Not bad - decent property for the $$
Lived there 9 months (Jan 07 - Sept 07). It's in a convenient location. Quiet enough - no loud music and never heard anything thru the walls, parking lot or commons area. Management was decent and responsive to requests. Would NOT(!) recomment living there if you need to work/go towards beach (Hwy 17 or Myrtle Beach) during season because tourist & worker traffic would be unbearable. Could be difficult to find a parking spot close to apt. Mostly 20 somethings, people attending Golf School and -------- workers. No too many familys around. Finally, **Warning** this place is a mile from the being built Hard Rock Park which will make it an absolute Zoo when it comes to traffic; park is supposed to open June/July of 2008 and be as busy as a Carowinds/Six Flags park.

not the best
I lived there from Jan 2004 to April 2005. The maintnence men have no clue how to fix anything. We had a water line break in the apartment diagnal from us and it leaked into the apartment next to us. Our entire apartment flooded and it took over 7 hours for the management staff to get there. We called them at 2:30am and the old woman that runs the place finally showed up at around 9am. I demanded to have our lease broken (we were leaving in a month anyway) and if she didnt break it, the only thing they offered us (due to the water damage) was to give us $300 to rent a moving company or a truck to move us into another apartment. Finally they broke the lease and we moved out the same day. There were breakins, car alarms CONSTANTLY, and simple maintence tasks were not done. They would put it off for days. Our A/C was broken and would stay on no matter what degree we put it on.

totally agree
i am a resident of claypond commons and am terminating my lease early to move from this area. They are building a new complex approximately 100 yards from my bedroom window and the noises of hammering, bulldozers, and sawing wake me up every morning at 7 am. The pool area is disgusting, the apartments are infested with "palmetto bugs", and as far as trying to get something repaired forget it. Also, that area is not somewhere I recommened being out at night. I will never rent from there again.
CLAYPOND COMMONS = TERRABLE
THE TIME I LIVED THERE{15 MONTHS} WAS THE WORSET TIME OF MY LIFE. THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE( MAGAMENT) WERE NOT NICE OR FRIENDLY. AND THE MAINTANCE CREW WERE VERY UNTRUSTWORTHY.THEN UPON MOVING OUT THINGS JUST SEEMED TO GET WORSE, THEY ALSO SCREWED US ON ALL OF OUR DEPOIST. i WOULDN'T WISH LIVING THERE TO ANYONE!!!

TRAP
This place is nothing but a trap that tries to get every penny they can from their customers this place is full of drug dealers and criminals. Cars are being broken into nightly and with a high robbery in the apartment complex´s. The management is a old lady that is a scam artist I highly recommend this is the last place to move into

100% satified
I moved in here around the same time that the new management company took over. When I first moved here I was not happy with alot of things but this property has improved 110%. I am a single parent and I feel very secure living on a ground floor. The office staff really cares about their residents needs and maintence is quick to get on any requests I have. They are always willing to take time to listen to anything I have to say.I really feel like part of a family here.

happy
I was very happy with the property and office personel. I would of never moved but I bought a house. I was told by several people not to go there but gave them a shot. I was more then pleased with their prompt and professional work. I´m not sure if they were telling me about the same property but I didn´t have any of the problems I was told to look out for.

This place is horrible
At first I was really happy with the complex and I really thought it was nice ... for my first year I was in a studio in the building where the office is ... and then I moved into a one bedroom in a different building. That´s where I made the mistake .. since I have been in this building it´s like nothing is taken care of, ciggarette butts are all over the place and the exit sign fell down like a month ago ... and they still havn´t put it up .. it´s still on the floor. It´s horrible ... it really is. I believe it´s mostly students out here so it´s really noisy and it´s like no one does anything about it. I know the manager can here the noise ... she lives here too ... but nothing is done. If I would have known this place was like this I would have NEVER moved here. Look somewhere else before you come here .. it´s not worth the money.

This place is a JOKE
DON´T MOVE HERE, People are moving out of this place in the middle of the night. Nothing has ever been corrected the first or second time the office has been notified. YOu wont get your deposit back, they give you all kinds of reasons, from the carpet needs to be cleaned by a profesional, the Kitchen floor was in bad shape, Hate to tell ya but I moved into a new Unit, The company that built this never swept the floor before installing the kitchen and bath floors. This is just the start of all there crap. PLEASE THINK ABOUT ANOTHER LOCATION.

Not what you think
If you have ever been by this complex it looks "Nice" But just wait until you sign your lease. The Management here is NON-Existent !! And if you ever really need them just give up. They will lie and tell you that they never receivied your request. (and there is only two people in the office) I have to send everything by fax and letter now. I will not be living here much longer. Parking is a JOKE at best. and the Managers boss is also a friend. If your thinking of living here, I can guarantee it will be a the worst mistake ever made. I have been told by other residents that they have left there apartments in excellent condition, and have never receieved there deopsit back, I have seen these apartments, and they look new. So PLEASE, PLEASE Think twice.

do not move here
The manager of rental office is the worst one I have ever had to deal with, as long as i have been renting apartments. They refuse to help you with problems, they dont return phone calls and when you finally get them on the phone they dont take care of your concerns. I work at night and at least 2 times a month, they have used there keys to enter my apartment with out giving the proper 24 hour notice. The pest control people also have keys and come when they want. No notice is ever given, during the 9 months i have lived here they have given maybe 2 notices of intent to enter my apartment. These apartments are mostly filled with college kids and can get quite noisey.

Dont move here the management and apartments suck
The management company comes into your apartment when ever they want to without giving notice. Also the pest control people walk into your apartment with out any notice, they dont even knock just walk in. The apartments have mostly younger people in them who are really loud and noisy and when you complain management they refuse to do anything. There are cigarette butts and beer bottles all over the walkways and management refuses to do anything, they refuse to return your calls and laugh likes it is no big deal when you make a complaint, And when you try going over managements head, they dont care either they act like your complaints are no big deal, trust me nothing will get done if you complain THe management here is worthless. there is also never any parking here. with all the college kids partying with their friends, you never find a parking spot.

I DO NOT recommend this apartment complex!!!!!!!!!!
OF COURSE CLAYPOND COMMONS MAY LOOK NICE, BUT THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR TENANTS. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY ITS ALL OVER WITH!! AND YOU CAN JUST FORGET ABOUT GETTING YOUR DEPOSIT BACK EVEN IF THE APARTMENT IS SPOTLESS AND UNHARMED YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR DEPOSIT AGAIN!!!!!!!

they suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we lived there for 6 months and everything tore up. it was crap, they never wanted to fix anything and tried to blame us for it.
they also come in your apartment without your knowledge at least twice a month.
when we went to sign the lease it was a whole different story than what they had fed us from the start, they wanted us to pay professional carpet cleaners to do everyroom in order to get the deposit back and show the receipt for it!!! and they said that u couldnt do it yourself...
also there is alot of noisy neighbors and they dont do anything about them.

i suggest that u look else where for an apartment, it looks good at first but just wait and see.
