The only plus for this complex is that you are close to the train station. There is a small workout area, but too small. My son joined a regular gym because it was so small. And there is a pool but the pool hours were too short. And they couldn't open the pool on Memorial Day weekend because something was broken! The other "amenities," pool table, "movie theatre" are very rarely used, from what I could see. Noise: The noise level from the construction is ridiculous. There is construction noise constantly from early morning throughout the day, sometimes seven days a week. There is also construction dirt to contend with as it comes through the windows of the apartments and is all over the cars. Look around the complex, they will be building new units for a long time. You can also hear people in the hallways from the apartments. Fire alarms: The alarms are situated so that they go off when you turn the oven up past 450 (can't roast vegetables) or forget to turn on the fan when boiling water for pasta. Outdoor lighting: Be prepared to buy blackout curtains because the lights are so bright, it's impossible to sleep. Maintenance: The maintenance crew is good, except our air conditioning broke three times over the summer, for a total of five days without air conditioning. One of those times was over a very hot weekend, but of course, there is no one on site over the weekend to fix anything. Physical apartment: Everything is constructed "on the cheap." The blinds are cheap, one fell off when I pulled the cord because it wasn't installed properly. The toe-kick in the kitchen is made from cardboard. The carpet is junk. Moving out: I was charged for carpet re-stretching. Never heard of such a charge. When I asked what it was and why I was being charged for it, I never got a response. The carpeting is so cheap you could have replaced all of the carpeting for the amount I was charged. I was also charged $70 for two blinds that couldn't have cost more than $20. Basically, Edgewood Properties is all about making money off of people. With no regard for the tenants. I will never rent from them again.

I lived at the crossings for a year. When I moved in I loved the office staff everyone was so welcoming and happy to see you. Mid lease the staff changed, they brought in the most stuck up and unhappy people who were so miserable and nasty that it made it uncomfortable to pick up a package or ask them any questions. I avoided the amenities I paid for just because of the unprofessional and disgusting attitudes I was greeted with. Walking into the clubhouse felt like walking into a morgue. I could not wait to get out of there. I do have to mention the maintenance staff, they were always extremely helpful and always quick to take care of issues within the apartment. The maintenance staff was the only plus in that whole community. The Security deposit was the last straw in this whole process. I left the apartment super tidy and in great condition because I read all the previous reviews about what nightmares other residents faced with these crooks. Of course it came as no surprise that they took pretty much my whole deposit for cleaning, painting and light bulbs(so pathetic). These people have no shame in stealing from you. If you want to live in a morgue and be lied too and then eventually robbed, I recommend you live at the crossings. Please look elsewhere and don't put yourself through the unnecessary stress and the dishonesty that comes along with this living experience.

Extremely satisfied with the locality, quality of houses and staff. Very spacious and well lit. A bit expensive though. Would really really like to have club house open 24*7. (Not just gym and business center) Also, garbage dumpsters are very far. Should have one near each building.

Luis, David, Samantha, and Gina are the most friendly and customer service oriented professionals I have ever encountered. They are always very gracious and friendly and informative when it comes to anything about The Crossings At Hamilton Station. it was one-stop shopping and they made it very easy and understandable for me. I picked the perfect unit and I love it. Thanks to Luis, David, Samantha, and Gina, I have everything I need and am very happy. These individuals are valued representatives of edgewood properties, and of The Crossings at Hamilton Station.

I'll start my review from the the time I walked into the leasing office. My roommate and I were looking for apartments together that were relatively close to McGuire AFB as well as close to transportation into the major cities. The Crossings met those two requirements since it is about a 25 minute drive to base, a reasonable commute. I was given a few days of house hunting leave as I am new to the area so I walked into the leasing office to get an idea of the apartments and amenities. I didn't have an appointment and this was a Monday morning so I expected that I would be turned away since they were too busy. I met with the leasing agent, Luis, and he dropped everything and helped me out right there and then. He was very polite and concerned about what my needs and requirements were for an apartment. He showed me a two bed two bath apartment on the third floor I believe and explained the 25 dollar increase as you go up in floors. I thought the apartment was a little on the small side for the price but for us the convenience of the train, nice amenities, and local area led us to ultimately enter into a lease. The kitchen is a little small but the appliances are new and there is plenty of cabinet space and nice countertops. The large bedroom is very nice with its master bathroom and soaker tub. The living area and dining area offer a good amount of room for us to not feel like we're on top of each other. As for the construction that is occurring, a lot of people have complained about it, but you know what you're getting into when you sign the lease. It is spelled out in the lease and Luis even hit on it that construction occurs everyday, which is expected until they finish the complex. And what do people expect? It's a brand new complex. The only way it could have been avoided is to finish the entire complex and then open the doors and allow tenants in. To be honest, I don't mind the construction and the noise is not that bad and they observe the quiet hours. Overall our experience has been very positive. We moved in on August 1st and haven't had any problems. The staff is all very polite, the amenities are nice with no reoccurring fee, the complex is new, and you can't beat the convenience of the train. Our leasing agent Luis really does go above and beyond to get you what you really want and we are very happy with the service we've been provided so far. I would recommend this property.

I went to The Crossings at Hamilton Station on 8/2/2014 to check out the apartments and townhouses for rent. The concierge first sits with you and asks questions from a form, like contact information, pets, number of bedrooms, move-in date etc. Then the lease agent sits with you and asks you the same questions from the form all over again. The lease agent's name is ---- and he was very rude and brisk. He obviously did not have the time or desire to show us any apartments. He told me there would not be any townhouses available for rent until well into 2015. I requested to see both 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and this was a problem for ----. Not only did he press me to choose one or the other, but he also wanted me to decide which floor I wanted to live on (there are 4 floors)??? I actually had to confront his resistance and then he finally agreed to show me the apartments (or so I thought). After a brisk showing of the club house, where I was practically running to keep up with him, he then races off to the apartment. I see the Metro II, which is on the 2nd floor and starts at $1,700/mo. For each floor ascended, the price increases by $25. All utilities are paid by the tenant- ---- said the avg. cost is $145-$165/mo., and water is $15-$20/mo. There are also storage spaces available on each floor for an additional cost (I think $60/mo., and they're about 5x5. He was vague here.) My impression of the apartment is that it is small. When you walk in, you are in the kitchen. The kitchen has black appliances and is an average size for an apartment. It's newer, so it's nice looking, but the wood finishes do not look very modern to me (and I think black appliances are ugly). The oven is gas. There is also a full size stackable washer/dryer, tucked away in a closet. The dryer is electric. There is a very small closet across from the washer/dryer, which is the only other closet besides the bedroom. The bathroom is off of the kitchen, to the right when you walk in. There is a tub. It's also newer and nice looking, average size. The living and dining areas are very cramped together and both are on carpeting. There is a small covered balcony off of the living area, which overlooks the parking lot and faces other buildings. The bedroom is off of the living area and is very small, and offers one tiny closet. Besides everything looking nice since it was only built about 2 years ago, my overall impression was the apartment was very small, did not offer any storage (unless you want to pay extra for a storage unit), and is extremely overpriced. I told ---- it was small, thinking we were off to look at a 2 bedroom apartment next. Well we weren't. He took me right back to the leasing office and told me to make an appointment if I want to see the other apartments, because he's too busy with all of the lease signings he has today. Well, I don't see any reason to return to this place. What a shame.

My family and I moved to the Crossings from Manhattan in 2011, and as a discriminating New York personality, I can tell you that it's wonderful. Coming from a New York apartment community, I could keep you reading all day long about my daily battles to submit the simplest of maintenance requests; here at the Crossings, the staff made my family and me feel welcome and respected from the start, and not in that "salesperson" way - they are sincerely warm and take a personal investment and pride in this community. As a current resident with nothing more to buy, that makes me feel truly at *home* here.

I enjoyed living at the Crossings. The apartments were very nice and the management office was responsive to any issues that arose (we had a problem with a closet door not opening properly, and they fixed it that day). The clubhouse and amenities are also very nice. If I had to change one thing, I ask for the the clubhouse to be open later on Monday and Tuesdays.

This is a nice place to live. If you take NJ Transit along the Northeast Corridor, it's fantastic. An easy walk from the apartment to the train. The apartments are nice -- new with new appliances, new carpet, new bath. We have a HUGE soaking bathtub. There is some construction noise because there are buildings still underway; this will bother some people more than others. The gym, pool, and business center are all nice. Elissa and David in the office are great to work with.

Overall living at the Crossings has been a good experience (June 2013-Present). Definitely better than the Mews at Princeton Junction was last year. I like that the Crossings is literally walking distance to the train station (3-4 minute walk) because I use the train 2-3 times per week. The grounds are always kept as clean as they can be considering construction is going on (if you're looking for a quiet place... this is not it YET because they are constantly doing construction 24/7 building this place up). There's also noise from the train and a police gun range that's near by. I got unlucky with some loud neighbors on top of me two who seem to have stomping sessions every saturday morning. The pool is great (resort style) and I like that there's a grill next to it for residents to use. The community center is super nice/luxurious, however you can't rent it out for parties which was a bummer. I found that I never used the movie theatre or the pool table/card tables (they close too early on the week days). I used the business center and the gym quiet often however (they're open 24/7). The apartment itself (2 bedroom/2 bath New Yorker) is nice and spacious. The appliances are NOT stainless steel like in the model apartment, but the granite countertops are the same. It's nice having washer/dryer in the unit. Overall I'm not sure if it's worth $1975/month (and rent is on the rise!), but its definitely better value than the Mews at Princeton Junction (what an expensive dump!!!). The front office staff are friendly, but a little spacey at times. Deal with Elissa Feintuch.. she's always on point and knows what she's doing.

I lived at the Crossings for 3 years and never had any major issues with the exception of my carpet needing to be stretched. When I called on this I was told my furniture was to heavy. At this point I was looking to move so I never pressed the issue. This did become an issue when I moved out. Maintenance was good and office staff was nice. The Property Managers were always leaving. I believe that two left while I was living there and the new property manager that started when I left 2 years ago is already gone. I noticed a lot of reviews with a 5 star rating but need to point out that the staff will ask you to go in and post a positive review. Pay close attention to the reviews regarding your security deposit. It is absolutely true that they will nickel and dime you for everything. I was charged for carpet, light bulbs and various other things to the tune of approximately $800.00. I left a beautiful vanity above the toilet that I paid close to $200 dollars for that matched the sink vanity perfectly. There are no medicine cabinets or linen closets in the 1 bedroom so this was definitely needed. I was charged $50.00 to have it removed. I was not charged for a toilet seat but I think its disgusting that they don't automatically change that when someone new moves in. I was the first one to live in my unit so this was not an issue. Every other apartment I lived in the toilet seat was wrapped in a protective covering when I moved in. Once again to be fair living at the Crossing was not an unpleasant experience and maintenance was good. The grounds were always kept nice. Need to point out that they didn't want the dumpster ruining the appearance of the property so you had to walk a distance to put out your garbage and the dumpster was usually swarming with flies. Was not pleasant in the winter when it was cold, snowing or raining. You will not mind living at the crossing but be prepared to have a high move out fee. Also when you see management responding to call and discuss calling will get you no resolution.

I've lived at the Crossings Apartments for almost 5 months now. So far, it's been a very positive experience and I have mostly really good things to say. Reading the other reviews has been a little surprising - I thankfully have not been bothered AT ALL by the construction. I strategically chose to live in Building 8, which is pretty far from the construction, so that's probably why I have been so lucky. Here are some of the many characteristics I covet about this place: 1) Apartments are new, clean, spacious, luxurious 2) Appliances are modern and work great. The apt came with everything i need - washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, oven 3) Club house is awesome - good gym and sweet poker tables! 4) Staff is very friendly, genuine, and accommodating 5) Noise has been minimal; I can barely tell I have neighbors 6) The development is safe and the buildings are secure 7) The ability to walk to the train station in 7 minutes and jump on a train to NY has been extremely convenient Here are a couple of things I don't like, for the sake of fair balance: 1) The bedroom and living room do not have ceiling lighting, which is pretty lame 2) The bathroom does not have a medicine cabinet and the counter space is limited 3) I would have preferred covered parking, but at least parking space is ample I pretty much love everything else. And to all the losers who are going to take the time out to respond to this and accuse me of lying, I am an actual resident and not management. I definitely recommend this place!

Others have highlighted the positives, I would like to round out the experience. Here is what you all can expect living here: 4:00-4:30 AM...dumpsters get emptied 5:00-6:00 AM...portapotties get cleaned out 5:00-7:00 AM...building supplies/materials get delivered 6:30AM-7:00PM..construction takes place...this includes Mon-Sat, some Sun, and all holidays 9:00AM-10:00PM..outdoor police gun range is active just on the fringe of complex Noise is a significant problem and a disruption to my family's lives here. We get no sleep, no peace, and no quiet time between 10 PM and 4 AM on most days. It's a beautiful place with spacious apartments, but it's unfortunate that management cannot improve the lives of those living here. We have been forced to confront the construction crews because management cannot resolve the issues. The focus is on rushing to get more tenants.

I love living here! It is such a beautiful property and I have met some really nice people here. I come to breakfast on Sundays (they offer it on Saturdays too) very often and speak to other residents. I see other speaking about the construction noise but I do not hear it. When I toured the property I saw the construction going on and saw the site plan which shows other buildings being built. So the people complaining about the construction should not have moved onto a construction site. The clubhouse is beautiful, my parents were here last weekend and I showed them around and they agreed!! The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful! Jasmine always greets me with a smile when I walk in the door, Elisa is always being personable and speaks to me when I come in, Ralphael (guy at night) assisted me with the big screen tv which was very helpful, and Dave is very nice too. I had great conversation with all of the staff. My apartment is beautiful and very spacious, it even has a dishwasher! Yes the dishwasher was going to be a make it or break it for me! If you are looking to meet some people in the complex then you should come to breakfast on the weekends, trust me everyone is friendly and if you do not know how to start conversation the staff will help, I was a little shy at first and the staff kind of brought me into conversation with some residents.

This is not a full review. The place is not bad, considering the rent, one should expect that. The worst thing is that they are constructing more buildings and they have no regard for the comfort of their current residents. The construction is going on 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday! There are occasional activity even on Sundays! I remember being told that this will not start in less than a year, and they will only work on normal business hours and not on the weekends, I could have been more undestanding if I was not misinformed. I also discussed that with one of the staff, but there was no comment. Another issue is the street lights, they are too bright and not covered on top. So, they illuminate your bedroom along with the street. It is a shame because not being in the city, I would expect less light pollution and being able to see the stars at night. They told me they will look into that but we will see. If you like waking up at 7am with the noise of hammering, construction vehicles etc, and if you dont like peaceful, quite weekends, this place is perfect for you.

We have nothing but great things to say about The Crossings. All the staff has been helpful above and beyond. We had some appliance problems when we moved in, and they were all addressed immediately. It is the ONLY apartment complex in the area (that we know of) that has 2 B/R and a den. Compared to the top end in Princeton, the closet space here is bountiful. The layout is exceptionally functional. We came here expecting a short stay, having moved from a 2800 S/F house. It has been such a great experience that we're not going anywhere. The construction complaints are for the most part accurate. But, it is CONSTRUCTION! We are early risers and therefore aren't bothered at all. The complex must be built and the sooner it is completed the better it will be for all. It is going to be beautiful when it's finished. The nearness to the train is fabulous. We go into NY far more frequently than we did when we lived 20 minutes away. Maybe that doesn't seem logical, but that's the way it is. As far as the police range is concerned, we have lived here since last Dec. and have only heard it a few times. Actually, we kind of like to have law enforcement nearby. All in all, the advantages of living here exponentially outweigh the negatives.

It's interesting what the complex Management obviously posted in the last review.... -What about the construction that starts before 7am? Everyday, every weekend, including holidays (July 4th)! What about the porta-potty cleaner that arrives between 5-5:30am as the other tenant mentions below and wakes the entire complex? What about the shooting range that the management "claims" they were not aware of? Goes on all day long and sometimes until after 10pm? My children can't sleep! What about the fact there have been 5 (YES, 5) property managers since the complex opened? What about the fact that appliances aren't working when these apartments are NEW construction? What about the outside lighting that keeps tenants awake at night? What about the fact that you see more people moving out than moving in? Overall, the noise is unacceptable with the construction, police shooting range, etc. The fact that there has NEVER been one point person at this property is more than disturbing, it reflects a poorly run environment and community. TO MANAGEMENT: Landscaping is great, do we need it to be done every day? Do we need mulch to be delivered and spread by a truck at 8am on a Sunday? Do we need more plants? Do we need more landscapers weedwacking around the porta-john on the construction site? You tell me.

We have lived here since It first opened. We absolutely love being here! Having the train within walking distance (maybe 10 minute walk) as given us the freedom to suddenly decide to go to NY for dinner, visiting family, etc. It is so much nicer than making that drive! Also, when we travel we can get on the train in Hamilton and get off at Newark airport. Couldn't be any easier. You can also take the train to PHL but hat does involve changes. The apartment itself is spacious! Before downsizing we had looked at many "luxury" apartments. Apparently the word is often used loosely! Not here. Besides the roominess of our living sace the complex offers so many amenities. Pool, barbecue grill, pool table, card room, weekend breakfasts), a movie theater (bring your DVDs and watch with friends n comfort), and a 24 hour access to th gym and to the business center (great for business meetings and for quiet studying). The staff is attentive and friendly. The apartments and the grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. No complaints at all!

The apartment is beautiful, spacious, and well-planned. There are ample windows and wide hallways within the unit. The common areas are well kept and look like the corridors in a hotel. The in-unit laundry room is fantastic. The main problems with this complex lie in the fact that you will be living on a very active and intrusive construction site. The units should NOT have been rented out when they face a construction site. 1. The dumpsters and port-o-johns are cleaned out at an obscene hour (between 4:30 AM and 5:45 AM). Management moved the dumpsters to the far end of the property, but you still hear the garbage trucks early in the morning. 2. There is a shooting range within 200 yards of the complex behind the clubhouse. Be prepared to hear nonstop shooting when cops are re-certifying. It begins at 8 AM and can go until 10 PM. 3. Construction cannot be more disruptive. It begins with the crew's arrival at 6:45 AM (Monday through Saturday) and lasts until nearly 6 PM. The crews work on holidays too. You will hear car/truck horns, back-up beeping, guys screaming to one another, saws, trucks idling, and nail guns all day. You will hear heavy equipment and see it driven haphazardly all day. (One worker knocked knocked over a street lamp with a lull.) You will hear the 11 AM lunch truck as he blares his horn around the complex to get the construction workers' attention. Building materials are delivered at all hours, between 5 AM and late afternoon. 4. The pool is frequented by people not from the complex, despite the badge policy. 5. The construction workers will block your car in. 6. Deliveries are very difficult. The complex needs to work with map and GPS providers to get its streets searchable. I've lived in a city just down the street from a hospital and heard ambulances all through the night, and never was it as disruptive to one's life as at this complex. The complex is more concerned with filling units than they are of the peace of the tenants already in place. It will be a nice complex...once it is complete.

Construction noise, nails on the road for tires, construction areas messy, taking up parking- all true. Gym- half tvs now don't work and equipment isn't maintained. DEPOSIT- a normal place does a walk through and gives you a list and prefers to deliver their checks in line with the 30 day minimum....The Crossing rather you sue them for double damages for late payment and charging you for a bunch of stuff they never put on a punch list. ----- she's the epitome of attractive brainless people that like to think they know everything but have the brain capacity of an inch worm. ----------- and eventually being crappy to your good employees will have Kharma with the owner as will being crappy to your tenants when they leave....

The complex is new, good amenities and conveniently located for NYC train commuters but overall disappointing. Wouldnt recommend this place especially because of some steps that management has taken. 1. Construction noise: they have extensive construction going on as they are still building out the complex. They start construction at 7am Monday-Saturday and will also do construction from 9am on Sundays. I complained about the weekend noise but management isnt going to do anything about it as they obviously want to build as fast as possible. There were also instances where they had construction starting as early as 6.30am (which is against county rules) and that stopped only after I toke a picture and showed it to the management office. 2. Trash compactors: They only have 2 compactors near the rental units and have placed it where it suits them best for their construction purposes, ignoring whats convenient for residents. The compacter from my unit is 4 buildings away (i.e have to walk 2 blocks to throw trash). When I complained to management, they claimed they moved it because residents in my unit had complained of the garbage truck noise. Clearly a lie as its no conincidence that this compactor was near construction. When I asked if residents in other units had complained about the noise for the compactors near their buildings (where there is no construction), he said no and tried to claim that only my unit had complained. When I pushed him and told him that they have obviously done it primarily due to construction reasons, he admitted that and but said there is nothing they will do about that. Also this isnt a short term move only during construction - its permanently moved. Poorly planned. 3. Street lights (again poorly planned) - the street lights are so poorly planned as they are placed only 6-8 feet from the building. As result, there is excessive light beamed straight into the bedrooms. Even with the blinds down, you can pretty much see everything in your room. While having powerful lights is good as the area is lit, it should obviously have been planned better that so that they aren't placed so close to the building. Its the worst if you are on the 2nd or 3rd floor. I've lived in NYC for 5 years but if you're living in the suburbs, you wouldnt expect this.

Great choice!
We chose The Crossings because of the WALKING DISTANCE to the train station. My wife commutes to Philadelphia and I commute to NYC for work, and we could not beat this location at this price! It is less than a 10-minute walk to the train, which saves us money on gas and parking. We were also suprised to be able to find brand new apartments (granite counter tops, beautiful wood cabinets, hardwood floors, high ceilings, walk-in closet, new appliances) this close to the train at this price. We're enjoying the clubhouse and the amenities and have found the other tennants to be really nice and considerate. We have not had any trouble with noise, which was important to us. We would absolutely recommend The Crossings!

I cant believe I found a place like this in Hamilton! It is amazing! They even have a Movie theater in the clubhouse!! and a poker, billiards game room! the fitness center is huge with everything I need plus free weights for my husband! He takes the train to the city for work and saves 3 hrs a day in traffic!! Our apartment is gorgeous too!!! I would totally recommend this place if you're looking to live in a nice, clean, brand new luxury community. 15 minutes to Princeton and 2 minutes to the train station!
