Where did ------------------- go? They were the most efficient staff at the office. Some front desk employee are very rude! They see you standing waiting for them, and they continue to chit chat away. Quite unprofessional. I wish my lease was ending soon. I would leave like tomorrow

I'm putting in an initial review based on my first month's experience. Without question, one of the biggest draws is its proximity to the Hamilton train station. As for the unit, the floor plan is one of the best I've seen in my search for rental apartments. The unit is airy and spacious and so is the balcony/patio. Community staff is very friendly and pleasant to interact with, and the response to my first maintenance call was impressively prompt. The only reason I give less than 5 stars on community grounds/appearance is that I'd prefer a more woody environment with greenery and foliage. Overall, it's been great so far - I've had no reasons to complain whatsoever.

Beware of this place!! I have lived here for 4 years and even though the place is nice, it seems the staff goes every month. I have had so many problems lately dealing with the staff. I called today to speak with my one person that was constant here and I find out Stacey is no longer here. I have also heard from other friends that have moved out and were charched so much money. I have decided to move this year.

This community is a great place to live! The neighborhood and grounds are well-kept and quiet. The staff is very professional and friendly. And the community as a whole is safe and a great place to be as a young professional.

I haven't lived here at Hamilton long, but I'm settling in to the apartment and the surrounding area quite well. The apartment complex is fairly new and well taken care of, and the New Yorker apartment is spacious yet cozy; there's plenty of storage/closet space in the bedrooms, the ceilings are high, and the large windows of my apartment let in the wonderful rays of the afternoon sun! I'm also really enjoying the laundry room in my apartment. The neighborhood is quiet aside from the occasional train whistle, dog, or car alarm, but the bathrooms and bedrooms of the apartment seem to allow more noise from the above/below neighbors than the other rooms--though not too loud that I find it annoying. I discovered the complexes' 2 trash compactors and recycling bins get full rather fast, despite the signs that warn residents of fines for piling bags outside the proper receptacles (so I'm hoping this won't become a problem in the future). As for the location, the Crossings is within walking distance of the NJ Transit line, and is just a quick drive away from a movie theater, a mall, and a number of restaurants and shops. The staff of the Crossings is friendly, and Stacey was so helpful throughout the apartment showing and renting process! So far I'm really enjoying living at the Crossings!

I have recently decided to rent at The Crossings. My leasing agent Stacey Scotto has helped my husband and I through every step of the way. We had a lot of issues with selling our house and she was so patient with us. If this is any indication of how things are going to be, I am very excited!!

I have been living at The Crosdings for just under a year. I love the amazing events they throw at the club house. Stacey and all the employees make me feel like family. My apartment is beautiful and I plan on staying here for many more years.

We lived here for a year in one of the apartments and left largely disappointed with the place. I'm giving the place one star for two big negatives and an overall lack of redeeming qualities to balance them out: the buildings are incredibly poorly constructed, and you should fully expect to be charged damages for normal wear and tear. First, the building construction: If you have neighbors above you, you will hear ever footstep they take and every time they use the restroom. If they have friends over or children, expect the noise to be unbearable. Hearing how loud our upstairs neighbors were, we were very conscious of our own movements through the apartment. However, we still received numerous noise complaints from below. It's really just a factor of the poor building construction, which does little to isolate people going about their normal lives. Next, the security deposit: Normally you'd expect this to be used for damages. At the crossings, the deposit will be used to pay for normal apartment maintenance between tenants. We were told not to clean when moving out as "They have impossible standards and I don't want you to spend time and money cleaning, only to be charged anyway. If you forget something as simple as emptying the dryer lint trap they'll charge you the full $150 cleaning fee". Also expect a standard carpet cleaning fee and painting fee. Again, we were told that every tenant is charged this. We knew this going in after reading the previous reviews, so we didn't fight it -- but were surprised to see even more damage charges added to the list that were somehow "missed" during the inspection. Overall the concierge staff is polite and helpful, especially Mohammad. The location is perfect for commuting into NYC. The gym at the clubhouse is well maintained and conveniently open 24/7. Beyond that, don't expect to find many positives at the Crossings.

I am moving to the Crossings with my husband in a few weeks and I am really excited. Stacey was so helpful with finding us the perfect apartment. She showed us around the property for hours so that we could be happy with our perfect choice. The club house is so beautiful and we can't wait to use the movie theater room.

I have lived at The Crossings for over a year now and have already renewed my lease for another year. I have been very satisfied with my stay here and heartily recommend it to others looking for a place to live in the area. Eva and the rest of the staff are excellent, always friendly and helpful. The exterior maintenance is top notch. They are very on point for snow removal and go the extra step of shovelling between cars and behind them to make it easy for residents. The complex is fairly new and I was the first resident in my particular apartment. Everything has a high bar of quality and I have not had a single issue. The few maintenance requests I have submitted were all resolved very quickly and professionally.

My husband and I are in search of a rental property. We couldn't have been more pleased when we visited The Crossings at Hamilton and we were welcomed by Stacey. She made us feel comfortable right away. Her knowledge and professionalism helped us to find what we were looking for. She took the time to not only show us the homes that were available, but also showed us all of the beautiful amenities that are offered. She was patient in answering all of our questions and we hope to be able to call this home shortly!

I believe this complex has more going for it than against it, but I'd rather call out what's going against it first. CON 1: As other reviews have said, their lease agreement terms are objectively some of the worst I've ever dealt with. After reading it over completely a few times, I requested 3 or 4 relatively small amendments to remove the most concerning offenses. Leasing made the request to corporate, and the response they got back was very clear that absolutely no changes to the lease agreement would be permitted. In my decade of rental history, I've never heard of a leasing agency be so unwilling to even discuss the requested changes. They assured me that those rules had never been enforced, but to be honest it doesn't really give me any comfort. So far so good, but I've over half a year left on my lease for that to change; fingers crossed it doesn't. CON 2: The paint on the walls. It's not just bad, it's nearly nonexistent. I'm about 99% sure that it's just water and food dye for how easily it seems to disappear with the lightest touch. Go into your rental knowing full well that you'll be stuck paying some awful repainting fee at the end because corporate is more willing to pay for a ton of terrible paint with every move in/out than decent paint that actually lasts a number of years. As I said before, the bad before the good makes the most sense to me. PRO 1: The staff. Sangeeta, Eva, Stacy, Neil, and Mohammad are nothing short of delightful. Always friendly and helpful, always trying their best to keep us happy. It's a pleasure to drop by the front desk and burn a little bit of their time whenever they've got it. PRO 2: The unit layouts. Other than one of the 2 bed, 2 bath layouts we saw (which was just... meh), all of their other layouts we've seen are a joy, which is quite a rarity these days. More and more apartment layouts have odd quirks without reason, so we were pleased to find a place that was mostly sane with it's organization. PRO 3: Parking. It exists, there's plenty of it, and the spaces are relatively spacious given the apartment parking I'm used to. PRO 4: Security. Digital keys for all buildings and units, where any resident's key is programmed to only let them into their building, the common buildings, and their unit. This is exactly how convenient digital key access should be, and the key format is comfortable to carry in a pocket. PRO 5: Frankly, most other things. Despite the cons I listed (which are still extremely valid issues), the place is generally great. Friendly residents + staff, easy access to the NJ Transit trains and buses, quiet neighborhood, secure package delivery either at the front desk or inside the locked doors of your building (depends on the carrier), pool, gym, common area office. It's a nice place for a price that's neither insane nor cheap, just what we wanted. Hopefully corporate reads these and eventually relaxes the totally wacko lease terms a bit and buys some paint that's worth a damn, but at least they're running a pretty good shop at the moment.

I lived in this community for 18 months and my recommendation is " STAY AWAY! " It's all gimmick ..with free rents. They will eventually cover up the cost when you move out. One thing that you need to know if you are moving in…. the WHOLE HOUSE IS CARPETED ….IF YOU HAVE KIDS, TRUST ME YOU WILL BE PAYING FOR EVERY THING! Nothing is stainless steel …so it looks old and dated! Since its all black appliance …please check your microwave.. it could have cracks on the doors…they made us pay for it. It had cracks from heat …but they never agreed to it. They made me change that door…. I paid $180 for door for that crappy OLD microwave… ! You can get a stainless-steel microwave for that price and it will not crack! The moving out process … maintenance person will come and review the apartment... and tell you what's wrong in the apartment……basically getting us prepared for big bill ! They told us don't clean carpets …don't clean the apartment..don't paint the walls…everything has to be as per 'Edgewood Property Standards' which is the only way they can cover the free rent money or else how would they profit…. They have so many empty apartments! However, we were like ok go ahead charge for carpet cleaning, house cleaning and painting because we would never match their standards. After one month, we get a bill….they decided among themselves to charge us for carpet removal. They never communicated that to us and just sent us the bill….we had to make personal visit to them and ask them what's happening and why we getting changed for removal …when it was agreed to carpet cleaning! POOR COMMUNICATION! After several conversations, they agreed to clean the carpet first … They said that a video was taken while they were cleaning, and the stain never went away… Which was never shared with us! They went ahead and removed the carpet. So basically, I did not get a chance to even see if the stains were out or not after they completed cleaning…they just removed the carpet and said you need to pay bill. To avoid this drama, please stay away. Such a waste of my time! HORRIBLE! DISAPPOINTED WITH THE WHOLE MANAGEMENT. STAY AWAY FROM ALL EDGEWOOD PROPERTIES!!!!

My family needed an apartment immediately because we sold our house but couldn't find a suitable one to move into by the time we had to move out. Stacey and the staff at The Crossings went into overdrive to turn over the only vacant townhome left in the development within days. A team of absolute stars! Everyone here is professional, capable, and just plain wonderful. We felt defeated and exhausted from a summer of real estate folly, but after we moved in we felt such relief. This townhouse is more beautiful than any house we looked at all summer. It is pristine and the finishes are absolutely beautiful. The 24-hour maintenance staff is wonderful and fixes everything efficiently. Plus we have the clubhouse, 24-hour gym, pool, movie room, and business center to enhance our stay. We have everything we could ask for here. We may never leave!

After owning our own home for 20 years it was great to scale down but not to sacrifice the feeling of community and luxury. The clubhouse is a wonderful amenity but for me the best part about living here is the staff. The front desk staff Eva and Mohammad always have a smile ready and a helpful attitude. They both go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. The staff in the leasing office are always welcoming and visible. Sangeeta and the rest of the staff invite ideas to create community like yoga on Saturdays. My husband and I congratulate ourselves on the wise decision to move here everyday :)

We were there a few weeks ago looking for a 2B apartment. First things first: Stacey was very nice all the time and we liked the apartment. We saw many bad reviews online but we wanted to check by ourselves. The problem came when we decided to move forward and we proceed with the application ($50 each applicant) + holding fee ($300). Then, in less than 24h we received an email with the lease agreement. The lease agreement is one of the longest agreements I have ever seen and I believe the reason is two-fold: (i) discourage the prospective tenant to read it and (ii) they have tons of clauses for their own protection. I am used to work with agreements due to my job, and this is by far the most aggressive agreement I've ever seen, with 100% protection for the owner and 0% protection for the tenant. One common problem people have in these apartments is actually when they move out. The inspection is done after they left the place so there is no way to ensure those staining they are telling you were actually there or, instead, they are scaling you (as many people point out in their reviews). I asked them to amend the lease to change that (or to add an addendum at the end) saying something like "the inspection will be done in the presence of the tenant on the move out day". Since you have to let them know at least 2 months in advance, I figured they would have enough time to schedule the inspection. I went back and forth several emails and calls, but the answer was clear: we are not going to change the way we do it. It never happened to me in any place I have been before or the ones I looked after that where they have this policy. And this is just an example. I recommend you to check on google reviews instead, they are 100% reliable. And order them from new to old. You will notice this practice has been going on for years and it doesn't look like it is going to change at all. They try to convince you that since now you pay less deposit they can deduct less money on the move out. Far from the truth, since they may request and sue you for additional money (and guess what, you have to pay for all the expenses from the suit as stated on the agreement). The reviews from former tenants are scary if you care about your money and being scammed. There are several tenants that report that they charge them when they leave for new toilet seats because they lost their original color. And I ask, is not that regular wear and tear??? Apparently it is not for them. Regarding to hanging things on the walls: on the lease they clearly state that you cannot use any kind of adhesive to do it and that, instead, you have to drill on the walls. Guess what, if you keep reading through the infinite number of pages, you will see that if you drill the walls you will have to may a huge amount of money to repair de walls. And I could keep going on and on for many many lines. If you are really considering moving there, ask them to show you the lease agreement BEFORE you pay for the hold or you are going to lose $400. You will freak out if you read the whole lease. Do the same in other places and you will see how aggressive their lease is when you compare them. By 0 protection for the tenant I mean 0 protection. They even tell you that even if you sign the lease and pay the fees, they cannot guarantee that you can enter into the apartment on the desired date, and that they don't have to compensate you in any way if the delay is no longer than 30 days. Now imagine that you told your current owner you are living, and the same day you start living on the new apartment at the Crossings. What happens if there is a delay of 4 weeks? You are totally homeless and they are not going to pay for a hotel or anything. Be careful with these people if you love your well earned money. There are tons of nice communities around and they keep building more brand new residences!!

I lived in this beautiful apartment for only four months, unfortunately, I had to transfer to a different state. I really enjoyed my time at Crossings at Hamilton. I also truly appreciated the help that I received from the staff. In particular, I worked with Ms. Sangeeta Bedi who is one of the representatives that helped me throughout my stay and beyond. She is truly kind, helpful, and has gone over and beyond to ensure that everything is taken care of during my stay. She was really well informed not only about the apartments policies but also about the local happenings. She came to my assistance even when I moved out to make sure that I had a smooth transition. I highly recommend this place!

We have lived here at the Crossings since the end of 2011 (posting this in June 2018), and we love it here. We moved here from New York and continue to use the Hamilton Station to commute to New York City for work. The Hamilton Station is literally a five-minute walk from our front door. The neighborhood is a world away from the noise and stress of the City, however: it's a tranquil community of young families nestled (even somewhat hidden from view) behind a corporate office park. You would be hard pressed to find this combination of serenity and convenience anywhere else in New Jersey. Moreover, we're located right off Route 1 in New Jersey near Princeton, so transportation by car is also a breeze. I recommend the Crossings for anyone who must commute to the City on a regular basis, but also for the growing Princeton University community, who I know must contend with rising housing prices and crowding in Princeton Township proper. The commute to Princeton University is about 20-25 minutes by car via Route 1, slightly longer with rush hour traffic. I want to mention here in particular the outstanding service we have received from Mohammad Saad at Edgewood Properties, who has always gone above and beyond to assist us with all issues and questions. All of the staff at the Crossings have been absolutely outstanding since we first arrived here in 2011. Thank you all!
