Every time there has been something I needed maintenance wise, they have been on top of it and fixed/replaced everything quickly and efficiently. Everyone in the office is very nice, understanding and helpful. The grounds are beautiful. The only thing I would say about Conway Gardens that needs attention is the parking situation. Sometimes I have to park my car on the grass and go up the curb to do so. My alignment on my car is a little off because of this. There are just no spots sometimes at night and that is the only place I am able to park. Overall though I have liked living here a lot. It is very convenient for me as well.

I love our apartment. Lexi in the office was super helpful during the entire process. So far everything is in beautiful condition, our neighbors are quiet, and the place is pet friendly. The landscaping around the buildings is beautiful. Our only complaint is we have to walk a little way from the nearest parking to our apartment.

It was awesome. We really like Mr. James. He is a wonderful man. If ever I needed to have something repaired it would be him doing it. Also the ladys that work in and out the office are very pleasant and courteous. I haven t lived here but a short time but it is a great place for me and my grandkids.

Office staff were friendly, helpful, and punctual. Response times to issues ranged in a few hours to days, which was really great. The maintenance staff were also friendly; they helped me by showing me how to use the sink-fed washer. The price for floorspace, given the location, is actually quite good. The apartment was clean on the inside and out. My only real complaint was that my downstairs neighbor could apparently hear me walking around my apartment, and this kept him up at night as we had radically different schedules. While I felt badly about causing him to lose days of sleep, I'm also not sure that simply walking from one room or another should ever be so loud; for those curious, I weighed about 160-170 pounds, so my weight wasn't so unusual. To me, this is a situation where the staff and maintenance team are great, but the construction of the buildings themselves was mediocre, despite having a modern veneer.

They're usually friendly and strive to provide good customer service but there have been many maintenance issues and when they contract out for upgrades they do not care about causing major inconveniences to residents. I don't believe this community is currently worth the amount of the rent they charge considering many units still look outdated despite the new looking features pictured on their site and the amount of pest Issues I have dealt with on and off since moving in. This is an okay community for short term living but I don't recommend staying very long.

Nice community I think. Closed to W&M and I can go to school by bike. Cost is cheap because we 4 guys share one 3-bed room. In addition, the apt has dryer and wash machine so that you can wash by yourself in your home, without costing outside. I can save a lot of money for us students.

I have had a very pleasant experience with my lodging at Conway. The staff are friendly and the community is courteous. The apartments are very nice as well as the amenities. I have had trouble with bugs because it is an older complex and the carpets, windows, and kitchen could do with much needed upgrades.

I have lived here for eleven years and will continue to live here for the forseeable future. The staff are friendly and attentive. Maintenance calls are answered promptly. The grounds are well maintained and lovely. Building and apartment renovations are scheduled regularly. I've lived in apartments most of my life. I'm impressed with the frequency of renovations/maintenance upgrades. I highly recommend Conway Garden Apartments to anyone looking for a well kept, clean, easy to live in residence.

It's a nice location, close to the College of William and Mary and highway 199. The grounds are kept up very well and inside of the apartment looks nice and renovated despite being older buildings. Very satisfied with my move in experience!!

For the most part the community feels safe, has wonderful tenants and good staff. We find it to be comfortable and nice here. Our only complaint would be the shoveling of snow off the sidewalks ... the contractors do not do a good job at all.

Everyone has been very helpful and professional. We are really happy with our decision to move in! The recently upgraded apartments are very modern and the layout of the apartment works perfectly for us. The community itself is nice and we have had no problems thus far.

Its a quiet complex, friendly neighbors, close to shopping center, bus routes. friendly office & maintenance staff. Playground and Pool on property. Pet friendly. Older complex, electrical had limited service for modern day appliances, also noise from neighbors is often heard due to no soundproofing between walls or floors. One of the few places that plows when snow makes its rare appearance. Uses a landscaping service to maintain grounds. Ample non-assigned parking. Washer & Dryers available on the property. Interstate access a few miles away. Residents are Military, Colonial Williamsburg employees and William & Mary faculty & students. A Unique community to live in.

There have been no problems with the community at all. Our neighbors are very nice and we haven't had any problems with noise or safety or anything else of the sort. Conway Gardens is a good place to live and a very convenient option for college students like us.

I have lived at this apartment complex for almost a year now. My lease is up and I will not be extending it. My experience has been a mixed one. The week we moved in, they had to do maintenance in our bathroom to put in a new bathtub that restricted us from showering during the majority of the day for three days. The renovations were poorly done and resulted in unaesthetic plaster around the entire tub, chipping off the door, nicks in our walls and uneven paint. When we informed the office the renovation was done poorly, they acknowledged our frustrations but did nothing. One of the major issues during my experience here was the cockroach problem. They showed up within the first couple of weeks after we moved in. We informed the office and they added us to a bimonthly spray list. This meant maintenance came in once every two weeks to spray the apartment. The cockroaches would disappear for a few days and come back within a week. They were all over and we usually found 2-4 each week before they came to spray again. They stopped spraying once the weather warmed up, but the bugs are still here. I find at least one every week or so. I have also had problems with their maintenance system. The maintenance staff is very friendly but ultimately unhelpful. We experienced problems with out fridge within the first month of moving in. The freezer/refrigerator system was broken which caused leaking from melted ice from the freezer to flood the entire fridge and drench our food. We have had to throw away our food several times because of this problem. Maintenance came several times to tell us how they thought we could fix it (not block the freezer vents, reset the fridge by unplugging it and not opening the doors for a day). These did not work. We told the office who did not end up doing anything. We accepted this and told them it was fine since we were leaving but they clearly needed to replace the fridge for the next tenants. I was extremely disappointed by the lack of action in this situation. Another major annoyance was their constant work on water pipes, water heaters, etc., There were several times (five or six) when our water would just not work. We were given no warning or rational reason. They said the county was working on water lines, although I have never experienced this problem with other apartment complexes in Williamsburg. They would randomly "need to work fix the water heater" for several hours which meant we would have no hot water. Each time, they would be unable to give us an estimate of how long we would be without water. Sometimes it would be a few hours, sometimes it would be over half the day. As other reviews have mentioned, the walls are very thin. I can hear entire conversations by my neighbors. The stairway area constantly smells and is not well-kept. Positives: mailing services will leave packages with the office if you aren't in your apartment so you don't have to wait until the next day to receive your package just because you weren't there. The outside area has been decent. There was a lot of construction for a couple months, which caused a lot of noise constantly, but is expected at some point with most apartment complexes.

My experience has been a very poor one. Management is inattentive to problems and the complex itself is in a poor state of repairs. Peace and quiet have been unattainable during my lease term. The constant construction and the barnyard smell of the complex due to the burgeoning pet population have been a source of constant irritation for me.

We have lived here since December, 2014, and absolutely love it!!! The management staff is awesome. Maintenance is right on top of things, and make repairs quickly. So far, we have absolutely no complaints with anything, or anyone here. They went above and beyond when it came to getting us approved to even be approved to rent here, offering us several solutions to achieve approval. The staff is very supportive and very helpful. They are kind, courteous, and extremely friendly when we have talked to them. The apartments themselves are clean, updated, quiet, and well taken care of. We love living here, and plan on staying for several years.
