This is where I want to live!
I found these apartments to be exactly what I'm looking for, space-wise and vibe-wise. The pool and outside gathering spot is great for hangin with friends. Waiting for my condo to sell and looking forward to living in this quiet, wooded, and inviting community :)

Terrible manager Cassandra Feldt.
Be prepared that you may not receive your full deposit back, even if you provide clear evidence. In my case, manager Kasandra Feldt attempted to charge me for carpet stains that were already there when I moved in — I have photos taken on the day of move-in to prove it. Instead of reviewing the evidence, she acted extremely unprofessionally: spoke in a rude manner, refused to listen, and ultimately called the police on me, even though I remained calm and respectful the entire time. She also falsely claimed that no move-in inspection was conducted, even though I completed one and informed the management. I am extremely disappointed with the way tenants are treated here. If you value honesty and respectful communication, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place — or at the very least, document everything from day one.

Quiet Community but annoying Front Office
St Johns is a quiet community in the woods which has its pros and cons. You do hear sirens and the apartments are way older which doesnt justify the rent prices they set. Management also bombards you with emails and calls. They are overbearing if you have a plant hanging on the balcony. Parking depends on the building but people zoom in and out of the complex. There is often. an overflow of trash and bugs.

Exceptional staff, both office and maintenance
Extremely responsive to tenants needs. We have lived at St. John’s Wood going on eight years and never have had a problem involving customer service or maintenance issues that were not swiftly resolved.

Great maintenance team experience
In the process of moving into our new apartment at St John's Wood, we have found the maintenance manager to be so responsive and effective with our requests. He even made a point to come in the first days before the movers were coming to introduce himself and listen carefully to our requests. We feel our rapport with the maintenance team at the apartments we have lived in is so important to our whole living experience and so we are very pleased with the St John's Wood maintenance team already.

3 years at St. John’s Wood
I love living here. There is a pool for my daughter to enjoy in the summer. Northpoint shopping center within walking distance. I go hiking at Great Falls National park which is close by. I am able to have my dog here. It is kept clean and quiet with friendly neighbors. Maintenance is quick and gets their job done. Trash is picked up at my door. Comedy nights at the clubhouse are my favorite. Lots of walking paths to get everywhere and walking distance to Aldrin Elementary.

Just a quick thanks to the maintenance staff at St. John’s Wood, in Reston, VA. As always, Alieu and his new partner Jorge, have responded to our requests on minor issues in a timely and professional manner, with 100% satisfaction. This has held true even during the trying times all of us have experienced in the past several years. Thanks again Alieu & Jorge Tim and Kay Mosher

Quiet and peaceful property surrounded with trees and walking trails. Close to shopping center. Property is well maintained and managed. 5 Stars to property manager Ms. Donna and her staff. Ample parking, plenty of street and parking lights. Safe at night. Responsible and professional adults live in this complex. There should be a designated "Pet" and "Smoking" areas around the property. This will keep dogs off the grass in front of the units. The occasional smoker also deserves a place to enjoy a smoke.

I have thoroughly enjoyed living at St. Johns Wood for over two years for the following reasons: * They provide wood for the fireplaces in the apartments. I love my fireplace during the cold months! *Leasing office/management are wonderful! They are very nice and always willing to help. * Maintenance issues are handled quickly! *Walking distance to shops and restaurants *Very quiet neighbors and within a neighborhood *Nature trails close by! * Unique floorplans * Social events (except during COVID) * Professionally clean your carpet when you renew you lease *Valet trash pick up service

I recently moved to St. Johns Wood with my partner and we couldn't be happier. The management team, staff, and neighbors are fantastic! The grounds are well kept and surrounded by plenty of tree. The neighborhood is the best, with everything you need in either walking distance or a short drive. The area is quiet with the occasional loud siren but otherwise pleasant. We couldn't be happier!

Lived at St. John's for one year. Pros: tucked away in the woods makes for a nice ambiance (however this means there are a lot of bugs), parking is free and ample, utilities are reasonable, prices are fair, the bus stop is very close, shopping center across the street and lake Newport is also within walking distance. Apartments have balconies with is nice. Residents are mostly quiet and keep to themselves. Cons: speed bumps in the parking lot are very obnoxious. Appliances look nice but are a little old. Maintenance normally takes more than a day to respond to requests- in other apartments I've had maintenance respond the same day. The biggest con here is the attitude of the property management- they constantly send out emails scolding residents for doing various things wrong- litter, smoking, noise, the gym, the pool, trash, not picking up dog poop, guest parking... you name it, I've gotten an email from them about it. The valet trash is another con-- if you don't follow every single rule to a tee, you will get a letter threatening a fine on top of the service fee you already pay. Doesn't matter if you moved in 3 days ago, they will be on your case if you make a mistake.. who knew there could be so many rules about a trash service? On the surface, the staff acts nice, but it always seems to me like they are constantly annoyed by the residents.

There was mold that that maintenance neglected to fix during the entirety of my lease. There were TONS of cockroaches. No matter how many times the exterminator came out they were always there. Maintenance did not provide notice of when they'll be there. The office will never call you back. And there is a lack of communication in the office. You get different answers from everyone in there. They also provide no notice of when they are doing extensive work in the community. Like, when they cut down all of the trees they used heavy machinery. I worked nights so I didn't get any sleep for a week and half.

Not much of a commenter. But. I would suggest that people live here. It is great. Friendly people and a great location close to a shopping center. There is a bus stop not more than 2-5 minute walk from here.

I find St. Johns Wood to be a warm and inviting apartment home development. It's a quiet development tucked away in lush landscaping. I recommend anyone looking for a new apartment home, to stop by for a visit. One of our knowledgeable and friendly leasing professionals will be happy to give you a tour. Laurie H.

experience is okay overall. I dont hate it but I also dont love it. I really wish the management will think about assigning parking spaces and issue a fine for residents who dont pick up their dog poops.

I've lived here many years and consider St. John's Wood my home. The location is ideal, what next to North Point Center, near Town Center, and with endless trails to run and hike on. The price is right, the staff congenial and responsive, and my apartment suits my needs.

We have a long history with St. Johns Wood: My father lived (and sadly died) at St. John's Wood (I still feel his presence and can see him waving at me for the last time under a flowering tree in front of his apartment). My sister and husband lived there and got married in the recreation room. One of my best friends I met at St. Johns Wood as she was a leasing agent there. We love the community! My only concern is how high my rent was just increased after a 6 month lease. I would really like to stay, but the increase (I believe) is exorbitant.

This is strictly a commuter apartment for me. There are things that are annoying (very bright lights, loud gutters, freezing cold bedroom, and significant increase in rent each year) but so far it's been too much trouble to move. However, I do feel safe here, and it's very conveniently located.

I enjoy living here. The only complaint might be that the apartment feels a little 'cramped' since it is not as big square footage as other places I have lived but it is a great community with a great location and nice and clean and quiet and convenient to most things.
