No is not even the word for it, please read
I know people say different things but i am currently a resident at seravella. it is true that the noise never stops and since the windows face eachother you hear the loud people 24/7. There are constant problems such as the sink and bath water rising, the water doesnt always work, the plugs dont work at all. I have fought with this place daily and they say that we have to call teh security WHO NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE AND IGNORE MESSAGE COMPLAINTS. The rent is too high for this place. There are drug sales adn gun shots inteh building. VIolence and domestic violance occure often. I am constantly tired and unable to sleep therefore have had problems at work. I have had residents stalking me and there are homeless people sleeping inteh stairwell and no one cares. Just trust me, if you can live somewhere else, please do. Save yourself the trouble of torture.
Overpriced ------!!!!
Loud noise, dog piss and dog crap all over the place, a nasty attitude insufficient management staff that changes personnel every 8 to 12 months. Nothing here is good. If you haven't moved here yet, stay the heck away!!!! If you live here under lease now, fight to make it better or get the hell out!!!

Residents blast music at all hours of the night with their windows open, so it echoes through the courtyard (which is laced with pet feces and pee).

The management staff lets too many people move in with dogs. The apartments are too little for people to have huge dogs, but management doesn't care. They even let people have 2 and sometimes 3 dogs in one apartment. It's wrong!!! The dogs pee in the elevators. Many residents who live here don't pick up their pets feces (inside or outside the building). It's so bad I am embaressed to bring company home.

My friend told me about this web site....
I'v lived here for over 8 months and since the new manager arrived there has been several changes. I would recommand that you check out the apartments for your self. Every time I contact the office the staff is most helpful and really look like they enjoy working here.

Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable staff. Building and grounds looked after.
I recently visited Serravella Apts. to take a look at the apts. they have available. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. The building was in a central location to my work. The maintenance crew appeared to be addressing all the rain related circumstances. I found the price to comparable to the size of the apartments. The grounds appeared to be well maintained and clean. The parking garage allowed for off street parking and the security gates were in working order.

Don't believe everything you read!
I've lived here since the beginning of 2004 and am just about to renew my lease. I love living here. The place is clean and I feel really safe and I even seen changes happening within the last few month. Whenever I have a problem with my apartment someone is always there to fix it within a couple of days. When I am home during the day, I always see someone cleaning something or working on the building. I had a problem last week with one of my neighbors music and I called security and it was turned down within 15 minutes. Everytime I've gone down to the office everyone has always been really accomodating and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Don't listen to those angry people
I've lived here for over a year and I have not had the problems that all those other people are having. Honestly some of the stuff I've read is crazy. The new manager is great, he took care of the problems I had with my neighbor without having to complain more than once. The gals in the office are sweet and really make a difference when I think of a rental office. The building is really starting to look better. The just put in new flowers and did some nice stuff to the entrance that even my friends, who are really picky, said they thought it looked great. Thank you to all who are helping to prove those nasty rumors about how bad things are here. It's a great place to live and I love it. My apt. is nice and I've even had a close friend move in, and they paid me money for referring her to live here...in this day and age I need every dollar, they definately have my vote. I'll send people till I become rich and then some.

Serravella Sucks!
Where do I begin? So we have criminals trying to out run the police at 100mph and ending up in our parking garage. Maybe they know somebody here? Because the overall population of Serravella seems to be thugs, drugs, parties and sleepless nights...Sleepless in Serravella. The story about the dead body, heard it was true. Don't know how long it sat there, but the office did confirm someone died here. Also, the gun incident was true. If you want to live here, buy a bullet proof vest and take some gun shooting lessons. A lot of people here with dogs have no respect as to where they let them do their business. I've seen people letting their dogs take a crap in the flower beds in the courtyard. There must be some bad feng shui here because I've never heard so many people fighting..I was woken up at 4:00am just last night with someone screaming at the top of their lungs. Will it ever end? I've only been here 4 months and I may not make it out of here alive. Trust me, you don't want to live here. Anybody know a priest I could call to do an exorcism?
Oh yea, I pay $1280 for a studio. Can you say..Rip Off?

No! Run!
I unfortunately live here now and I am out of here once my lease expires in eight long months. My biggest problem is with the people living here. They are trash! I seriously might as well be living Compton! There is always some sort of crime going on here such as drug raids or violence. The cops are always here. Someone even died here in November and apparently had been dead for quite some time because one of the third floor wing reeked for about a week and they had to air it out as best they could with fans and spray freshner. It was so rancid! With all the crime here I believe it was a homicide. There is also this real "winner" living here who thinks it's ok to be in the courtyard or even in the work out room and have violent fits of anger on the telephone with people. If he is in his apartment during these sparatic but often rages he will start throwing his furniture into the coutyard and then start kicking it around while screaming at the top of his lungs. This guy even likes to sexually harass women. The office people know exactly who this guy is and the do nothing about it because he is still here. He seriously scares me. I am so uncomfortable living in the same vacinity as this unstable bi polar guy. The office people are terrible and frankly dont give a darn about anything that happens here, they just want their measly paychecks. The maintenance sucks. Someone tagged all over some doors on the same floor that they have thier model show apartment and they actually painted it but they used only one coat of white paint and you can still see that it was tagged on and im just so amazed that they leave it like that. On the other side of the door is some blood that has been there for like a month and I'm so grossed out every time I have to walk through it. I'm seriously laughing right now because I'm thinking if I were reading this I would think this person is crazy. Well the only thing I'm crazy for is living here. The people here are so loud with thier music blaring and their bass beating so loud that it rattles the walls. This place is so overpriced. The apartments are tiny. I pay about $1500 for a 500 s.f. one bedroom. Absolutely outrageous! Please don't move here. You will regret it. If you live a ------ lifestyle then this place is for you, if not stear clear of this place. I only moved here because the first 2 months are free and it is only a $99.00 movie in deposit. And the biggest reason is that they allow large dogs. I am from out of state and had no idea what I was getting into. I hate it here!

Take my word for it!!
All the negative things you hear and read about this place are true. I have been here 8 months and I am counting the days til my lease is up. Management sucks and everything is broken in this joint.(elevators, Gates, Gym equipment, side doors to parking etc..) Plus the place stinks to high hell. Tenants let dogs ---- and piss in elevators and on walkways. Security is extremely poor and rude. I would definetly do everything in my power to save another poor soul from signing a lease with Fairfield.

Serravella is a dog house
I moved here in October of 2003. Thank god Im moving out in 2 weeks! I have delt with dog piss and crap everywhere especially around the elevators and in front of the building..This apartments inside the courtyard don't get any sunlight so all my plants died. Since the day I moved in I've hearing dogs barking constantly during the day and sometimes even at 3 in the moring. And just like everyone said the elevators and garage doors never work or are left open for days at a time

Do Believe the hype--it's TRUE
From DEA Drug Raids (3), to people jumping off their balconies to get away from their boyfriend beating them, to dog urine and feces all over the property including inside the elevators, a fitness center where 50% of the equipment is broken for months, and a nothing "we can do about it" attitude from the management team. I've lived here awhile and these are just a few of the issues I've had with this so-called high rent luxury building mascarading as a ------. The "free rent" is quite a hook, but do yourself a favor and skip this one. Unless of course you want to pay skyhigh prices to live in a place that smells so bad you have to hold your nose just to get your mail, constantly have to avoid piles and or puddles of dog stuff, loud and inconsiderate neighbors, drug raids, barking dogs, dirty laundry rooms, and a management team who I quote "rely on our tenants to be our eyes and ears for problems with the building".

Over-Exaggerated
The truth of the matter is, if the other people that lived here picked up after themselves, there would not be a problem. But since they don't care and have no respect for the community, they just feel they can do whatever they please. More time should be taken by the other people that live here to follow the rules and clean up after themselves. We are all adults after all, and not kids that need to be followed around and picked up after. It may take a day or so for them to fix my maintenance request, but they do a decent job and with a smile. I have never had a problem with the girls in the office and they all seem real nice, so don't believe all the hype.

Maybe a smaller property would care
Costs way too much for the amount of service. Thought that a leasing company would offer more service. My AC went unrepaired in summer months for over a month with consistent complaints. I was woken every morning to the sounds of dog barks echoing through the apartment corridors. This place is a nightmare and I curse the day I fell for the lure of "1 month free rent".

This Building is a JOKE
4 managers in a year. Dog crap and pee everywhere. Brand new hall carpet destroyed in a few months. Ineffective guards. Drug dealers. Noise at all hours. Abusive managers that do NOTHING. Broken air conditioning, plumbing. Over-priced. Broken security doors and gates. Fighting tenants. SWAT teams and helicopters... It goes on - really! There are better buildings for less money - don't move here!

Expensive pet toilet!
Overpriced, horribly managed. Trina hung up on me when I called to complain about the many issues. The elevators rarely work, stink and usually have puddles of animal urine, which is tracked into the carpeted hallways. Also, puddles of urine through-out the property. Tenants let their pets defecate on the balconies, then wash the slop out into the pool area. The Jacuzzi's have NEVER worked properly in the year that we've been there. Security doesn't come when you page them. I've had continuous problems with management allowing others to use my "assigned" parking space (I've complained three times and it's still a problem). The building is not secure, as they always leave the security gate open. I've had clothes stolen from the laundry room. What am I getting for my $1400 per month (for a 540 sq. ft apartment)?
I still haven't received the initial deposit check after 3 months and to top it off, they deducted $600 for "cleaning fees".

So far, not good!
Okay, I've lived here just over a month and my fiance & I already want out! Inside my apartment it's very nice despite very little storage. However, once I step outside my door, I hate it. There is piss & LARGE dog feces in & around the elevators(especially the 4th floor of the 1720 building) on a daily basis. The urine gets tracked down the carpeted hallways & wreaks for days. The courtyard & front of the building smell like urine all the time & management does not care. There are numerous lawsuits against Fairfield Properties which owns the building. I am told the rates go up drastically at the end of your lease. I definitely plan to be out of here in 1 year's time!

Not as bad as everyone says
Sure, there are things that don´t work, and the staff is pretty slow to respond, it´s not the worst place in the world and the location is great.

Not well managed, & way over-priced
Since we´ve moved in on July 7th, the management has changed more times that I can count. The building may be pretty, but don´t allow them to persuade you with their lies. The security is non-existent. They´re never around when you need them. They even have a fake beeper # for security that management gives to you when you move in. The so-called security cameras don´t record, so if something did happen, and it does all the time, you can´t go back to review the tape to find out what happened. There are two laundrymats on the property, all equipped with machines that never work. You could dry your clothes 3 times, and they´d never get dry, but you´d go broke. And to boot, your laundry gets stolen. The vending machines constantly eat your money, and the property gives no refunds. One of the two elevators is always out of service. The ´assigned´ parking spaces that you pay for are a joke becuase they always leave the security gate to the parking garage open, so that anybody is free to just park in your spot. The maintenance staff takes their sweet time to come and fix a problem. The plumbing is awful, and always gets backed up. The walls are so thin that you can hear every word of conversation from your neighbors. People are constantly throwing loud, all night parties. Almost all of the machines in the gym are broken, and have been since we moved in. There´s always dog pee puddles throughout the property for you to step in, especially in the elevators. This apartment complex is not worth my money or anybody elses. I would warn anyone to stay away from this building.

Avoid this building
I moved in Jan 2003, in the last year there have been 4 management changes, countless police raids, broken garage doors, thefts, poor maintenance, broken promises. They claim to be pet friendly - yet don´t honor their own rules with dogs off leash etc. They will allow anyone in, then say you don´t meet breed restrictions just to meet their sales quotas. The movein deal is enticing, but the monthly rent is too high, and you have to pay trash on top of it which varies up to 50 a month when they remodel an apartment and you pay a share of the demolition... Stay away from this building

It's just average...
Well, I have to agree with most of the reviews of this property. I've lived here for a little over a year, and the management is quite poor: (i) constant dog barking and feces/urine, (ii) broken elevators (I know of two residents who were trapped for 45 minutes or so), (iii) false advertising when it comes to security (the garage gates are open at least two times a week; they have eliminated the on-site security guard in favor of a security paging system which rarely works), (iv) incessant noise from inconsiderate and sometimes violent neighbors, (v) a gym which can't be called that (maybe 50% of the limited equipment works at any given time), and more that I won't bore you with. Ultimately, it's overpriced for the money you spend. The only nice part about it is the relatively clean and newer apartments and appliances.

Not worth the $$$$.
Too few square feet for the price. They allow pets of any size and it´s obvious. There is always feces and urine in the walkways from irresponsible pet owners. Also, these same pet owners allow their pets to defecate and urinate on the balconies and then they wash it onto the pool deck and into the pool. Does the health department know about this? Not managed well at all and not worth the money for the amenities offered.

Decent, but Managment has Scorched Earth Policy
The building and grounds are maintained, but the only reason to live here would be if you plan on moving in a year.

The management has a strict policy of raising the rent every year in a manner that forces a high turnover rate.

We are leaving as soon as we can.
