It’s a fairly nice community unless something breaks or needs repaired and that’s where majority of Avana Lexington’s problems are! The maintenance team is lazy and won’t fix the problem and management won’t hold them accountable. You’ll take the time to report the issue (work order) for it to be closed a month later without anyone even coming to look at the issue.

Living here is quite similar to other apartment experiences. You have noisy neighbors, which comes with the territory and very noisy maintenance, such as repainting. Requests are handled fairly quickly and the workers are almost always really nice.

I've lived here for a few years and have loved it! There are some ups and downs but I generally feel safe and happy living here. Everyone at the leasing office is very friendly and helpful when I need their help. The maintenance team is friendly and helpful too!

We have moved here for a month and so far very happy living here. Very high value for the price. We love the spacious, sun-filled rooms, new, stylish interior design. Community is safe and pleasant. Although we live close to main road, it is still very quite and peaceful throughout the day. The maintenance team is responsible to make sure everything works.

Avoid at all costs

In the past 2 years that I have lived here, my apartment building and another burned down and I have been dealing with a leak in my roof for 6 months. The night my apartment burned down, they had us sitting on the sidewalk outside the office until morning- they locked the door and turned off the phones so that nobody could contact them to get any answers. They have sent 2 contractors out to paint over the leaks in our ceiling that pour anytime it rains. We can not even use our kitchen at this point- all of our pots and pans are being used to catch dirty ceiling water after this bad storm. It takes weeks - sometimes months for them to start fixing any issues and if you don’t show up to the office to pester them about your needs, they just don’t get met. Expect to pay more than your lease(we pay more than $400 over)- or even better, just avoid this place at all costs.

My experience has been less than pleasant from start to 8 months in. I work in executive leadership for a healthcare facility and if this was my company I would make major adjustments to prevent my experience being the experience of others. Apologies do not mean anything if they are only met with apologies and not changed behavior. My apartment wasn’t ready to move in, My AC didn’t work, I didn’t get the flooring I asked for, my broken door wasn’t replaced for 6 months, I had appliances that didn’t work for months, a mouse lived here for three weeks, two men tried to break down my apartment door, and today a delivery was stolen from the front door. To the community staff: would you want this to be your experience? Or your daughter or sisters experience when living in a new state alone?

So far it has been good. Maintenance is perfect. The pool was closed a lot this year. Tenants do not pick up after dogs. It’s very clean and quiet. I love the layout of the apartment. I have no issues living here.

The quality of living has declined since I originally moved in back in 2019. 1/10, would NOT recommend moving to this apartment complex. This place is a façade and its looks are deceiving. The lack of corporate investment in the total upkeep of these older apartments has led to a series of serious and major structural issues. There is no corporate oversight or accountability, leading to serious onsite issues.

Don't get me wrong it isnt a terrible community. And I love that there is no dog breed restriction, but there needs to be a screening. Very aggressive dogs and owners who do not pick up after them. The community is riddled with dog waste. The apartment advertises their homes as "luxury" but that is not all of the units, most are old and outdated. My apartment was clearly NOT cleaned upon moving in and although I personally sprayed for bugs upon moving in, theres an infestation of roaches here. AND the floors were SO dirty. The neighbors themselves are pretty loud, like all of the time. But, for what you pay, its not the worst place in Bellevue to live.

My dishwasher has been out of commission for 2 weeks and there’s been no communication about when to expect a new one. I’ve been trying to get a key fob to the gym since I moved in. Front desk staff says there are none and I can’t access the gym. That’s frustrating. Otherwise quiet place; people keep to themselves.

I’m looking forward to renewing my lease. The communication from the property is always great. The curb appeal is always kept in good condition. I was lucky to get my lease renewed last year in the 2 11th hour. Sheena was great.

I really want to live this place, and a lot of it I do. The layout/ammenities (minus the gym because it is filthy and dangerous due to lack of maintinence). There are just so many things working against the beautiful location and space provided.

Maintenance is horrible! There are a lot of extra fees for things that I don’t need (trash and packaging drop off). The lights on half the buildings outside don’t work making it unsafe to walk at night.

Good apartment layout and outdoors. However, painful to deal with maintenance requests. I have been living in the apartment since I moved in without a lock to the balcony door and no one ever responded to that request. On a different note, even after discussing and mentioning that we would be a day late for turning on electricity when we got the keys due to logistics of staff availability we were charged 100$ immediately. But the same urgency is not present in adding the lock to the balcony or clean the apartment before we move in. The apartment cleaning was scheduled post us picking up the keys but the same rules were not followed in charging for electricity being turned on a day later. We had a safety incident where our car was broken intoand the solution was that we move to a new unit in the same apartment as this would be a "change in scenery".

The location is amazing. I love how peaceful and quiet the community is. Maintenance does a good job responding to urgent requests but takes a little longer for small requests. Every time I have gone in person to the leasing office I have been seen immediately, and the staff members are fantastic!

The community could be very nice given the location and what it looks like as an outsider but this property is not well kept. And is over priced for what you get. They have rats and other bug problems they don’t deal with in the regular. If the pools are shut down for a portion of the year due to weather we should not be charged for the pool use. The gym equipment needs to be repaired and replace the missing items. If theft is an issue get cameras that stay working.
