pretty good..............ya
Well me and my brother live in these apartments, but in seperate units. The parking is the only thing I can complain about. I don't hear neighbors and the maintenance comes the next day. They don't freak out about my pet. I hear about car break-ins and the peeping Tom, but me and my wife feel pretty safe. I enjoy the trash pick-up at my front door. The landscape is nice. I chose to live by the highway and its a little noisy. I do have occasional tiny ants, but my brother(who leaves food out all of the time) never does. Nothing in the apartment has broke, but me and my btother both have cracked caulking around the shower that mildews sometimes.I was nervous about the owner change, yet everything is pretty good. A few more minorities have shown up since I moved in. I haven't delt with the staff much; they seem to be pretty nice. The work-out room is packed during optimal hours, but there is a jogging trail behind the complex. Overall me, my wife, and brother think that the Paramount is a nice place to live.

Please read the letters that the office puts on our door prior to writing misleading info on this site!
I have lived at the Paramount since 2002. At any property that you live at there will always arise an issue with parking, manangement, etc. You should read the letters that the office puts on our doors regarding mgmt.- if you did read you would have read the one that says that the mgmt for this property is J & S and the owners are Simons/Lawford´s Real Estate. All change is hectic and all the folks changing in the office kinda made me nervous- but all in all- everything is just the same as before and the manager is nicer!!!! Most of you being so rude on this site are probably the bad residents that did something wrong and did not get your way and are gone now!! that is good for us people that still live here. ALSO, I DO AGREE-PARKING IS BAD- BUT LOOK AT OTHER PLACES- IF IT IS THAT BIG OF A DEAL- GET A CARPORT/GARAGE! Practice what you preach- Right??!!!
the paramount is a nice place and you can compare for yourself- don´t just go off bad information on this site from mad persons, etc.- trust your instinct when you come and see this property!!

NO!!! Do not move here!!!!
I will just tell you straight up....The management company is the worst you will find anywhere in the Houston area!! It is now listed as Simon´s Real Estate. However, it was previously J & S Management. S... as in Simon!!?? It would be in your best interest to investigate why there was a name change. The property was owned and managed by Harold Farb (Awesome company) but sold to J & S in July 2003. do yourself a favor and look a little deeper.

Oh the lovely Paramount...
I live at the paramount currently, it looks as if it would be a nice place to live but actually it is not. I lived at a few other apartments in Kingwood but this would have to be the worst. The managment always gives me the run around when I ask them for something. I usually have to ask them three to four time, then after that it takes them about a month to fix it. Fist month I was there a got a leak in my roof, that took them a month to fix were it got worse everyday.

The Paramount is fine.
The paramount is a fine place to live. i have lived in 7 different apartment complexes all across texas and from my experience, there are pros and cons to any place you live. i believe the paramount is just fine and you can not satiafy everyone 100%. thats impossible. the paramount is well lit at night and the so called peeping tom, all that is is just people walking their pets and walking by somone on the 1st floor with their blinds open and someone inside freaks out. its called a chill pill. anyways i hate to be leaving. im moved to san antonio.

Management is Poor.
The management here is very poor. Parking is completely horrible. They tell you that things that have been broken will be fixed in a week and maybe a month later, it might be fixed but don´t expect it to be fixed when they say. The workout room ...something is always broken. People always steal the remote...the tv was stolen in the computer room. The computer´s are always down or broken. The people in the office are very unfriendly. They tell you that you can´t hear the highway when you are in the apartments. Poor quality for building materials...I guess what you get for the lowest bid is the quality they have here. The apartments are beautiful but if I could do it again then I would definately NOT move here again. Let me say this one more time PARKING SUCKS and YOU GET TREATED LIKE TOTAL SCUM after you sign your lease. Investigate more.

Looks are deceiving
The Paramount looks nice, but after living here, you can tell that the building were constructed in about one week. I could do a better job of carpentership, and I don´t even own a saw!! The place has gone to hell in a handbag since the new management company took over. Place is getting more ------ all the time. Parking is an absolute nightmare!! The people in the office don´t seem to their asses from a hole in the ground, and the new maintenance man looks like a gang leader. This place is definitely not worth the money they ask for in rent. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

middle of the road
Apartment was nice, but new management is very unfriendly. If you have a maintenance problem, don´t give it to the assistant manager. I lived there 6 months and any requests I gave him, never got taken care of. Parking is HORRIBLE!!!! You have to park on the other side of the complex and walk to your apartment...that´s scarey for women...especially with a peeping tom loose.

Just say NO!
I lived at The Paramount for only 5 months, and luckily had a job transfer and got out of my lease. First of all, as soon as you sign your lease, or soul, the staff become complete -------. Every other day they want to come into your apartment for some reason or another and then dont even tell you they have been there. After I left, they sent a bill to collections, Harold Farb has his own collections dpt, without even asking me for the money first. It took them three months to ask for the money and then gave me two weeks to pay it. STAY AWAY from all Harold Farb apartments, this was my second. Those damn lawyers are evil and scam you out of your own money. I even reported them to the BBB!!!! No parking spaces either and then they tow you if you were just parked somewhere for 1 hour, where the hell are you suppose to put your car??

Keep Shopping Around
Not bad if you dont plan to be home often. Otherwise, keep shopping. Parking was HORRIBLE; definitely lacking to make people pay a price to have a spot near their apt to park. Management seemed to have an attitude; I usually cringed when I knew I had to ask a question. Not exactly eager to be friendly or provide help, other than signing lease. Cheap quality as if apt were built fast and thus cheaply to start generating money and filling someone´s pockets. Thin walls and a HORRIBLE ant problem. Ants in outlets, bathtub, refrig, along walls, in food. Winter was a welcome. Keep shopping unless desperate.

NO!
For the price you are paying for this apartment you could do MUCH better!!! The pool is ALWAYS packed you can hardly find a chair. Walls are PAPER THIN. You can hear every word the people in the next room are saying. "carpet" is ugly and rough burburry. Our apartment smelled like cigarette smoke and it WOULD NOT go away! the employees are very rude. Parking is a nightmare, expect dings and scratches on your car. YOu have to pay for a parking spot. The security gate has been broke and stayed permanently open over half the time, anyone who wanted to get in could. People get their cars broke into a lot. I often had people bang on my door ant night several times to the point we called the cops. A train goes buy several times a night and wakes you up around 1 and 4 in the morning. YOu cannot sleep through it. Work out center is always shut down. The insect problem is horrible. They always want you to leave your doors unlocked so they can come in and do "random" checks. DO NOT Move here unless you want to throw away money. You can pay less and get more.

A great place to live and I lived on the 3rd floor with 2 children
Friendly neighbors, beautiful facilities and incredible pool area. This is the place to hang your hat and call home. On top of all that the staff are the best management I have ever had. I have had nothing but good expierencess with the staff and would call each of them my friend. We are even on a first name basis with the maintenance staff and have aslways received quick, courteous and professional repairs. We will only move away to buy a home.... We had a third floor appt with 2 children 9 and 2 yrs old and never had a complaint and during our stay have never made a complaint re: noise or anything else.

EXCELLANT COMPLEX TO LIVE IN-BEAUTIFULL
I HAVE LIVED AT KINGWOOD PARAMOUNT APTS FOR TWO YEARS. YOU ARE WORKING WITH THE MOST PROFESSIONAL GROUP OF SALES STAFF, WHO ARE ALWAYS THERE TO OCCOMODATE THE CUSTOMERS. NOT ONLY ARE THE APARTMENTS BEAUTIFULL, THE SWIMMING POOL IS LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN. BUT MOST OF ALL THE GROUNDS AND APARTMENTS ARE VERY CLEAN, NEAT AND ALWAYS LOOK FANTASTIC. YOU COULD NOT ASK FOR A GREATER STAFF THAN HERE AT KINGWOOD PARAMOUNT. THEY CARE WHAT THERE RENTERS THINK AND GO THE EXTRA MILE, AT THAT.

A wonderful place to live!
I´ve been a resident here at the Paramount for nearly a year now, and have absolutely no complaints whatsoever, and would highly recommend the property to anyone moving to the Kingwood area. The management has always promptly handled any request that I´ve had, and has done so in a very courteous and professional manner.

Better places for the money
For the money it costs, I would live elsewhere. You have to buy a covered spot or garage or else if you ever come home after 6pm, you´ll be parking 100 yards from your apartment. You have to live park to unload your groceries and then go park somewhere. Of the 4 occasions I dealt with the management, 3 of them were unpleasant. 1. The good experience was signing the lease - they were soo nice! 2. They were pretty rude about the parking issue. 3. The office does NOT notify you if you have a package (we found out the hard way and eventually just started stopping by once a week and asking if anything had come). 4. We had a terrible experience when asking if we could change our lease from a month to month to a 6 month because we knew our house would not be ready for 6 months. The answer was no (which was disappointing because this cost us an extra $300/month for 6 months), but they were just so rude about it and told us be could move out if we didn´t like it. Most people who live in the apartments are professionals, but the management will not treat you like one!

With that said, the apartment itself was pretty nice and they do a nice job keeping up the complex. The pool is awesome and the workout center is pretty good.
Terrible!!!
I was evicted because the walls were paper thin. I am a big guy and living on the third floor was hell. I always got complaints that I was "wrestling" when I was actually just walking around! I even got the cops called on my because the lady under me thought I was banging on the walls when I was actually doing laundry. TERRIBLE APARTMENT, NEVER MOVE HERE!!!!

So... So...
Apartment itself is nicely laid out to live in. The Parking is pretty bad. The spaces are very narrow and it´s easy to get dings in your door or people like to take more than "1" spot up. LOTS of noisey neighbors and the walls are SO thin you can here what they are watching on the television. Too Many SpeedBumps!! Uggghhh...
