Nice apartments, poor service. The staff at Lynhaven seems to think it is their mission to scold residents, collect large fines, and generally make their lives more difficult. Complaints are not taken seriously, even as egregious incidents of package theft pile up. Essential services like lockouts are either not provided or used as an excuse to collect more fines. Could be a nice apartment complex if the management was more determined to provide a good living experience.

Nice place to leave with safe neighborhoods and good maintenance and clean equipment and facilities, the units are very big with good light and many closets and a lot of places for stuff in the kitchen and bathroom

Great place to be! The Staff is very helpful/nice. The amenities are awesome and very well kept. We're very close to both Santana Row and DT Campbell with access to hundreds of different restaurants/stores. Couldn't ask for a better space.

Avoid at all costs. The separation between apartments is paper thin. You will be hearing ear-numbing stomping nonstop the ENTIRE time. There are also mysterious loud explosion noises constantly that shake the whole unit like an earthquake, presumably from people slamming the heavy doors (management cannot be bothered to fix the door hydraulics.) You really can’t enjoy any hobbies or get any rest while you’re here, it’s effectively a torture chamber you pay to be in.

I’ve lived in Greystar property previously but Lynhaven is the worst. I moved in just a little over one month and wasn’t able to physically see the unit because I was out of the state. I was locked out after hour because the door was not responding. I waited two hours to get in eventually. The maintenance guy was helpful but the person who picked up my call request was rude. He hang up my call abruptly! I missed an important meeting because the locked out. When I reflected to the manager the next day, she kept saying that everyone faces this issue and her manager from Greystar even told her that if the residents face issue with door malfunctioning, they should contact locksmith directly instead of waiting for the maintenance. I feel this is really absurd and insecure living in this property.

The apartment is overall new and at great location for me, but management is really disappointing. I have been reporting the severe noise problem to leasing and security team since I moved in last summer and I got no solution on this till the unit moved out, I spend time and money on therapist for my interrupted sleep, moved around for more than 4 weeks last year as this could not be solved. The staff at front desk are not always welcoming, Clay was really good but I haven't seen him for a long time, other staff I could say, they are not professional at what they are doing from their altitudes and knowledge, wish they could get trained better. Another concern is the valet trash, it's an add-on but requires all of us to pay for it, valet workers are not arriving on time and we got 'damage fees' (which I'm really questioning what have we damaged?) upon not estimating their arrival time and failed to collect back trash if we 'missed' them. I am paying over 65 on trash per month and getting 'damage fees' on this barely used 'service', is this reasonable and legal? I am throwing trash by myself right now, I want to unsubscribe this 'service'.

It’s a nice complex and management office are nice and friendly. But!!! Do not leave here if you care about your safety! I know you are working with a third party for security but they are do not do their job!

I have lived Lynhaven Apartments for almost two years, since the apartments opened. There are a number of reasons why I would not recommend moving into Lynhaven Apartments by Santana Row in San Jose, California.

It has great amenities to enrich resident's life. Especially, club room, swimming pool, bbq area, and fitness area are really amazing. In addition, there are a lot of bbq spots provided to have fun with friends.

Leasing Staff is lovely, Maintenance staff is hard working and kind. All requests are done in a timely manner and the team continues to do their best. Getting coffee in the morning and having a warm welcome is a nice way to start your morning! Go Lynhaven

The units, facilities and life here is great. Quality of the units is solid. The constant garage issues need resolving. The grounds need an upgrade at the south side and more security for the south side entrance.

The property management is rude and unfriendly. I have had issues with my upstairs neighbor being extremely loud at all hours of the day and nothing was done. I complained twice - the problem still continues. It took maintenance exactly 2 weeks to fix my cabinet hinge which has been fixed 3 times.

Overall experience has been great. The people and community has been friendly and inviting. The only thing that could make Lynhaven even better would be adding a cafe or restaurants to the empty stalls near reception.

Some of your staffs are nice but I do not like the fact that some promise things and not follow through. Again, your maintenance is very slow. I was told there is only one man working for over 80 requests? Package need to be delivered in the proper place. Residents are paying for the parcel pending so you need to make sure that the packages are being delivered to the right place. Trash hasn't been picked up twice - way too many restrictions. Why am I paying for the service if it is not getting done? I would not recommend this apartment community to others unless things improve.

It’s good, the build is really pretty, The amenities are great, also the events are really cool. Some of those people in the office are rude or they don’t like us because we had so many problems to sign our lease so maybe she doesn’t like us and she always where do we look for another person to talk and it’s kind of hard because they are kind of slow to resolve a problem. But besides that we are having a good experience and we are in love with our apartment

Do not live here. Take a look at the one-star reviews on Google and see how many likes they got vs. how many likes the 5-star reviews got. It's pretty clear that most residents don't like this place. It's crazily expensive to live here for no reason. I will move out as soon as I can. Although the buildings were newly built in 2020, they are cheaply made and look good only on the outside. You will hear so much noise from both downstairs and upstairs neighbors. There's no pest control. Ants are everywhere no matter how careful you are with food storage. Safety is a big concern. Car break-ins happen all the time. There are physical signs as well as management's emails reminding people to hide valuables and lock cars. One of the builds' lobby door was smashed one time as well. To make things worse, management allows Airbnb hosting here, so there's more risk of random strangers coming in and out of the community. The amenities are broken all the time. Garage gates is constantly under repair. Roof is constantly under repair. There're gas leak and water shutdown. The call system at the gate is broken all the time, so it's impossible to have food delivered to your door. The package room is very hard to find for both the residents and delivery services. It's also very small and unorganized. It feels like a scavenger hunt when you try to find your package. And you will lose your packages easily. The community is not really pet friendly. Pets are only allowed in the pet area which is ridiculous small and it is never cleaned. Management is impossible to reach regardless of through email or phone. They don't care about the residents here once you sign your lease. For the one out of ten times you are able to actually reach them, they are not helpful at all - they will not follow up even though they promise they will. The only good team is the maintenance - they are relatively quick. You are required to pay a $30/month valet trash service. But in reality, to use the service, you are required to put your trash out in a strictly defined way within an one hour window everyday which is between normal working hours. Otherwise, you will be fined. Loud maintenance services like leaf blowing and trash pickup occurs early in the morning. You can kiss goodbye to your sleep-ins.

Overall this community and the staff is excellent and top tier. The neighbors are friendly, a lot of community events for the residents to gather and mingle. The facility is modern with the latest technology. My fav staff members are Aleksis, Victoria, and the manager Chris! Friendly, attentive, responsive, and professional. The best in the business!

The only good thing about Lynhaven is the cleaning staff and maintenance (not construction team). But leasing office staff is unresponsive. We have talked to management about theft and they say NO it did not happen and we have to follow up because they go ghost when you bring up an issue. THEY NEVER GET BACK TO YOU! If you like writing and wasting your time then go at it. I am not interested in talking to anyone to figure things out or discuss because I do not want to waste anymore of my time. Please save your money and time finding a safer and nicer place they definitely play it off with amenities and "luxury" details in the apartment but there is nothing luxurious about this place cars get broken into, stuff gets stolen from your apartment and garage security is not present i've seen security once and they were in the back alley on their phone. Plus garage is always broken which is why people from outside have easy access plus security being a ghost not even helpful. This is a genuine precaution for folks who care about safety and quality of what you are investing in. If you want to live in a hotspot of THEFT, WELCOME THIS IS YOUR PLACE. If you do plan on staying here make sure to leave your car EMPTY (not even a napkin) or invest in a 24hr dashcam, and even maybe a darn camera in your apartment because you never know... On the other hand if you do have items that you want to donate feel free to leave it in clear sight in your car the thieves will do you a solid of take it for you. Just because it looks/sounds nice doesn't mean it is.

Lynhaven is a pleasant place to live and has an attentive service staff. While we can't control everything in the surrounding community, Lynhaven tries its best to mitigate any issues. The apartments are new and the items in the apartment have been updated. They could consider adding a concierge service to better manage deliveries (i.e. packaged or food) to add to the living experience and better serve the residents. They could also consider a bigger area for pets.

The staff is very helpful and friendly, the ammenities and the units are in great conditions and the community is very well located. The neighborhood is very calm and safe and the staff will organize events to know more people within the community.

I am a resident of Lynhaven . I am posting here the issues that I have experienced so far in hope that it serves as a consideration for future prospective residents. 1. The flooring here is quite thin: previous apartments I lived in there was concrete between the floors so it was hard to hear any noise. My current neighbor at Lynhaven above me have a dog of approximately <40lbs, and I can hear the paws every time the dog runs in the apartment. I can also hear the beats to their music when they start playing it during the afternoon. Leasing office informed me unless it was loud between the hours of 10pm-7am there is nothing they can do about the noise. Which means I have to wear noise cancelling headphones during my working hours in my own apartment in order to block out the beats. 2. Marijuana smoke: currently I am having my right to quiet enjoyment violated on a daily basis as there is constant smell of marijuana coming from my window. I am working with management to either break lease or fix this issue. I simply wanted a quiet, smoke free apartment.

Our major safety concern is the lack of a keypad at each apartment door. We are constantly concerned that we may forget to bring our fob when leaving our unit, especially in the evening when there is no staff around to ask for help. If we forget to bring our fob and our cell phone, we cannot even call anyone for help. That is a major safety concern. At our previous apartment, there is the advantage of having a keypad on the apartment door so that we can use it as an alternative. Please do something about that. Thank you.

Community is very clean and well located. With various restaurant and grocery stores near by. Perfect location to go for quiet walks and enjoy the beautiful surrounding mountain scenery. The community has beautiful entertaining rooms and the staff is incredibly approachable and friendly. The staff is like the soul of the building and they sure do a good job at making the residents feel welcome and seen.

I'm angry to write down something uncomfortable because it hasn't been long since I moved in. I try to stay positive, but I don't feel good because there are many issues. There is too much noise in the bathroom. I think the ventilation...? I wish there was a function to turn it off and on again.

Building cleanliness: great, except animals pee in the elevator Noise: you can hear people walking upstairs and dogs barking down the hallway Gym: great variety and clean Kitchen: light cooking is ok. Tried to grill 8oz of meat on the stove with exhaust fan on high, but it triggered the fire alarm.
