I moved to this apartment 5 years ago. I wanted to leave close to my family in the westchase area but couln't afford an apartment there. Never had a problem with the staff or maintenance. They are very respectful and are always willing to help even if it's 5:29 pm and they are ready to close the office at 5:30. The only reason why I moved there was because I bought a house. I was in the 2nd floor, I never had a problem with my neighbors at all. Everyone is friendly. No drama or people screaming out there. I will definitely recommed this place, close to the airport, between clearwater mall and citrus park ( 2 options almost the same distance).

My husband and I have lived here for 10 month and could not be happier! The resent renovations are clean and very attractive. Pricing is very affordable. But best of all is the staff! They will go out of their way to help you in anyway they can. I give Newport a thumbs up!

All of the reviews on here are staged. The maintenance staff can't even speak English; which isn't an issue, but don't listen to the comments about how lovely it is to have a bilingual staff, because they're not. My apartment was infested with bugs, and it was my problem to deal with. The grounds are being trashed-the laundry room's window is broken, and they just lift it up to hide it. One resident had a mentally ill resident poor gasoline on their porch and try to light it on fire. Then another neighbor was attacked by a pitbull-this is all kept very hush hush. Thank goodness my neighbor above me is very polite and courteous; I can't say that for all residents, but I was very lucky with that. People/kids sit out in the parking lot smoking marijuana and being quite loud. Dogs are defecating all over the property and there are places where I literally cannot walk due to the droppings. They ran out of bags to pick up dog droppings and they weren't there for two weeks; we were told that it's our problem to pick up the droppings-that them providing the bags are a courtesy. Which I would agree with if you didn't advertise this "courtesy" as a perk of living here, and charging pet parents $10 a month for the pet on top of the deposit; so what is the 10$ for? Not for damages, because that's why you're keeping my deposit! It's just a fake place that is not worth the money (we upgraded everything just to make it semi-decent, and it is not worth the cost). Go look near the USF area because you'd pay less for the same safety and peace of mind.

I have been a resident at Newport apartment since 2013 going on my second year lease. I have to say the staff in the office are very polite and the know their residents by name. When I need maintenance done in my apartment is done in a very short time and the guys that take care of all the maintenance calls are very professional and when needed they have bilingual staff available which to me is very helpful. The grounds are very well maintained, parking lot and pool area plus pet friendly. I feel very safe at Newport Apartments.

I have lived here for a few years and I will say it's great. Property may not be the fanciest one, but it's clean and well kept. My apartment is great and if anything goes wrong, it is immediately fixed or replaced. I am uncertain of why some wrote a bad review, may have been some other then an apartment issue...Overall, I live here and enjoy my surroundings, parking areas, pool (to include the free events they hold) and the apartments leasing staff..If your looking for a great priced living place with access to the local main roads/local shopping area, this may be the place for you....

We are so happy here we recently renewed our lease. For the reviewer that said the office staff doesn't speak English - I think you're calling the wrong number. Every time I call the office the staff is always prompt, professional, friendly, and helpful. Work orders are handled very quickly. We had a problem with our air conditioner once on the weekend and someone was out within a few hours. The grounds and buildings are neat and well-kept, a quick drive through the property will attest to it. The amenities can't be beat. The apartment manager and staff are a big part of our decision to stay along with the care that goes into the property at every level. We are quite happy!

I stayed at Newport a few years ago. It was pleasant. You get screened-in patios, which is a plus in Florida with bugs and ambushes from the weather. It beats having to live in Town 'n' Country, close to Oldsmar, walking distance to stores, Alonso track. Quiet and quaint to live in. Only thing, the gym could have used some updating. And, if you want to move out of state, there are other apartments within the site. Bug issues are inevitable in the tropics and maintenance can only do treatments every so often, so keeping traps and inexpensive treatments on hand kept care of the issues, and only a few if any. If I search for an apartment again, Newport would be it.

very old Apartments, only time warner cable so they jack the price often, they just did mine, land line phones awful, appliances VERY old, can hear the sound of pipes thru the walls, not friendly neighbors, very noisy, they even tell you don't go for a walk after dark alone !!! once contract is out I'm getting out. Pay more ,live some where better. Trust me. THIS PLACE IS A DUMP

DO NOT RENT HERE. This place is infested with bugs although they claim to have pest control, they don't seem to do a good job. A work order for maintenance takes forever and it keeps breaking and they say they fixed it. They enter your home with no permission. Staff if very two faced and seemed to be pleasant and leave notices on your door for everything and fee you for everything without even asking you about things, make sure you also do a sex offender check, seems to be they don't do the background check. Please don't rent here, yeah sure it's close to everything but at what cost. I'm warning you, I can't wait til my lease is up

Since the day I came in looking for an an apartment, I was welcomed so graciously by the leasing agent, Jaleesa. She was very friendly and enthusiastic. I enjoy the complex. It's quiet and peaceful. The location is great, with beaches less than thirty minutes away. I'm in to watching sunsets, and anytime I want to gaze outside I have a great view. Pet friendly and clean. I really enjoy Newport. Great staff and home feeling.

I have been at Newport long enough to understand that you get what you pay for in this area. It's quiet, I've never had a problem with the staff except the maintenance ppl could be/do a lot better. I have to say any time I've made a request it was granted in a timely fashion. If I have any question that staff are willing to answer them and make my stay here as pleasant as possible.

The only good reviews are from the staff!!!!! Here is a link to the Better Business Bureau website showing what a terrible place this is. They care so little for tenants they don't even follow up with formal complaints. They are shameless in their lack of respect for the customers who are paying their rent to employ them. The place is so run down, dangerous, and just flat out filthy! The manager has done everything from lose rent checks to lie to customers' faces. Terrible place run by terrible people. looks like there are two listings for the same apartments but a different address... There's no hiding from the truth. Let me share my TRUE horror story THE WORST APARTMENTS I HAVE EVER LIVED IN.... DONT LET THE FAKE REVIEWS FROM THE EMPLOYEES FOOL YOU. IVE LIVED HERE SINCE SEPTEMBER 2012 AND I HAVE HAD THE SAME MAINTENANCE ISSUES SINCE DAY ONE: STOPPED UP TUB(STAND IN YOUR OWN DIRT WHILE SHOWERING) HALLWAY WET... WHO KNOWS WHAT THAT IS.. EVEN MAINT DOESNT KNOW.. IF THEY DID IT WOULD BE FIXED HOT WATER ONLY STAYS HOT FOR 5 MINUTES... KITCHEN SINK WATER PRESSURE LOW.. HOW ABOUT 6 MINUTES TO FILL UP THE SINK TO WASH DISHES? NOT ONLY THAT WHEN I GAVE MY NOTICE TO MOVE FROM THIS HELL HOLE NOW I ALL OF A SUDDEN OWE FEES THAT ARE NOT OUTLINED IN MY LEASE TERM. MY PRORATED FINAL MONTHS RENT WAS FIRST 492, THEN 330, THEN 343.. THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEIR DOING AND NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN... SAVE YOURSELF AND FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LIVE ***APARTMENTS FROM HELL*** and before the "property manager" tries to show willingness to help, go checkout BBB.org where this apartment hell hole got an "F"

I have lived in the Newport Apartments for about 4 months now, I LOVE it!, The way they treat their residents is amazing, always there to help out in any way, maintenance is always on time when needed. I was paying almost $840 a month at my old apartment and when I found out about the rent at Newport Apartments I wanted to move in right away, And They help me do that. It was no time and I was moving in. I love my New Place. Best Apartments ever!

I BEEN LIVING ON NEWPORT APARTMENTS GOING ON 3 YEARS I HAVE GOOD AND BAD EXPERIENCES THE GOOD IS THAT THEY KEEP THE PREMICESS VERY CLEAN GRASS ALWAYS CUT AND IS A VERY NICE PLACE AND VERY DECENT,BUT I ALSO HAVE HAD VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH MAINTENANCE I HAVE HAD ISSUES ON MY APARTMENT AND YES THEY WOULD COME ON TIME BUT THERE ARE A COUPLE OF MAINTENANCE GUYS THAT SEEM NOT TO HAVE TO MUCH EXPERIENCE AND WHEN I NEEDED SOMETHING FIXED I WOULD ALWAYS END UP CALLING AGAIN TO THE FRONT OFFICE TO TELL THEM MY ISSUES WERE NOT SOLVED BUT I AM VERY PLEASED WITH JEFF HE IS ONE OF THE MAINTENANCE GUYS ON THE PREMICESS BUT HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING HE IS VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL I WAS VERY PLEASED BUT IT WOULD BE NICE IF THEY GET BETTER MAINTENANCE STAFF

I love my apt, my view and so far so good, the staff is very friendly and everything works great- Not sure about my neighbors usptairs but I can definetly hear them bouncing around, that is the ONLY downside of my new apt. Feel safe and very comfortable otherwise.

I have lived at Newport apartments for 3 years the staff and maintenance personal have been excellent things are repaired in a timely and repaired the first time with no call back.I would like too see a basketball goal installed at the complex.OVERALL A GREAT PALCE TOO LIVE..

I have loved my time living at Newport Apartment Homes. The only reason I am leavings is because the rent was increased more then I can pay. The manager Tara is just great, very helpful & diligent. I regret having to leave at this time but I have no other choice.

I recently relocated to Tampa to be closer to my daughter and rented an apartment at Newport. The entire rental and moving experience has been so easy thanks to the staff at Newport Apartments. My daughter handled most of the rental process for me as I was still living in Tennessee. The staff worked with both of us and went above and beyond the typical protocol to help in the moving process! I love my apartment, it's perfect for me. My screened-in porch is gorgeous and I am enjoying the peace and quiet of my new neighborhood. Terrific place to live.

These Apts are vultures looking to keep your $90.00 Application fees even though they knew well in advanced that they will be denying you. The way the Bait and Switch happened to us was we went yesterday looking for a 2/2 bath they showed us a model and we said we were interested. I asked what about credit? I was told that if you have an eviction or owe money you can get denied, but that management will work with you probably with a higher deposit. Not to worry, "just let me run you thru and see what happens" but we will work with you. That was yesterday at 5:45 pm, today they called me if I was going to stop by and return the application, I said yes after work. I got there, they checked my application where it said eviction in the application. Again I asked I really need this place, oh don't worry we will work this out just pray!!! half an hour later I get a call oh you got denied you guys owe money and have an eviction and we can't overlook that. REALLY!!!! we just told you that yesterday and again today!!! and they won't give our 90 dollars back! they knew we were going to get denied but are just sitting there collecting money..I WONT GO AWAY this fraud will not go on. I am going to find all those people that were denied after promising to "work with them to keep their money" is a racket. If we had lied or not say anything I will agree with them but We told them UPFRONT! Honesty should have ruled that day we were honest they were not and that does not make them keeping our money. Anybody else who has been taken after Honestly telling them you owed money and You had an eviction and them telling you they will work with you please contact me! we will stop this!

I've only lived here a few short months, but unless something major happens I'm already planning on renewing my lease for another year. Yes, the place does have a few problems, but no apartment complex is perfect. I too noticed some bugs when I moved in - a couple of cheap traps bought at Home Depot and no more bugs. We live in Florida- we get bugs. The 2 maintenance problems I've had were taken care of in a quick fashion which I was very impressed with, and they even worked with me on the pet deposit when I suddenly became a pet parent. The buildings could do with a new coat of paint, and yes the appliances could stand to be upgraded, but all in all I'm extremely pleased with Newport and it's staff.

Newport aparments was the absolute worst experience of my life. The bathrooms and walls have black mold growing throughout the house. The mold is simply painted over on the walls and the toilets and tubs, don't even think about taking a bath! I had to have the exterminator come five or six times before the roach problem was solved. The staff is very rude and very careless. The closet door has fallen of the hinges and landed on me several times. Someone BROKE INTO THE LEASING OFFICE and stole all of the paperwork along with several of the other tenant's information. My identity was stolen thanks to them. And they did NOTHING about it. If you have another option then do NOT live here. If you are on a budget then good luck hating your life... Stay away from this apartment.. You have been warned.

Just renwed our lease and got new appliances. I have lived in another apartment where security was an issue other then when first moved in have not had any issues. I have seen the improvements and cannot wait to see more. I do agree the buildings and pool are outdated but hoping for changes.
