I'm shocked at the previous posts! I've been here for 3 years and never had a problem. Some of my neighbors have been here a while too. Maintenance is nice and friendly. The breezeways can be a bit dirty from the trash service where you leave your trash out. But when I call to have it cleaned, maintenance always cleans it. I've never needed to go into the leasing office so I guess they are nice enough. They were nice when I toured and moved in. The apartments are older looking on the inside but in good condition. No problems to complain about from me.

Terrible customer service. The management is rude and treat their residents very poorly. I have lived here for two years now, but want to move out just because of how bad the management of this place is. Avoid.

Do you value peace and quiet? Well absolutely do NOT rent here. The apartments appear to have been built with little to no noise insulation. To top it off, college kids apparently can afford these apartments. I can hear each and every single thing they do. From screaming, moving furniture, dogs running around, barking, walking, and worst of all is their loud music. The staff is friendly enough, sometimes too friendly, but they lack common sense and basic smarts. The only competant person there is the courtesy officer who had to tow another tenant's vehicle from where they were parked in front of my garage. But then again he's not actually an employee there, he works for the San Antonio police. They have bizarre rules about trash collection and grills. The initial packet we got said we could have a grill, but later they sent out a paper stating anyone with a grill on their porch would be fined. Where else does one put a grill? Apparently we should be grilling INSIDE their apartments where their overly-sensitive smoke alarms go off at even steam! The community itself is also gated, which would be nice and safe if they didn't keep they gate open during some days and nights or if people didn't piggyback on residents who have an acces remote. The fact that the apartment complex's community building was robbed is proof just how useless the gates are to the community. If you're trying to decide whether to buy or rent, just stay here for a week and you're sure to never rent an apartment ever again. There is the added bonus of hearing fireworks and concerts going on in the theme park next door as if they were right above you! There are also many structural flaws in the apartments, plenty of cracks, carpet that doesn't completely cover the floor, and paint on the carpet as well as hastily painted frames. UPDATE: We are finally moving into a house in a good neighborhood. I have still had issues with noise and parking even though the police have given them warnings. Dog poop is left in the hallways between apartments. Maintenance seems to somehow get the apartment numbers mixed up and several times have contacted us or showed up at our door despite us not putting in requests. Finally, when our mail is dropped off at the front office the management does not let us know as other apartments would. Instead they keep it in a closet until confused tenants ask about their mail.

Wow! I can see only the miserable people like to post! I recently moved here from FL not know what to expect when I arrived (especially seeing all these negative reviews) . However, my experience starting with my leasing agent down to all the other staff has been great! My apartment is beautiful and I LOVE all the amenities to go with it! Plus my neighbors seem to all be old timers here (meaning they have been here a long time) PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY LIKE IT HERE! This all being said, I would recommend living here! Nice place to live!

Great Location ! Terrible Management........ Below is what I noted on the move in paperwork. Apartment 215 Master bedroom Toilet wobbles Carpet seriously lifting at entry to bathroom. Big gap for bugs. Electrical outlet lose & cracked Carpet lifting throughout apt. Scuffs & scratches on Pergo Hall bathroom doesn't close/lock Ice maker not working Dented fridge Cracked / broken kitchen drawer Under threshold front door - gap needs caulking Roaches (baby ones), ants traveling in master bathroom from area with lifted carpet to broken toilet... Bugs, bugs, bugs ... Bug poop found in corners. They never fixed a thing, wait, they did fix the lock on the hall bathroom............. Then they charged for paint and cleaning when I left. Really? There for 3 months and the paint was damaged???? No doubt there wasn't any painting or cleaning done to the place. Just a way to keep our money. I contacted the manager who said she would get an adjustment but never spoke with me again............not worth the hassle when dealing with the loss of a loved one. Great location, beautiful area,,,,, just have to live with lifting carpet, wobbly toilets and bugs bugs bugs..........

LESSEE BEWARE!!!!!(as in buyer beware) DON'T MOVE HERE!!! We needed an apt. right away as I was moving to San Antonio from the islands and knew nothing of the area and needed to be close to where my finance was going to work as I am disabled. The place looked and sounded good over the Internet and phone with the manager then --------. AS everyone else has stated dog crap everywhere, the few lounge chairs they had were missing slats, the fitness center was maybe 15 yrs old and smelled the same. The business center was a joke of one. Seeing all this after we signed the lease and before seeing the property!!! BIG MISTAKE!!! I moved in towards the end of the month and 3 days later I had to fly back to the islands as my other half had to have life and death emergency surgery. I wound up 3 weeks there before she could fly. So my move in was of course rushed....my stupidity was by glazing over the check in list as I had more pressing things on my mind. I figured no problem they all seamed honest and we are very good tenets and would leave the place in better shape than when we moved in. WELL, this is where the worst was to come. We had issues with our garage door for several months and had maint. out there every month for the last 4 of the 6 months we were there (which these guys were very attentive and quick). I would leave close the garage door when I pulled my car out, and when I would come home and the garage door would be open??? Knowingly that I checked it after the 2nd time this happened to make sure I closed it. I complained to the then manager -------- (don't know if she is still there?) and told her about this. Then one day I was backing in as I always did and the door started coming down as I was backing in my car and the door scraped the deck lid of the trunk. I went right to the office to complain to manager she told me to get an estimate and turn it in. I waited 3 weeks for an answer then I get a letter from her stating that it was my fault not theirs as there wasn't nothing wrong with the door (she has a degree in electrical engineering....NOT) and there's no record of maint. being there for this issue before...LIAR she stuck it to me!!! I asked the head of Maint. --- to replace the machine and imagine that no more issues! The the day we moved out as of course we weren't going to extend our lease. I'm not stupid all the time and requested someone to do walk through with me to release apt. to them. We paid out of our pocket $70 to have carpets cleaned and paid someone to clean the apt. professionally as I am disabled for us and I took pictures of EVERYTHING on how it looked after we moved out SPOTLESS and absolutely ready for someone to move right in not having to clean anything!!!! We left and 3 weeks later received our deposit back less $185 of the $200 that we gave? In 25 yrs off and on leasing I have NEVER not had my deposit not returned to me in full. The idiot assistant manager ---- who is a liar and thief told me they had to paint our whole apartment for all the damage. Now, I had taken pictures showing how we left it. I told her in no certain terms would we be responsible for this as it was left pristine, except maybe a little area underneath the counter which wouldn't cost $185 to do so? I got very ill and was in the hospital several times since we moved out and had no strength or will to take this up with them further. I just found out about this site and felt it was more important to WARN EVERYONE NOT TO MOVE IN HERE!!!!! If they will take advantage of a disabled person think what they will do to one who isn't!!!!! Best of luck to the ones left behind!

Don't be seduced by the location * take a good look and notice things like all of the lounges by the pool are at least 10 yrs old, rusted and missing slats * when they walk you through the business center ask to use one of the computers - ha ha - they don't work and neither does the printer * no lights in the parking areas * dog droppings everywhere * filthy walkways, stairs and hallways - I don't think they have ever been cleaned this is a ------ in a nice location and the place should be torn down - if you expect even the bare minimum of professional behavior and standards after you sign your lease you are in for a big surprise don't be the next victim of this dump

I've never taken apartment reviews seriously because people are more likely to write a bad review than a good one. Please take my review seriously! Do not live at these apartments. The office staff are the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. They are rude, young, and extremely unprofessional. There is no way of submitting a work order other than to call and ask for one. You will be lucky to get help the same or next day. The trash situation is absolutely disgusting. You are supposed to leave your trash in the grass in front of your buildings the night before. The trash is almost always dug through by animals or spread throughout the landscaping by the wind or rain. They usually get around to picking the trash bags up that afternoon but not the trash spread through the parking lot or grass. If you want to take your own trash to the dumpster or recycling bin, good luck. It is always overflowing with trash. Not sure if this is Mira Vista's or trash company's fault but its gross. There is never enough parking. The covered parking-$50 a month- in front of my building has been closed for construction for the past 6 months. I have never seen anyone working on it. They park one trailer underneath and block off all other parking spots so it overcrowds all of the uncovered parking lots. The next closest covered parking area was torn down about a year ago so it makes the parking situation worse. If you have packages being delivered, they most likely lose them. I can't count the number of times that I have received a FedEx or UPS slip on my door and then go to the office to get it and they can't find it. It usually shows up a day later when I go back and demand that it is here. They always say "Oh, someone put it in the wrong spot" or "It was hiding behind another package". Seriously? Get a better way of organizing our packages. This may sound petty, but for someone who offices out of her home this is so annoying. The only "pro" I've always THOUGHT I liked about this complex is the location. Unfortunately the location sucks during holiday weekends and the summer. The traffic for La Cantera and Six Flags is a nightmare. Do not live in these apartments!!

So looking at all these reviews i can tell that only the people that have had bad expierances write them lol. Ive been here for a several months and i love it! its a GREAT location, the apts are nice inside and out and i have not had any trouble with the office people or maintenece. i feel very safe here and so far nothing negative to report. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves but there are pool parties going on frequently; i havent been bothered by them and i live near the pool. if i had 1 bad thing to say about this place its that i wish the trash could be picked up sooner but other than that its a good complex.

MIRA VISTA - The entire corporation of this property is a scam!
May 23, 2012 From: ------ XXXX PO Box XXXXX Austin, TX 78755 To: Management Support c/o Account Resolutions 6933 Borderbrook Dr. San Antonio, TX 78238 210-858-2402 Greetings --------------: Per our phone discussion today, I vacated Apt. ---- after completing exactly a 1 Year Lease. There had been many problems that aroused during the 1 year I resided at Mira Vista in San Antonio. It became so bad; I demanded to speak with someone in upper Management. Finally, I was referred to someone in San Antonio that supposedly was the Regional Director or something. I don t recall his name but I called his office numerous times and his Admin Assistant always told me she would pass on my Urgent message, or she would say he was not in the office, or was out of town. This Regional Manager never bothered to ever call me back even though I called numerous times and told the Admin Asst. to ensure to tell him it was an urgent matter. While living at Mira Vista, I filed numerous complaints with the onsite Management for things like, continuous and long duration ongoing noise very late at nights. I called the police on numerous times for various incidents including noise, theft of my property on patio, vandalism, and even someone attempted to open my apartment door late at night on two different occasions. The police NEVER responded to anything at all. The Dispatcher told me on 911 that they received so many calls about Mira Vista, they would only now respond to the most serious ones. I called the onsite Security of the premises only to find out that he was an Off Duty San Antonio Police Officer that lived on premises but every time I called, I was told he was working a shift as his regular job of being a Policeman. When my Lease was coming to an end and I was required to give a notice, I told the onsite Manager at that time that I would ONLY renew my Lease for another year if she could assure me that I could get some attention/resolution of some ongoing issues I was experiencing along with being able to talk directly with someone in Upper Management. This onsite Manager dragged this on up until just a few days before my Lease would be over. She convinced me earlier to go ahead and sign for another 1 year Lease and told me things would be addressed. It never was addressed and no one ever bothered talking to me about these issues as promised. About 2 or 3 days before my Lease was over, I wrote a lengthy letter to onsite Management outlining in detail of everything that had occurred. I even had two witnesses sign the letter and they also left their phone numbers by their signature too. It got to the point that this onsite Manager told me, Mr. ----, you are so very unhappy with us here at Mira Vista, you are free to leave at the end of this current Lease if you so desire. She also added, You can bring your keys to the office or turn into On-Call Maintenance if the office is closed. I told her that I would move out and since time was about out, I had to pack and move out very quickly. I promptly called Blue Whale Movers of Austin, TX and told them I needed a quick move and they agreed to do the job. I moved out the very last night of my Lease and departed. I never heard anything about Mira Vista attempting to collect any monies from me until very recently. (I moved out over 2 years ago.) I called you (--------------) about two months ago and I also called the Onsite Management at Mira Vista at that time and told her everything. You never contacted me back at all although I left you voice messages over the phone and also to the Onsite Manager for her to tell you I was trying to contact you. Today (05/23/2012) is the first time you finally responded. Your letter said you filed this with the Credit Bureaus in which I was just now able to find out they indeed have a debt listed for approximately $2,700. You need to totally clear my record of any debts! Reason being, I was clearly without question instructed by the Onsite Manager of Mira Vista at that time that I was free from any obligations and that I could properly depart on the last day of the Lease. Under the history of the way things have now evolved, there is no way I can ever agree to give Mira Vista a penny for anything since your claims of me owing anything is bogus. I left the apartment properly and exactly as the Onsite Manager instructed. She told me the new Lease that was never activated would be destroyed. Evidently, it was not destroyed. Also, you told me today that your records do not show that I wrote a very lengthy hand written letter and delivered it directly to the Onsite Manager of Mira Vista. If it is not in your records, someone from Mira Vista Staff removed it from your files for whatever agenda they had for doing so. You realize all of this makes Mira Vista look to be a very dishonest corporation trying to wrongfully collect money that is certainly not due. You are very wrong for doing what you have done with the Credit Bureaus for two reasons: 1) I moved out on the very last day of my Lease in the exact manner I was authorized to do so. 2) I tried contacting you back a couple of months ago before you evidently filed anything with the Credit Bureaus and you never answered the phone nor responded back to my numerous messages. (I called you directly and also the Manager at the Mira Vista site and you never once responded .the same way the Regional Manager never did while I was residing there during my Lease.) You (--------------) even lied to me on the phone today when I asked you about filing some bogus debt to Credit Bureaus. Your response was, Oh, it was only a scare tactic in my letter. Then when I told you it was on my Equifax report, you then responded by saying, Well, I only reported it to Experian. You now see how dishonest and corrupt your corporation operates? While I lived at Mira Vista, I think the onsite Management turned over three different times in only a 12 months period. Everything was always a mess there and I always heard stories that Management at Mira Vista were making threats to its Tenants if they wrote any open complaints about Mira Vista on the internet Apartment Review type sites. I was always denied to speak directly to someone in upper Management from this corporation. You guys never would and/or liked responding to me in person or by phone. I was always instructed to draft letters and send to you. I think that is just an excuse not to address the issue(s) directly. I expect your prompt response back to me with the appropriate clearly of any records in my name. For the record, I am in my 50 s in age and I have lived in probably 10 different complexes in my life and I have never had an unpaid balance anywhere. Please remove these wrongful claims of debt from Credit Bureaus and also your own records. Thank you! Regards, ------ XXXX PO Box XXXX Austin, TX 78755

I left my lease early I couldn't take the frustration anymore!!! My wife and I wanted a place to finally call home hit we were sorely mistaken! Please stay away! Management has not improved at all! Nice floor plans are great but if thy don't fix a problem or damage your stuff do you really want to move there!? I would hope not! Don't waste your money or time! So Far, So Good
After reading a few of these reviews, I guess I can say I'm pretty lucky because my experience at Mira Vista so far has been great. I've been here for three months and have little to nothing to complain about. The front office staff has been courteous every time I need something. During my first visit to Mira Vista, I fell in love with it. The location is AMAZING. My leasing agent, was extremely nice and answered all of our questions. I guess I should address what others have addressed on these reviews... Noise level: Maybe it's where my apartment is located and the acoustics of the walls/building, but my apartment is very quiet. Being so close to UTSA, this was my main concern, but so far it's been great. Saturdays and Sundays are usually very busy at the pool area, and it's usually filled with a good mix of both college students/young crowds as well as families with children. My neighbors are great. Extremely friendly, and I hardly see them (not saying thats a good thing lol). I will say this: during the first few weeks that I was here, there were a few younger kids (probably college students) living in the building across from me that lived on the third floor that would spend a few of their nights on the balcony drinking and shouting. This wasn't a huge problem for me, since I live alone and am young myself, but I did feel bad for their neighbors because I'm sure they heard more than what I heard. However, getting back to point, I believe management told them something because now they rarely spend time on their balcony. And when they do, they are very quiet. Front office/maintenance: So far, I haven't needed maintenance to come to my apartment for any reason. Anytime I need to go to the front office, be it for a package pickup or to pay the rent, the office staff has been very kind. The apartment : I live in a one bedroom apartment on the third floor. Balcony has a great view of six flags and I get a great fireworks show every night at 9pm during the summer. One of the walls in the living room had a crack, but that's due to the fact that the apartment complex is built on a hill and it's been shifting for a while (these are 11 year old apartments). I will say that the living room and bedroom walls have very sensitive paint. Any stain you make, will show and since the walls are painted with flat paint, it's hard to remove any type of stain without making it look unnoticeable . I read other reviews about how the walls are "paper thin" and how you can "hear everything" that goes on next door, but that has not been the case for me. Once again, maybe I am lucky and have great neighbors. Grounds: the groundskeepers do a pretty good job maintaining the land. I read an earlier review about how the entire complex is full of dog poop. Not true. Yes, I have seen SOME poop, but it's not something that's EVERYWHERE. Parking: Parking is not a problem for me, at least it's not in my building. Every time I come home or have visitors over, there is ALWAYS a spot close to the building. In a nutshell, I really like it here. My neighbors say they like it too. The complex is in an amazing location, right next to six flags and the shops at la cantera. Very close to 1604 and I-10. I signed a six month lease, not knowing if I would enjoy my stay here, and now that I have enjoyed it, I regret not signing a full year. I just hope my monthly rent doesn't jump too high.

Will not go back...
I signed a year lease at this complex and I had issues with the A/C for about 4 of those months. Maintenance was shaky and took a fourth try before my A/C was properly fixed. There was a lot of college kids there and I had to fight for parking on weekends during the school year. I expected more from a complex close to La Cantera. I guess I was wrong and I do not recommend living here.

Not bad at all....Not mentionable probles for me yet
I moved in to the Mira Vista apartmens on August 17th 2010..I saw the place a few months before and I LOVED the way it looked. Me and my boyfriend instantly applied, the apartment we looked at had a fireplace and amazing view of the city, after we did the down payment I saw the reviews on here and got kinda worried we made a mistake...The first month there, the freezer was acting funny, I let the office know on SUNDAY around like 2pm, we left and got home 2 hours later, the freezer had already been fixed. I was suprised at how quick they were. Another time we accidently broke the toilet pump, we let them know, same day we let them know it was FIXED. Anytime i've gone to the office they've been very quick and helpful. I noticed people complained about dog poop everywhere...Yeah alot of people have dogs but it's not like the poop is EVERYWHERE, i've seen some but it's on the grass towards areas I never see anyone use for foot traffic (aside from dog owners) maybe i'm lucky and it's the way the building i'm in is set up but there's no reason to walk in the grass where I live. The apartment we live in is nice, it's got white trim and light brown/tan walls...Nice fireplace. Big bathroom (love the bathroom) YEAH there are a few SMALL cracks here and there, but I let them know any damage I saw WHEN I moved in. But nobody noticed any of these cracks, I only did because I was looking for them. Overall I'd say 5 stars, i'd live here again. We hadgotten charged 25 dollars for putting the trash out on the wrong days...(Trash pickup is Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings) we let them know we did't know the days and they didn't charge us anymore. My experience with management has been a breeze and i'm satsfied.

Needs more caring staff. I realized I wasn't alone in my bad experience living at Mira Vista.
I've been intending to write a review after living here for just 2 months, but thought I'd give the property a second chance. Then more idiosyncratic situations occurred after a few more months, but figured, everyone deserves a 3rd chance. However, after just 6 months of living here, I've realized, I made a mistake, I should have moved somewhere else. The location and views were the appeal. However, the staff is incredibly rude and impatient, perhaps a byproduct of age. Not sure. They don't have any follow through or quality assurance on maintenance requests. For example, after the recent summer rain, I realized I had water leaks in one room. I had to call 3-4 times and each time it was as if the staff had Alzheimer's disease and "forgot" that I had placed an order for repairs. The maintenance guys will come by and say they fix something, but in reality, they don't or do a crapppy job. I had an insane amount of tiny bugs coming through one window, I found the cracks and requested it fixed. The maintenance guy left a note saying "all cracks repaired." However, I documented 3 cracks left unrepaired in the same small window. How can that be? At least I get less bugs now, but still, one shouldn't have to call several times for the same job. Don't get me started on the gates? The motor on the back gate was apparently stolen months ago, and it took the complex many months to fix. Finally we have an operational second entrance. Nonetheless, now that the school semester has begun, I've noticed an increase in cars blocking the gate, just waiting for the person behind them to use their clicker to let them in. They will not move out of the way, they simply will block the gate until you, the resident, lets them in. There is a gate box to call the person you're visiting, and there are cell phones one can call their friends with to let them through. But this has been happening now for the past 1.5 months EVERY single time I've gotten home at night. Maintenance staff will damage things and then when you ask the office staff about it, they deny it. I live alone, so I doubt it was unfriendly ghost. Plus, it happened to occur on a day that maintenance was in my apt. doing a sprinkler inspection. The tear in my rug coincided exactly with the area they needed to get to, in order to test the sprinkler. Every since then, I will not leave the top part of the door unlocked so they can't come in when I am not home. This poses problems when you need repairs done. When I first got here, I realized that after 3 consecutive washes the washing machine was tearing some of shirts. I requested a new washer or at least a different one. The maintenance guy was rude and said, "I would have just thrown the shirts away," after I showed them to him. If I was a Rockerfeller like him, maybe I could afford to, right? At move in, there were tons of issues, namely things left by the previous tenant that I don't want to get charged for, like dings on the doors, and fridge. One of the managers said, "Oh, it's supposed to look like that." But when I took one of the leasing agents, they said, that it was not supposed to look like that. Don't know what type of interior decorating class the other leasing agent took, but doors and fridges don't normally have dents on them, do they? Oh, and in placing a plant on top of a counter in the kitchen, months after move in, I found an old beer can! Can you believe that? I think the only people that would ever go up there, would be the painters....who actually did a pretty good job. Maybe they all need to start drinking on the job so they mellow out a bit. They all seem to be so impatient and in a hurry that they don't listen to requests. I called in for a request and told the office girl that I had patched the object up but it wouldn't hold until someone came to fix it. But when no one came, I called again a few days later, and the other staff member said that "staff member number one said you had fixed it!" Then why would I call to place the work order? This is a young girl who I have had this happen with on several occasions. You call to place an order, nothing happens, you call again, and it's like nothing. Alzheimer's doesn't start typically until ones 60's or later, so we know it's something else, it's called "i don't give a rat's ----itis." Yup, a new medical term that afflicts this staff once they've got you on a lease. My power has gone out 3 times in the 6 months I've been here! There's a little wind, and poof, the power is out. Don't know what that's about. The lights are not always lit outdoors, particularly at both entrances from the street. Oh, the business center, don't be fooled that this is a plus.....usually there is one or two problems co-occurring at that business center and unless someone lets the staff know, they won't do anything about it. You've all heard of diffusion of responsibility? Well, that's the phenomenom that people usually don't report a problem because they figure, someone else already must have done so. In reality, then it turns out that no one reported the problem and the staff never found out. However, the staff should also be checking on a daily basis. Typically one computer is down, or the printer doesn't work, or it has no ink, or it doesn't scan, or the scanner isn't hooked up to the computer, etc. etc. You can't fax long distance (outside the 210 area code), and no one tells you this, so you sit there thinking "something must be wrong on the other side, on the recipient's fax." So you try again like an idiot a day later, same thing. Finally, you go tell the front office staff, and they tell you, "that fax is only for local numbers." But if you want to fax something long distance, you can pay us a $1. They seem upset when you ask them to do this. So between safety issues (i.e., gate blockers, only one gate to go in and out of, etc.), fake friendliness at the beginning and then don't give a rat's --- once they have you in a one year lease, to lacking in follow through or quality assurance, to overall poor hiring practices, this is not the place for an individual who likes to see their money provide for good shelter. Furthermore, if the staff doesn't like to work with people, who most of the time are going to be calling about an apartment related issue (it is an apartment complex after all), then they should not be working in a customer oriented field. Really, why torture yourself, and the patrons. The attitude is reflective in their service. The same applies to the maintenance staff, if you aren't a jack of all trades or you simply don't want to do your work, then quit. There are so many unemployed people right now that would love to have their job and would do it exponentially better. It's sad, because this is a very beautiful property that pretty much sells itself due to location. But it's like one those greek islands that odysseus had to go through to get home, in which he was lured in by the physical beauty and first impressions, then realized it was all smoke and mirrors. At which point it was too late, he was trapped. Fortunately, and unlike a greek tragedy, one can move out of this complex after their lease is up. Just wish I would have looked at the reviews before moving here.

New Management? From bad to worse
New manager(Aug.2010) is incompetent and makes the past managers look good. This is a California based Management Support company that pushes discrimination to a whole new level and the new manager takes full advantage. Please read the Tenant Selection Criterion sheet before you apply. This sheets qualification criterion is not offered to new applicants, just the rental application. However, it covers every form of discrimination imaginable. Discrimination to this extent SHOULD NOT be supported or legal! But that's why they have a large legal team to defend themselves. The complaints are numerous and ongoing, just read the reviews. This is not an exclusive property, it's more like a college dormatory with a public pool and UTSA sports courts. These apartments are over-priced and poorly valued compared to newer apts. that offer updated floorplans, appliances, and amenities. Recently, on-call maintenance did not respond to an emergency situation involving a minor because he was away partying. In addition, whatever breaks goes unfixed for entirely too long and currently includes: community computer broken for several months, baby swing broken for several months, back access gate broken for several weeks and on and on....

I lived in Mira Vista for a 1 year lease.
I would NOT recommend this apartment complex to ANYONE except college kids. The Office Staff has always been a major problem with this complex for several years. It's not going to change because corporate refuses to recognize any issues published or otherwise. So, the buck stops at corporate and they are invisible. Yes, the UTSA college kids very frequently uses the facilities just like it's a public park and the Office Staff does not have the intellect to think of any effective way to control it and also the corporate is not willing to drop a buck ($) for better security measures. It's so sad that a complex located in one of the nicest parts of San Antonio treat their complex like they built it for college kids. The maintenance Staff guys are OK but it's the Office Staff that really sucks. Don't let their fake kindness foll you if you want to go sign a lease. They will tell you ANYTHING to get you to sign but once you have committed, good luck getting any competent and adult attention to any problems that may arise.

Not for grown adults or children under 18
I lived in these apartments for a little over a year, I wanted out of the lease so badly that I wished I could have bought my way out. Half of the staff is friendly and the other has an attitude that is uncalled for in the professional world. The staff hassles over a bicycle on the patio but allow frequent party groups from UTSA college in to the pool area as though it is a public park. When I reported cars following residents in the gate and driving right to the pool area, the staff simply said, "we'll do a sweep later to see who doesn't belong". I later saw the maintenance guys hanging out with the public party. Unreal how they allow the sand volleyball players to wash off the sweat and sand in the pool and hot tub, while we were in it. It is strickly a place for the 18 to 25 year old crowd that doesn't mind large bugs in the apartment or repeat repairs for the same problem. I woke one night with water running from the apartment upstairs into my tub and when they came after a week and a half to repair, they left a big drywall mess in the bathroom. When moving out, one office staff offered a paint sample to touch up and another asked the Manager and they simply said go to a Paint store and buy a gallon yourself. Just a bad experience and I waited out the lease and moved to a more mature community.

grown ups and families stay away if you have children
Right across is Fiesta and you deal with fireworks from 9 pm to 9:40 pm (every evening). If you have a baby or a toddler, I can only suggest to stay away from this complex since your baby or toddler will wake up scared from his/her sleep and they do not and cannot get used to such scarey noises (own experience). The management did not inform us about this loud event that we have to experience every evening. This is our second summer here, the fireworks starts in May goes until September. The place is full with drunk teenagers and few drunk adults every evening and weekend. It is a very noisy and disturbing place, and I have never felt at home here. Even though the first impression was great, it is actually like a big dormitory. We found a single family house with its own swimming pool in a better area for the same rent and we are happy and excited to leave this place. We will not miss this place for one second.
