I like the buildings, trash pickup, my neighbors, the buildings, mingles and landscapes, but not the noise. my wash machine was supposed to be changed and it still has not been. I believe that my shelving unit could be moved to the wall and the wash machine could be moved out. I was told that I had to remove things from my shelves, however they are heavy items and cannot lift them. This machine was like that when I moved in and should have been checked before I moved everything in

Although I've been here only a month, I'm very pleased with Overture/Fair Ridge. The apartment is well laid-out and has everything I need for a pleasant lifestyle. The location is terrific; the amenities plentiful and useful; the staff helpful, friendly, and responsive; and the resident community friendly.

Most residents seem to like it here, but it's not right for me, and most of my friends own housing or want to live in Arlington, Alexandria or the District, so they wouldn't ask whether I recommended Overture. It's too noisy for me, and there is so much dementia and so many disabilities that it doesn't feel like an active adult community. But most of the residents are nice, and the staff works hard.

This is a very nice, clean and safe community. Now that we have been able to be vaccinated I am enjoying all kinds of activities and get together. I moved in during covid and of course we could not gather indoors safely.

Overpriced for services provided. They have come a long way since they first opened. The maintenance staff are competent. Suzy the transportation coordinator is exceptional. Lots of new construction in the area future traffic will be a problem. Location of fire department Police department and hospital is a plus

This is a lovely, well maintained complex with pleasant management and maintenance personnel. I don't have a pet, but I really like the fact that pets are allowed, as I know they improve the quality of life of their owners. My neighbors are pleasant and friendly.

My elderly mother would rate the community a 5 out of 10. There are a number of reasons to move here and many reasons why you shouldn't. Some of the office staff are not professional and maintenance can be better. Mom said residents have witnessed office and maintenance staff flirting with each other and residents.

Overall, this is a good place to live. The management personnel are friendly and easy to work with and maintenance is timely and well-done. There were lots of activities before COVID and we have been assured that they will resume as soon as possible.

The administration is wonderful! I have a problem with different ways people act! There are a lot of Downers and " bosses" among the residents! I also have a problem with resident above me- Chastity spoke to him and he was better! He was up at 3:30 this morning making a lot of noise and a horrible thud at 5am every morning! People should be screened better before being accepted!

Staff is always willing to listen to concerns and work with residents on solutions. Beautiful apartment building with great common areas for social activities. Especially like the pool area, work out room and the movie theater. We were able to reserve an area to have a Christmas get together 2019.

The apartment complex is lovely and amenities are well suited for the senior population but there is a disconnect with maintenance. However, our request and followup reminded have fallen on deaf ears. We simply have been unable to get a light bulb replacement in a reasonable amount of time a d no one follows up to let us know there will be a delay or the reason for the delay.

I love love love Overture!!!! I highly recommend this Apartment Living here of over 62s to all those interested in peaceful, enjoyable, quiet, and beautiful living environment! I have lived in other apartments in my life and have never enjoyed my apartment as much as being a resident here at Overture! I have never felt more like being at home. Now that I am here over 6 months I feel it is time to comment. I love it here. The staff is outstanding. I always feel welcome in the office and know they are always listening and trying to satisfy everyone (which is impossible but they make a valiant effort). Management is very responsive and any issues (replacing a light bulb for example) are dealt with almost immediately. Location can't be beat - everything is 5 minutes away. Residents are friendly and I feel very safe, even when I walk my dog very late at night. I had a very long list of wants and needs when I was moving to VA from out of state and this is the only place that had virtually everything. Highly recommended.

As a chef for seniors for many years,I had my share of difficult ageing people,but remembering that may be me one day,or thats somebodies Mom,or Granma, I had no right to upset these people-and neither do you-extra sausage? An overture is the opening music for a musical. My experience thus far with my own overture at the Overture certainly indicates a smash hit. The staff, the apartment, the layout are just perfect. Everything says that I made the right move to this community.
