Loved my 1st year Hated my 2nd
My first year was fine. The office staff was friendly, knew me and my boyfriend by name. Never had a problem with neighbors, crime, maintenance, etc.

At some point the management and whole office staff changed and a whole new experience started. No one knows you or cares to know you. I have to wait 20-30 minutes to talk to anyone in the office then when I finally do they are usually rude. Theres only 1 person in the office that has been nice to me. I had to wait at least 6 months for them to come fix my washer AND dryer, both were broken. The first 2 times I asked the lady must not have wrote it down because the third time a different lady was in the office and looked back at the records and said they didn't have anything saying it was broken. Once she wrote it down it got fixed within the week, they just had to order the washer. So I don't think it was maintenance's fault (which I've never had a problem with-they are always friendly quick and informative) it was the office's fault forā¦Ā See More>swifterthree99

Here goes nothing.
Did you know that I saw proof from a former resident that this property is in violation of 17 Health and Building codes. They have had several pit bull attacks, including where they attacked small dogs, and a police officer. The dog attacking the officer was shot on the spot.

They just had two huge drug busts thanks to the good citizens like myself who reported the apartment complex there.

Their beautiful park environment is perfect except for the pond that is green with bags and trash floating in it... that to include carpeting and wall insulation.... oh, and the fountain doesn't work anymore.

The leasing office signed for my Best Buy DVD's last week and lost it. (I am sure the movies will be part of their movie library in a few.)

Last month, the trash dump had overflown and residents were forced to stack trash all outside of the bin.... I also know for a fact that when I moved out November 1, so did 15 Other residents, three in which had been there 4 or more years because the place has turned into a dump.

Oh, and alot of the outside lights are broken or do notā¦Ā See More>simplytitan

Ashley Park
I have read what everyone else wrote and I think at times people are writing from the seat of their pants or out of sheer anger. I'll be honest so that anyone looking for an apartment here can try and judge fairly whether or not this is the place for them. I moved here in Jan 06 and since then the management team has changed. Before the change the staff was great, the maintenance guy lived on site and I had one problem during this time. My a/c went out on a Sunday and he still came out and looked at it but was unable to fix it until the next day.

There was a time early this summer where things kind of fell off. The on site maintenance guy moved and quit or was fired. And the front office changed. The grounds didn't look to well and it seemed like the place was ready to turn into St. John's Wood (over priced and under cared for). I think this may have been a growing period for them. However they hired 2 new maintenance guys who I have met and are pretty friendly. They are professional and fixed myā¦Ā See More>anonymous

TENANTS ARE FINE.
i have to disagree with one tenant who wrote in that the quality of the new tenants coming in to Ashley park is going down along with the complex condition.
I have lived here since the end of 2004 and all of my neighbors are very pleasent and always helpful. Ie: I left my stove on for hours and forgot, worried about an apartment fire after hours but i couldn't reach anyone who could get inside my nit to help me out after hours.
My neighbor took it upon herself to call the fire department and an emergency number she had for maintainance and within minuets they arrived to let me in. Luckily i had no fire but a few hours more and things could have been worse.
I have had people in my personal life stalk me and according to conversations with my neighbors they are always watching to make sure i get home okay and if they don't see me for a few days they always call to chekc up on me. I like the fact that i live in an area where people are concerned, alert, and always willing toā¦Ā See More>yankees2159

Horrible
I have lived here 18 months. I have had a flood ruin about $1500.00 worth of my property. When I addressed the flood to the management, they told me it was due to the type of pipes they have in the walls. They said they are replacing them as they burst.

I had a terrible spider problem. Every day, I was killing at least five spiders.

They now have a new management company that seems bothered if you go into the office for any reason other then to pay your rent.

I had a drug using neighbor that I told the management about for about a year and they have done nothing about it. I finally had to take matters into my own hands and got the police involved.

I strongly advise against anyone moving here.

OMG.. NEVER DO THIS.
Sure, the place LOOKED happy, but the false promises were exactly that false.

Here is the run down.

1. Maintenance looking for a leak kicked (with their foot) an 6x4 foot section out of my living room wall in which stayed that way for 3 weeks.

2. Staff re-ran my credit 4 times without my permission upon fidning out I had lost my job and wanting to make sure I qualified.
In which I had to get a lawyer involved when they tried to make me re-sign my lease three months into living there, and tried to make me pay an additional security deposit. MY RENT HAS NEVER BEEN LATE AND THE APARTMENT IS SPOTLESS.

3. Roommate gets injured in death trap of a pool when side collapes. He gets a "Sorry".... and a whole pile of --------.

4. Tanning bed, broken for 6 months

5. Car Car center is not FREE as promised.

6. They always run out of gas for their grills.

7. Drug deals go on late night in the parking lot.

8. Leasing office lost my cell phone that was delivered UPS.... quote "I musta gave it to someone else."

9. Parking is limited due to triple parking Lincolns...ā¦Ā See More>amyzan

A good thing gone sour
I moved into Ashley Park in 2003, when it was run by other management. Ever since the place got bought out, the management has gone down hill, and so have the tenants and the over all quality of the place. There are very annoying residents (as if they take anybody just to get the space filled). Also we were essentially lied to when we moved in because we were told that once we are with Ashley Park that we could smoothly transfer to any other apartment under the same management. We tried to do that but was told by the other apartment that it did not apply. They're raising rent up again for us on this next lease and we are seriously considering a move-out. It's time for a better living environment.

Carolyn Dawson - Apt 208
I have been a tennant @ Ashley for 2 years. The first 6 months were horrible. My neighbors upstairs were loud. The next set were even worse. I have had 3 floods while here and 1 water leak in the Dining area (2 floods @ apt 508 and leakage in dining are in 508). The last flood was in Apt 208. I have never asked for any relief of rent and when I do Im told NO! in a very rude manner. I pay my rent on time each month. I am a quiet tennant - never cause problems. After advising the manager that I was going to call 12 on your Side I was told I could have $200 off this months rent. I was told that my apt would be fixed on today 5/4. As of now 3:49 I still have 3 blowers going and a water machine going. I have 2 holes in my wall in the bathroom. I like this apartment but the treatment I have received has been terrible. I would not recommend that anyone stay at this apartment. Iā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Awesome Place
I have lived here for about 5 months and I think this place is awesome! They have two beautiful lakes with lots of ducks. I would recommend this place to anyone that needs a place to live. The office staff is also great. They are always so friendly and quick to take care of my problems.
