I have noticed most of the reviews on here have been bad. Most people writing them probably have had problems because they don't know how to pay rent on time or be patient. In all fairness, the staff here is really great. The apartments are very nice. I have lived here for 8 months and have NEVER had a problem. Something breaks, it is repaired. I go pay my rent and I am greeted with nothing but smiles. This complex was purchased in a very bad condition and now thanks to the new owners and management things are turning around. It doesn't stop there though. Every tenant has to do the part. The staff here is VERY FAIR. It's just some people are used to getting the way with ranting and raving. This is the real world ya'll. Grow up.

Not a place I would want my children to grow up at!!!!!!!

Well I am a resident and I cannot wait till my lease is up.I notice where there are 3 comments for the same day saying they love it which that must be the staff making comments.I would not recommend this place there rude,there are drugs being sold in the parking lot,the roaches are bad and there is a bad sewage problem.The apartments are in poor condition and you get the run around. Not only that why would I want to have my children be in a complex that has prostitutes working the complex. If you have a problem with this apartment complex make sure you report them to the Better Business Bureau and make sure you have your lease because they will change it on you to screw you out of your money!!!! Trust me that is what they are doing to me changing my lease but they don t realize I do have the original copy!!!!!

Ridiculus Fines

This place is awful. Do not move here. I am an educated professional and I find their business practices offensive. They seem really nice in the office. Until you have a problem. They do not do repairs in a timely manner and try to add on as many fee's and fines as humanly possible. I signed my lease in August 2007. I was told on my move-in date to make sure that I put the utilities in my name or they would charge me a fine. Not a problem. My unit was not ready on the date that I signed my lease until after 7pm. So they next day I sign up with the utility company online. I have emails from the utility company stating that I was approved. So far so good. I'm thinking "why are all these people complaining? It seems fairly decent around here. Management had been very polite and curteous". I was actually planning to leave a positive review. Well... I get a notice posted on my door at the end of September stating that I had not put the utilities in my name and they were charging me a fine of $50. So I print out copies of my emails from the utility company and write a little note explaining that I signed up for util's the day after my lease was signed. I get another letter telling me I need to pay the fine or they will start charging a daily fine. To that point I really believed that it was a mistake. So I wrote a letter explaining that I had set up my utility account the day after I signed my lease and that I had no control over how long they took to change over the service. I don't feel I should get a fine for something that is beyond my control. I got a nasty letter on my door from management telling me that I was told to turn on the utilities before I moved in. Thats a lie. I was moving from California and had never seen the complex except the pictures posted. I would not call a utility company and tell them I want to sign up before laying eyes on the apartment. Then I got an eviction letter on my door. So I paid the utility amount AND fine. I am going to file a small claims court petition to get the fine back. That is so ridiculous. Also the spa is a nasty little moat. Its got 3 inches of stagnant, slime water. I was told when I moved in that someone had poured sand buckets in the pool and spa. I was assured that they were already working on repairs. Well it has been 2 months and no repair in sight. Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act applies to leases and makes it unlawful to misrepresent the qualities of something (namely the property) If anyone is interested in a starting a class action suit please contact me at snwbnny9@aol.com. Also my air conditioner has not worked properly since I moved in. I've made 3 requests to have it repaired. That got me a nasty letter too. I will NOT be renewing my lease. These people take unprofessional to another level. I'm not an attorney but I am educated and if you would like to file a small claims suit or have a story of harrassment by management. You get what you pay for

I was in desperate need of a place to live and the rates were so low and they paid for my water I jumped at it. Plus they had a $99 move in. However when I moved in I had to scrub my entire apt because it was filty. There were dead roaches everywhere and not the small kind. The walls were dirty the window in my kitchen didnt close properly so any creature could have came in and out as they pleased, but it did come in handy when I locked my self out once. I didnt own a Vaccuum yet but you can be sure I bought one that week. The entire residence has a roach problem. My sink pipes broke more then once and I had leaks, and THE BUGS!!! I aquired a dog midway through my lease and paid in full the pet deposit which soon after they began charging "fines" if you didnT pick up after your dog. Which I was okay with. I thoguht maybe it would get people to start picking up after their dog, but when they slapped a fine an me I was pretty mad because they charged you by the pile and it was untrue. But I couldnt prove against them and they have no cameras so they were guessing as well. I paid it and never had a problem about it again. Plus now I am being hit by creditors for damages they cant explain or prove. They have "no idea" who has records of what was exactly damaged. They show no record of a pet deposit or security deposit. I cant afford a lawyer right now so I have to find other avenues on my own. So my mistake there was that when I left I didn't do a walk through so I am at fault there, its in the contract. There was drug trafficing all around me and the cops came on a regular basis. Needless to say this is not the kind of place I intended for my daughter to live. The maintenance staff is way over worked and the place is just all around dirty. They are shady people with no good intentions and you can never get answers unless your looking to lease. The management is horrible and always changing. I was here for 9 months. In my last few months a resident..a resident, whom I never found out who, started a newsletter with news from the neighbors warning you about things the management had been doing to them and the legalities of them. I was surprised at some of them and some not so shocked. Needless to say you would be in for a whopper of a ride if you sign with them.

DON'T MOVE HERE! WORST EVER!

I just moved out of those apartments after being there a year. I was never late on rent & didn't have many bad issues that could have the management staff be ugly to me. Anytime I made a request they couldn't fix it. Once they even said that on the third floor the temp in my apt would only be 3 degrees below the outside temp so it's not the AC that's broken. Anyone who gives these apartments a high rating is the management team because I don't know anyone who truely likes the management there. My AC was leaking condensation infront of my door and it was so bad it starting growing Alge and mold. They told me that since it was not in my apartment it was not a high priority and they couldn't clean it up. Three weeks later I got a letter on my door asking me to reconsider and resign a new lease and suprisingly the same day that nastiness on my door step was cleaned. Anytime I called up to the management office they were ugly to me. My boyfriends Motorcycle was stolen and I called to inform them and they simply said well we can't provide security in a snotty tone. I was calling for security I was calling to let them know that it was stolen from their property as more of an "FYI, shits getting stolen." These apartments suck. They don't fix things in a timely manner, and the people at the office are the rudest people I've ever had to deal with!

LAZY staff,Roaches,Mildew,and Old appliances,housing

I recently moved out i was theer 6 months to long,of course when I moved in ------ showed me diffrent apartment that was all neat,I never seen mine till I moved in,the carpet wea fillthy ,the toilet was rotted,teverything needs to be upgraded.When i move din 02/07 ------ said they were painting and upgrading everything that was a lie,The floors are scratche dup,but they put nites on your doors for stupid reason,The roaches are so damn bad,they lie and say they will spray,Maintenece is sorry!!!!!I lived by a -------- girl on housing whose car died for 3 months they never made her move it,but the maintence man knocked on my door about a trash can on my porch,its loud,----- and ------ are who i have spoken with and they are lazy and give u the run around,I am so glad I am gone,So if u like Roaches,Noise and traffic alnight,overflowing trash,and a ragedy apartment then that is ur palce to b, woudlnt recommend it to my enemy

Such an AWESOME place to live!!!!!!

This is such an amazing place to live. And It's unfortunate that disgruntled people(who are generally being evicted)are all that post messages. I really find the one regarding the plumbing issue(with pictures) hillarious. Especially becausee I happen to live in that building. They had plumbers working in there all week to get the problem fixed. It's even more hillarious that those people were already being evicted because of their violent tempers. Thank goodness they will be gone(courtesy of the mangement) soon. Everyone was getting tired of listening to their fighting.They took pictures of a sand pile that was there because work was being done. Poor angry people...all I can do is pray for them. I've attatched pictures of what it really looks like where the sand pile was briefly. Also, the comment regarding the person who was just driving around alledgedly and decided to post a comment.......Give me a break. No one has the time to sit down a post a comment simply because they were appalled after driving through an apartment complex. I've lived here so long and I'm out there walking my dog every night. I;ve never seen homeless people or drug dealings going on. I LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!!!!!

stay away ITS NASTY

This place is beyond nasty, management could care less on customer service & taking care of there residents. They are beyond unprofessional. The bugs are treated better here than any human being. This place is loaded with bugs & management does not care. They talk down to the residents and they lie. This property is sitting on top of water, it all stinks, the toilets and the showers are always stopped up and the sewer seems to come out where ever it can on the property. It lays all over ground and is left there. The trash is never picked up and the residents are treated with no rights.

Not a place for decent human beings

I just want to say, that I was planning on moving in...but after driving around the parking lot, I will NOT be moving in, EVER!!!!! I didn't even get my car into reverse before I saw a group of 3 wanna be gangsters smoking weed. And right at the entrance of the gate, there was a trashy van that hadn't been moved in weeks, and it had a board over the back window. I then drove around the back, and saw a woman wondering around, like she was confused. She looked like a total crack head!!! They say first impression is everything, and the 1st impression I got, was not good at all!!! So needless to say, I don't care how much money they give you for referring your friends, I wouldn't refer a homeless man to this trashy dump!!!! Just awful, and very trashy!!! And no, I did not get evicted, nor did I owe any rent...I was just scoping everything out...considering I have 2 young children. I would never place me or my family in that crappy neighborhood

If you love ROACHES & CHIPPED PAINT, then this is the place for you!

I hate this place with a passion. I can't stand roaches! When I checked the apartment out before I moved in, it was something I could deal with until my town home is ready. But after I moved in, the roaches were every where! If you accidentally touched a corner of the wall, chips of paint would automatically fall off! Not to mention the contour tops stain very easy, the refrigerator is small, the microwave is small, and the bathrooms are extremely small. There are no lights in the bedrooms so you have to supply your own. There aren't any fans, again you have to supply your own. But if all of this sounds appealing, then be my guest, this is the place for you!

Don't move HERE

This is my first apartment on my own. I thought I was getting a deal. Instead I ended up moving into a dump. I can't wait to move out at the end of the month. Nothing has worked correctly the entire time I have lived here. It takes forever to get anything repaired. The maintance team needs so much work. Instead of standing around smoking cigarettes they should try doing some work. They finally got washer and dryers that work. Yeah! Something they should have had all along. The "fitness center" has poor workout machines. This apartment complex needs a lot of work. It is such a relief to move out. I learned you get what you pay for.

You know when I lived there back in 2000 there was one night when a woman comes banging at my door screaming "he gots a shotgun help me!!!! he is going to kill me"! By the time I went to the door she was gone but I did hear her yelling in the distance. When I did come out, my neighbors were coming out too. It seem she was banging on everyones door for help from someone who was going to kill her. Come to find out later that night there was a domestic dispute from another apartment building and I am guessing her boyfriend or husband was chasing her around the complex with a shotgun threating to kill her. I am glad to say she was fine. From then on I felt that this complex was going down the drain. I moved shortly after that.

Roaches,Mildew,and FILTH!!!!

We thought everything was fine and dandy when we saw the model apartment, but come move in day, nothing was what it appeared to be. Before we ever moved our stuff in, we viewed our actual apartment, and it was FILTHY!!!! As soon as I got there, the toilet upstairs was shooting out water and it flooded the bathroom upstairs, and it even leaked down through the vent to the downstairs bathroom. We called maintance,but he was stuck in traffic and wouldn't be there for 30 minutes.Needless to say,we stayed there for a few hours, and they never showed up. By the next morning, they still hadn't shown up. The vents were so rusted that the paint was chipping off!! The vent in the kitchen ceiling had mildew/mold in it. Behind the stove, I found ketchup packets and beer bottle caps. Behind the refrigerator was even worse! Within 30 minutes of being there, I saw about 5 roaches! And the dryer vent had about 3-4 inches of lint hanging off of it. The ceiling looked like it was about to cave in! There were cobb webbs in the corner of the wall! I have a young baby, and the living conditions of this place is very unsanitary,very unhealthy,and very unsafe.

Probably not the best place....

My leasing agent really helped me out by getting me a discount plus a student discount. It was my first apartment so 650 sq. feet was enough. Everything was ok for about the first 1 month but then i got electric bills for 250.00 -300.00 when i was never home. the house was very clean but there a "super roaches" every where there huge and raid did not work. i heard about the violence and drugs after i moved in and this is very true. i have maintainence requests pending from my move in date. these apartments are in need of an upgrade everything is old and barely works. the apts. would be ok if they upgrade and clean up the area. now it's under new management. they have painted 1/4 of one complex from blue to black and that was a month ago. they come and spray for bugs now and they are back in 2 weeks so this place must be infested i have the loudest neighbors ever. i can understand one incident but this is every night it doesn't help that the walls are paper then. we have gate cards that do not work. the gate has 3 speed bumps right in front people speed race through the parking lot the biggest problem is that they need to fix the place up and clean up the community<br>

I think Vaucluse apartments are really nice, i have lived here for more then 4 years and i dont have any complaints but what i really think is that the idiots who sit and cry about a property are stupid, get a life better yet move, why ----- about something and sit on the internet and cry get a life losers. I plan on living here until i get a house.Whatb do you expect in a apartment communtiy with everyones diffrent personalities, this aint adam and eves day were not perfect, no one is. Air Conditioning

mgmt is not attentive at all to their tenants. the parking is reserved and people will fight you over YOUR PARKING SPACE. maintenance is slow also. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone.

Don't think about it

This is my first apartment in tx.<br>I thought it was ok til i moved in. <br>they keep the property nasty....the pond is disgusting,<br>it has been 90 degrees for 4 days my air has not been working and i have to 2 small kids. I called and left a message twice no one has called me back or maintanence hasn't come. These apartments need to be torn down. I have an ant problem and cock roach problem and every other week i call them and all they can do is spray. These are disgusting and none liveable apts. Don't think about moving here please

Don't Even THINK About It!!!!!!

The Vaucluse Apartmenst were an absolute nightmare, even for a first apartment. Not ONE month after we purchased our new car, and UNKEPT tree that happened to be perched over our parking spot, dropped a rather large limb that had been damaged and reported some time before, directly on our brand new car. We lived on the second floor, constant noise at all times of the day. The woman that lived underneath us was raped by someone who LIVED IN THE APARTMENT COMPLEX. There was constantly police called for various disturbances. The grounds ARE NOT well lit and are very unsafe at night. You only get one assigned parking spot, even if you have two cars. The grounds are unkept. Between the peeling paint and falling siding, the complex looks like crap. Overall, HORRIBLE, go down the street to Ash Lane and, in most cases, pay less for a better place.
