It is the most amazing place to live in irving. Transportation is good as bus stop n train station is in walking distance. The staffs here are very warm n friendly. It is the safest place in irving as crime is very low. And the lake makes it paradise.

We have been here for an year so far. Office personnel and every other workers of this community are too good. Highly secured, maintained clean and tidy, service requests addressed on time. I have not seen any bugs or heard of any such issues in tis apartments, thanks to the maintenance staffs. Neighbors or people living in this community are too friendly.

The property is actually really nice and the location is even better. It's near both airports and less than 20 minutes to downtown Dallas. I live in the garden style apartments near the lake and it's swarming with insects (nets, spiders, mosquitoes, etc). I've complained a few times but no response from management. I haven't had any maintenance issues to rate but hopefully the response and wait time is minimal. My biggest issue with the property is the management staff. Several managers have shown prejudice and discriminatory behavior toward me. They are unengaged and definitely not friendly. It's dishardening when you relocate without family and you have to reside at a apartment community that serms to not care. It would be nice to think where you pay $1000's of dollars would at least appreciate you for selecting their property. The day I picked my keys up was the worst, I was treated so horribly - I should've turned around!

I am not the easiest person to please because I tend to have a plethora of questions and can be quite irritating to the person that is having to answer them. But I was blown out of the water, Shamika was really responsive and helpful during the entire application process. Her patience was unbelievable especially when I was in a bind, I had signed the lease for a two bedroom apartment unit, but at the end I decided to switch over to a one bedroom. This was a last minute decision and I did not hear any complaints from Shamika, she took care all of it in a short amount of time. I was really satisfied, I cannot speak for others, nevertheless I recommend Via Las Colinas.

I moved into Via Las Colinas in Nov, 2016, and couldn't be happier! Coming from out of town, Rachel in the front office was very accommodating to my schedule and needs. The grounds are all well-kept, the tenants are friendly, it's very safe, and the amenities are certainly high-end! Each apartment is fully updated, and maintenance always answers requests in a prompt manner. I'd definitely recommend Via Las Colinas. - Robbie A

This review is so bittersweet for me to write. I never review places I'm currently living and after nearly 3 weeks after leaving here we have received our final move out statement so I feel comfortable that what I say won't be used against me. My boyfriend and I spent 15 months at Via Las Colinas. Pros: Ample parking in the mid rise unless it's hailing outside and then everyone and their Mom comes in so good luck if you get home late All staff I encountered except 1 were very friendly and helpful (Thank you, Debbie from the bottom of my heart for your care and encouragement after the death of my father earlier this year. You are a gift to everyone around you.) Grounds are kept nicely Never had to contact maintenance one time Convenient location Resident assistance with packages is a nice touch Inside of the units are comfortable Frequent resident events Pool wasn't crowded ever Flavia machine in the common area near the front office Cons: Noise -- I could literally hear my neighbor's landline ringing from my living room Trash rooms often accumulate bags and bags of trash to the point where you can hardly open the door Elevators are very far away which makes moving large items difficult Lack of key fobs at doors so it is difficult to get in the building close to your apartment Corner units facing courtyard get practically no sunlight Property Assistant Manager Tiffany is passive aggressive, rude, a liar, and does not care about the residents remotely. She is ultimately the reason this place didn't receive 5 stars from me. Very long story short, their billing system and my bank did not talk properly to process our July rent. We had a perfect rental history up until this point and attempted to rectify this as soon as we were notified, but it was 7pm on a Friday (a week after the 1st mind you) so not much could be done for days. In an effort to spare you a lengthy story just know that Tiffany took it upon herself to use this as a power trip by talking to me like a criminal, refusing to speak to myself or my boyfriend in person and only through other employees like a game of telephone, sent us a lengthy passive aggressive email after we notified a leasing agent of our experience while putting in our notice to vacate, lied about requested documentation after my bank paid for the lack of system communication and took zero responsibility for her lack of professionalism or inappropriate behavior. As someone who is responsible for other employees within my profession I decided that I would want someone to tell me if any of my staff members acted this way so after stewing over this appalling treatment for two months I decided to escalate this. I sent a 5 paragraph email to Jason Kae (whom I was told is a district manager) on September 28th. As of today, October 19th, I have not received even an acknowledgement that this email was received. I give up. While speaking with a few other residents and some staff members former and current at varying times I was informed that this is not unusual behavior for Tiffany. It is clear that management does not care about how she treats people and that is very sad because she is clearly your bad apple among the staff here. Until we had to deal with Tiffany everything at this complex met our expectations. We were contemplating leaving prior to this experience to get a larger space and move somewhere with some more "bells and whistles," but this was really the straw that broke the camel's back. I hate that my good stay here was marred by one person and a lack of response from upper management, but so be it. If you can move here and avoid ever having to deal with Tiffany then I think you'll have a lovely time. Best of luck!

At first I loved it here, never had to call maintenance or management, I received my packages. What I didn't like was management failure to notify me of my lease ending then pretending they left a note on my door. Whatever, I travel a lot so moving wasn't an option lack of choice due to time. Then I needed a larger aprtment they had over a month to prepare my lease day of lease wasn't ready. Even though I informed them I had movers and delivery scheduled. I had to call off work reschedule a meeting with a client the apartment wasn't move in ready. They were trying to send people out on my time after the apartment had been vacant for over a month. Still having problems with both management, maintenance and receiving my packages. I hate ordering anything at this point, the dumbfounded look is so old at this point, only anothere 5-10 mins later for then to find it. I'm SOOOOO moving. As hot as it is in texas and add much as I pay for rent my AC should work, stalking them to fix it shouldn't be a requirement. Never again, for someone considering it not sure it has a few pros, the office staff is fake friendly which for me is annoying. The passive aggressive type, just be genuine it comes across far better. The inside of the apartments are nicer than most however at this point for me it's so not worth it.

My husband and I relocated to DFW from Southern California in July 2015, and couldn't be more happy to be at VLC. We just resigned our lease for another year. Beauty and class combined with great management staff, makes for a wonderful experience. We live in a town home style apartment in Phase II, facing the lake. Our unit is super clean and everything is very well kept (we also take very good care of the unit). We have two dogs, so the dog parks and lake path is perfect! I would definitely recommend VLC to anyone looking for a good quality of life in an apartment. Thank you to the VLC team, for making our transition to DFW so great!!! - The Musolinos

Quiet and beautiful place to live. Private or parking garage options. Responsive staff, very friendly and helpful. Kitchen for one bedroom are good size, but dining area is a little small. Large closet and bedroom. The trail around the lake provides a relaxing walk.

We've started our 5th year at the property this year, and we have never stayed past a year. Some minor things here and there that the apartments don't have a lot of control over, but overall very happy with the property! Some of things management can't control: people. Guys, I've seen some reviews here, and management can't do a whole lot about residents who don't follow rules. Like for instance, the trash. I have a professional sports player living in my building and he doesn't give a ---- when or where trash gets picked up. And do you think if he gets fined $50 he cares? Nope. Plus, management shouldn't have to dig through trash to find out who it belongs too. Go have a chat with your neighbors if you don't like what they are doing. To the person who complained about the trash making the mulch smell: you are quite incorrect about that. We actually have the mulch changed out in the summer sometimes and yes, it quite does smell for a bit, but it's keeping the grounds nice. Get over it. Know what you are complaining about before you do it. Also the dog park is another issue. There's a crazy person who doesn't live here that was specifically told she was banned. She keeps coming back, but there's not a whole lot management can do. She isn't their resident. But they did say to call security anytime she shows up! They do what they can. Management has always resolved my issues (last year we were threatened with eviction over noise issues that were not with us) quickly and thoroughly. They do everything they can to keep residents happy. I'm giving the grounds 4 stars because of the obnoxious speed bumps installed last year to two years ago. They are terrible and people can't drive properly with them here. Phase two speed bumps were MUCH better, and should have been the guideline when putting in the new bumps.

I currently live here and I have some not great reasons why you should NOT move here. I moved her thinking it was close to work, I just relocated my job here a few months ago and I am having major issues with noise, trash and bugs. The management is polite to talk to but they are not able to manage their so called curb side trash pick up. Every single day someone is putting trash bags out on the wrong days and times causing the mulch to smell like trash and its over 100 degrees. You do the math! Tonight I went to the trash can to put a bag out and there were at least 7 huge roaches roaming around. On the topic, I ran into my new neighbor and her daughter. She mentioned roaches in her apartment she lives on first floor I believe. I live on the top floor and have them. Pest control has been to my place several times the past few months for one reason or another. ROACHES are unacceptable. I never lived with or had this issue anyplace I have lived. The management says" It is their natural habitat to be outside". Ok, but no place have I lived where they are running around more than children in summer. Their approach should be to thoroughly treat the entire property and then fine people more than 25 bucks a bag for leaving trash out. How about getting surveillance outside the building so we catch the trifling people who are doing this and ruining what would be a beautiful community minus trash and bugs. I am not sure if this is an owner issue, management issue or resident issue. Put people out for being nasty!! It ruins it for those clean people like me who want to relax and not have to be paranoid about bugs. Best advice is pick a different neighborhood. Does not seem the safest either! The lake is wonderful and I will miss it when I move but I cant take much more of this and I have only been here like 3 months.
