This place moved me from my nice apartment that I was in and raised my rent $150 and ended up in an old apartment with broken plumbing that was fixed with silicone instead of changing the pipe. Walls in the bedroom are pealing off, my new countertops were painted with epoxy that is used in the floors of garages, doors that can't close them because they're been painted like 100 times with holes that were patched looks like my 3yrs nephew did the patching work, painted gfci outlet with texture paint knowing that it's hazardous, some cabinets painted grey and that's what they call new and renovated no baseboard molding in the bedroom or the closet and the only new thing that it has is a light in the kitchen that has "Bluetooth speaker" that's what I deserve when they raise my rent $150 more you guys decide

Lauren and her team are incredible. Lauren and Jessica have amazing customer service, so if your looking to move in. Those two are the only ones you want to deal with. Lauren has worked so hard to make this property a amazing place to live. It was a wonderful property when we moved in, less than a year later Lauren and her team has implemented valet waste, remodeled all the apartments, made the grounds look nice, they have movie nights and pool parties. Lauren is one of the best community managers I have ever known. She is always eager and willing to help and if there are issues she handles in with kindness and class..I don't know if her bosses read these but if you do..GIVE THAT GIRL A RAISE. She's a all star and we are super impressed and incredibly blessed to have her. We are raving fans of this property but specifically of Lauren. Thank you very much for your hard work and dedication to making our homes a safe and beautiful place to be.

I have lived at this property almost 1 year. They have did nothing but continue to make this apartment complex a better place to call HOME! Im very excited to hear we will be getting a gate!! I moved to Charlotte from West Virginia and wasn't sure about moving to this area. However I'm very happy with my decision and look forward to my next year at Aurea Station.

The worst place I have EVER lived! Please don't be fooled by the shiney new things and the name change! Since I have lived here, 10 months, I have been without water on three separate occasions because of the horrible plumbing! The sinks, and bathtubs are always getting clogged and it takes maintenance 3-4 days to respond to your request! The noise is almost unbearable, especially if your apartment is by the stairs! My neighbors put their dog out on the patio at night, who in turn barks most of the night!!!Your neighbors have no respect for others, they argue, fight, curse, drink and smoke in the parking lot and there is always loud music coming from cars on the weekends and late at night. It does no good to complain the staff doesn't care, they just want you to pay the rent, which is way too high for a place of such low standards! Seeing the police is common, a woman was robbed in the parking lot and there have been several break in's! My car was hit by one of my neighbors, I saw him and ran out on the patio to confront him and he just walked away! Please beware!!!

I have not enjoyed my stay here at aspen peak and will not be renewing my lease . I have lived here for 10 months and have had constant problems with the apartment since moving in . First there were many plumbing issues including having brown water come out my bathtub and the toilet being continuously clogged. To make it worse, you have to repeatedly call maintenance for them to even do something about it. One time I called for maintenance and no one came to fix anything until after 8 days. I've heard gunshots go off on 2 occasions in my time here and I do not feel safe . The good thing is they have valet trash and is close to the highway but they need many improvements !

I am a current resident of Aspen Peak Apartments. I've been a resident since March 2015(9 months), and lets just say that since living in this community; I have been an unhappy resident. I broke my lease so i can move ASAP. When I first moved into my apartment, there were items in the apartment that were broken and needed to be fixed. Yes, they were fixed within 3 days , but honestly it should have been fixed before keys were placed in my hands. There have also been constant issues with neighbors yelling and fighting, water in community was cut off almost 24 hrs which was totally an inconvenience, trash overflowing at the dumpster which should not be, since the community is "supposedly" upgraded and taken over by a new management co. I have also had constant issues with my toilet overflowing over the past 3 months. I have also had neighbors in my unit move out within the past 3 months because they were unhappy. I've had convos with current residents about the community, and I've heard nothing but negativity, but hey, that has been since DAY 1. Don't get me wrong Aspen Peak does have a perk..It is close to the light rail and convenient to any mall in the area, BUT it is not worth it when you're not a happy resident. If you are interested in coming into Aspen Peak to get info, then you may want to go to the office, because you will have constant trouble trying to call them. You would think their office does not have a business line, because they never pick up the phone! EVER!! - my luck i guess. I am honestly ashamed to bring friends and family to my home, and I cant wait to move. I have lived in plenty communities in the South Carolina area (Fort mill, Columbia). However, I came to Charlotte to start a new chapter in my life, and I have to say that living here( Aspen Peak), and not being happy to come home when I get off work to relax is the worst. All I can think about is counting down the days until I move. Some people can be satisfied and content with not being happy all because their community is convenient to everything, but the way I look at it is, if my money is involved then I should be a 100% full of happiness to be a resident of my community. I hope that if you are looking for a community, please look in detail and very carefully when looking for a home for you and your family. Also, to help your process when searching for a home, please look at the ratings and reviews of the community of your choice. Thanks- Good luck on your apartment hunting!! :)

Horrible!!! I was racially discriminated against when I applied for an at Aspen Peak. The company denied my application but could not justify nor give me any information on why is denied. I have perfect Rental History, no Prior Evictions, Good Credit Score, No Criminal History, and Excellent Income. This situation is a clear case of racial discrimination which I will be filing a complaint with the Fair Housing Act of North Carolina. I am in a position to actually purchase house when my credit history, job time, and income. Sadly, it is unfortunate when you relocate you are put in a position where you need to move quick then you have the time to find the perfect house. There is no justification other than discrimination when you meet every qualification required to moved in a residency but then told you are denied. I've been approved for every residency I ever applied in my whole life but this one. In fact, later I was approved for a nicer apartment complex with better amenities. Another of the biggest isssues is when I applied the leasing agent name Alicia told everything was good to go. She told me to go to the gas station to get a $150 deposit money order to hold the apartment. The next day they stated I was denied and gave me back a money order which I purchased from a gas station that would not refund me my money. Now I will have to go to Moneygram.com and pay $15 dollars just get money back from a money ordered that I was deceived into purchasing. This is shady, unjust, and unscrupulous business practice that should not be allowed. This is very shady and business should not be handled this way. I feel I should be reimbursed for $15 dollars that I will have to pay to receive a refund on this money order. No representative for a should EVER tell a consumer to get a money order unless the are 100% should that is went through. Ironically it would of went through if I was discriminated against when I applied however that will be addressed, accordingly

I am a 54 year old professional in transition after a divorce. Since I moved into Aspen Peak in May 2015 I have not been happy with the community. Fifty yards into the entrance there is a huge dumpster which gets filled within two to three days every week with mattresses, garbage, used furniture, etc. It looks more like a landfill in the middle of the city. In addition the community is LOUD with speakers blasting off especially on weekends. Motorcycles are LOUD on weekends as well. In addition during my brief period at Aspen Peak I was fined twice for late rent payments even though I set up direct bill/bank draft twice. Don't try to call corporate because you will get voice mail. You are not going to be content living at Aspen Peak. Renovations are marginal. Staff: four stars. The problem is at Corporate not with the local administration.

I just moved in a few months ago and even though they are under new renovations, the staff is very helpful and have been on top of everything. They made sure my apartment was ready on time and the upgrades are amazing. Love my new home. I would definitely recommend living here, it's a nice area and so convenient to shopping and there fitness center is so awesome.

This complex is great at being professional and overly apologetic about their crappy apartments and maintenance service. Even under new management their employees are incompetent. I've lived here for a year and am counting the days down to leave. Water constantly being shut off and on. Pool was under construction the entire summer I was here. No cameras and street light that come on and off whenever. Risky to park your car. Apartment wasn't even move in ready when I moved in. It took maintenance 3 times to fix my garbage disposal before they "realized" there weren't even blades in the disposal. Water damage to ceiling and floor that hasn't been fixed for over 2 weeks. Still waiting. Id move out today if possible...

I have had a great experience with Aspen Peaks. I have been meet most everyone in the office and the one that stood out to me the most was a lady named Lauren. She was very helpful with all of my needs and concerns about the area in which this complex is located. All the staff are friendly and the complex is kept up well. I'm so glad that I decided to move into the area now. Thanks to everyone who has made this move to Charlotte as easy and painless as possible. Thanks again to Lauren that woman knows how to make you feel at home.

I absolutely LOVE my newly renovated apartment! I have lived here for all most 2 years and the changes are amazing! The new management team had done a dramatic job to our property. My sister has recently moved into the complex also. The entire staff is professional, friendly and really care about their residents! #happyrenter

The new management is horrible. They show no sign that they care about the tenants, either new or existing. The grounds are littered with garbage. They are "renovating" units which has led to a chaotic, noisy, and messy disaster. Large beige construction storage units all over the place. The only reason people move here is the proximity to the train and the price point; however, the price point is going up quickly. The office manager, Lauren, is extremely unprofessional....when she is there. Very excited for my lease to be up. I am moving and paying more rent without hesitation to get out of this place.

I normally don't write reviews, but we felt that we had to voice our opinion. First, the office manager, her staff and the maintenance crew are outstanding! If you have any concerns about anything they all go out of there way to help you. When outside they're always stopping you to see if they can do anything better. Second, our apartment had new floors, new appliances and new paint. Third the grounds and pool area are maintained very well. Last night they were planning on showing JAWS at the pool, but the weather man wasn't to nice. If your looking for a place to live you must consider Aurea Station. Not only are the priced right, close to the city and you have an outstanding staff! Thank you!

Went downhill with new management. I will break down my experience in 4 points. -Tacky storage containers taking up most of the parking lot. -Office workers are more like recruiters, will totally ignore current tenants for new prospective tenants. Waited 30 minutes to get a package out of the office multiple times. -DANGEROUS. Sending out warnings of break-ins in the neighborhood. Not kid friendly. -Litter all over neighborhood, their solution is to send an emails which have not worked for an ongoing 6 months. Truly a slummy place to live.

I moved to Aspen Peak because it was affordable. When my lease is up in October I'm out of here. The neighborhood is dirty. Neighbors leave trash in the parking lot and the garbage dumpster is always overflowing. Maintance is very slack, don't be surprised if you submit a request and have to follow up with the office because after a week it still has not been completed. Maintance will also leave your lights on and in one instance I came home and my freezer door was wide open. Yes the food in my freezer had defrosted!!!! When I contacted the office they told me the Manger Lauren Cartwright handlde any situations dealing with maintenance complaints and they would notify her. I called twice after that and left a voice mail for her to call me back, which she didn't. I finally went into the office after a week of not hearing back and they provided me with her email and basically told me that they never have problems with their maintance staff and it's highly unlikely they did anything like that. I felt like they were covering up because they do not want to be held liable. The issue is still not resolved and I have yet to hear back from Lauren. BEWARE IF YOU PLAN ON MOVING HERE THIS PLACE HAS BECOME DIRTY, NOISY AND THE STAFF IS INCOMPETENT!!!!

BEWARE. The apartments are quite old, the new management is even worse than the previous ones, when when I thought it didnt couldnt get worse. They lose paperwork, do not honor requests, and never answer the phone, unless you hit the option stating that you are a perspective tenant. The plumbing sucks, i have had more than a few plumbing issues. The water bugs are horrendous, inside and outside of my apartment. The apartments are not soundproof in the least bit. I can hear my neighbors above me, conversations and walking. I can hear people walking on the stairs outside when I am inside. The crime rate is high. Within one year, someone got shot here, someone was raped here, and cars got vandalized here. Honestly, there are other complexes around the same price that are way better. I have spent an entire year here unhappy, and am glad to be leaving.

The staff is always pleasant and friendly. Usually they remember my name which is always nice. The noise is not the best especially since people decide to blare their bass at 230 am most mornings. The pipes are pretty old and result in a ton of mold and water everywhere.

Safety issues, numerous incidents of crime. Renovations are not bad. Neighbors are noisy. Some neighbors leave empty beer cans and liquor bottles on balcony Banister. This will be my final year due to crime.
