I was told by a wise friend to either live where you work or where you drink. In Scott's Addition, there's both! (Husband works here, and our favorite drinking neighborhood with all the breweries). And The Preserve is the best SA neighborhood by far. Spacious and unique floor plans, upgraded appliances. We feel so comfortable here.

There was a review written on 11/13 that could have been written by me. I share this resident's exact sentiment. I've lived here for a month and I love almost everything about the property: Great staff, responsive maintenance team, phenomenal location, very well managed property! However, I hate my apartment; primarily due to the fact that my neighbor blasts his TV whenever he's home and has parties on weekends. I wouldn't be surprised if the person who wrote that previous review lives on the other side of †his neighbor. To their credit, the staff at the property have been responsive toward my complaints and are currently looking to transfer me to another apartment. Be aware that if you rent on the found side, some of the apartments are only separated by drywall and have concrete floors which facilitate sound wave transmission. Also, it's an old structure so weird "old building sounds" are common.

I have loved living here from the moment I moved in! The Preserve staff provides lots of social events for the residents, and they respond quickly to maintenance issues/requests. The staff and residents are friendly, it's quiet, and the facilities are clean and well cared for.

I've lived here for a week. The move in process was great, the staff is great, the location is great. My next-door neighbor, on the other hand, is not so great. He blasts the volume on his TV and had a get together on Saturday in which he and his mates made quite a ruckus. Plus, I live on the Found side which is a really old building so like a lot of old buildings it makes weird noises. Overall I like the place, but for the price I'm paying I should have rented a house. I will likely not renew after my lease expires.

I LOVE THE PRESERVE! Leasing office is flipping amazing and the maintenance/service guys are awesome. The apartment is really nice especially the amenities of the rooftop and pool table. Scott's Addition is a great neighborhood too. Couldn't have imagined living anywhere else. Context: Moved to Richmond for a first job out of college. I've lived in a 2 bedroom unit and a 1 bedroom unit on the 4th floor of the newer second building (address 1308). The first building (address 1310) used to be a Coca Cola bottling factory and has the more industrial/lofty-type units. I recently moved out to a new city for a new job. Pros: + Krystina, Molly, and Christina are super responsive and personable. They honestly have your best interests in mind. Also shout out to Kaitlyn. + Haven't had any maintenance issues except once when the garbage disposal stopped responding, but that was fixed within 30 minutes of submitting a service request. + Stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. Good cabinet space as well. + In unit washer and dryer! + Smart AC/heat control. + Very quiet. Can't hear other units. + Carpet is so nice and I miss it. + Right next to the highway, so easy for commuting. + Safe complex with a fob you need to get inside the buildings. + Close to Stella's. + Pets allowed! + Trash valet is pretty nice. Just leave your trashcan and recyclables outside your door on certain days. + Scott's Addition is full of breweries and good food. + The windows are fantastic. Massive. + Amenities are great: pool table, large gas grills, and great rooftop especially. + Frequent community events with free drinks and food. Cons: - Expensive if you're living solo. Recommend a roommate. - Parking is tight. Recommend getting a private spot, so parking is guaranteed. Scott's has street parking, but it's getting more and more popular, so dunno how it's gonna be. - Units close to the highway may have a little noise, but it's generally white noise. Friend who lived closer to the highway side didn't mind. - Noticed some noise from the AC starting up sometimes in the unit I was in closer to the corner of building 2 (1308). I think it was the AC for the hall. Not sure, but stopped noticing the noise after a week. - Can only get your packages from the leasing office until they close at 6pm. Though if you message them, they will move it outside the office but still inside the building for you to pick up after they close! - Prior to signing my lease online while I was out of state, the leasing office never picked up my calls or responded to my emails. But since I moved in, they have been super attentive and helpful. Overall, living at the Preserve was a great experience. Thanks for making my time in Richmond the best. I miss you guys. It was extremely difficult to find an apartment in the new city that lived up to the same standards.

So far, our experience at The Preserve has been very pleasant. The apartment is large and spacious, with lots of natural light in the living room. The sound proofing is a bit lacking, but nothing we aren't used to from other apt experiences.

The leasing team was incredibly helpful and friendly when we were looking around and answered our many (many!) questions. We did have some items in our apartment that seem to have been overlooked when they were preparing it for us to move in but they were resolved literally hours after we got around to submitting work orders for each item. They may have been rushed with a lot of move outs that week and didn't get a chance to walk the apartment after repainting etc., but overall our move in experience was very positive. I will note that parking is very tight if you don't have a reserved spot.

We love living at The Preserve! Our apartment is historic and very unique, with a loft-style design that works perfectly for my home office. Maintenance requests are always answered within 24 hours (usually much sooner than that). The gym is very nice for an apartment building. The office managers are very helpful and attentive to our requests. The location is perfect for our social lifestyle.

Nice community but needs green space for animals and needs to have some kind of dog and animal area for the tenants. I am not a dog owner but I feel for the dogs who will get burned feet because the pavement is so hot

The Preserve is a wonderful animal-friendly complex with brand new amenities and a great location. The staff is very helpful and friendly, going as far as bringing packages to your apartment, hosting fun events for the apartment complex, and sending out useful reminders of street pavings, nearby events, and anything else going on.

The Preserve is great apartment complex. The staff are fantastic! They have always gone the extra mile since day one! I have never had an issue with maintenance. The parking pass is definitely worth the money. The location is very convenient to restaurants, breweries and highways. The only thing I would even slightly say could improve is that you can hear your upstair neighbors (if you have them). Community is great and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Preserve.

My boyfriend and I have enjoyed this community but do not appreciate the confusion that the office staff sometimes causes. We were guaranteed a $500 sign on credit card VISA that was never delivered to us. We have had other experiences with the office staff that have been less than pleasurable.

So far so good, but it's only been about three weeks. The complex is beautiful and nicely maintained. On-site staff is kind and professional, all the way from the office staff to maintenance workers. Nice quiet community, but parking can be troublesome.
