Element at Carolina Bay was our home for the past two years. Our two bedroom apartment was spacious, comfortable and well maintained. Management and staff were outstanding. They always kept us informed of events and the numerous activities, as well as always quickly responding to questions or concerns. It's a great location and attractive area. As older adults, a safe, peaceful neighborhood was important to us. And that's exactly what we enjoyed while living at Element. There's a nice mix of folks like us together with younger families and professionals living there. We can unreservedly recommend Element at Carolina Bay as a great place to live in Charleston, SC.

Elements is great, being military and moving to new place can be hard, but the the office was great and aided me in everything I needed. The area is beautiful and safe. After choosing online I couldnt be more happy with the area and amenities!

The Element at Carolina Bat apartments are very well located. But they are not luxury apartments. Staff is always kind, and try to but but cant always be helpful. Overall experience is good, neighbors are great. Like the social events they put together.

Aesthetically, it is a really pretty apartment complex. I enjoy laying by the pool at times and love having the fitness center here. The grounds are kept clean except for outside of our apartment and sometimes I see many dead and alive palmetto bugs in the fitness center which is unpleasant. The area outside of our apartment can accumulate a lot of bugs and dead mosquitoes in the summer especially and goes without being cleaned often. People and the staff are friendly. If you come back late in the evening, parking can be a challenge. My biggest issue with living here has been the amount of palmetto bugs we get in our apartment. Its disgusting to wake up to those or have them crawl on you when you are sleeping!

Moving from the North East to South Carolina during a pandemic was nerve wracking, to say the least. We chose Element Carolina Bay online and did a virtual tour of a unit similar to ours, but not our unit. Our leasing agent, Tara made the process so much easier. We were a bit nervous about how the unit would be when we arrived, but we were so incredibly happy with what we have. The amount we get for the price is incredible.

Enjoyed our stay at ECB so far, good amenities and safe neighborhood. Would suggest ECB management to think about putting up toddler area or playground around the car wash station. I believe lot of community members would appreciate having such toddler area for kids to play.

Element is prompt in handling any concerns and is a great place to live. My dog loves the dog park and everyone is friendly. Maintenance does a fantastic job of getting to matters quickly and efficiently.

Great feeling community that lives up to its hype. The amenities are fantastic and are no additional cost in the rent. The staff and maintenance team are very responsive and professional. And the apartments themselves are well laid out and quite clean and new looking. I highly recommend.

ECB has been an amazing place to call home! The team is so bubbly and always willing to help in whatever way possible. When my fiancé and I initially decided on ECB we were welcomed with open arms and it has been the same since.

Love living here. Great and safe community. Out off all the apartments I toured this was the only one I truly felt at home at. Would not trade it for the world. Fair pricing with great amenities and close to everything you could need.

The staff & maintenance crew are excellent, couldn't ask for better. The amenities are also excellent. I wish the valet trash service was optional (or not at all). My neighbors don't follow the rules, they don't use the container, leave more than allotted bags outside their doors. It isn't worth the expense. I've reported it (with photos) but they continue to not follow the rules. Also on my walks I often see dog poop & cigarettes left out & about.

Please find somewhere else to live. The apartment was dirty when I moved in. There have been bugs since I moved in. There are never any parking spots anywhere near my building. Even after overpaying for a mediocre apartment for months they figure out ways to steal money from you when you leave. Just don't do it.

I am just mind blown at the lack of attention or care to this neighborhood after a major storm. Not a tree limb, leaf, shingle or 50 ft gutter has been picked up at element. I have driven all over town to see people have already cleaned up and not a single thing has been done where i live. it's embarrassing and it shows how much this team cares about the way it looks. they spent so much time opening the pool back up that they have completely neglected he 50 ft gutter on the ground simply blowing off sidewalks or the street or the random tree branches thrown across every green space. i get that the office was closed for a few days but come on show some kind of attention to our home. It has been three days and no clean up effort even attempted. sad.

Try somewhere else. This "luxury" apartment complex is swarming in palmetto bugs and ants. When you make a complaint to the office they'll tell you you have to wait until they come out on Wednesday. Staff is friendly until one of them tells you something another doesn't agree with. Get everything in writing! You can't sublease your apartment or sign over the lease to someone else plus you have to put in a 60 day notice plus 2 months rent if you need to leave so if you get a better job offer elsewhere I hope you can pay rent in two places. Absolutely ridiculous. Go somewhere better.

The only problem was when I accidentally paid my rent twice in the same month. They charged me a fee for doing so. Even after I called the property manager and explained the situation, she didn't seem to care and still made me pay a fee. I have paid my rent on time every month and made one mistake by paying twice in one month. It's a fee that can be easily waived, but she still refused to do so.

Element at Carolina Bay is an amazing place to live! If I weren't moving out of state, I definitely would not be moving out. The amenities in the community are unlike any other apartment complex! One of my favorite aspects of Element is that they have 2 very nice, well-shaded, fenced in dog parks as well as a pet washing station in the community (and the pet washing station is always stocked with name brand dog shampoo!). The clubhouse is also a really awesome amenity as it has a Starbucks coffee/hot chocolate machine as well as 4 Mac desktops and a printer for residents to use. However, with all that being said, if I had to choose, my absolute favorite thing about living at Element it would be the location/community. Even though Element is an "apartment complex", I definitely don't feel as though I am living in a typical apartment. The complex is inside of the Carolina Bay community which is a very upscale community of houses and town homes (when I say very upscale, I mean upscale as in I personally know an Orthopedic Surgeon who lives in Carolina Bay) so this isn't your typical neighborhood where just anything goes! This means that I can walk my dog around the complex and community and we can walk for miles without ever being on a major highway or ever leaving the community! In addition to that, there are also multiple trails and well-maintained walking paths that go alongside the ponds and through some of the nature conservation areas! Also, because Carolina Bay is an upscale community, the whole neighborhood is immaculate and extremely well taken care of! Living in this type of community, in my opinion, adds a certain level of security & safety that 99% of the other apartment complexes in Charleston just can't offer. I am a 27 year old woman who lives here alone and I can honestly say I have never once felt unsafe or uncomfortable living here and that says a lot about this community and neighborhood. Enough about the amenities though, the true gem of the Element is its office staff, specifically Nina! Nina is an incredible Community Manager and she will go above and beyond to help anybody! I have never seen her without a smile on her face and she has never been too busy to stop and help me with something when I needed it. Early one morning last week she was even standing at the entrance of the complex, handing out warm Chick-Fil-A biscuits to residents who were on their way to work! I mean come on...it doesn't get any better than that! I've read all of the negative reviews on here and I can honestly say that either those people were impossible to please or maybe they just simply chose not to get out and take advantage of all of the awesome opportunities and amenities here. Either way, it's their loss!

I've been living here for quite awhile now and it has been the WORST!!. The staff upfront has no kind of communication towards each other, I can't speak for everybody but I know from some of my neighbors and myself they have poor communication with us also. They send irrelevant emails and leave out all the important things. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.

I love this community! The staff is great and the maintenance team are awesome! The grounds are beautiful, I love my floorplan, I would highly recommend this community to anyone! I plan to reside here for quite some time!
