Good value on the west side of town
I lived here for two years with a roomate and had no major complaints, we lived on the third floor in the south east corner of the Apartment complex. We always made good use of the Racquetball cort and gym, and the staff is friendly enough. We personally never had problems with security. Overall, just a good experience.

Awesome complex and friendly stuff
I have lived here for the last 6 months. The complex is beautiful and my apartment is spacious. The thing that makes Amli on Eldridge Parkway stand out is the leasing office stuffs. Issila, Kim. Randy, Rober, and Stormie are all extremelly professional and friendly. No complants whats so ever from here. Planning hto stay here at least for the next 3 years and just upgraded to the 3 bedroom town homes. I would highly recommend this family friendly complex to everyone.

dont live here
i got robbed, and it had to be someone who had a key, im pretty sure it was someone who worked here with maintenance...they lied and said it was some kid walking around the apt complex, but when they asked everyone about it no one saw anything. If you do anything wrong they will charge you money for paying the maintenance people after they rob you. And the front desk staff feels they have the right to call you and talk to you like you are four years old when you are renting an apt from them.

DO NOT Move to AMLI on Eldridge Parkway
I am currently living here from last 1.5 months. I spoke with apartment management about few issues on very first day and they did not fix it till now. Their maintenance is VERY BAD. The maintenance staff are robbers. I have heard so many cases where, when ever a maintenance work is done when nobody is at home, they lose some items. Management says that they have no idea who did that. The management and maintenance guys share that stolen items. The management is very rude and arrogant. Until you sign the lease, they speak very well and once you sign the lease, they will show their true colors. I will never live in any AMLI apartment in future. The apartments are decent and parking is ok. But there are lot of crimes and robberies in this complex. The entrance gates are always open and there is no security here. You can see animal ---- all over the apartment complex (on roads, sidewalks too) Very dirty apartment complex. To wrap up the story, decent apartments, bad management, bad / lazy maintenance, dirty complex, crimes and robberies, very expensive compared to other apartments.

Honest Review
My g/f and I have lived in this complex since January of this year. The complex itself is really nice and the grounds are kept neat for the most part. The apartments themselves are ok, but a little overpriced for what you get. But, for the energy corridor area it s very reasonable. The maintenance people are friendly and they are really good about getting things fixed within the 48 HR window they advertise (otherwise you get free rent until they fix it). Keep in mind there are pre-selected maintenance requests that only apply to this rule. There is no shortage of restaurants within walking distance of this complex, as well as shopping (Kroger right across the street and a Target shopping center about 2 miles down the road). It is a little hectic getting in and out around the morning and afternoon (after work) because Eldridge is a busy street, but it s not really that bad if you re brave. The only concern anyone should have moving in here is the crime. Three days after moving in, I witnessed two men breaking into an apartment downstairs from us. We ve also had about 4-5 notes from the officeā¦Ā See More>anonymous

A big NO
I was in this apartment complex - The apartment complex is really good - I wouldnt complaining much about the maintenance too. Parking everything was fine with me, The only problem i had was when i moved out - Where the management put so much of fines that i could not believe. Especially for asians - They say the apartment has got food smell - I never heard such a complaint before - They almost charged around 500$ for this one saying they had to re-paint and food smell penetrated into the walls -- couldnt believe that people humiliate and torture and rob this way. I cleaned the whole apartment and did not even cook for almost 1 week since i already moved to a different place for almost 2 weeks before my final day at amli. Inspite of that they charged me almost 850$ in fines. All my previous times i never paid any fine and this is the first time -- They just will try to rob you. I think it was kim with whom i talked to. At the beginning when u try to lease they would be good- But after u get there and when uā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Never ever stay here
We moved out of this apartment recently with lot of bitter experience... Thanks god ... The whole management team specially -------------------- - remember this name if you stay there) is the worst... They just want to take money out of your pocket by somehow with fine for lot of stupid reasons saying you did this, that blah blah blah... You will lose your confidence staying here in peace. Burglary is one of greatest threat in this apartment complex. They are having repetitive stealing and management keeps their finger crossed saying "We are trying to solve it", but it never happens. The burglar are breaking the door/window almost every week in one of the apartment and stealing valuable stuffs (money, jeweler, expensive electronic & decorative items), Be aware of this place..... Inside the apartment there are lots of bugs (spiders, huge ants, and little things with lots of legs). They do pest control with no result. We had problems with our tub and sink draining. The dryers and washers break down frequently and it takes a while until they're repaired. The staff can be mocking and none of the manager (specially ---) has absolutely no people skills and is difficult to work withā¦Ā See More>proton2000

Its been good journey so far
I have been living in AMLI for about an year and my spouse for year and a half. We recently moved to a new apartment within the community (from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom). Of course we did not get any referrals but we did get 1 day period to move all our stuff into the new house. The community is clean with good landscaping. The swimming pool area is also very nice in the summers. The pool is cleaned up in summers every day to make it usable. The gym is also much better than the communities near by. Security is a little iffy. There have been numerous cases of robberies. As they say - it is upto you to make your home secure. But i believe there can be steps that can be taken to reduce it. Have additional lights in non-lit areas, do not keep the back gate open during the weekends. Parking has been adequate. I always found a parking space near my house - If that changes in the future I will deal with it. Maintenance service has been really good. I really like the professionalism of people on the maintenance job. They not only serveā¦Ā See More>couldbebetter09

Nice Apartments, but not so much with the staff
I have lived at AMLI on Eldridge sine the summer of '08 and almost from day one i have had an issue with the staff. I was told there was a special for 100 off first months rent or something so that was nice. So i paid my rent for the few days that i had lived there in june and when July 1st came i paid the full month minus the 100 special. Well I get a letter on my door on the 3rd or 4th of the month saying i was late with my rent and they were trying to charge me 50 for being late. I had to talk to three people all who acted like it was someone else's fault for their lack of communication. Well they made me come in twice after my first initial signing of all the lease agreement paperwork to sign it again, because they kept typing it up wrong. While signing my paperwork the second time, the staff there was very unprofessional and just kept saying bad things about ex employees and current employees, regardless if they were bad employees or not, you do not talk about them in front ofā¦Ā See More>anonymous

not so happy experience...
We lived here recently...for the period of six months. At the time of move-in apartment had roaches in it!(& tht used to freak out my toddler!).They hv some 48 hr maintenance guarantee.I always used to observe tht. whenever I called them for some repairs ,they always used to come after 2 days...just before their 48 hr rule.Once I had problems with toilet flush, tht time too!Well I had two bathrooms in my apt,so didnt affect me much..They hv adequate parking space.Never had a problem abt tht!But I heard some news abt broken cars& apartment break-ins.I also received letters from management regarding them!& ya..be careful while walking on the grass!you may not want to step on some doggy-poop!At the time of move out ,they will charge for few things..!Including odor treatment, specially if you are an Indian!I paid $130 for tht!The office staff is good. But by my overall experience,I may not refer this to my friends!

Love it!!
My family and I have been at amli since march 2007...we love it here. The staff is nice and very helpful, the complex is clean and well kept, and the company tries its best to keep it very safe (whihc it is). They keep the residents very up to date about everything...even after Ike they emailed us about what was going on at the complex. They have a 48hr policy abt mant. and they live by that...everything gets fixed with in 48 (for me its has been within 24 hrs). The only reason we are planning to move out is the rent is just too much. and it goes up everytime u renew ur lease (whihc is normal).

So So
Okay, I lived here for four years so I feel like I have a wide enough time frame for a valid opinion of the property. I first rented in June of 2004 and the community was very nice then. I never really had much contact with the managment company (which had just switched to Amli), but I never had any issues and any maintenance issues I had were taken care of. Biggest thing... maintenance had left my apartment door completely unlocked MORE THAN ONCE! I can say that the reason I decided to move out was because of the slow decline of the property. It is true that crime in the area has increased... we received letters several times of car and apartment break ins. However, I can't fault the apartment community for that. This is a city and regardless of where you live, those things happen. They probably could put a little more effort into making sure the drive gates work properly to create somewhat of a deterrent to the "unwanteds". The exterior of the building are not well maintained... moldy looking apartment doors, siding and rails to balconies andā¦Ā See More>DerekHall

Pretty good place to live.
My wife and I have rented two apartments at AMLI on Eldridge - a two bedroom, and now their biggest three bedroom (since we had our second daughter). We've had very few problems with the apartments themselves - our air conditioner went out, but they were fairly quick to fix it, and even knocked off some money off that month's rent. No problems whatsoever with the management...as far as apartment management companies/staff go, they're pretty good. For the money, I'd say you'd be hard pressed to find a better value in the Eldridge area. 1,575 square feet for less than $1,400/month. The only thing that has bothered me is the break-ins on the property...nothing has happened to us, but there have been others. The carded-entry gates to the property usually work, but when they don't, they remain open for every yahoo to roam the property. I wish they'd either get more reliable gates, or hire security full-time.

Not worth it...
I was here for 1 full year. The service is good. The bad part is pretty much for any Asian that lived in this community have been charged for de-oduring the cooking smell to the extent of $300. I had 3 of my co-workers who have been charged such an amount on vacating. If you cook at home and if you are asian (India...) be prepared for the de-oduring bill....Good luck.

Appartment safety sucks
There has been an increase in robberies (9 in over six months and 3 over thanksgiving weekend with one robbery occurring while resident was at home) in this apartment complex. Apartment management is totally callous and has no genuine interest in the safety of the residents. Requested more security and police patrol but do not see police patrol at all times. Management claims security is not their responsibility. Especially do not recommend this apartment community to any desis.. Worst management I have ever seen..

Not safe - average of 1-2 House break-ins since May 07
This place is not at all safe. There has been at least one house break-in every month and a few of these have happened when the residents were in the house. This is very surprising since it is not so bad in the adjacent apartment communities.

Management needs to improve
I have lived in this complex since December 2006. I will not renew my lease. I'll try to be short. Management is rude. Pool rules are not enforced. Every month we get a letter stating a different building and car that was broken into. Cheap repairs in the apartment. Air Conditioner don't work properly. Charge for water and garbage is outrageous.

Show me an apartment community that have no problems and I'll show you an idealistic society. Anyone with two eyes can see that it is a beautiful place. The office staff may not be as perky as a McDonald attendant on a friggin commercial, but dealing with people may not be as easy as some may think.

The community is one that some could only wish to live in. I saved money by using the fitness center on the property. I hardly ever see anyone use the Theatre room...but atleast it is an option. The area the community is in is almost perfect...Grocery stores and shopping are not far and are nice stores. There are also many nice little specialty restuarants on Eldridge. There are many other reasons I could give to live at this community but visit...then make your own decision.

Bad Management
I lived at AMLI for 2 years before leaving. My sink backed up for no reason and it took them 2 days to get someone out to fix it. Meanwhile water leaked all inside the cabinet and floor. When the guy arrived, he didn't speak English and it was difficult to communicate. He did the best he could and fixed the problem. When I asked about the mold that grew under the sink, they sent out a cleaning person who painted over the growth and left my items on the kitchen floor. They charge a HIGH AMOUNT for water and trash. There were several reports with the City of Houston about the trash overflowing. Here we are paying $4.99 per 1 bedroom and MORE for trash pickup and the stuff was all over the place. The late fees are out of this world. There is a $10/day late fee along with the $75 initial fee for being late. The best part is this $10/day fee nexer hits a max - 29 days late = $290 $75 in fees. All I can say is that this property looks nice, but with the latest Katrina residents that arrived, I am glad Iā¦Ā See More>A4 - Sophisticated
