FUNNY how everytime someone writes a BAD review, with in hours someone writes a "good" one. We lived at Cheyenne Crossing 9 months ago and we are so glad we no longer live there. Just read the comments on how bad that place is. Its all true.

Very helpful staff. They put in the extra work to help with unique military related challenges. Great maintenance crew too. The guys are quick and thorough and went out of there way to help when I needed it. This complex is pretty pricey for the quality and size of apartments but you pay for the location.

Moved in 2 years ago, loved the staff, very friendly always helpful. Terrible now!! never return phone messages, told a security issues would be taken care of quickly, still not done. No handicap parking on the section I live on and parking nights and weekends is horrible. Air conditioning is ancient and doesn't work. Traffic noise on East side of complex is horrible, can't open the windows. Way over priced for a very old complex. Going down hill quickly. security gate never closed and always broken.

WARNING...This apartment complex is horrible. We have lived here for a year and thank god we are being stationed else where. This complex is ran terrible. It seem the "Staff" just doesnt care. Anything that goes wrong or needs attention you have to let the "Staff" know. When moving into our apartment last year the apartment was so not ready or cleaned. The "Staff just rushed us in. We have spray paint all over our living room windows. The appliances are so old and run down but they do offer new ones if you pay $200 a month more. No one here walks the grounds to see what it looks like. We have had dog waste infont of our living room window for over a month now. Its so bad that my husband know picks it up and we dont even have a dog. The "Staff" if confronted says the complex is walked and cleaned up every morning, this is so not true. Many people in our building believe that this "maintenance" is horrible and complains to much. We live in Building #5 and we have a bet with other residence to see how many times a day that the "maintenance" is standing outside smoking. Our neighbor has been waiting for a cover parking for 6 months, however the guy incharge of Maintenance uses a carport to park during the day and is empty at night, We believe he doesnt even live on the property. These sould be for paying residents. The speeding through the complex is horrible. If you have children please keep a very close eye on them with all the speeding through the complex. Guess the "Staff" doesnt see it. Speaking of the "Staff" once they sucker you in they become so anti- friendly. Im sure that afer this post Advenir at Cheyenne Crossing will get another one that is just "GREAT". Funny how it always happens after a bad comment. We have been all over the United States being in the Army and have lived in many apartment complexes but this one has been the worst. For as much as we pay you DO NOT get quality at Cheyenne Crossing in anyway.

OMG Where do I begin with these apartments.!!!! I LOVEEEEE THEM!!! From day 1 the office staff has ALWAYS been nice, respectful, courtesy, etc. I really do appreciate them because of that and they have also been a blessing. My husband & I Was suppose to move in the apartments within 3 weeks but something went wrong on our(My husband & I) end so My husband & I came in to talk to Ms. April(Manager)to explain our situation and IMMEDIATLEY she began talking with Nichol to see if they can help in anyway, they even contacted the Maintenance guys. I loved how they all worked together to assist us even though Ms. April is the manager she contacted the rest of the team 1st and the maintenance guys said they can start on our apartment a little sooner so we could move sooner with NO hesitation and NO attitudes. My husband and I were really happy and thankful because they were happy to assist us and didn't come up with excuses and they weren't angry because they had to move things up to help us. This is what you call a REAL COMMUNITY with Love and Care..!! For As long as my husband & I are stationed at Ft.Carson we will live at Advenir at Cheyenne Crossing. We have also been referring and will continue to refer everyone we know to come check out these apartments. We love the apartment and everything in our unit is New. The pool, gym, Hot Tub and Laundry Mat are ALWAYS nice, clean and everything works. Other people that live here are always speaking and smiling. VERY FRIENDLY :)I don't know about the previous reviews from months or years ago but I CURRENTLY LIVE HERE AND LOVE IT. My husband and I don't have family here but Now we do ADVENIR AT CHEYENNE CROSSING.!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH.. - THE COPELANDS JOHANNE PLACE COLORADO SPRINGS,CO 80906

I just moved into Advenir apartments and I must say I am quite pleased. Everyone at the front office has been very friendly and helpful. I feel comfortable stopping in the main office anytime I have a question. I recently had an issue with my air-conditioner. The maintenance crew arrived in a timely fashion and were very professional. In no time at all my air-conditioner was running in top shape. I feel safe and comfortable here. I am very happy I chose this apartment complex.

I totally have to agree with the last post here on ApartmentRatings.com. We moved in here 2 months ago and were told that the front of our apartment/building would be cleaned up and its even worse now (trash, weeds, dead rose bushes). We have had to pack very far from our apartment because parking is so limited here. We have been waiting for a carport in front of our building since we moved in. Then come to find out that the Maintenance guy has a carport for his truck and is using it during the day and its empty at night. I don't even believe he lives here. You would think that the residents would have priority over other people who don't live here on the carports. Guess not. Very disappointed in the complex. I believe they tell you what you want to hear and then once your suckered in they don't follow up or care. I'm embarrassed to have people walk up to my apartment and see how run down it looks. Maybe we should move back on Fort Carson.

My Husband and myself lived here at Cheyenne Crossing 3 years ago when we were stationed here at Ft Carson. This complex at the the time was a wonderful place to live. It was very well maintained and the staff was awesome. We decided to move back to Colorado Springs and return to Cheyenne Crossing a place we once called home and enjoyed. Little to our surprise it has changed and not for the better. First off our apartment wasnt even ready when we arrived like it was told to us. The "staff' seems to have a chip on there shoulders. The young lady in the first office acted like she was doing us a favor and the manager seem to stay in her office. The office also smeels like food and cigarette smoke. The building that we live in has weeds and dead bushes and tress around it as well as "MAJOR" dog waste. We have used the laundry room twice and both times the place was smelly and dirty. With a complex this size you would think that the laundry room would be cleaned daily. It seems that no one walks the complex in the moring picking up dog waste and the trash that is all over the complex. We are very disapponted in what Cheyenne Crossing has turned into. It seems that the staff is lazy and just doesnt seem to care. Now by looking at Cheyeene Crossing you can say that its turned into "low Income" with a high priced apartments that is so not worth the money we pay. We have a 6 month lease and we cant wait till its over. Its really sad that such a beautiful complex can become so run down and not cared for. If all "Advenir" complexes are like this they wont be around for long.

Rented at 2 bedroom with my buddy here. Parking is HORRIBLE! It's a first come first serve thing and usually people never leave their homes so youre basically S.O.L. The hot water ran out after 5 mins. You have to rent a washer and dryer. You pay rent plus some extra fee for the club house, which is a waste especially if you DONT use the place. At one point they added this fee into our rent and didn't inform us until we went to pay our rent the next month and they told us we had an outstanding balance PLUS late fees!! You can hear the neighbors fighting and kids crying through the walls.

I have lived here since March 2009, started in a 2 bedroom 1 bath and moved into a 2 bedroom 2 bath. I am signing another year lease here because I am happy with where I am. I rarely, if ever, hear my neighbors, the grounds are well kept, issues are addressed quickly and they are more than willing to accomodate in any way they can. I am a single mom with my son with me 4 days a week, I feel safe, he feels safe, and I have never had any problems. I would highly recommend living here. :)

My wife and myself have lived here at Adviner at Cheyenne Crossing for almost and year and all we can say is "WHAT A DUMP". For as much money as you pay this place is so not worth it. We have dog waste every where, No computer room, filthy launry room., They say that they walk the complex and to this day i have never seen a Manager walk the complex to see how bad it looks. The pool area looks run down, old worn out lawn furniture, it hasnt been swept in months. The dumpsters have mice because no one sweeps them out. The cars speeding through the complex is horrible and very dangerous if you have children. Everytime there is a problem you yourself have to et the complex know because they either dont care or have no clue. We have two electric bills one for our apartment and one for the complex and they are not at all cheap. The management sees to not care at all for the complex, to many of us that live here it seems that this is just a job for them and thats it. This complex needs someone who cares how this place looks. Advenir at Cheyenne Crossing has become a dump... BE WARNED

This complex SUCKS, if you want to live in a comlplex that has the following problems then this is you place. 1. Dog crqp everywhere 2. Speeding car through the complex 3. Noise from car music 4. Dirty computer room when the computers work 5. Smelly laundry room 6. Pool is dirty with no chairs to sits and all the dead plants from the past summer are still dead in the grounds. 7. NO heat in the old workout room 8. Dumpster areas never get swept and many tenants have seen mice 9. The office opens and closes when it wants 10.lights out around the complex 11.The flags are ripped to pieces 12.They use to walk the gounds everyday to pick uo trash and dog crap and now they dont. 13. The office staff is very unfriendly 14. The cleaning crew come once a wek to clean the gym and club house and does a horrible job. For as much as we pay here at this LOW class complex shouldnt be allowed. With us being military we have stayed in many complexes and this is the worst and most run down. Its a very very over priced complex for what you get. They know that the military needs a place to stay and will always have tenants there fore they dont care. We would never recommend any ADVENIR complexes.

My husband & I previously rented with a horrible community (Do Not rent with Cheyenne Vista!!! We are suing them anyway!) We moved in here on 8/1/2012 at the height of the Waldo Canyon Fire. When we moved in here we opted to take a re-habbed apt. Brand new of the following: blinds, hardwood floors, carpeting, appliances, counter's and cabinets. We pay extra per month for this but it is worth it! Our apt is just gorgeous. It doesn't hurt that we are on a private end unit either. Our maintenance staff is Top Notch, polite, On It, professional and just a really nice group. Best example I have is that I called at 2:45 pm on Friday about a minor maintenance issue and he was here by 4:00 pm. (Our last maintenance staff looked like committed felonies for fun!) The management here is very involved, there are resident activities almost weekly with weekly raffles. Even though the rent is on the high side we are Not planning on moving anytime soon. Drawbacks = none!

I find it interesting that we have been here over a year and this complex has become run down. We have had so many problems with this complex such as dog waste all over, the gates never work, the pool area has no lounge chairs, the laundry room is filthy. The speeding through the complex is going to get someone hurt. You have two electric bill one for your apartment and then another for the complex and this last month the bill was well over 100 dollars extra added to our rent. The parking is horrible, sometimes my wife has to park outside the gate on the street. In order to get something done or to voice your opinion you have to talk to the office manager, yet we dont understand why they dont see these problems as well. We dont think they care. Advenir is the new management company and is down right horrible. Maybe the "NEW" office manager should walk around the complex herself and see how bad its looking. I feel that the "NEW" management does not at all care for this complex. In the two years we have been here it has become to look like a low income complex. For as much as you pay here and trust me its not cheep, you can find much better and get much better for your dollar.

I feel that this person doesnt know Cheyenne Crossing yet or is a friend or is someone who works at Cheyenne Crossing that is trying to give the place a good name. There are so many things wrong with this complex, and if this "person" is new to Cheyenne Crossing they will soon find out. We recieved our "GREAT" American bill last week and it was well over 100 dollars which if you add your rent and your electric bill with this you are paying way to much for such a run down complex. These are just a few of the problems that Cheyenne Crossing has: 1. You never know when the office is open, they close when ever they want, or the blinds are closed so it seems as if they are closed. 2. The speeding and loud music from cars is horrible and wake people up at night. 3. The lights around the laundry room and infront of the office are out so at nite is dark and dangerous, ( we have told them about this) 4. The dogs off leashes and the dog waste around the comlpex is horrible. 5. My husband and I do laundry ever Sunday or Saturday nite and the laundry room smells and hasnt been cleaned. These are just a few of many things wrong with this complex. I hope that if this "person" is new that they feel the same way in a month... We will see.....

I had searched online for a month and when it came down to it this place had all of my needs(allowed my dog) and wants(fireplace, washer/dryer hook up). The staff was very helpful with the lease paperwork and telling me what I needed to do to get into an apartment. Found out they allow you to have a wall painted and I jumped in on that. The maintenance staff has been wonderful. They are just really nice here and the apartments are too. I would recommend this place to anyone I hear even mention the word apartment.lol.

This is the worst place ever to live since Adviner took over. My husband and myself have lived here for two years and the 1st year the place was well maintained till last year when Adviner took over. The crime and noise in this complex is horrible. They painted the complex and its already peeling, the front gate stays open and has not worked for months.Speeding traffic is such a major problem when you have kids. Dead trees and shrubs every where. We had our washer and dryer packed a month ago and use the laundry room and i have never seen a laundry room so smelly and dirty, its only cleaned once a week. The raised everyones rent and we got nothing but a slum looking complex. One apartment have a huge dog with a big bucket of dog crap sitting at the front door that smells, another apartment has 5 bikes that are thrown into the rose bushes and places to store them. we took our last rent check to the office and the manager "anna" was so rude and didnt even care to talk to us, once the sucker you into the complex then they dont have time for you. they also have a electric bill that is sent to you every month that you have to pay for the water and electric and trash for Adviner and they tell you its $25 a month and our last statement was $70 that is add to your rent plus your own electric bill. This compay "Adviner" charges you a arm and leg and offers a run down apartment. I would never recommend "Adviner at Cheyenne Crossing " to anyone... be warned. There are many other places suck as Quail Cove which is up the street to live and is worth it.

                                      Frustrating

We've lived here for over a year and at first it was a pleasant place to live. The residents were a good mix of military and civilians. However, somewhere along the line things really started to go downhill. We moved from an upstairs apartment because the resident below us chain smoked to the point that it was stinking up our apartment. Not to mention the pot they were smoking. The grass is mowed regularly but no one pulls the weeds; looks like crap. The complex allows dogs of every size with very little green space that results in dogs leaving messes that owners (not all) don't clean up. Management has no idea which dog belongs to what resident; they'll tell you that. Now, the place has rented to every soldier who has returned from deployment and they are nothing but disrespectful. The rules aren't made for them. They monopolize the pool and hot tub by bringing in all sorts of guests (the amenities are for residents only) while bringing alcoholic beverages in glass containers into the pool area (not allowed). They smoke everywhere so that those of us who do not smoke cannot enjoy being outside. We are charged an additional utility fee for things like the pool that we can't use. Children can't go to the pool - God knows what is going on in there. Don't bother alerting management because they simply don't care if rules are broken as long as they get their money. Included in the extra utility charge s electricity for outside lighting - some of which is on night AND DAY. What a waste. Don't assume this is a post from someone who is prejudiced against military personnel because that just isn't true. My sons have both served in the army and my SIL is still in the army and deployed at the moment. Reality is they have to abide by the rules as does everyone who lives in a community and management needs to pay attention to what happens here.

Of course you will hear sirens. I have NEVER seen police or any emergency service inside Cheyenne Crossing. I have been living here for 7 months. My only complaint is the heating sucks but it works and I am not freezing. I always see maintenance picking up trash on the grounds and when I have a work order they are on it within a day or so. Just got new roofs and paint. Management is friendly.

Moving Here was the worst mistake of my life

I don't even bother going to Management about anything anymore as they are completely rude. My lease is up this month and once I sign my lease with my new complex, I'll never look back at this place, ever. I've never encountered such a terrible business or the people that are supposed to represent Cheyenne Crossing and Griffis Blessing. I like to give every place a benefit of the doubt but no, the only thing this apartment had going for it was that it was close to my work and there are plenty other complexes in this area close to my work so see ya ---- hole!

                                            Would rent again

I stayed at Cheyenne Crossing for a year while I worked on a project at Fort Carson. I found the apartment to be the perfect price for what I needed. The part of the complex I lived in was very relaxing and parking was never a problem. There always seemed to be something going on - weekend breakfasts, pool party, football party, Mardi Gras, etc. The staff was great! If I ever work on another project at Fort Carson again - I will definitely stay at Cheyenne Crossing again.

                                              Reality Check

We have lived here for well over four years and, while there have been some minor incidents with crime, overall the complex feels pretty safe and quiet. It's occupied mostly by men and women who serve in the armed forces at Fort Carson, so I don't know how this could be considered a haven for lowlifes and thugs. Having spent most of my life living in apartments, I have seen the good and the bad, and this is one of the good ones. Any problems we have had have been minor, and have been addressed in a reasonable time frame by maintenance and management. There is no central air, that's true, but most of the apartments I've lived in have lacked this comfort. Somehow we've survived the oh-so-harsh 90 degree summers with some floor fans and open windows. In the winters, they're out there shoveling the walks at 5 am, and every day they walk the grounds keeping them free of litter. Not every person will have the same experiences with an apartment complex; it depends on where in the complex you live and who you have for neighbors and what you *expect* from an apartment--and I'm sure some people have had some negative experiences. It would be a mistake, however, to paint Cheyenne Crossing as a dark, sweltering mecca of crime. My family feels safe here, and my neighbors are all decent, hard-working people who don't party until the wee-hours of the morning. If I have one complaint, and it's a minor one, it's that they now let dogs into the apartments and we now have to deal with occasional barking and people who stand right outside your apartment while their pets do their business. It was far preferable when the owners did not permit dogs, but I'm sure I'm in the minority on this one. Overall, it's a very decent place to call home for a while.

                                                THE WAY TO LIVE!

Some of these comments are totally ridiculous! Don't people have anything better to do? I know I do but I hate that people blast living here. I have lived here for several years and I would say there is very little crime here. There were some car break-ins one night but we received a letter from the office telling us to be sure to lock our car doors and all that. The fence has blown down several times but it is being fixed. It couldn't be done in the dead of winter because of frozen ground -DUH!!!!!!! As to A/C - a person states they have lived here since 2011 - well that is since January. Really, have you needed the A/C? GET A LIFE AND MOVE OUT! A LOT OF PEOPLE LOVE LIVING HERE. I AM ONE OF THEM. PEOPLE GET MAD IF THEY ARE BREAKING THE PROPERTY RULES AND GET TOLD ABOUT IT AND WRITE LIES ABOUT THE PLACE.

                                                  Would never recommend

My experience with Cheyenne Crossings has been horrible from the start. Like an earlier comment, I too was told that the apartment next to me was a model, and I would have no neighbors. This has not been the case. There has always been someone living there. In addition, before moving in, I was only told about the pet deposit and pet rent. I paid the deposit in advance, and then a month later I started getting notes on my door that I needed to give them more money for the pet fee, which I was never told about. I had also asked them if I needed to set up the electricity beforehand. They said that they take care of that. Two months later they are calling me telling me that they have been paying the electricity bill, and that it was never set up. It has been nothing but constant lies from the office. Also, the apartments look nothing like what they have pictured. The buildings badly need new paint and a new roof. The wooden shingles fall off and damage cars anytime it s windy. The trees are also never pruned, and so the dead branched fall. I was lucky in getting a somewhat decent apartment. My neighbors, however, have very old shag carpet, gaudy mirrors that cover an entire wall, and many other problems. Because there is no central heat and air, the only room that gets cool is the living room. The other rooms get unbearable and many have had to buy additional in-window units. The lady in the office told us that she had never even turned on her a/c unit before. Again, another lie to get us to sign the lease. As far as the neighbors, it is pretty quite. There have been some neighbors that have the police at their doorstep daily. Luckily, I never hear them because they are a building over. Anytime there are break-ins or crime the office never notifies us. Because this was a military move, I couldn t see the place before hand. If I had I would have never moved here. My husband and I are going to start to look for a new apartment.
