Appearance is nice but don't let that fool you!
An attempt was made to steal my truck along with 3 other vehicles the 2nd week we were here, which put me out of pocket $1200 in repairs. At least once a week either someone's car or apartment is broken into (this is not an exaggeration by any means). There is a police officer that lives there that gets discounted living for patrolling the complex. I can honestly say I have never seen a police officer patrol the complex EVER! In fact the officer's personal vehicle was stolen about a month or so ago. The walls are paper thin so pray you do not get noisy neighbors like we had. Be prepared for a high electric bill during the summer due to horrible insulated walls. The only good things I can say is the landscaping and maintenance is excellent. The bottom line is make sure you park under well lighted areas if possible, make sure your car alarm is set to a low shock range, get an alarm system for the apartment, buy a gun, wear ear plugs to bed, and carry a thick wallet. Good luck to all.

Break-Ins
We have been having a lot of break-ins (cars and apartments). You would think with it being a gated community it would limit the number but apparently I was wrong. We plan to move in Feb of 2008. It's been an ok experience. Some of the employees in the leasing office are rude and have orginization problems but other than that I guess its ok. Parking is horrible. So get prepared if you decide to move here. It's not a perfect as they put it out to be.

Car problems
I have lived here for 2 1/2 years. I understand about the worry of car vandalizism, and theft. But if you have something worth stealing, someone is going to find it no matter where you live. You're only option at the paramount is to rent a garage, unless you don'nt really like you're stuff. I lived here for over year with a mustang 5.0, with no problems, without a garage. I decided to buy a new mustang, and spotted a garage open for a week. I went to the nice people in the office and inquired about the garage. I came away with a garage for my new car that day. Bottom line, you get what you pay for.

Very bad mangement
The managemnet showed me a deal when I came to look at the apartment but when I came to sign the lease I found different rates. They are fraut. Cars are stolen and broken each week. The management personnels are very bad (halima and another fatty lady) and except manager.

Loved it
These apartments are beautiful. Mine had a huge kitchen, bathroom, and closet for a one-bedroom and the crown molding and built-ins make it so nice for the price. I was there for almost two years and really enjoyed it. Great location too, I commuted to the Galleria so getting right on 59N was convenient. Parking is a pain though. The few times I needed maintenance, they were there immediately. Once, the AC froze up and they noticed and fixed it before I even put the call in.

A Wonderful Experience
I absolutely LOVE this apartment complex. The only reason I moved is because I am moving into a home. The staff could not be friendlier, the pool is gorgeous, the parking is great. I almost moved on the other side of the freeway. Thank goodness I didn't. You escape all the traffic by living here! Pay your rent when it is due--leave the apartment clean- You should have no problems! Awesome place.

Quiet, clean property and friendly staff
I've lived here over a year now. Having lived in other apartments where I experienced loud neighbors and rude office staff I have to say The Paramount is like a dream come true. That's not to say I never hear my neighbors but I guess I'm lucky in that they don't play loud music or turn their TV way up. Also, in my experience the staff is always friendly and welcoming and from the very start they remembered me by name. <br><br>The only issues I've had have been the parking - but really, any apartment complex you live in that offers covered parking and/or garages you will have that problem. In my opinion, it is a little ridiculous to charge extra for covered parking - it's just a way to make extra money for something that's really not that much of a convenience other than a guaranteed parking spot. Garages I understand, though. Anyway, there have been times I've gotten home late and had to park at the back of the property and walk quite a distance to my apartment. As a young woman this isn't the best feeling in the world.<br><br>The other issue is people who insist on putting out their garbage on the weekend so it sits there and rots and/or animals get into it and make a mess. My former neighbor directly across from me did this all the time and it was extremely annoying. However, the office staff are good about putting up reminders on people's doors. <br><br>All in all, living here has been a pleasant experience. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

I miss the Paramount
I spent three years at the Paramount at Kingwood. I can honestly say it was the best apartment-living experience I have ever had. For starters, the complex is beautiful. Palm trees, well manicured. I never had a problem with the staff. In fact the movers I hired clipped a corner near the bedroom (pretty bad one too) when they were moving me out and the complex told me they would handle it. How many places can say that?<br><br>The maintenance guy and his family lived right above me. Really nice guy that always had a goodmorning for me on my way to work. The morning I moved in the hot water didn't work. By the time I was back from work it was fixed. No problem.<br><br>The pool was amazing. Great workout facilites and and the track behind the property is perfect (3 miles from the apartment to Northpark and back, by the way). I lived on the 59 side, so there was some noise (like the train every night at 2:00), but I never had any problems with thin walls. Most of the time I forgot I even had neighbors (except for the cutie across the balcony - miss her too).<br><br>The only thing that made things difficult at this complex were some of the tenants. The number of whinners there was something to behold. Nothing was good enough. "The cars are broken into, the neighbors are loud, no parking, dog crap on the steps..."<br><br>WELCOME TO HOUSTON!<br><br>The apartment complex and everyone associated with it have been wonderful. The problem is that handful of worthless residents that want to compain about everything. Go buy a house you losers.<br><br>"Oh no. They want me to give 60 days notice. Those evil monsters. Whatever will I do?" I've got an idea, READ THE LEASE BRANIAC. It says 60 days right on the contract. Loser.<br><br>"They want me to pay to clean up my own apartment when I moved out. They're being so mean to me (boo hoo). Whatever will I do?" How about cleaning up your own f&*#$ mess you nasty bastard. You lived there. You made the mess. You were the dirty schmuck who left it that way. Clean up after yourself. If your old enough to rent an apartment, you're too old for mommie to clean up after you. Loser.<br><br>My favorite repsonse on this site was the loser that claims her boyfriend's bike was stolen. She blames it on the complex. Tell you what honey, let's have the complex pay someone to watch pretty boys bike 24/7. That's what they're there for, right? Ever try locking it up? Mega loser.<br><br>I have only the greatest praise and thanks for the staff at the Paramount at Kingwood. If not for a job transfer I'd gladly still be there.<br><br>For all the afore mentioned loosers. Try living in Dallas. I'm paying an extra $200 a month for a smaller place with paper thin walls. Trust me, I now know what ------ living is all about.<br><br>I miss the Paramount.

nice place to live
my roommate and i randomly check this site since we have lived here the past 4 years. it humors us to see the responses that persons have. we have had issues in the past with trash and stuff, but who hasn't?!? the place looks good and clean and the guys that fix stuff are real nice and helpful. we have had good luck i guess. the only thing i can agree with is the parking- but all places i lived have bad parking. i say get one of the parking spots that you pay for if you are that worried about parking?! it equals to the same as eating at mickey d's once a week! that is what we gave up!! we like it here alot and love the pool- oh and they finally got some new work out stuff! <br><br>good luck to all- we are happy here. it is an apartment like any other i guess. . .

Don't move here
This is the worst apartments I've ever lived at. They charge you for everthing. when you move out be sure to clean everything in your apartment from the carpet to the microwave. These people charged me $15.00 to clean the microwave, $20.00 to clean the oven $15.00 for the frige and $150.00 for the carpet and we didn't have any pets. The took my whole deposit and then some. We ask the on the walk thur what we needed to clean and they said, the know the will have to clean some and everything looked fine. Then I got in the mail all these charges. Also if your gate key and garage key doesn't work you can't get anything done about it on the weekend. I had to leave my car in the garage and fine other means to get around because there was no one there to program the gate key. This place is the worst!!!

i wouldnt move here again
The office staff is rude, and doesnt care what you think. Do not talk with them about any big problem with out puting it in writing or recording it. Trash is a real big problem here with the trash pick up only during the week. They dont enforce the do not put trash out at nigh or weekend rules. The maitence people are very lacking and will enter your house with out notice. Cars are broken into all the time. The list goes on and on. The only thing they having going for them is how nice everything looks (when it is clean)

I love this place
The previous persons must be speaking of a different Paramount. I don't have a problem finding parking, but I guess if you are coming home at midnight it may be an issue. This is the nicest apartment complex in the area and I would have to say that the staff has always been very courteous and professional. The grounds are always clean and I love the door to door trash pick up. I would recommend this place to anyone!!!

NO PARKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Parking is a HUGE issue. I feel like a prisoner because if I get home too late there is no parking close to my building and I have to walk across the property if I am lucky enough to find parking at all. The staff is your best friend until you bring up an issue like the parking and then they become rude. They have security meetings to make sure everyone knows that THEY are not responsible for your security. The traffic and train noise take some getting used to but the grounds and apartments are ok. Seriously check out Balawoods across the freeway before moving here.

Can't wait to move
Reconsider moving in is all I can say, or at least hope you enjoy the mile hike to your apt. AND THE BEST PART i FEEL IS THEY WELCOMING OF PETS, So much they feel the need to display their pet feces on the stairs so we all are aware. And as many have shared cars are not safe. well how can they be across the lot. And last but not least the staff i'm not sure where they learned customer service, but last time i checked hangin up on tenants was not very professional.

Property Stolen!!
My boyfriend and I have lived in the Paramount apartments since November of 2005, At which time several of the residents vehicles have be vandalized. One vichicle has been stolen. Sundy April 9th, The apartments did not fix our entry gate for several days and my boyfriends motorcycle was stolen. I understand that it was our duty to file a police report, which we did and no such luck yet!!! I want other members of our community to be aware that these apartments are bad news!!! We told management about the gate being broken and they told me that it was working fine, while they told my boyfriend that they knew it was broken! I want anyone concidering moving into the paramount to be aware of what really happens there! Please be aware of your surroundings, Kingwood is not as safe as we would like to think!!!! <br><br>Thank you and be cautious! <br>

just lovin it !!!
I think if anyone complains about things in here soo much as You, then they shoulnt be living in the apartment complex.. why dont You move in to the house?<br>personally I was very excited about moving in and had no problems with anything or anyone.. one of the blinds was broken when I moved in and they fixed it the very next day. They made sure that the mail gets delivered and even gave me keys to the apartment a day before lease so I could move out of my previous place the day I needed. Parking spots? no problem. I park right in front of my apartment and never had troubles with the parking area, in fact it looks like there are always some spots left at night.. Neighbors are wonderful.. in fact one of them helped us take the furniture and boxes upstairs when we were moving in, and neighbors are nice and quiet.. never heard anybody.. trash pick up from the front door is awesome too.. no complains about anything... we had some difficulties while trying to apply for the apartment (just because they want to verify everything) which is awesome to me, I loved the fact that they do it so I know that the neighbors are no trouble people. I love the apartment, co far no crowds at the gym, as well as computer center. Just lovin it :)

Love this complex...
We've lived in this complex since 2002 and still cannot get over how quiet it is, the grounds are kept up very well and the managment staff have always been nice.<br><br>If you want to assure that you always have a parking spot, rent a carport or garage. We've done that since we moved in and have never had a problem.<br><br>This complex is one that any adult would be happy to call home.

Huge problems with auto/apartment theft
My car has been broken into and I was really freaked. Management said "oh so sorry and hope you have insurance" which means oh well but we can't do a darn thing about it.<br><br>Spoke with a friend on Houston Police Dept. Said Mallard Creek (neighbor property) Para mount has the highest rate of calls for break in's the entire area. He said being so close to the freeway thieves can get easy on easy off to the freeway. He also told me The Lodge at Kingwood had a lot of problems also.<br><br>I always thought a gated apartment would protect me from this kind of thing. He said not so. He said the property with the least amount of calls is not a gated property.<br><br><br><br><br>

60 days notice
I had an experience in which i needed to move out into a house i was buying and they would not work with me on getting out after i was already going month to month. They have a 60 days notice policy and even though they had people on the waiting list to rent my apt. they would not let me give 30 days notice....the shorter notice would have helped everyone involved but they said NO!!!<br>Make sure you know about the 60 days

Loud Neighbors/Bad Parking
First parking is awful, in order to give the residents decent parking they should take away the carports and raise the price of garages to make up for the loss. We have 2 vehicles but about to have 1 and parking just 1 vehicle is a hassle. We are not given 1 parking space per unit which is problematic when neighbors have people over and they take up all the spaces and you have to walk a mile or more with groceries to get to your apartment and thats not with full units! Second our upstairs neighbor has a young child that they cant reign in and is very loud and obnoxious, not just during daylight hours but after 10pm. Everytime my husband said something to leasing center they said they could do nothing about this and finally we spoke to manager who said they do send noise letters... supposedly called neighbor but noise level still a problem, when child jumps over and over or runs, the cabinets in our kitchen vibrate and sometimes dishes shake, light fixtures in ceiling vibrate. Third, leasing center staff can be very nice and courteous but have found not to be helpful in most matters and you have to talk to manager anyway, what a waste of time and burden to always bother manager, that is why there is staff!!! Fourth on a positive note, the apartment layout is perfect for us and we have not found anything like this anywhere in Kingwood or Houston in our price range and they have a nice pool. Fifth, security, the only problems that we are aware of were back on October a car was broken into, April there were 4 apartment break ins and a couple of months an angry, probably drunk person throwing trash in the front of the leasing center and yelling in the middle of the night. I overall do not recommend apartment life if you can very well buy a house for the same amount each month, or live on the 3rd floor, we live on the 2nd and our neighbor below never complains and when we have asked he said that he never hears us unlike how we hear our neighbor above. There are pros and cons to apt living and buying a home but if you can find a home for the money go ahead and do it! The headaches of a bad upstairs neighbor and bad parking are not worth the hassle! Good luck in your apt/home search! BY THE WAY: We are good tenants who pay on time each month/no one should pay this much for leasing if you cant even get parking and the apartment does not want to do anything about loud neighbors. There are apartments who care and will evict someone due to noise and give you 1 assigned parking space. Don't listen to any reviews that say that we are angry because we didnt get our way and we are now gone. We still live in these apartments and are very honest about our review here. It is true that there will be problems in apartment life thats why I advise to consider seriously if that is what you really want.

I really do like it here. Its pretty and the apartments are new and well kept.I do have some complaints. I have had to park on the no parking areas a couple of times on the weekend because of no room. I was lucky i was not towed. Once my husband had a flat late afternoon and by next morning the management were calling and saying he must take car of his tire immediatly. They were very rude. The management lost thier best assistant manager, anna, this year. She was the most friendly and helpful one. She would go out of her way to know everyone's name. She even knew their pets name. The mail service can be stressful. I get mail returned about twice a month because the mail carrier is lazy and misses apartment numbers. The postal service wont do anything about it. The apartment management wont either.
