wonderful place to call home and come home to
I have lived at Cheyenne Crossing for 2 years The entire staff is friendly and very accomodating they really make me feel at home The pool and hot tub are always clean. My apartment is on the second floor it's bright and cheery I do not hear my neighbors. There is plenty of parking and during the winter months the walks are shoveled before I leave for work I highly recommend this apartment community.

Awesome place and staff
I have to agree with some of the other viewers on how great the staff are! In my opinion, they make Cheyenne to be what it is. I've never had any problems either. I have already decided that I will be renewing my lease and sticking around longer. I would highly recommend this place to anyone single or married.

Amazing staff!
I would like to share my wonderful experience as a residence at Cheyenne Crossing, especially after reading some of the reviews. I've been living here at Cheyenne Crossing since 2007 and loving it! I had been looking at a lot of apartments online, but when I called here and spoke to Anna, I was sold. She was totally awesome! She was extremely helpful and patient with all the questions I had. She made me so anxious to get to Colorado and see where I would be living. She made my arrival very pleasant and comforting. I have not encountered one bad experience ever since I've been here. The maintenance crew are great as well. I have submitted a work order a few times and the issues were resolved right away. The amenities are always clean and ready for use (such as the swimming pool and workout machines). It makes me feel so good to know that I'm living in a place where the staff is amazing, and I don't have to worry about anything. I will never forget the time I was sick and didn't feel up to leave the house. Anna was aware of this and decided to bring me some chicken soup. I don't think she knew how much that mean't to me (who knows an office manager that would go out of their way for the residence like this). It is hard to find good and genuine people these days, but Cheyenne Crossing staff has that. Gin, you're a blessing just to know. Thank you for making many of my days brighter! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment! I am very grateful for the awesome staff at Cheyenne Crossing! Thank you Anna, Gin, and the maintenance crew for everything that you do! Love you guys!

Rude Leasing Agent
The aparmtent is okay. The staff is nice except for the leasing agent, Ana. Everything was okay, until I had any office request of things needing fixed. She is a younger kid (like early 20's). She was extremely unprofessional and nasty/ rude towards me (pretty much for no reason). This would be a wonderful place, if they would get rid of the snippity little leasing agent

Great Staff - dumpy apartments
I have lived in this complex for 7 years and I don't plan on moving any time soon. What I like is that they keep the same staff for years so you feel like you get to know them. They are definitely great! I for one would certainly not call the apartments dumpy. They are older but they are so very well maintained that you would not even realize that. The appliances may not be new but they work just fine and anytime I have ever had to call for something to get fixed, it is always done right away. The grounds are beautiful and the neighborhood is a Broadmoor one so you know it is a safe place to live. I say you can't go wrong in living here!!!!

GREAT tenants, office staff, maintenance
Although the apartments are old - they keep them fixed up! They pick up the trash every day and keep the pool very clean. The best part is the staff. The office ladies and maintenance men are great. very professional and knowledgeable. It is a very quiet complex and all my neighbors are friendly and nice. It is the best complex I have ever lived in.

Lived there 14 months
We had a first floor apt. with 2 bed / 2 bath. Definitely would recommend a first floor for cooler rooms and not going up steep stairs. PRO's: Price, location to downtown and Ft. Carson, pool, parking usually good. CON's: Kitchen space, rugs are dirty, 2 sq. ft of patio, smelled like smoke, security gate, 115 can be loud. Advice: 1. Get a first floor apt. on that doesn't face 115 and due south (not a lot of options). 2. See more than one apt. to make sure you get all amenities that are available (we missed out on a couple of ceiling fans, large mirrors, and other fixtures that our neighbors had). good luck

Getting Better With Time
I've now been living here for about seven months and I just call it home. The apartment was nice in the summer and right now, in early November, I've got a fire crackling in the fireplace as I write this. I find the neighbors to be downright friendly and although one of my neighbors is a professional bass player, he's pretty good about the hours he practices. I really get a kick out of the deer that have been hanging around. They are very used to people, never beg and are never aggressive. That's just cool. The grounds are very well kept and I really appreciate that the complex wasn't plastered with campaign signs during the election season. All in all, the tenants and the grounds-keepers take very good care of the place. Oh, and lets not forget the pool area and exercise room. Someone's always there. Even in the cold. And the laundr room does seem to be big enough for the complex. I've never been short a washer or dryer even when it's crowded. And the office staff are remarkabe! Freindly, professional and ready to help in any situation, Both Anna and Gin really try their hardest to please everybody all the time. I have a hard time wrapping my mind around complaints I've read about the front office staff, as I've never had a complaint and never heard one either. And I can't think of a single time when they haven't come in after hours to fix problems. Well, they won't turn the big-screen TV in the clubhouse to the Packers games when I ask. That's a shame. Yup, 100% satisfied here. I highly recommend this place.

very nice and safe
nice apartments. 2 bed 2 bath ones are set up kinda weird. very nice overall. kitchen and bathroom cabinates could use a facelift. very nice and safe neiborhood. easy access to downtown and fort carson. safe and maintenace are so nice and helpful. easy to hear people on second floor though and when they walk up the steps. good place for your money. sometimes its hard to find parking close to your apartment. heat is electric so you save lots of money in the winter.

Its ok
I think that the apartments are nice a little old but very well keep, everyone here is nice walls are kinda thin i've heard the people up stairs making whoopy a lot lol. Prices are pretty good rents one been raised once since i've been here. My only complaint is the ac units there old and the heater it kinda makes it hard to place your furniture where u want it to go. Over all very nice place love the fact that it's gated!! Oh yea your rent maybe low but add a good 50 bucks to that for the water, trash, sewage, and other things so you'll pay over 800 per month for rent

THE BEST YET
I have lived in this complex for abt. 6 months this time. I lived here before and went to Iraq and then emailed the office from Iraq and they had a place waiting for me when I got back. The office laidies are really nice and seem to appreciate us soldiers. My apartment was great again and I will be deploying again in a few months and ploan on coming back here. It is clean, quiet and all the tenants are nice and helpful.

The staff makes this complex shine.
The apartments are a bit older, but are well maintained. The price was fair, if not a bit low in comparison to other complexes. What really makes Cheyenne Crossing shine is the staff from the complex manager on down. From pre-leasing, to leasing, to maintenance, to move out (and extending move out due to blowing my remodeling time-frame), the staff at Cheyenne Crossing has been wonderful. I can't really say enough about them. Everyone is courteous, prompt, and professional. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone moving to the Colorado Springs area.

My thoughts on living at Cheyenne Crossing
I lived at Cheyenne Crossing apts for 1 year, in the 1 year, i found myself not feeling too well over the course of my time there, i began to cough alot, constant running nose, sneezing, and it appeared to only happen when i would come home to the apt, or being in there long periods of time, When i became active in the apt, i would have these symptoms. It got to a point near the end of my lease, i needed to move out as i felt there was something in the apt, that was making me feel this way! Like mold under the carpet, or something in there. The complex has a very serious pidgeon problems. I am not sure what it was, but all i know is that since moving out, I am almost better, no more coughing or feeling as i did when i lived there! I had heard another talk of this very same thing from a tenant that used to live there, she moved out as well! Other than this, my health became very important! I had to move out! I felt the staff was wonderful and very accomidating! The apt itself and the facility is very old! Cupboards need replacing and needing new AC units, the heating system, should go! The grounds were kept fairly decent while i lived there! The pool and hot tub, were great! The parking was really bad, sometimes i would have to park way over on the opposite side of where i lived, as there were no spaces left, if i had not had to pay the extra 20.00 a month for a parking spot, * which should be included in the rent *............I would have had more difficult times finding a place to park! Snow removal and the stairs can be quite dangerous! There always seemed to be rocks all over the sidewalks and many times i would have to kick them out of the way! Apt was pretty noisey as well, my neighbor downstairs would bong his Big screen TV all hours of the night! Most of all, it was just a convenient place for me to rent as it was close to my job! I would not ever consider living there ever again!

SUPERB
I have lived here since 2006 and I must say its the best place I've been. The office staff is awesome and I really haven't needed the maintenance people that much but when I do, they are fast and do a good job. It is very quiet here and they keep the property up. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to live.

Amazing!
I have lived here for about 6 months now, and so far everything has been great, its a nice quiet community, yes they are old, but holding together nicely. Bills are low, neighbors are quiet. I recommend getting an upstairs apartment though or you will hear people walking upstairs. The lawn and pool are always kept up, never trashy. Over all this is the best apartment complex I have ever stayed at!

Best Ever
I moved to Colo. Spgs from Texas (Ft. Hood) and I can tell you there is no comparison. These apartments are wonderful, quiet and clean. The office staff is very friendly and take care of everything in a professional manner. The "fix-it" staff is great and they do a good job. We love it here and all of our neighbors have been friendly and helpful and have made us feel welcome. If you are looking for a great place to live, you should check it ouot.

Can you say ------?
Due to my work I relocate all across the country every 3 months to the tune of approximately 22 apartments in the past 5 and a half years, and I am not exaggerating when I say this is the absolute worst apartment building and management team I have ever used. The building management team is rude. It just seems like management does not care about the residents. Complaints go unanswered, maint. is sub par and office staff enjoys hassling residents over petty issues. Not the best grounds either. Maintenance comes in your appartment without permission or 24hr notice. The carpets are baddly stained. The cabinets are help together with glue (glue gun). appliances very old. I had to break my lease to leave this place. Only locals must give this place a good review because they don't know any better.

Expect high utlity bill , other wise good
This place is very quiet, no crime, its nice. i like it. the pool and gym are awessome amenities. the main problme i have is the utlities. i hvae a North facing apartment, i was told when i moved in by the leasing agent to expect about $50 a month in the winter for heat. not the case . my apartment was COLD all winter, i had only run the heaters at night while i am home & awake ( electric floor board heaters ) and my bill still came to $160/ for electric for the coldset month. electric is even up to $70 in the summer months when i do not run the heater or AC at all. also the water bill is like $40 . its based on size and number of occupants. i only have one occpuant so i am supposedly getting the cheaper rate. i like living here, but am considering on moving becuase the utlitiy bill makse the price of living here out of my price range. Also the rent is going up when my lease is over.

A GREAT PLACE TO CALL "HOME"
Everything is always taken care of in a timely manner, and the staff is wonderful and caring and they all know you by name (even Dan, the maintenance man). This is the best apartment complex I have ever lived in.

WONDERFUL
I have lived here for about 13 mos. and think everything about the place is great, the office staff is very caring and the maintenance staff is very quick to repair or replace anything. The property is very well taken care of and is always clean and anything that needs fixed is fixed in a timely manner.

I couldn't be happier!

Great staff, dumpy apartments
The staff is great, the apartments are not. As some people alluded to, the apts are old, along with the appliances and cabinets. The cabinets and blinds are so gross (even after cleaning) that I will wash my hands after touching them. The insulation isn't very good and I won't even touch the air conditioner. It's got mold and stuff all over the part that sticks outside. It's obviously never cleaned or covered and is over 20 yrs old, like everything else here. It wouldn't be bad if they would just replace things once in a while. My faucet and fridge needed to be repaired twice. While the maintenance staff is quick to repair, replacement is the appropriate solution. Cheyenne Crossing needs to put some money back into this place before it becomes a complete dump.

Overall, a very nice place to live
I have to agree with everyone else that's posted here. The office staff is wonderful, and the maintenance staff is so kind and courteous. You never have to wait long for things to be done. They really do seem to care about their residents, which is great!

The only bad thing is the wall heater & air conditioner. With a north-facing apt & all the nice windows, the heater is just not very effective. Try not to get a north-facing apt if at all possible. (You also can't receive a satellite signal if your patio/balcony is facing north!) I haven't lived here during the summer months, so I can't say how the ac does, but it is kind of unsightly. Not the biggest deal, but thought it was worth mentioning.

Expect to pay between $40 and $55 for water and common utilities for a lg. one bedroom w/ 2 people. Like many apts in the area, you do not pay for water based on your actual usage. It's split up between the residents, and added to it is the trash, common electricity, gas, sewer, and an admin fee. This was a shock for me at first because I was told it would be between $30 and $40. Still, I'm sure it's comparable to the cost of other apts in the area.

Parking can be an issue if you get here after about 6pm. There are a lot of families here, which is a good thing, so don't expect the lot to be empty on a Sat. night. The extra $25 or so a month for a covered space is a great idea if you can afford it.

Overall, I think this is a very nice community with some minor issues that can be expected just about anywhere you go. The staff are the best of anywhere I've lived, and they really will go out of their way to help you.

QUIET RETREAT
I moved in here after coming home from Iraq and have found everything here to be great. The office people and the team that fixes stuff are always so nice and helpful. Every once in a while it is kinda hard to find a parking place when i get home late but not very often. It is very quiet and clean here.

GREAT tenants, office staff, maintenance
I bascially rented sight unseen as I was in Iraq and leased over the internet so I didn't know exactly what to expect. I was pleased and surprised to be welcomed to Cheyenne Crossing. You can tell they care about us soldiers. They have a wall that is dedicated to us! I also had a flag in my door knocker when I arrived. My apartment is great. I couldn't be happier!
