Conway Gardens is a perfect place to live if you are searching for apt. living. Have lived here for 10 yrs. & have had complete satisfaction with all the staff members & maintenance. So far as I'm concerned, this is the best managed apt. I have ever lived in. I would recommend this apt. complex to anyone.

So far it's been a good experience. Staff is super friendly and quick to respond and help in any way. Apartments, though old, are well maintained both inside and out. Though I would've preferred a larger second bedroom in the 2 bdrm apartment, apartments are spacious and not at all cramped. Looking forward to spending a year and so on here.

Great location, access to major roads which facilitate commute. Near by shopping areas and restaurants. Easy communication with the lending office staff to expedite lease for property while out of state.

It is a quite, clean and prompt community. Neighbors will be neighbors sometimes you can't escape the noise all the time. Animal friendly and close to a lot of stores. Great location for everything .

Pros: Professional management and maintenance, lovely lawns with old trees, child- and pet- friendly community, neighborhood diversity (hard to find in Williamsburg), safety, onsite/in apartment laundry, very close to W&M, CW, 64, shopping, swimming pool and playground Cons: Older buildings with smaller common rooms, bit of a walk to the car with unassigned (though always available) parking, noise penetrates to lower apartments

Floors and walls are VERY thin. If you do not want to hear your neighbor's conversations or televisions and feel their music shaking your apartment, look elsewhere. Units are not fitted for washers/dryers; you can rent a washing machine that hooks to your sink and a dryer that vents lint everywhere, or lug your laundry to and from the very few laundry facilities on site. Additionally, there have been periodic problems with notifications for pest control appointments - sometimes they do not come, and when they do, they may provide inaccurate information (when the apartment must be vacated due to fogging, etc.). I have only stayed due to the convenience of the location, but will not be renewing my lease when it expires.

Conway Gardens is a quiet and well maintained community with great neighbors, beautiful pool and lots of green space. The apartments are well layed out and spacious. The location is convenient to beach, Busch Gardens shopping and historic sites.

You can hear everything in the apartment building which takes getting used to. Some of the repairs were done too quickly and not done well. I moved in from another state, staff extremely helpful in making the process run smoothly.

This is a wonderful community and staff. They are swift and courteous with maintenance issies. The location is close to everything, but far enough away to not be in the jumble of the city. I highly recommend Conway.

The office stuff is good, they are on top of letting you know about important information or when events are going. The apartments are clean, wonderful open floor plan and lot of natural light. The grounds are keep clean. The parking is a bit of a problem. There just seems to be not enough in one area and too much in another. But there is plenty of spaces.

The environment in this area is pretty good and there is bus traveling around this area. But the rent price is a little high and rise every year. I hope the price can keep stable. Except the price, everything is good.

Great place to live. I really love it here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The condition of my apartment is great. Have not had any issues since I moved in back in the summer time. The neighborhood is super quiet. The location is great. I highly recommend moving into Conway Gardens!

Terrible place to rent. Cockroaches. They literally fall from the ceilings. Mold - inside the bathroom vanity, around the baseboards, around the AC vents. (Maintenance will just paint over it with Killz) Constant construction. Had to replace the water pipes twice which was a huge inconvenience for days on end with plastic tarps and drywall dust everywhere. Always getting notices to move your cars for some kind of fence painting or tree cutting. AC pipes in ceiling leaked constantly requiring repairs. Repairs then done by Conway maintenance and got water everywhere. Noise is horrible - can hear everything. Neighbors above sound like elephants on your ceiling. Neighbors nextdoor you can hear their water and music. Maintenance staff is friendly and kind and usually shows up in a timely manner. Kitchen sink clogged constantly. The place is dirty to the point that even if you cleaned it would still appear filthy. Got a notice while I was living here that someone put human feces in the community washer/dryers. The coin operated machines are junky and don't really do a great job despite costing 1.75 to do one load and another 1.75 to dry it. The entire laundry room was closed for months on end for renovations as well after flooding.

Overall, it's been a great place to live. I do not regret moving here. It's conveniently located right off of 199 and is very close to I-64. The only issue is the first-come, first-serve parking situation. If you work late in the evenings, you will not find a spot when coming home.

I just wanted to thank Jamal who drive down from Richmond, VA at about 8PM on a Sunday to replace my refrigerator because it had died. He was super friendly and helpful.

Been great so far in the complex and in the apartment. Workers and administrative people have also been very helpful. Only problem left is the ceiling leak and possible mold build up. Other than that every issue was resolved extremely fast which is great.

After moving in, I realized the walls are very thin, and I can hear my neighbors flushing the toilet and turning on the water. I can also hear my neighbors every move upstairs. It almost sounds like the person is going to fall through the ceiling into my apartment. These noises are very distracting, especially when I am trying to study. Lastly, one of my neighbors smokes, and the scent travels through the vents into my room and other areas in my apartment. I would suggest that the property owners work to improve the infrastructure and ventilation of present and future homes. Otherwise, the staff has been helpful in answering my questions.

# - Grounds: the complex always looks well kept, except for the yard in front of our unit (1000) is no grass, leaves and sticks are not raked or "blown", and it resembles an unkempt neighborhood. This has been an on-going comment from us for almost 8 years. Every time it rains sand and mulch flow down onto the sidewalk and parking area. The area needs to be properly tilled, new soil applied, seeded and covered with straw to keep birds and squirrels from digging in it. The tree doesn't need to be removed - just ALL the mulch around it removed, new mulch applied with space around the trunk to allow the tree to "breathe."I wish for our lawn to be as pleasant to the eye as is the rest of the Conway Garden Apartments green space.

I love the location of Conway Gardens. I like the green space on the property. I find it a safe place to live for a community that is not gated. The commute to work and to shopping is excellent. The neighbors for the most part have been pleasant and without the drama that can be found living on top of families. Only once was a family removed from the complex for multiple calls to police for domestic violence.

Great place. Very clean and affordable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Maintenance is also very responsive to work orders as well as friendly. The location is ideal and is not more than 15 minutes from anything you need. The only negative side is that if you live on a bottom floor, you can hear the people in the apartment above you fairly easily, especially when they walk.

You get what you pay for. As a student, it's reasonable. Many non-smoking buildings smell like smoke. The walls are really thin and any movement upstairs sounds like stomping. No washer in unit for 1bd, the laundry machines get expensive. You can rent one month to month, although that's sorta pricey, too. Cars are recently being broken into and it's an older place so things are beginning to break. The maintenance is extremely nice, though. It is not really within walking distance like it states, as it is about 2 miles to campus/downtown. Also, I have a hard time believing our 1bd/1bath is 800+ sq/feet. Overall, I guess "ok" for the price.

Level of noise we hear from apartments next to us is really frustrating. We can hear them talking and watching TV. It's not them being too loud, it is the walls that are so thin that affect out privacy. Other than this issue, my overall experience has been good.

i have enjoyed living in this apartment complex. The staff is nice, parking isnt a problem, and the apartment provides basically everything one needs from an apartment. Washer and dryers can be rented so laundry can be done in the apartment, however they are not the best. Also the buildings are old and show some of the normal wear and tear one would expect in an older building. The pool is gorgeous, and has a life guard which is great but the pool is only available when the life guard is present which makes it hard to use during the summer after work.

I've lived here for three years and overall love the convenience to work and shopping. Noisy neighbors is the only down side. If the walls and clings were more sound proof, this apartment would be perfect! Pool is nice and grounds are well maintained.
