Roach infested
Stay away! Bldg 6 is infested and has been for over a year! No leashes on dogs despite bringing it to mgmt attention and they’ll keep your deposit no matter what! I paid on time and early most months. I bet their turnover rate is insane here! Don’t do it!

Do not live here!
Living near a college, amusement park, and the Rim shopping area was a mistake. Way too much noise going on at all hours of the day from barking dogs, car alarms, fireworks at 10:30pm, neighbors moving in/out at odd hours making a bunch of noise going up and down the stairs. Someone was recently sitting in the parking lot at 10pm with their engine running very loud, called “courtesy officer” who ofcourse didn’t answer so he’s useless. The staff who works at front desk seems to change everytime I go in to hand them my rent check since I refuse to pay it online. I’m not paying an extra $30 to pay online..ridiculous. Overall this place is horrible, can’t wait to give them my 60 day notice that I will not be renewing my lease. Make sure you read the lease carefully before signing with these kind of shady apartments. They will try to charge you for any little thing especially when you say you are leaving. There are so many other apartments in this city that are nice and actually care about the residents.

Mark the Maintenance Guy Highly Recommend
I submitted a couple of long overdue work orders late on a Friday afternoon 2/17/23 for some mundane items, sticking front door deadbolt lock, broken kitchen sink faucet “wouldn’t switch between stream and spray modes”, and some separating caulking in the bathroom tub faucet plumbing wall penetrations. Mark the maintenance guy showed up at around noon the following day, Saturday 2/18/23. Less than 24 hours after submitting the original work request. Mark has gone above and beyond to fix my front door deadbolt, kitchen sink faucet, and sealing bathtub plumbing fixtures in a timely manner. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I was particularly impressed with Mark's attention to detail and his ability to diagnose and resolve the issues quickly and efficiently. His expertise and knowledge in the area of maintenance and repair were evident in his work, which was done to a high professional standard. Mark's friendly and courteous manner also made the experience of working with him a pleasure. He was responsive, communicative, and accommodating, and he made sure that everything was done to my satisfaction. Mark is a true professional and excellent representative of the Mira Vista staff, Community, and I greatly appreciated his services today. 10/10 would recommend Mark come address whatever issues you have within your dwelling. Overall, His skills, professionalism, and commitment to quality service are unparalleled. Thank you, Mark, for your excellent work, It is greatly appreciated!. RLS

I just want people to see what happens when you move out. Unfortunately, I really liked this place and if I had the opportunity to go back I would since it is under new management. The old manager would not let me check my mail in the business center so I couldn’t recover my disability checks and was forced into eviction after a bad car accident and had to leave town to heal from surgery and the accident. I was billed $3k in damages but the pictures I took of the apartment at move out don’t lie. I wouldn’t put it past her to have really tried to stick it to me for calling her out on her -------- and voicing my complaints about my roach infestation. Luckily I had two family members and a resident help move me out so I have people to attest to the condition of the apartment at move out. They want me to pay to replace a refrigerator, stove, carpets, a door, resurface an already ------ bathtub, and more. Is there something I am missing?

First of all, I rate them below a 0.. Management and office staff is rude and deceitful... I moved out and paid $600 for a trashed apartment... That’s funny because I spent a whole week cleaning and preparing the place before I turned in my keys... I should’ve left the place trashed if they’re going to charge me $600 after move out.. The Manager called the police on me because I told her about her incompetent office staff and herself... I just wanted answers about my utility bill.. It took me 5 times to finally sitdown to speak the manager.. That’s was unacceptable and I expressed that.. I believe I have the right to.. I wasn’t rude or disrespectful, she was... I had to write corporate about that incident, and she still kept her job... She was fired eventually, but not for all the complaints from the residents.. They fired her after a guy was bitten by a pit viper late one night... The didn’t put out a memo about the snake bite until a week later.. Only after I called asking if the guy was ok and I wanted to know if someone went by to check on his dog... They didn’t know I was the one who heard the guy crying for help after he was bit.. I sat with him until the ambulance came, then I took his dog to his apartment and brought him back his keys before they took him to the hospital... I guess the Manager was trying to hide the fact that someone was bitten by a poisonous snake on the property.. Look, I can’t make this stuff up.. They’re very deceitful... Take you family somewhere else to live.. It’ll save you a bunch of trouble, problems, and heart ache... Don’t believe me continue to scroll the comments... The marketing staff deleted the comment I recently in January of this year 2021.. But I come back to check, cause I know they’re tricky

It’s been a stressful experience since moving here; the pool area has been closed for repairs it seems like ages, the gym has been closed for over three weeks due to a ceiling repair- which shouldn’t take over three weeks to fix. I’ve been calling the front office for weeks now and no one answers- it just rings. The staff is nice but seem incompetent at their jobs since they can’t even control the noise disturbance nor answer calls for simple questions. One word to sum up this place- frustrating!!!

Buyer beware! Crooks work here! My rent was $998/month. I paid this for 3 years. I left in the middle of one month and agreed to pay half of the $998 which is $499. I get an email with an added $3656.56 what's called an "accelerated rent". Which is additional make believe money they add when you break a lease. There's no justification for charging someone this. I was charged $95 for carpet cleaning when I shampooed the carpet myself before I left. I was charged a cleaning fee of $86.85 for cleaning when I cleaned everything in that unit. I was charged a relet lease break fee of $847.70 which is almost another months worth of rent. The crooks that work here leased this unit in two weeks at $1100/month and left me with a bill of almost $5000. Where is the business ethics? If the crooks leased the unit two weeks after I left I didn't cost them a dime! Do the right thing!

DO NOT MOVE HERE! I have been having problems in my apartment, water always goes into my bedroom when it rains where I have to put towels by the window, the AC doesn't work sometimes, my toilet stopped working, the wall in my living room by the window is starting to crack, and there's always pests! thank god I am finally moving out of this apt next month, I literally feel like I'm only paying for the location which is nice but on the inside of the apt it's old and a lot of problems! I've been telling the office to fix the window and maintenance clearly does not do a good job fixing it, because more water keeps coming in when it rains! Good riddance with this apt complex! Trust me go find another apt complex there are others that are so much nicer and newer!

DO NOT MOVE HERE!! Tatiyanna definitely doesn't know what she's talking about. Sam & Lydia will give you all kinds of wrong information. You will regret it. The best thing about Mira Vista is the location. For what you're going to pay here just go somewhere else. Seriously. Hands down the worst front desk staff. Mira Vista please consider hiring someone else or training them properly.

Apartment itself is decent. Liked the attached garage. Pool is decent too. Then there is the rest of it. Notices for packages are a fail. And then they complain when you don't pick them up. Had to help them find two packages "because it was not in the right spot". Waited two months for them to fully fix a water leak issue their contractors caused. Garage door is beaten up by previous tenant. Tacky, never addressed. Noise was awful. Courtesy officer onsite is USELESS. Had to call the cops four times. I know it is my responsibility to give notice 60 days out; there reminder comes after the deadline. Ah, thanks but not helpful. Gates worked 50% of the time, useless. In general, they are nice folks. For a "luxury" apartment you don't get luxury treatment. Pecan Spring's office does a better job, FYI.

These apartments are fairly priced in a good location, but AVOID THEM AT ALL COST. They are a money-hungry corporation that cares very little about the residents. My boyfriend and I have been living here for about six months and, it's been the WORST experience since. From simple requirements, such as applying, to our most complex, urgent issue, A ROACH INFESTATION; it's been an uphill battle with MV Apartments. They have not worked with us in regards to any issue. I previously lived in a student housing apartment complex for TWO YEARS and never ran into the amount of problems that we have here. The most frustrating aspect in the roach infestation issue is that MV Apartments has attempted to blame my boyfriend and I for the entire problem. To start, that is extremely rude considering the fact that a pest control specialist supervisor, from Worldwide Pest Control, inspected the apartment and concluded that there was no sanitary issue (on our part). Second, MV Apartments has had pest control treat our apartment six different times, and soon after a pest control specialist visited / treated our apartment three different times. Nonetheless, the problem still persisted. If you like broken appliances, re-occuring mold, and a roach infestation, then this is the place for you. The management has not been much help either. My boyfriend and I spoke with MV's apartment manager and not one issue was resolved. We went ahead and asked for the regional manager's contact information, but MV's apartment manager refused to give us that information. I have also sent numerous emails to their corporate email address found in the resident handbook, and I have not received a reply back (even though it states that they will reply within two business days). Lastly, I sent a certified letter to an address, for "Resident Relations" provided in the resident handbook, and still, not one issue has been resolved. This apartment complex is nothing but a fraud, and if you have the chance to spare yourself from them, then I would advise you to do so.

I'll start my review with the couple of positive things about this apartment. It's in a pretty cool location, and if you get lucky enough to get a unit in the right spot, you can have an incredible view for a pretty reasonable price. That's about where the good news ends. Maintenance is pretty good about small things, but when there is damage to the building or anything that requires a contractor, the management is horribly slow about getting someone out to fix it, there were several instances of roofing damage, gutters being broken, and electrical issues with the hallway lighting that, in some of the mentioned cases, went unaddressed for months. Upon move out, I was unable to be present for the walkthrough because I was out of state, and apparently waiting until I returned was not an option. I should have known this was going to be bad news, I was left unable to debate any of the $700 that I was to be charged for, most of which was for absurd reasons. The complex claimed it would be $260 for carpet repair, when a simple carpet shampoo would have more than sufficed - and which I would have been happy to pay for. Another $300 to resurface the tub, for which I still have no explanation why it needed doing, nor why I'm responsible for it. Finally another $120 for cleaning, paint, and repair to the walls for holes where nails were to hang pictures, something I was told earlier on was acceptable to leave so long as they were under a certain diameter, of which all of my holes were. It's clear that the management of this property is just out to juice their tenants for every last penny that they can because I'm sure they're struggling to compete with the newer, much nicer complexes that are popping up in their neighboring area. I would recommend looking elsewhere for the next place you call home.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU SIGN YOUR LEASE! My apartment unit has been 86 degrees since Wednesday November 1, 2017! I have a special needs chIld who requires special care and preparation with regard to any slight deviation to his routine and wasn't informed that the A/C unit needed to be replaced until 4PM Thursday November 2, 2017, which NO ONE in the office could seem to give me a status before that time even though I had been calling repeatedly for an update in hopes they would comprehend the urgency of this matter! THE OFFICE STAFF KEPT GIVING ME THE SAME REPLY all the way until 5:45PM, Thursday November 2, 2017; "It'll get fixed by 6PM." It's Friday November 3, 2017 4PM and I was just informed that I will be without an A/C unit until NEXT WEEK! (Or until the new A/C unit is shipped) and I was told to "open my windows and turn the unit off for the weekend since it will only be in the 80's this weekend." Meanwhile my apartment is still 86 DEGREES AND/OR HIGHER DURING THE DAY AND 84 DEGREES AT NIGHT! HOW ARE THESE ETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES OK?!?!?!?

Maintenance covers each others butts and don't do their job adequately what so ever. There are covered holes in the walls and doors that are very noticeable. Raccoons raid your trash every night since you have valet and have to take out the trash overnight. The raccoons have managed to make their war thought the layout of the building.Their virtually living next to you!See picture!Their everywhere and nothing is done to stop!Overall way too LITTLE bang for your buck.

I am so ready to move out of this dump. Don't let the advertisement sign fool you when you walk in the door because these are NOT luxury apartments. If you want to chill by the pool, you should prob wait till your 70 to fit in with the crowd. Ask the attendees at the pool and they will all tell you that they don't live at Mira Vista. The Management team is helpless, maintenance team takes days on days to fix issues. This place does nothing for the residents except take your money. O yeah, call about the great move in special! Ha $100 off are you joking? Thanks but no thanks. Do NOT move here. You will REGRET it! One last thing, when you move out don't except you deposit back and expect a bill in the mail for additional fees.

After living here for two years, I had to think about this review for quite awhile. I'll start with the good things Mira Vista has to offer: -some friendly staff members -responsive maintenance team -very nice views Of course there were more bothersome things that outweighed these positives: -some unfriendly staff members -our apartment was filthy when we moved in -numerous police visits to some of my neighbors -there was always a broken down car in our lot -gates hadn't worked the entire two years -hallways and parking lots had garbage blowing around When we first moved in, the apartment was a wreck. There was hair in the shower, our microwave didn't work, and they hadn't completed the carpet installation leaving a sharp metal edge. The maintenance crew was great and got these fixed right away, but no one ever came to clean the bathroom, so we had to do this ourselves. Even with these shortcomings, the final deal-breaker was our move out experience. After cleaning our apartment (leaving it way better than when we moved in) we received a bill for $150 on top of losing our $200 deposit. The invoice cited little things from burnt out light bulbs to larger expenses such as re-surfacing the kitchen counter tops. Mira Vista wasn't able to offer an explanation for these charges, and directed me to their parent company, Management Support. After calling their office three times, I was finally able to get some proof of these charges....I wish I could upload the pictures they sent me for the community to judge. Things like leaving the garbage container they provided by the front door, and hard water stains in the dish washer constituted $70 of the bill. They never did provide any pictures or reason why the counter top had to be re-done, but at this point they will turn me over to a collection agency if I don't pay. If anyone from Mira Vista reads this, I would really appreciate a response, and a justification for this (Management Support will not return a phone call or email).

Love our two bedroom apt at Mira Vista. It's bright and airy and in a great location. The apartments are a little older but maintenance has been very quick to come in and repair something when we report it. The only downside is a noisy resident with a smoke stack in the back of his truck that sounds like a semi truck.

I have just renewed my lease for Mira Vista for another year. Living here the past year has been great! The pool is wonderful, relaxing and clean! I love being able to use the sand volleyball courts. Gym and basketball courts. The room layout is great! If I have had any questions, the front office staff was immediately able to assist me and very nice to me. Maintenance staff has been very nice. I have had not one single bug in my apartment in the past year. There is always parking available. Great experience!

On the positive side, it has great views and the location is excellent. Down side: -Interior dated -When something broke in the fitness room it was never replaced, just removed and everything rearranged to make it look better. Happened a couple of times. -Majority of service requests required 2-3 calls to the front office to get done -Gates never worked, always open -Tennis court electrical panel exposed and very dangerous -Tennis court lights worked about 50% of the time -The new management is horrible (bad attitude, horrible communication) -Went out of town on a Friday morning during a holiday weekend and received a call Monday morning on our way back home. The front office told us our car will get towed if we didn't move it within a couple hours. They scheduled for the parking lot to be repaved but didn't send out notifications this was being done until late that Friday afternoon. Rushed home and come to find out they delayed the resurfacing a week for our section. A call letting us know would of been nice. Glad we rushed home. -We left the apartment cleaner than when we moved in and it just happened that our cleaning fees was exactly the same amount as our deposit. Not sure, left the place tip-top. -Can't explain this but our utility bills were the same or slightly more than our current 5 bedroom 3400sq.ft. home. The house is in the same area with the same utilities. Not sure how that works.
