After I renewed my lease, it seems like everything started to go downhill. There seems to be a lot more people living at the complex than before, a lot more vehicles are in the parking areas, so unable to park near your home. A neighbor moved out recently and he feels like the complex is going to be a Section 8 complex soon.

My husband and I just moved to this complex so far we are very pleased with the community and the staff! The complex is also in a great location! When we first arrived we were shown one of the models and fell in love with the apartment immediately!

We went in on Sunday to see what units were available, we were given all the information we needed in order to complete the application process, and were ready to move in by Tuesday. Great service from Paul at Spring/Woodlands area office...

So far little complaints other than my appliance troubles. Property is still excellently located and appears clean. I just may not renew my lease if I continue having problems with my dryer that cannot be resolved. Most apartments are willing to let me provide my own washer dryer set because it is less cost for them in terms of maintenance. It seems like backwards logic that I can't just bring my own dryer instead of them spending money fixing the one they provide.

I love this community. The apartments are so nice, are kept up with and everyone is so friendly. Very quiet complex, great for families, and people of all ages. Office staff is very friendly, parking can sometimes be hard to find but overall great.

Loved this apartment while I was living there. It wasn't until I moved out that I realized how terrible this place is. I had to break my lease because I relocated to a different city for my job. They performed a walk through and notified me almost 2 months after that there was pet damage (I don't own a pet) and that they would be charging me nearly $500 in repairs. This place will do just about anything to get money from you. Parking is awful if you enjoy going out on the weekends and sounds like upstairs neighbors walked with cinderblocks for shoes.

It is ok, the staff is friendly and good location to live. The trash service is a little much for $30/month, should have an option to refuse the service. Only down side to living in the apartment and I do not use the trash service. I think it is lazy way to remove the trash from your apartment. Thanks

It has been a very peaceful and safe community as long as I have lived here. The office staff is very helpful and kind and maintenance has never failed me. I hope the Management Company does not let the tenants down and so far I give them an A+. This complex is kept very clean all of the time. It is a place I am proud for my friends and relatives to visit.

secure quiet adequate parking good neighbors, mostly poor handling of common area trash units around picnic areas some noisy neighbors very well kept pet waste areas several "wet" areas where sprinkler areas are not attended to regularly, which are a problem for the regular mowing process

We have been living here past six months, no issues until today which is a shocker. My husband and I woke up and see that someone stole all 4 wheels of our car and left it standing on two rocks..we are so upset and didn't think it would happen in these apartments.. Overall apartments are nice but security wise after today I don't know..the management should have more cameras installed or patrolling security officer!

Do NOT be deceived by this place. Although the grounds are beautiful and the units are newer than other apartments in the area, it is not worth dealing with the lack of professionalism from the staff. They do not care about their tenants, they only care about making extra money. You can expect little to no customer service and as someone who has previously worked in the apartment industry, I know the importance of having some flexibility with tenants and any issues that arise. This was never the case with Park at Northgate or the Property Manager. Speaking of the Property Manager, I would guess the only reason she is in her position is due to the fact that she will charge ridiculous fees with no hesitation and trains her staff to do the same. I once disputed a fee and her lack of professionalism through her demeanor during our meeting was so evident that I realized this sad truth: she truly doesn't care about anyone who is actually residing at the property. Note to the property management company: making money is obviously important, but it is much more important to hire a staff (especially a property manager) who will always treat their tenants with the utmost respect and courtesy. To any prospective tenants - take a good look at the rating for this place and please take all the reviews into consideration before you make the mistake of signing a lease. To the Park at Northgate staff - should you decide to respond to my review with a generic "we really care and are here to discuss any issues you had with us" message, please know that it will not make any difference nor will it give me back the wasted time and money that I invested into this awful place for over a year.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I can't wait for our lease to run out and honestly the benefits of breaking our lease outweigh the cons. They hate ----- people. I've been fined twice for leaving my car in the same parking spot for two days in a row while I was out of town. The people above me are pigs and thanks to them I have roaches. I've had maintenance out here more times than I can count and it doesn't help. Maintenance also has a tendency to leave your door unlocked when they leave your unit. The valet trash service is not an option and they will pick on you about the dumbest things. I got a notice about how we aren't allowed to keep our trash container out anymore, that it needs to be left in the apartment until collection time. Not the trash itself, THE CONTAINER. Let me also say that this place seemed fine when we first looked at it, once we moved in nothing in the apartment worked correctly and the water is tinted brown. This place is a joke, I'd rather go back to places where you hear gunshots than live at this godforsaken complex.

So we are looking for an apartment and we use this site as a bible to find a place. I was hesitant to go here because of the rating. But, we went anyway a 1 bedroom is 970 plus 30 for trash. I asked if we can opt out of the trash she said no. So 1000 for a tiny 1 bedroom. Don't even get me started on the crazy high pet fees. What I don't understand is if I'm paying 700 in pet fees plus 50 a month pet rent! what am I paying for they don't even have a pet park so what am I paying for?? ------- has been in leasing for a while but her people skills don't reflect that. It would be great if the fees weren't so crazy high. We will unfortunately be looking else where

I lived here for a year. I couldn't wait to leave. My rent was $820, but the added fees made it $925. I was told that the water would be around $50 a month, but it went up to $80 per month. I was rarely there, so I know I was not using that much water. They also charge a mandatory $30 valet trash fee as well as an extra $15 for regular trash. The apartments are fairly nice with nice landscaping and a decent gym. The area is very quiet with a nice park across the street. If money isn't an issue, it's a decent place to live. However, I was on a budget and did not expect the extra fees.

I fell in love with my apartment when I lived here! It was a tad small but for an independent individual, it felt like home for me! There's not a day that goes by that I don't miss this place! Although I enjoy where I'm at right now, this apartment was always my "home" for me! The area was peaceful, quiet, and very pretty scenery with all of the trees! The parking can get a little crazy for some people, but I couldn't complain because I had my own parking spot. The management seemed pretty nice, and although maintenance took their time to come fix your problem, at lease they would--it just wasn't always guaranteed right away. The walls seemed pretty thin as well, I would always hear my neighbor crying or screaming, so I would just need to mute my TV & eavesdrop a little haha. Nonetheless, I loved it there & I wish I didn't have to move from there.

I have been living here for 3 years now. It's quiet and nice. It is safe, as there hasn't been any substantial crime in the last 3 years that I know of. Neighbors are nice and quiet. Parking is limited after 10PM at night, but that's typical of any apt. complex. I enjoy the large pool area and the lovely green area running down the middle of the complex (as it feels more homely). Maintenance calls are always fixed within about 1-2 days. The only negative things are the following: valet trash (which is non-negotiable) and the high water bill (I pay 60$ for a one bedroom apt.). I didn't like the valet trash because I am unavailable to put it out from 6-8PM due to my work schedule. They are quite sticklers about fining you if your trash is put out before 6PM. Therefore, I was unhappy that I have to pay 30$ a month for a service I can't use. I gave the staff only 3 stars because my lease renewal letter was late. Other than that, I would recommend.

I would not suggest moving here. Its just an ok apartment, but for the price you can get a whole lot nicer one just down the road. The clientele is really going down hill and parking is atrocious. They charge an astronomical amount for trash services, and the water bills are crazy high. And the amount they charge in general for what you get is not worth it. Paul at the front desk is nice and helpful, but overall I would not recommend this apartment complex.

I moved into Park at Northgate over a year ago and love my apartment and that it is located in a neighborhood. Since it is tucked away it feels more secure being a single mother. The staff is always friendly and helpful when I go to pick up packages or put in maintenance requests in which they are prompt to come out. Overall after going through a divorce I have been happy here and would recommend to anyone looking in this area.

The reason I would not recommend this complex is due to the insane amount of unspoken cost. When I first spoke to the leasing agent there was no mention of a pet "deposit", when I go to sign the lease there is suddenly a $400 non-refundable "deposit" on top of the $40 a month pet rent. I chalked this up to just a mistake, but then I looked at my rent and saw that the water bill is divided among the complex. So where I was paying $17 a month for water at my previous complex, I am now paying 50. You always pay a bit more for a gated community, but a month has not passed where the gate has not been broken sitting wide open, often throughout the duration of the weekend. Parking use to be pretty good, but here recently it has been a crap shoot. The complex itself is well kept, quiet, and a great location, but with Exon moving in right across the street rent has already gone up over $100 a month or more. You can find just as nice, larger, and newer apartment just a few miles further north.

RUN NOW!! DON'T LIVE HERE!!!!
I've only stayed here for 5 months on a corporate housing arrangement and I can tell you I've had enough. My first week I parked in the wrong spot and I got a nasty letter from a neighbor. He then proceeded to park his car blocking my exit..on a work day. The walls are so thin that I can hear every footsteps upstairs. Not long after, the lock on my patio door was stuck. I can't even get through the gate security by dialing my apt. code. The amenities are locked up unless it's business hours. Management are so unhelpful and rude it's a chore having to speak to them. Rent is way overpriced, you can get a much nicer apt. in the Galleria area, Woodlands area, everywhere else in Houston for cheaper.

Great...but they nickel and dime you
This place is so much better than where I used to live in the ------. They have wonderful amenities here like a clean pool and a great exercise room with all the equipment accounted for and working. They do a continental breakfast every month on a Saturday. And it is an extremely safe place (you very rarely hear sirens). The only bad thing that happened to me was my umbrella was stolen. Compared to gunshots outside my window I'll take a stolen umbrella any day. One of the things that they have recently implemented is this valet garbage collection where you put your garbage in this brown container that they glued to the ground outside your door. They are charging the tenants for that. So we are charged for the garbage collection and the "valet" thing which is, I think, thirty extra dollars. PLUS the rent went up! My mom said they did that to keep the riff-raff out, but if they keep how their going they'll keep everyone out!

not that good
Just recently moved in. It appeared to be quiet when we first visited this apartment complex. First day, I was shocked by the noisy A/C compressor outside my bedroom, I did not sleep for the first night. Then I bought ear plug, it helped a lot but yesterday, there were people talking loudly at the patio and waked me up around 3am. It appears that a group of young people were partying. I did not have a good sleep as a result yesterday. That was just the fifth night. The 4 AC unit outside my bedroom window are quite old, so that they generated more than tolerable noise. Windows is poor to isolation outside noise. There are air plane, train noise addtion to the noise I mentioned previously. Other problems: poor fitness center, poor air smell(I suppose it should be fresh air, but I often breath smelly air, I don't know what it is), the water is not good and contains too much XXX that make it look like white, not good for cooking and drinking. The washer has bad smell inside. Don't rent a one bed room apartment here, if possible. The two bedroom are quieter, only 2 AC outside. The price for the apartments are changing every day, which is another thing I don't like.

Great in the beginning.
I lived here for approximately a year and it was great when I first moved in. The staff was wonderful and everything was taken care of proptly. In the past few months I have had several issues with my billing (charging too much). I have had it fixed several times and each time I asked where a charge came from they could not figure it out. I figure if you are billing me you should know where the charge came from. We have just recently moved and that is a whole issue in itself. We couldn't break our lease but rather had to pay it out which is fine, except once again I have miscellanous charges. Overall it was a wonderful place to live but they need a new person in charge of billing because that problem got old really quick.
