Very cozy apartments and super dog friendly. It was harder finding an apartment that would accept 2 larger dogs, but The Lodge at Black Forest accepted us quickly! The maintenance crew is wonderful as well. They are super quick to help out and love my dogs as well!

I've enjoyed my time here so far, I have everything I need and feel safe to go on walks and runs around the property. There is always a parking spot available outside my apartment and I'm a half an hour drive from work and everything else I may need. The black forest park and ride is right next to the complex as well.

The vertex is the best apartment complex by far. It's spacious and homey. This community is good. The staff is good except cleaning staff is bad. Dogs barking and Construction is loud and somewhat a distraction but not too bad.

I have been in this apartment a couple months now and have no complaints. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My daughter and I loved the pool and just being able to walk around the complex at night and feel safe.

I have been a resident here since January and I love it so much! My apartment was practically brand new when I moved in, and I know there was previous tenants so I was extremely impressed at how clean it was and everything was in such pristine condition, even all the appliances. They maintain all the areas so well and the amenities are awesome. I spent so much time at the pool and the workout room is great too. The office staff are always friendly and helpful, especially Q! I will definitely renew my lease next April.

Love living here! It's so quiet and the office staff is always helpful! It has a wonderful trail around the apartments which is great to walk my dog. They also have a really nice pet agility park that my pup loves!

Do not live at Lodge at Black Forest UNLESS you want snow inside of your sliding door and windows when it snows (maintenance is not able to fix cheap quality windows since the lowest contract bidder wins) , are willing to communicate with unreasonable upper management and are prepared to watch them peel back all the carpet at move in and move out to see underside of carpet otherwise you will be charged for any stain that goes through carpet.

Best place I have lived in! It feels so much like home, the apartments are beautiful and very spacious. Beautiful views, the hot tub and heated pool with a mini WATERFALL are the Cherry on top!! The staff is always on it and they are super sweet, they even throw parties! Thank you for being amazing!!

This is one of the nicer apartments we've lived in. The main reason we came is because of the gorgeous pool! It seems to have troubles keeping heated in the summertime. The apartments themselves are also very nice. They feel spacious and are well lit with the windows. We are located by stores, food and everything you need. The staff is responsive and pretty much on top of it. Of course there are little problems that I could pick at, but it's apartment living! I did see a review on over-charges at move in. That did happen to us (3ish years ago), but I really think it was a step the person helping us forgot. I do not think there are hidden fees. She is gone now, and was not here very long anyways. The lodge has so many community nights too. I really do like it here and at the end of the day feel comfortable calling it home. We are moving, but only because it's time for a house.

I knew that I wanted to live at this property. When my family and I were certain of our move this was the only property we toured and even considered. I knew exactly what I was looking for so it made the search very easy. When we arrived at the property we were greeted by Jenna and she was very professional. However, as we spent some time with her, I realized very quickly that she really didn't have any experience or knowledge in what she was telling me. Our initial experience was absolutely amazing. Everyone was super accommodating and wonderful As matter of fact, they went above and beyond to assist me with all our paperwork. However, the experience very quickly changed and the communication with the office staff was awful. There was nothing but miscommunication. I was embarrassed and humiliated by the staff, threatened to send us to the attorney's office within 5 days of moving in by Brittany the Asst. Mgr and from then on, I haven't stepped foot into the office. I have a teenager that is a straight A student, allowed to use the gym unsupervised, allowed to use the pool unsupervised, but not allowed to bring a friend into the clubhouse for hot chocolate without a parent. Our experience started out amazing, but since I have completely stayed clear of the office staff. I love my apartment and it was the only one I wanted to even consider. Definitely consider living at The Lodge at Black Forest but the staff can definitely be unprofessional especially Brittany.

MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING! Do not take the word of the leasing agents who apparently are uninformed. I was told several things that were not true! Was charged a great deal of money upon moving out and upper management questioned me like I was a liar. Up until this point I thought RAM was a good property management company but I have changed my mind.

My daughters and I love coming home! It's a great feeling knowing my girls are safe to walk our dog on the trail and play in the dog agility park without me having to be with them. They can enjoy the playground alone too. It's such a safe community with friendly staff and residents. It butts up to a nice neighborhood close to Black Forest with some open space surrounding us. This makes it feel secluded from city life allowing us to enjoy peace and quiet. You can't beat the amenities here either! A year round heated salt water pool, huge grilling area, tanning salon, and more! I'm happy to be a resident!

The Lodge at Black Forest has been my home for a year and a half. I renewed without thinking twice about it. I move around frequently with my job and have had to move all over the country. I have lived in 6 different communities in almost as many years. The Lodge at Black Forest is hands down the best. One of the first things that stands out to me is the amenities that the community offers. We have a nicely sized dog park, fire pit, putting green, hot tub and heated pool, outdoor BBQ area, clubhouse with kitchen for parties, large gym with kids room, tanning salon, business center with wi-fi, computers and a printer for all to use, and a car wash. I use the gym 5 days a week and one of the big wins other than being 24 hours is that they provide clean towels to use. There are other services that this facility offers that many other communities do not offer as well. We have Garbage Valet which is particularly nice when it gets cold. There is a mail room in the clubhouse to accept packages rather then just leaving them at your front door if you prefer. We have an on-site coffee and tea machine which is free for residents, just bring a cup. The pool area has covered places to set and there are two adjoining restrooms that are very nice. Those bathrooms even have complimentary mouth wash. There is a hiking trail that wraps around the northern part of the community and you can rent mountain bikes from the clubhouse too. Facilities has responded within 24 hours whenever I have needed anything and they are always tidy and clean. The employees at the club house know me by name and always follow up with their commitments with me. They are all super personable. It does get a bit windy here at times but the community is on top of a hill and the views are always the best. You can get to anywhere in Colorado Springs in less than 30 minutes from here. The community is super quiet and I have found everyone to be friendly. Packages have been left outside my door for days and not bothered by anyone, you will feel safe and secure here. The locks on the doors are electronic and add a little extra sense of safety as well as class. Parking is limited at night with so many households having multiple cars but there are garages available. I use a garage near my apartment and with the snow and hail it is a must in my opinion. The community also works hard to keep itself clean, all dogs are DNA cataloged and should their owner not pick up the mess after walking their puppies a fine can be issued based on DNA testing. The area around the community has been building up with homes and a school to the north as well as a new expansion to the hospital and retail shops to the south. Finally, the inside of the apartments are great. I am on the middle floor so I do not have a fireplace like some of the 3rd floor models. I work from home, most of the time, and need to feel comfortable. I just have a 1 bed/ 1 bath apartment and it is more than enough for me. A couple wouldn't have any issues either. The kitchen comes with great dark faux-wood flooring and dark cabinets. The refrigerator has two, side by side, doors (one for the freezer and one for the main storage area). There are plenty of outlets for those who have appliances and plenty of counter space. The pantry is well sized and I personally keep my trash can on the floor of the pantry to keep it out of the way. The community will supply you with the valet trash cans as well. At the end of my kitchen there is a built in desk which has enough room for multiple monitors and my laptop. The full size washer and dryer in a separate room is fantastic and I find it to be everything I need and want. I love it here and have recommended it to everyone. #BestPlaceToLive

We moved here from California last year and doesn't know anything about Colorado. We looked this apartment and called there staff and they helped us lease over the phone and when we arrived we signed papers and everything was ready and beautiful for us to move in. The staff and facilities are wonderful.

I have lived in this complex since their opening which is a total of 26 months. I have absolutely no complaints about the Lodge at Black Forest. They have made my transition from my divorce as smooth as possible. They have accommodated me with no hesitations. It is a beautiful complex with an abundance of amenities. As a single woman in my mid-forties I appreciate the level of security. Maintenance is amazing!! No request has gone unnoticed and has been promptly taken care of. The lodge is on top of their game with tenants following guidelines. Complaints are dealt with immediately. This complex is extremely pet friendly and clean!! They strive and make great efforts for tenant connections with monthly events hosted in the Clubhouse. It is a Top Quality complex and I could not have chosen better! .... which is why I just signed my third year lease.

I worked with Whitney Smith and she was very helpful in finding me a great apartment. Even though she was pregnant and it was the very end of the day, she walked me all over showing me the apartments and grounds. She responded promptly to my emails, was clear and concise on how to handle all the paper work and when I came in for information she had folders and contracts all ready and was great at explaining all the details for me. We just absolutely love this place. This is by far one of the best places to live. The management is fantastic. The sweet manager Sonja is a true gem, very accommodating and eager to help with whatever you need. Today, Marita and Chuck invited us to a pool party at the clubhouse. Live DJ, pizza, beverages and lots and lots of prices.

Love it here! There were some setbacks with my apartment due to construction but thats just construction. Love the staff! Maintenance is helpful and fast and work hard.
