If you're looking for a place that has walkabilty, then this is the place. The grocery store, restaurants and outdoor parks are all close. Since moving here I drive a lot less than before. The Scout is one of the better places I have rented at.

The Scout is a quiet community with relatively reasonable pricing. The leasing team (HUGE shoutout to Brandon, who's been the only consistent person to be working at Scout for the entirety of our residency) is fun and plans amazing events for us to enjoy. We met our best friends here!

interior of apt is very nice; grounds, parking area and outside of bldg need more attention. Dog poop is a problem and will soon get worse when new apt bldgs open directly north of The Scout; pets are allowed there but there is no green space visible.

I love it here! The space is so clean and inviting, the amenities are well kept, and the staff is easy to communicate with and lovely! It feels like such a vibrant community, even though it is a large apartment complex.

The building wasn't kept up super well.. the hallways were dingy and amenities lacking considering the $1700+ price tag on the one bedroom unit. The leasing associate also took my ID from me at the beginning of the tour and left it on the table in the lobby with no explanation, even after raised concerns. The unit we toured was just moved out of, and the leasing associate told us to "ignore the issues" rather than explain prior to the tour that someone had just been living there. overall off putting experience

This community is very inviting with lots of activities, great location in richmond's scott's addition, and spacious living. Maintenance is very responsive and helpful. The price is super reasonable as well.

Overall I think the apartment community is good. I'm glad I chose this place when moving to the area. The rent amount for my current lease seems fair for the area. I do wish the maintenance staff was provided with better materials to handle repairs.

I wish I had gotten more of a heads up all the events that would happen at River City Roll/Bon Secours training center. I don't know if I would've moved in here had I known how loud it would constantly be, especially in the summers.

It is a great place to live. The only downside is that there can be some poor sound insullation up and down the floors. Its not too bad side to side though. All else in the community is very good. Love it.

Been here since 2020, everything has been fine for the most part but maintenance always does a half assed job. They've come twice to fix the same issue and it's still not fixed, they also left a mess the first time. People don't clean up after their dogs. Staff is always super nice, however they only ever threaten consequences when rules are broken, instead of enforcing them. They've mass emailed hundreds of times for owners to clean up after their dogs, yet if they actually enforced their threat, you'd think people would listen by now?

Maintenance and the staff is great. The community has gone slightly downhill since moving in, while also going up in price. Rooftop is closed and noise is frequent, even on work nights. If you enjoy a lively place this is for you.

It is very nice and the staff are very nice. They make sure everything is fixed in a timely manner and make sure it is done properly so they do not have to come back twice, and the resident isn't worrying about the issue for any longer.

The staff is great and helpful and community stays clean, the only gripe I really have is the amount of dogs that are off leash on property and owners not being held accountable. Even if people say something to them, they don't think rules apply to them.

Imani was such an amazing and knowledgeable consultant. She is the Assistant Manager there but knew her tour path and knew how to help me identify my needs for an apartment. When I expressed any concerns or objections, she was able to explain what else she could provide to make us feel valued and wanted. Amazing job SteelHead for having such wonderful staff. The Property Manager was very welcoming as well. I will refer anyone I know to this community.

It's a nice building and I like the amenities, the parking is a hassle for guests because they often have to park on the street and walk up and the elevators are broken frequently. However overall it is a good place and I have enjoyed living here

The building and community is not kept up with and not taken care of. The maintence staff does their best but the way the building is ran is not effective. The people who live here don't care to take care of the community. The elevator is broken. There has been a lot of bike left and door handle left. An apartment is supposed to be convenient and this one is the opposite.

The apartment amenities are constantly broken. Building doors don't lock. People constantly rip the door handles off the main doors. A homeless person was found in the lobby during this time. Elevators break monthly. There is no help button in the elevator (hasn't been there for 5+ months despite informing staff this is against code). Back yard is filled with dog poop. Staff says they understand frustrations but do nothing. Don't recommend living here. You could find something better.
