vaucluse early. They agreed to let us out of the lease, I guess it was easier than dealing with the possible descriminatory issues of kicking out a mentally handicapped person. We were honestly happy to get out of the place.

Renter's Worst Nightmare

They stoled my Utility Trailer with over $15,000.00 worst of tools in here, and the manager told me, "You should have gotten a storage unit somewhere else for it", but when I rented the place they told me thay had boat and trailer parking spot and that it was a safe place, and that the gate was going to be fixed in 2 months (which never got to be fix yet). I should have none it, because when I went to pick my keys the first day, they gave me a 1 bedroom apartment, when I wanted a 2 bedroom, that shows how mess up they are. The AC/Heater kept breaking up. The handyman of the property wold open your apartment to hook up there power tools from the inside of your apartment without permission or asking even though they where working the outside of your apartment (nice way for them to safe on the power bill by using yours). When I told the Manager that I wanted to move because they stole my trailer she said, "Fine, but you still have to pay me the rest of the lease" Can you believe her? I have been robbed and left without my belongings and she doesn't care, all she wants is your money. The place looks and feels like a ------ from New Orleans right now. Everything is old and patched up. I'm a real person My name is Roland Baez, and they mess up my credit for leaving early and being robbed.

-When you first walk up to the leasing office, it has a nice appearance, don't be fooled. ask to tour the complex or talk to residents when management isn't around many people living hear don't trust the management so we won't say anything negative in front of them -gates: frozen closed, essentially locked in/out way too often -Guests beware! my brother car was towed despite having a parking sticker, it was impossible to debate logically with management or the towyard. it's quite a scam -paint flaking off railing across complex, and siding falling off -trash everywhere, even in the trees -tennis court: no net surface covered in thick dried mud they promoted this court when I visited -ponds: when you tour the complex they say the ponds are temporarily under construction, but they always look like a cesspool -laudromat: on ocassion the machines work workout room: equipment barely functional

Not too bad

I lived her 9 years ago and just recently moved back in the first of the year. This used to be a really nice place to live. That's why I decided to move back where I would be closer to work. Between upkeep and some of the tenants, the property has gone down hill since I was here last. Since I've been here this time, I've noticed some improvements...slowly but it looks like they may be trying fix it up some. I love my apartment and have only had a couple of maintenance issues. Both were taken care of fairly quickly. I think the fitness center needs to be updated with new equipment as some if it is well worn. Covering the electrical outlets there would also be a plus! And what's with the security gates??? Can't anybody read? You go in one and come out of the other. Trying to beat them before they close to go in the wrong only causes them to malfunction. Also, when I'm trying to leave and almost get run over by someone going the wrong way...I'm the one who get's looked at like I'm the one in the wrong. HELLO!!! DO YA'LL NEED PICTURES along with the "DO NOT ENTER" signs? It would also be nice if ALL the parking lot lighting worked. A bunch of the lights are out. I too wish the staff were more strict on who they lease to. Don't they do background checks? If they do, what has to happen before they won't lease an apartment to someone???

What a dump

They pulled a bait and switch on me, they showed me a model and told me there were no others to look at at that time until i signed a lease. Yes i was stupid and in a hurry. There were fights in the parking lot. Drug dealing. People hanging out and lots of load rap music. gun shots on several occations, i had to escort my girl friend to and from her car she was affraid. The police were there frequintly.

This place is a dump.

Maintenance on this place is horrible. They will also show you a model apartment which is like the apartment you will actually rent but with several downgrades. Like old carpet, cheap cabinets, cheap vinyl (they get it at Dollar Tree) and missing the built in microwave. Make sure you walk into the apartment you will actually be living in before signing ANYTHING. You may also want to notice how many air conditioners are surrounding your bedroom. I happen to have 6 a/c units around my bedroom alone. Which you can imaging gets very noisy at night when you are trying to sleep. They are not in very good repair and make loud clicking and grinding noises. The "pond" is a sitting cess pool of stagnant water. In other states it would be considered a health hazard. I have not had any problems with the other tenants. For the most part my neighbors are quiet and mind their own business. I can't wait till my lease is up to move out of here. The only positive reviews on here on here are 3 reviews posted by the office staff posing as tenants. They give themselves away by updating their comments each time someone posted a negative review.

Don't understand how you can say the office is on top of things if you state: "Besides needing a good paint job there are a few minor things that we beleive should be fixed, such as the gates, the railing down stairs from me is not even connected to the ground anymore, in parts of our apartment the ground is not stable (it rocks back and forth),and the spa is just plain nasty." That is the opposite of on top of things. I don't know some people just may want to live that way. Take notice to how long it will take to get those things fixed.

Renter Beware!!

By far the worst apartments ever! I can't tell you the last time these buildings were painted. They office staff is a complete nightmare to work with and god forbid you ever need to speak to the manager, she always seems to be convienently out of the office. There is no need to report problems with your apartment because they won't come to fix them anyways. Please do your homework do not rent at Vaucluse Apartments. Drive past the nice model apartments and enter the true ------ that is Vaucluse.

Anyone else notice the post dates?

Anyone else notice that on the same day management left a remark against the guy that complained, two unbelievably happy people also suddenly popped up with full 5.0 ratings and good comments? The odds against that on this site are astronomical, not to mention the "photo" shown in the last post is obviously some sort of display apartment that's just been vacuumed and no one really lives in. Management must be sick of the bad ratings and is shilling their own score up pretending to be other people. I *was* considering taking a chance and checking this place out until I saw that. How pathetic.
