Wonderful living for seniors. No noise, teenagers. Love the grounds and they are well kept! Office staff is professional, helpful and always ready to fix any issues, if any. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in St. Pete. Also accessible to stores, shops, hyway etc.

The Carlton Arms apartments are very well run. While here, I do feel at home because the staff is very friendly and warm. The apartments and grounds are very well maintained. Although the buildings are older, they are just fine if you're not looking for upscale living.

The apartments are match-stick construction with squeaky plywood floors, poor insulation, inefficient old-style AC compressors, deteriorating balconies, unpredictable smoke detectors and water heaters that leak regularly.

My dad has been living here for 14 years very friendly and safe environment great staff overall a great experience highly recommend this place best place in St. Petersburg , Very friendly people lots of get-togethers you really feel like you're part of the family there,They have a security guard 24 seven ,lots of walkways righ on the water ,Parking is not a problem lots of carports,You can rent the clubhouse for a party, very close to Publix & CVS , The swimming pool is awesome very clean lots of chairs and tables

As a returning resident you can't beat the price for what you get. Perfect views of Tampa Bay. Most of the time very quiet peaceful. The Bradenton location is best. Please be aware if you have maintenance issues some of the maintenance staff can be rude and the office manager will not respect the resident she will stand behind her workers regardless of what the consequences were. When it comes time to fixing problems that's when they become unfriendly even spiteful .Problems with smoke coming into the hallways from cigarettes and cigars and into other apartments problems with maintenance staff speaking inappropriate and rudely to residents on a constant basis. Routine maintenance calls not being done or being done halfway and Resident being put in the middle of the conflict. They do offer activities for seniors this is a plus.

Have been living here for less than a month but it was obvious from my first day that management takes pride in the property and has an honest concern for the residents. I was fortunate enough to be offered a unit with awesome views of Tampa Bay, the Skyway Bridge and the surrounding seashore/metropolitan areas. It's THE QUIETEST apartment I've lived in for many, many years. The grounds are incredible: There's a path around the perimeter of the property that I use for jogging and it's fantastic, especially along the waterfront. it's great to finally find a peaceful, well-managed place I'm proud to call home.

Terrible place to live. My husband had such a high level of mold in his blood and got real sick. The place in not updated at all. And the office staff is terrible. The old women are very rude to you. I had one of the managers say some real rude things to me. Not nice at all. We move and his blood levels are back to normal. Laundry facility is back from the 1970"s.

One year was enough. Only view was of faux brick wall. Parking: very few covered spots, those were full of old and rust things. Most tenants must park their vehicles under the blistering sun..Security gate? forget it, anyone is rarely there. Pool is lovely, would be better if management enforced rules and law by not letting babies in DIAPERS in it. Being an apartment complex for 55 tenants, many with health issues, this is unacceptable. Took 2 months to get my leg infection cleared up from the swimming pool. Enjoy an evening stroll after dinner? Forget it, grounds are dark, large trees make it even darking in evening. Also, as a 55 community, management has illegal aliens with 3 generations living in apartments. Maintenance crew is great, prompt, responsive and friendly.

Carlton Arms St. Petersburg

We just recently moved to Georgia after living in The Carlton Arms of St. Petersburg. We just wanted to let everyone know that this is a wonderful place to live. The management, office staff and maintenence are top-notch! They have great security and we always felt safe. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe this place. Meh. Keep looking.

CONS: I hate that the vents aren't per-unit, so if your neighbor is a smoker, it fills up your apartment! Also, there is construction on the West side of the complex, so it's noisy (sometimes they even work at 1 AM!) There is no central lighting, so you need lamps. The paint is so thick from countless paintings that it looks sloppy/drippy. PROS: The grounds are immaculate and the front office is filled with delightful, if patronizing, administrators (for example, a reasonable complaint might be met with 'oh that's too bad!' but no action). The bay views are awesome, and you can sometimes see dolphins at twilight. There has always been available/close parking.

Stately, old and falling apart

We moved here a year ago and have had ongoing problems with noise, sliding doors, and lack of air conditioning. The place looks so serene with the water all around, huge oak trees and beautiful landscaping, but it needs alot of work. Maintenance can't fix our sliders and slider screen anymore so it'll open easily, and we were told our air conditioner leaks freon and we just have to keep calling every few weeks to have some added. My neighbors have the same problem. The air runs all the time and it's seldom cool. They do the repairs to make it look good and keep people renting but that's it. The laundry facilities have constant problems as well and washers and dryers are old. The walls and ceilings are thin. You can hear every noise. If your neighbor goes to the bathroom during the night you can hear it all, not just the flush! If you talk on the phone without your TV on or if your neighbor does, you can hear the entire conversation. People without pets live in buildings with people with pets so barking is always an issue. And if the noise doesn't bother you, your noise will botrh someone else!
