Wonderful!
Okay, it's not the newest complex, but the apartments are well-laid out and well-maintained. The management is wonderful -- they're responsive, solicitious and caring. Any additional accoutrements such as new paint, ceiling fans, shower rails, etc. are there for the asking. And maintenance -- 24 hour resolution guaranteed. 20-years of living in apartments across the country, and we've never had such a wonderful experience!

Nice Place to Live - Convenient, Quiet, Comfortable
I´ve lived here for almost two years and I have to say that it is probably the best apartment complex that I have lived in.

It is located at a prime spot. You have a Giant, Blockbuster, Starbucks, cleaners, restaurants, etc. located directly across the street.

Everybody in the complex appears to be respectful and keep the noise to a minimum (i.e. - no wild parties going till 3am).

The management is almost always available and the maintenance people are prompt (usually within 24 hours) and do a very nice job. The grounds are always well maintained.

My only complaint would be that during the snow storms the snow removal was virtually non-existent.

I have lived in a lot different apartment buildings all over the country and I have to say that for an overall experience this is by far the best. It´s perfect for people that just want to live in a nice, "no stress" environment.

Pretty, convenient, pricy but you get what you pay for.
The apts. are across the street from the North Point Village Centre in lovely Reston, Virginia. Doubtly the prettiest complex available in Reston, it is nestled in the trees such that from the main roads (the intersection of the Reston Pkwy and Central Harbour Rd.) one would not know it there apart from the large sign on the corner backed by the ubiquitous Reston fluora. St. Johns Wood is also convenient to many walking trais from Whele ave in the north and beyond to the Lake Anne village centre with the only inconvenience being the occasionally difficult traversal of Baron Cameron to the south. The advantage of North Reston is its proximity to Rt. 7 via the Reston Pkwy and the Fairfax Co. Parkway to the west along Wheele. The other advantage to North Reston is the well-lit streets since North Reston, unlike the south, has ample street lamps along its roadways, making it safer than other parts of town. The Reston is also very convenient to Dulles airport and the Dulles access road may be used to get to the airport for free. The property is run by warm, friendly people making living quite convenient.

The main detractors I would list are to do with the facilities and certain restrictions (some to do with the town council of Reston). The property pool is convenient but perhaps as waste of space that could otherwise be used for a more year-long activity like tennis. The complex is within walking distance of 2 Reston public pools (the closest to the north along North Village Ave.) as well as tennis courts and other civil amenities so the pool is somewhat underused. The "fitness" room is small, and although having cable, it has only 3 aerobic machines (2 jogging, 1 stairmaster), one more versitile aparatus for various strength-building exercises and a small wrack of dumbels. This is connected to the main clubhouse and has external access for the residents. There are also a couple of grilling stations on the complex hidden behind the trees, but the best barbaque facilities are again to the north via North Village Avenue which can be reserved at the Reston community centre. Also, because of limits on the amount of "branding" of properties in Reston, one is not allowed to install Satellite dishes the extend outside ones balcony. The is not as much an issue for south-facing apartments, but is means north-facing ones are restricted to cable.
