Gary is very busy, although he is super busy, he makes sure to fix things such as a Crack in tub, popcorn ceiling that is falling down, or a Crack in the pipe under the sink. The jobs are done quickly. We <3 Gary.

    Maintenance KINGS

    Had an issue with my dryer over the weekend. Gary and Tarrant were at my apartment Monday ready to fix the problem. They communicated with me the entire time, fixed my issue quick, and left zero evidence they were ever even in my apartment (other than a fixed dryer and my service request completion). We love quick, clean, helpful men ?? Gary and Tarrant are the Kings of Claypond.

      Always pleased with my results

      I have lived here for a year and I have been pleased with the service I have received from the office staff and the maintenance staff. They have all been pleasant, and very responsive. I signed a new lease because I was so happy with my results

          [Incentivized Review] Gary was great fixed everything . Fixed dryer , water heater , ceiling & tightened the pipes ! Gary was such a great help . Gary didn’t complain about 1 thing he asked what we needed done and got right to it !

            Great Maintenance team and company.

            I woke this morning to a leak underneath my kitchen sink. I made a service maintenance request, and it was resolved quickly and professionally. Gary and JB even cleaned up the stagnant me since I was so sensitive to the smell without hesitation. Thank you guys. I appreciate you guys.

              Quick Turnaround

              I experienced a problem with a leaking pipe under my kitchen sink. I submitted my maintenance request and received a quick response. The issue was corrected fast. JB was efficient and very polite. I appreciate the great customer service.

                JB and Gary are Great!!

                I have lived here almost 2 years and Gary and JB are the best mantience team this complex has had!! They not only work hard to maintain the complex but they care about their residents. Greatful to have these two around!

                  Replacement of air filter

                  Thank you for sending Gary and Jb to change the air filter. They were prompt and courteous as well as helpful. We also appreciated the reserve parking which was so needed for us that was painted in a professional manner by both of these skilled workers.

                    Maintenance guy Gary is the boss at what he does

                    My GCI went out and the maintenance guy Gary was very swift and efficient with making sure everything was perfect. He even showed me what to do in case it went out again, Kudos to Gary for everything he does in the community!!

                          Save yourself

                          Stay away!!!! I rented a storage from these people, they moved in someone else into my storage, claim to have been told it was not being rented, the new person who moved in the storage filled with someone else's stuff decided to take what they wanted and throw the other stuff away, when I went to ask about my stuff, Kelley decided to call the police(she was sure to tell them my skin color and where I was from) luckily, I recorded the entire ordeal as she was telling lies that I was acting loud and boisterous. I was told 3 different story by these people and they refuse to provide a telephone number for their corporate office. I was told that there was nothing that can be done, me and my parents birth certificate and basically my stuff from when I was a baby was in the storage, to make matters worst, I took a picture which shows the stuff the new person took and a week later he returned 2 items....... they don't care cause the stuff that was returned was placed on the outside like I didn't just lose my life belongings.....my loss means nothing to them. I won't even begin to talk about roaches and continous issues with the apartment. I will be sure to upload pictures and videos and other stuff later

                            Assistant manager

                            Most of the staff is very helpful and try and rectify any issues we’ve had, accept the assistant manager Shane. He is very confrontational and condescending. He treated my wife and I like we were animals. The apartment we were supposed to get was not available at the time Shane moved us in, he basically told us if we didn’t like it we could break the lease and be charged with all kinds of fees. We later spoke to Jennifer the manager and she was much more helpful. The place definitely needs work, and the price is to high for a 2nd rate property.

                              Government should shut them down

                              High rent to live in the slums. No exaggeration, just take a walk around the entire complex. Garbage EVERYWHERE and dog feces. That's just a g)itself of what you get on the inside. FILTHY and UNSANITARY! Oh and loaded with roaches. If you care about cleanilness and your health, this isn't the place for you! It's all about the money an to hell with you!

                                I am a current resident and not only is the rent too high for this place, the grounds are not kept up, there's dog piles everywhere, and management is so unprofessional I have had several run ins with the manager Kelley Fur, who isn't just 2-faced, but a liar, she's rude and chooses certain residents to intentionally go out of her way to harass. If she put as much effort into her job as she did harassing the residents, maybe just maybe there would be some hope in this place. Last time I checked this is an apartment complex and not a prison like she tries to run it as. All the utilities inside the apartments are old and out dated not worth wasting your money here! And you have to pay Claypond a fee of almost $1400 when YOU are moving out ... bunch of thieves

                                  I was at the park with my children and family while visiting a resident. The resident was in their home for a few short minutes when Kelly Fur, property manager, approached us very aggressively. She asked if we lived there and we said no but we had permission from a resident to use the park area, she kicked us out and was extremely rude and snobby as we left the park. There were sharp pieces of wood scattered on the floor. Trash and dog poop everywhere. It was a horrible experience. Kelly was beyond rude to my family. We will never return and the resident who we visited will be moving out. Do not recommend this place!

                                    Neighborhood just doesn't feel safe. They have "courtesy patrol" but they never answer, and most likely never check the answering machine. New management thinks they're an HOA, and that's chased all the good people away.

                                      This has been my home for 2 years now. They have new office staff which I love to see, personality plus and they care about us as residents, always a bright cheerful face. The improvements have been numerous and the feel of community is here. Maintenance is timely and efficient. I recommend this Claypond Commons to everyone.

                                        I moved in several years ago I've seen several different office staff but they have a new Manager that started end of last year. Kelley is awesome. She cares about the property, residents and takes the time to listen. If she says she is going to do it, she does. This place is a wonderful place to live. They have activities, a community watch program and a sweet treat Tuesday. I'll be here for many years if she stays!!!

                                          You better keep ALL of your receipts and make plenty of copies because they will try and rip you off and tell you that you haven't paid when you clearly have (though, even with proof, they will refuse to look at it even when you repeatedly try and show them). They will pretty much call you a liar in the office even with proof in hand. When you ask them to send the proof to corporate they refuse to. Tell you there is no point. They will also give u NO notice what so ever that there is a "problem" and then around 4 months later you will receive the notice to vacate in 24 hours for nonpayment. On a side note this place is not worth 900 for a ONE bedroom, YES 900 FOR ONE BEDROOM. No ceiling fans, no lights in the bedroom,, oven and toilet broke and getting maintenance in here before dozens of requests to fix stuff is a nightmare. Heck it took a month for my fridge to get fix when I moved in. Lost food because of them taking forever to fix it. Would definitely NOT recommend this place. And no I am not calling to discuss my issues. Have already done that and it got me no where. Luckily I am out of here into a better and CHEAPER place to live....paying more money is not always better . Sometimes the cheaper place is better....go figure lol.

                                            I absolutely love living out here it's very nice, safe , quiet and very NEAT I love the managers they are all sweet and caring and this is the best place I ever stayed to I came from Darlington to go to coastal and they all welcome me in I definitely recommend Claypond to anybody that's looking for a decent home.

                                              Things are really changing here. The property got a new manager a few months back, and she is really making changes for the better. Denise is working very hard to correct issues that had been ignored in the past. Major building repairs that had been overlooked previously are being made as quickly as possible, issues with the dog park has been corrected, and the grounds are getting water and drainage problems repaired. Denise has also proven that she listens to and resolves non-repair problems that residents may have. This is definitely is a place that is every thing it advertises itself to be.

                                                We moved in we had used spray painted fridge.two pounds of grease my wife had to clean from top of cupboards.patched up living room rug.big yellow stain on bedroom rug.mold around glass sliding door to porch.bathroom sink loose.white floors that had so much wax build up and dirt they never came clean.dents in linoleum.screen that didn't fit Windows.hardly no cupboard space.we had to take apartment unseen because we moved from the north.they told us they were cleaning it for us.disgusting patch job around base of toilet.they give you a paper when you move in to list what's wrong in apartment which we did we thought they do something about things but all we got was new screens in window.their was a murder here.there were drug dealing going on all thru summer of 2015,then they had a drug raid.found needles and syringe around pond.complain to office but they always working on it.alot of turn over in office.dog poop all over the grounds.they say you get a fine but don't enforce.they say they are breed restrictive.but tons of pit bulls.dogs off leash that are not suppose to be.dog park unusable over one year unless you want to sink in mud..it's a transient community turn over all the time no one stays to long.when we moved here we wanted to retire here.but the second year the rent amounts they want to raise you is outrageous considering they do nothing to improve your apartment.they are remodeling now they claim but only when you move out.the wear and tear of floors over the years need to be updated but if you ask they want to raise your rent and extra 80.00. A month.right next to us two folks moved in nice people lived hard life's .full of bug bites they had bug bites all over their bodies which they told us and others they were from bed bugs where they use to live.their living habits are not of normalcy.they have many guest who move in.their guest go door to door asking for drugs,money and blankets.they have several families moving in and out.the guest are always asking for favors help with broken down cars.we told office they said certain people will never be allowed here.but they did not follow thru.all kinds strangers in hallways at night smoking cigarettes drinking beer.you have to go by them to go out.for us it's like opening our front door right into the red light district.alot more but my honesty is sincere.the office personal is nice they give you a hopeful smile and say they are working on it.but nothing changes.you can have all kinds of people move in pitch in in for rent and have a hoedown.while others are paying their rent and pet fees.why can't we all be allowed to have all our friends move in and get cheap rent.it says it's not allowed in lease but it's allowed and us idiots are following rules.after talking to new office manager about this review we will say that the murder was what was going around community so it could of been hairsay.but everything else was honesty.we know that their is all new staff and they say they are going to be cleaning the place up and making alot of changes.i am not blaming anybody that works here now it was the other staff that was allowing these things to go on.and the new manager is going to renovate apartments now so no one will have to move in to something we moved in to.so we are hopeful that future residents get a better experience .we are not staying .we appreciate her reaching out to us and what she will do for the future of claypond commons.and she has put a new system in dog park and hopefully it works.

I am very sorry to hear that you have not had a positive living experience at Claypond Commons and would really like the opportunity to speak to you in greater detail. I have only been the community manager at Claypond Commons since December of last year but I have worked for our management company for two years. At Hawthorne Residential Partners we pride ourselves on giving each resident a positive living experience, this community is your home and we want everyone to have a positive experience. Our community does have a wide range of different upgrade packages that we are able to do that our ownership have given approval on, including changing out carpet or vinyl if needed, but in most cases there will be an additional rent increase for such new features. Our community has strict guideline with qualifications and we run background checks on all lease holders and occupants of legal age. Unfortunately, crime can happen anywhere at any time. We do closely follow the rules and regulations outlined in the South Carolina Apartment Association lease agreement when anyone fails to comply with the rules and even file eviction if necessary. I can assure you there has never been a murder at our community.                                                   Claypond Commons Is in a great location. It's close to all major grocery store, the mall, and entertainment.
