I absolutely loved this place! When I toured the office staff was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager Sonya I believe was her name and she's a gem, she made me feel like I was part of the family already. The grounds were impeccable, one of the neatest I've seen in a long time, they even had a guy out sweeping during the time I was touring, he greeted me with a smile when I passed by. I'm moving from Michigan just for a change of scenery and quite honestly this is best view I've seen! If maintenance is anything like what I've already experienced here this is where I would recommend any of my friends who might consider moving to Colorado!

I have lived at Lodge at Black Forest since September of 2016. I have enjoyed the experience very much. The amenities are great. I especially enjoy that the pool and hot tub are open year around, that way if you have nice days in the fall and spring you are able to go swim. I also enjoy the car wash they have on property, it is convenient and affordable. Even though the complex is located off of Woodmen road you cannot hear the traffic. It is great because you still live close to everything in town, but you get a peaceful environment as well! The office staff is very nice. They always acknowledge me when I have questions or when I am just walking around the property or using the amenities. The maintenance staff is great. They are friendly and are willing to help and figure out any problems a resident has. One small issue that maintenance worked out for me is when I washed my bathroom rugs and the drain of my washing machine got clogged. I was not sure what was going on, so I put in a work order and they got it fixed the same day! I appreciate the effectiveness the maintenance staff has provided, even with the small problem like mine they still made it a priority to get it fixed. I would highly recommend Lodge at Black Forest, I has exceeded my expectations of an apartment complex!

This is the worst apartment in which I have ever lived. The building material is very poor!!!!! I live on the first floor and I can hear when my neighbor flushes their toilet, walk around like they're tilling the ground or do anything!! It is the absolute worst! I regret ever moving in here as I've never had this sort of experience before. When you even try and report, nothing is being done- they simply tell you (especially someone named Sonia or something) to suck it up. I thought this would be a peaceful place but it's not! It's a nightmare!

my experience here has been terrible. I don't even know where to begin. And I feel like ever since they made the changes with the old staff this place has gotten so much worse. My apartment has crooked walls, my whole bathroom counter is absolutely crooked. Maintenance here is the worst I have ever come across. My shower constantly leaked and they came out several times to fix. I gave permission to enter my home once and they came out and could not fix it. Which I had no idea, since they left no note or gave me any updated information. Well they called a company to come fix, several days later they showed up and did not give me any kind of warning. I had someone walking in on me while I was sitting on my couch without any pants. This happened twice. As a woman I find this extremely uncomfortable and concerning. The staff is absolutely no help, and not any better. One time I had placed a work order with Aubrey when I had no hot water. 3 days later no one had come out. When I finally called she told me she had forgotten to let maintenance know. We also constantly, just constantly, get short notice to enter our apartment from the office. They are comepletley unapologetic, and give LESS than 24 hr notice. Which is illegal. It feels like it's never ending problems, even with the constrtuctuon. Even though they've finished last year. The quality of this place has really gone down. I'm paying high dollar and this is not worth it. Trust me there is so much more, but the no hot water was my last straw. Please think twice before moving here. All the positive reviews are from the office offering gift cards for positive reviews. I can't wait to move. They have nicer places like The Elements of. Briargate Apartments that are brand new and that offer so much more for the same price here.

We moved in to the lodge towards the end of construction. The prospect of being the FIRST occupants in a luxury apartment was too good to pass up. Our first couple months were not bad as our building was still mostly vacant. Obviously somethings needed to be finished after construction and hiccups were to be expected, we didnt and still dont hear our neighbors except when they are hammering a nail for a picture or when their kid decides its jump around time, but overall everything seemed great... tl;dr - go rent a house for the same price- way better value for your money, this place isn't worth its price of admission. Now 1 year in ... You can see how cheap of materials they used in building. - Concrete is separating from the foundations -The windstorms in February literally ripped shingles and siding off the buildings, - the same windstorms damaged the structural integrity of some balconies, causing impromptu maintenance inspections - see below -The landscaping was poorly designed and floods anytime there is a storm. -The security patrol that was hired has either been dismissed or is currently using a spell of invisibility, and we were not informed they were no longer available. - Our recycling service has been canceled because people were contaminating the recycling container -You have less than 24 hours notice when maintenance needs to come in and fix something, so hopefully you remember to lock your dogs up during the 10 hour window they may "stop by" - The office staff has completely turned over except for the main office manager in less than a year (3 people quit, 2 of which opened the property) - The neighbors may be nice but are completely disrespectful of community rules, such as no pool after 10pm and pick up after your dog - Parking - if you want a spot near your building, good luck, people leave their cars in those spots for days. BUT the community lot (normally 100 to 300 feet from your door, depending) is a good bet, so if you need to unload groceries or a large purchase, expect to be parked in a fire lane or blocking a garage... - People block your garage weekly and the office does NOTHING - the same neighbor has blocked my car in over 8 times, I have spoken to the neighbor to no avail as its her kid thats doing it, I have reported it EVERY TIME with photos to the office, they just don't care. Overall the apartment is nice, but the community is allowed to do whatever they please and the overall construction has left things to be desired. I have repeated this to my friends and I will say it here, "I pay too much for this apartment for me to feel like I live in college dorms"

If you move here be prepared for last minute notices of unapologetic letters demanding access for going into your apartment to inspect something, that you need to lock up your pets, and demand you be prepared anytime within their convenient 8 hour work day because they don't care about yours

Lodge at Black Forest is a very isolated community (which I really enjoy). Every here is very kind. I had a neighbor help me move in and I live on the third floor. The amenities are the best in the city (trust me I researched a ton). The pool is refreshing and the grill area is a great touch. They have everything from a tanning bed to a horse shoe pit and a car wash. The apartments are beautiful. I love the bright colors and wonderful landscaping. Our floor plan is the fusion and it is so comfortable and roomy. The master bedroom is spacious and the walk in closet is great. Comcast is pre-setup in each building so installation was easy. The water heater is inside which makes the gas bill almost nonexistent. Plus you can control the temperature you want. I have a fish tank in my room and it was an easy, painless approval process. The wood floors are a great touch (and they don't get cold). The walls are also very thick between apartments, it feels like I don't even have neighbors. The vaulted ceilings are my absolute favorite part. The kitchen and living room making cooking social because it's so open. There are plenty of dogs (most of them are pretty quiet) and they have a security guard at night to answer to noise complaints and suspicious activity. So far I don't have a single complaint and it's been three months. Lastly, their garages are spectacular. I can use it as storage and fit my car in it very easily. We were the first ones to move into our apartment and it's been a dream since.

Lodge at Black Forest is a Great place to live. We have a great walking area all the way around the complex. It is very dog friendly .... I think everyone here has a dog and there are doggy stations set up everywhere around the property for convenient disposal :-) neighbors are friendly. There is a GREAT view from the hill at night of the city! They also have security just in case there is any kind of problem which is comforting as a single girl. There is also a dog wash room on site :)

Have lived here for over a month now with my wife and we love it. Move-in was a breeze and the apartment is beautiful. All of the office staff are great. We use the pool and gym often. Inside the apartment is very quiet and we have not had any issues with neighbors. Overall we have no complaints. We live on the 3rd floor and definitely recommend it with the vaulted ceilings and great views!

We just moved in couple of months ago and the process of moving in was smooth, Michelle is really nice & helpful since the beginning. We had some minor problems and it was quickly resolved. The layout of the apartment is really nice & spacious. We got the third floor so we got vaulted ceilings which is really cool. The amenities are also a plus! Overall we are really enjoying living in this apartment!

The complex is still under construction. It is beautiful, the amenities are amazing. The problem is the staff. We applied at this complex JUNE 13th. We were denied due to an old eviction. I don't have a problem with that. I understand policies etc. What I DO have a problem with is that today is JULY 7TH and they still have not released the $99 hold deposit that we gave them along with the application fees. I have been calling and calling and calling and these clowns do not know what is going on. The person I worked with is named Coy and that seems to be an appropriate adjective for this company as well as his name. I originally asked if it would be possible to pick up the check in person as I would need that money for my upcoming move. They were aware that my deadline to move was June 21st and said that it would be no problem to refund my hold fee by then. I have called and called and called with a distinct lack of call backs. I've left polite messages both with people and on the machine. Not once have they returned my calls. I have relocated out of state at this point and they still will not return my calls. I have spoken with them several times and continue to be told that they do not know where my check is. If they are this difficult to work with, I'm actually quite glad we didn't move into the complex. Please, be aware that they literally don't give a rat's --- and are as unhelpful as possible. Renter beware.

We moved to the Lodge at Black Forest about 5 months ago from LA. We had the most amazing leasing agent, Michelle Marquez, help us with our move-in. She was knowledgeable about the apartments and answered all our questions promptly and professionally. We love living here. Our apartment was brand new when we moved in. We have not experienced any problems with our apartment since living here. We have a great mountain and city view. The grounds are well-maintained and I can't say enough about all of the amenities these apartments offer! We are extremely happy living here and would definitely recommend Lodge at Black Forest!! ????

If you choose to move here, (and after reading this why on earth would you), wait until construction is complete. Large trucks start work between 6:30 and 7am six to seven days a week! It's the freaking living pitts to not be able to sleep in on the weekends. And if that wont disturb your peace, several tenants have loud mufflers on their cars which sound like atomic bombs exploding every, single time they start these vehicles (starting early morning and thru out the day). The floor joists between the floors are very poorly constructed so unless you live on the top floor, the tenant above you sounds like they are coming through the floor with every step. If you place a high value on peace and quiet, look elsewhere. Oh yeah, some of us found out the new A/C's didn't work the first time we tried to use them this month (June 2016) so please make sure both the heat and AC work before you move in. And When the AC was repaired, debris was left all over the bathroom floor that fell from the access panel in the bath ceiling. Very sloppy work. Balconies are so close you can pass a plate of food to your neighbor. It is clearly evident the staff pays very little attention to detail. The brand new apt I rented had paint droppings in the foyer and in various places on the bathroom floor. The storage unit off the balcony has a gaping hole in the wall and was/is unfinished (drywall tape still visible). Attention to detail is desperately lacking. The hot water heater is next to the bedroom and sounds like an air compressor (or the HVAC) starting up everytime you run hot water. The focus here is on getting lease agreemenrs and planning social events while overlooking the little details that impact your living experience AFTER you move in. The marketing for these brand new, still under construction apartments far exceed reality. And for the price, I would recommend looking at some of the other newer communities that are being built. Please use my comments to learn from my experience. Don't fall for the hype. You'll regret your decision the first week after moving in, which makes for a VERY long year!!
