Office staff is very friendly. Apartment is in a great area (across from the Police Station), convenient to I-440 and very convenient to grocery stores/shopping. Appears to be family friendly, pet friendly and an overall great community. Looking forward to calling this home for a while.

The office staff is great and helped my move-in process to move smoothly and fast before my lease at my other apartment was up. This is a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. My apartment was clean and I feel at home here. I can tell this is going to be a great place to call home!

Brittany was very helpful with all of my move in needs and made sure that I was comfortable with the situation I was about to encounter. She made my move in easy. She let me move back my move in date when I needed to and worked with me to get all the miscellaneous things prepared.

Staff is mine. When I toured, I was showed the unit that I was suppose to have since it was vacant. When I came to drop off my security deposit I was told that I would have another unit. My biggest issue is no overhead lighting in the living room or bedroom. The only lights are in the kitchen and bathroom

The experience that I have with complex's is that the parking is not good that they need to have apt numbers on the ground and have visitors parking up by the mail boxes other than that it could be better

The quality of the apartment is fine. Have not run into any huge issues. The balconies are a nice size and I do like the layout. All units have the same layout, some just have an extra bedroom attached to one side. The appliances are "updated" but I do wish we had an electric stove top instead of burners. I have heard of several issues with flooding on the bottom floor of apartments after a hard rain. From what I've seen it doesn't look like they fix the problem- they just replace the carpet and rent the unit out to somebody new. Onsite there is a laundry facility, pool, and tennis courts. There is no dog park or gym. Have not had any issues with parking close to my unit, but do with there was better lighting in the parking lots. There are a number of lights around the complex, but not all of them work consistently. Typically quiet neighborhood, however the fire station is nearby and the police station is right across the street, so sirens are pretty often heard. There are sidewalks outside the complex, but there is not much within walking distance. It is on a pretty busy road, so running/walking isn't quite enjoyable. There are lots of options nearby for food and shopping, but again, do require you to get in the car. The previous maintenance staff seemed to be pretty clueless, so there are lots of things that work but aren't quite right. Haven't had much interaction with the new staff, but I do know that there has been a lot of turnover in the year that we've been here. Have had some issues with staff entering our apartment for maintenance requests at wrong times or without permission. We do have pets, so this is a concerning issue for us. Office staff not always helpful and can be condescending at times. There have been a number of times when the office sign says open, the lights are on, but the door is locked. Office accepts packages, but won't notify residents of delivery and have been known to keep packages for weeks. We signed at this complex when Pegasus owned it. A couple months into the lease we got a letter taped to the door letting us know that Drucker and Falk were taking over effective immediately- we were assured that nothing would change right away and we could pay our rent using the same online portal. When rent came due, the portal was down and several of our neighbors that are on automatic payments were not notified that their rent payment was not processed and had to pay a late fee. A lot of our information was not kept on file, so we had to resubmit it to the new management. Among other things, the transition could have been handled better. Overall, a pretty average apartment complex with your standard annoyances and small inconveniences.

I just arrived 5 days ago. I found the staff very helpful. I really love the storage space. I have a nice view overlooking traffic and I enjoy the sounds of a country night in the summer. It's a beautiful community.

Great experience, and neighborhood. No complaints since being here. Whenever I need something done they are on top of getting it fixed. Also the leasing office staff have great customer service and makes you feel like your important.

The apartment isn't well maintained. The toilet is rusted through on the inside and they didn't realize it didn't work when I moved in. Otherwise it seems habitable. Don't expect maitenence to come for anything.

Sommerset has a friendly and helpful staff. The move-in walkthrough process was fast and minor repairs were addressed the following business day. The community is directly across from a police station and safety is essentially a guarantee. So far, I consider Sommerset the ideal place to live in North Raleigh.

Neighborhood is quiet. Management is very nice. Neighbors are nice. Finding a park close to your particular building is hard after certain hours. Maintenance tries very hard to keep up with work orders and the pools are kept clean and are not overcrowded with non residents

The walls are very thin, you can hear people talking in other apartments. The could get a different landscaping company, the grounds need better care. The tenteant play loud music and leave garbage laying on their stairway area. It is convient to shoppinng, highways 440 & 540.

The apartment is great and the move in process was easy. I like the different annenities they have and the relative inexpensive price. It is also nice that the noise level is low and my neighbors are nice. I would recommend living here for an inexpensive appt.

It was an absolutely hassle free experience beginning from viewing the apartment till moving in. The leasing staff is extremely helpful and explain the minutest details. They answered to every query with a lot of patience. Kudos to the entire team. Everything of daily needs are nearby thus saves a lot of time.

Friendly neighborhood, love the private entry (if your on the top floor) and the balcony is nice and big. Old units with ok updates. Not a lot of cabinet space (depending on what unit you're in) some have ceiling cabinets, others do not. Some unit have ceiling fans and track light. Mines has neither. I did have a SERIOUS BUG issue when I first moved in and now I have a minimum bug issue, because I personally spray my apartment every month. (Apartment sprays as well)Neighbors are mostly quiet, but there may be a little bit of loud music at night (Mon-Fri and weekends). Random people do use the complex as a walk thru all hours of the day and night. If you live on the top floor you will smell everything, including food and cigar smoke.

I am finally free of this place... The office manager here could not manage her way out of a paper bag, much less an apartment complex. While I Iived at Sommerset Place, I was harassed by my upstairs neighbor both directly and via the main office. It would not be so bad if I had done anything wrong but the woman is a known drunk and a known crackhead. The office staff does not care about her activities but I got a notice on my door when she drunkenly told them I was emptying my cat's litter box into some bushes in front of the building (which was not true, by the way). Their online payment rarely works right and when the issue results in your being overcharged, you have to fight to get your money back. They basically treated me like the scum of the earth while allowing the crackhead neighbor to persist in her acquisition of drugs (by sexual favors right in front of the building). The pool is closed by office staff on a whim during the summer (if it looks like it might rain or they decide that it's not a good day for you to go swimming). They pay people to come blow leaves several days out of the week, even if there are no leaves to blow. The noise from this is just awful. If you complain about it, they have a guy come out to water plants with a pressure washer type set-up, that is even louder, the very next day at 7 pm. There were only 3 parking spots convenient to my apartment and other apartments in my building but the staff frequently uses these spots because residents are the last thing they care about. If I had a heavy load of groceries to carry I would have to park by the curb then move my car and would almost always get a complaint about it via email or notice on my door the next day. My car was broken into, not once but twice, despite the location being right across the street from the police station. When you move out they nickel and dime you to the point of ridiculousness, despite not following through with move-in specials. This is literally the worst place I have ever had the misfortune of living. They did have a good office manager but she was moved to another complex and replaced with the current one, who just sits there and attempts to rob you (using the lease, instead of a gun) while turning a blind eye to real, valid threats to the community. To give credit where credit is due, the maintenance guys seem to be pretty good. Do not live here if you value safety, not being harassed constantly or your hard earned money. Oh, and forget contacting corporate. They do nothing.

Very good experience. Nice staff. Observed that the community is silent enough, calm and great people around. The pool and the tennis court are small but good enough. Parking facility is great and theres is always slot available if you are even late from work.

Service has improved tremendously. They has new management in place. Someone who is actually concerned about any issues you may have with your apartment. The new maintenance guy actually listens and will go out of the way to make sure everything is right
