Our Lease Can't End Soon Enough......
The apartments are overpriced and poorly constructed. And for what we pay to live here, we deserve - at the very least - to be able to enjoy a somewhat decent life in our apartment home. But we haven't been able to do that because most of the residents here are rude and inconsiderate a**holes who park sideways and block your driveway (because Heaven forbid they have to park their 3rd vehicle in a visitor parking space and walk 20 feet to their door) and who stomp around their apartments at all hours of the night as if no one below them can hear a thing. I realize there are people like that everywhere, but the people here do it because they can. Because no matter how many times you complain to the manager about important matters like these, they do absolutely NOTHING about it!!! This would be a beautiful and convenient place to live if not for that. But, if you are looking for a place to live where you can break all the rules and be as big of a jerk to your neighbors as you want to be without any reprecussion, then look no further!

loud
I have lived in a bunch of different apts and for as nice as these are they are the loudesti have even lived I. My neighbors washer and dry noise is so bad it sounds like it is right by my couch. There is also someone up there with lead feet because the stomp anround their apt all the time. There was a water break in my apt and it took them 3months to patch the hole. Service has went down hill since I moved in april. The first two girls was nice and anything I needed fixed got fixed not 3 months later...so great apt and price...just buy ear plugs if you live on the bottom floor.

Loud Apartment
I have lived in a lot of apartments and this one was by far the most loud of any of the apartments I have ever lived in. I could hear my upstairs neighbor's washer going at all hours of the day and night. I also heard my next door neighbor's TV at all hours too. The walls are paper thin! I lived at this property when it was under the old management so I can't speak about the new owners. However, when I moved into my 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment it was so dirty! There was ground up food on the kitchen floor, the bathrooms were disgusting, and the ceiling fans hadn't been cleaned in years! These are supposed to be luxury apartments! I complained to the office staff and they did finally give me a visa gift card to make up for the dirty apartment. However, it took weeks and weeks to get it. I would have preferred a clean apartment on move in day. Overall, I didn't have a good experience there and would not recommend this apartment complex.

This place is a joke
I have lived at Columns on Wetherington for about 2 years. My lease ends in a few weeks and I can not wait! This place is absolutely rude, inconsiderate and much more negative things! I never had to interact with the prior owners but Conner has owned them for about 7 months now and I thought things were getting better until this girl started working there about a month ago. When she answers the phone she is so rude. If I have a question she tells me that she will have to call me back, NEVER DOES! I have asked to speak with her manager and surprise surprise, her manager is NEVER there either. I am thankful that I am moving out and will NEVER live at another Conner property.

I Looked Everywhere Columns Was The Best Place
I spent 2 weeks looking around at every Upscale Community in NKY. It was awful but I'm really glad I chose Columns. It has been great. I could never live without my attached garage again. The maintenance guy is so nice and even helped us carry a large dresser into our townhome. The lake and walking trails are beautiful. Been here 3 months no complaints at all yet.

Great Apartment...
Contrary to the other 2 people posting I havent had any issues since I moved in in May. My place has a great view of the pool and any issues I have ever had the maintenance guy has taken care of it ASAP. The girls in the office are great!! I love Kim and Dennelle both...they helped me make a 400 mile move easy. So far I am very happy with my apartment and I love the area I am in! I def. think you should come check it out if youre reading this!!

Renter Beware!!!!!!
Conner group took over late 2009. Complex has steadily went down hill. My water/sewage under the previous mgmt. was $20.00..now it is $100.00. They force you to sign up for cable (no satellite dishes allowed). They are overcharging for everything. I have been a resident since March 2009. My situation did not afford me the luxury of moving out. I have had birds (yes, birds)come in through the exhaust vent in the spare bathroom. Previous ownership was great, but Conner group is NOT a good property mgmt.company in my opinion. Pleas re-consider before moving here. This would be a nice place to live if Conner was not operating it.

The new management sucks. They find any reason to charge extra. They don't take care of the residents. They don't give you your deposit back. And last but not least, they want to tow your car when you have it parked in your driveway. My cable was included in my rent with the old management, and now they keep your rent the same and send you a cable bill. They burned off the outside lights the day they took over as management, and did not turn them back on for 3 weeks.

Great Apartment
I have lived at the Columns for about a year now. I don't have anymore complaints. The office is actually opened when it should be, and things are actually being taking care of. The apartments were bought by someone new about six months ago, that's why I made the comments that I did. I don't really have any complaints except the dog poop, but I think that will be at any community. I would recommend these apartments to anyone.

connor group sucks!!!!
Love the apartment and loved the staff when i moved in in january and they have changed staff for some unkown reason and nothing i need fixed is getting done. It has gone from call and get things addressed to call and wait a week if your lucky! Waited mujltiple days to get my ac fixed. Im moving out when my lease is up if something doesnt change with the maintenance and the rude women in the office. Why is it that they put people here that took care of things and then switched them out with people who know nothing!!! The manager is a complete ----- and the leasing agent is an airhead. My maintenance issues still have not been taken care of and I called in almost a month ago and have since called the leasing girl twice. The new maintenance guy came and said he needed to order the part for the shower and has not come back since!!! I hate this company. I moved in under the false pretense of a staff that cared and now im stuck with these jackasses!!!

Unrespnsive staff... IF you can catch them in the office.
"Luxury Apartment Living"... or so the sign says. Sure, the grounds are well maintained, but does that really matter when the you cannot get a member of the staff to return your calls when you need them? Next logical step, go to the office... only to find a "Be back soon"; if anything. The office manager is tops, but the two ladies that work for her are an absolute joke. I have had the same problem as a few other posts here where maintenance comes (after 3 weeks of reminding the office that I needed help), looks around, says that they do not have the proper tools with them, and leaves for days. I have lived here for 2 years and I will not be returning for a 3rd. Too bad, the complex COULD be really nice if they had an office staff that cared about the residents as much as they care about leaving early when the boss is away.

I hate this place!
I hate this apartment with a passion! And I have lived in some "not up to par" places before (Think military bases). For as much as we pay to live here, I shoudn't have to worry about much. However, since we have lived here (only about 6 months) we have had spider problems, bathtub problems, insulation problems (even with sealing the windows there are drafts everywhere, you can't keep the place warm!) and now our electric bill is outrageously high because all of our heat gets sucked out the front door that leaves a gap so wide I can almost put a pencil through it. The foundation of our building is obviously cracked. Water sits in our bathtub, our bedroom doors won't stay open, and there are cracks out in the walkway that match up to cracks in our walls and ceilings (that someone patched but they are coming through.) I had to rip out the caulking in our one bathroom because it kept molding from underneath. Come to find out they caulked OVER the old wet molded caulking. After I recaulked it we have not had a problem since. And everyone raves about the storage here...yeah, it's nice. But what they don't tell you is that since the garage is not sealed either, you not only get all kinds of fun insects (for us it's crickets and those gigantic brown spiders) in everything you store out there...you also heat your storage areas that don't hold heat either. Because again...nothing is sealed! Our overflow parking is always full because the people above us have relatives living with them, even though we were strictly told that was against their high standard rules when we moved in. And everytime I have ever called with my problems or with a question I get treated like I am bothering them and wasting their time. Although everytime I go pick up a package they are usually talking about something between themselves or on their cell phones and don't seem all that busy. I am truly sorry I have ever even heard the name "Columns on Wetherington". And I am even more sorry and sick to my stomach every time I write a gigantic rent check to them and then look around at my cold, cracked, stupid apartment. Please PLEASE don't move here. It looks gorgeous. It's in a more well-to-do area. The model is gorgeous! And it's convinient to everything! And you think "Oh it's so nice and for the price look at all you get!" Then think of us... Paying our outrageous electric bill, that will probably only go up in the next few months. Our walls that keep cracking. Me on my hands and knees ripping up bad caulking. And the gigantic brown spiders (Like the size of a quarter and a little larger) nesting in all of your belongings in your excellent storage space! ...and keep driving!! UPDATE: Now that spring is coming in I have noticed some new things that I thought I should mention. We were spider free for a few months and this morning I noticed a baby coming through our hole in the front door and scurrying across the floor. I can't tell you how overjoyed I am to have my house smelling like raid once again! Bathtub still has not been fixed even though I have made numerous "appointments" with the maintnance staff. So if you get our apartment later on down the line, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't get it fixed the whole year we were here so we could use it, and I'm sorry that a future resident won't be able to use it either. Our drafty window is getting water damage on the window seal now. Such high quality. And our electric bill is finally going down now that we can turn off the heat more. Thank God! We only have a few months left. And I will be checking the websites below for something else to rent. Thank you!

Great place!!
I have lived in this apartment complex for over a year and have absolutely loved living here!! It's very convenient to grocery stores, Blockbuster, the highway, many restaurants, and the mall. The staff is overly nice and the few maintenance requests I've had have been taken care of quickly and efficiently. It is a little more expensive than some other properties, but well worth it when you consider what you get, ie. storage space, attached garage, incl. w/d, sq. ft., etc. Of course you will hear your neighbors from time to time but it's an apartment. Do not base your decision on the negative reviews. This is a really nice place to live.

I am going to miss it!
I was on this site looking up apartment communities in Huston (where I am being relocated) and I thought I would check out my current community. I am shocked to see some of the negative comments on their page! I know that there are two sides to every story and that each individual may have different experiences, so I feel it is necessary for me to leave my opinion about Columns. As a current resident of more than 3 years, I feel I have a good perspective of this community (its strong points and its flaws). I moved into my apartment in March of 2005 and have been very comfortable during my entire stay. I have immensly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this community to anyone. There have been some minor maintenance issues in my three years ie: A/C would not shut off, drain in bathroom draining slowly, light out in front of my building etc. All of which were handle in a timely manner by the maintenance team. There are 2 gentleman who run the maintenance team here. I am not sure how many apartments there are here, but it seems like a pretty large job for just 2 men. However, in my experience, I have had no complaints in their timeliness. NOTE: I feel I must mention that just yesterday I saw a new guy that seems to be doing grounds work now. My family and I have really enjoyed the pool during the summer. My only complaint is other families and visitors that do not live at Columns are there occasionally. They have a trash compactor which is nice. The last place I lived had actual dumpsters that were emptied early in the mornings! They also have a wonderful shuttle service to and from the airport free of charge! That was very beneficial for my family as we travel on a regular basis. I have had wonderful experiences with the office team as well. I have personally met and spoke with the manger on numerous occasions. I believe she travels to many other properties and is more on a corporate level. Maybe that is why some people do not see her often. As for the few cons I can think of: parking lots become a little congested on weekends, business center is not open 24 hours (only during office hours), Even though there are dog areas with bags provided...alot of dog waste throughout grassy areas and I would like a larger closet in my bedroom! As for the way my move-out experience will be is yet to be seen. I dont forsee any issues arising, but I will certainly update my review if so. I hope this review helps someone interested in moving to Columns. I have been truly happy during my entire stay and would highly recommend.

Save your money
Ok so you go there get a couple young girls that say "the manager is not in today" I never saw the manager in the whole year I lived there. So you have all the young girl drama. Getting things fixed...wow is that a chore. Nate is good at his job the other one is just useless. Personally if you are going to spend that type of money do it in a better ran company. The units themselves are nice and big. But to get all the problems with it does not make it worth the time. They have major pool problems in the summer with children from the surrounding areas using the pool. They actually ask you the tenant to keep an eye out for people who don't belong. Most everyone I met regretted moving into there. Not that it has no potential its beautiful for a property, they just need real adults to run and maintenance it. Electricx bills also tend to be quite high.

Not good
I have been living here since September 2007, I haven't been happy at all. I have made numerous calls concerning the dishwasher, they come in act like they are fixing the problem & leave saying "If it happens again give us a call". I AM TIRED OF CALLING!!!!!!!!! I will be writing Mr. Goldstein a letter. I will not be renewing my lease & I will let others know how unhappy I am.

Sad to leave
I have been a resident at Columns for over 2 years now. I have been quite happy during my entire stay. The management/office staff are always polite and seem to geniunely care for their community. They are constantly trying to throw parties and social events for the residents (which I have never experienced before). This was very nice and enjoyable. My only complaint is the tight parking by my building (#19). Each apartment has a garage with a private drive, but guest parking is limited in this area. As a suggestion to anyone who has frequent guest/visitors, try another building. Other than that, Columns is top notch. I will continue to recommend this community to all my co-workers and friends.

Never a problem...
My fiancee and I lived at the Columns on Wetherington from August 2006 to August 2007. We moved out because we bought a house in Ohio, closer to work and to family. In the year during which we lived there, I cannot say that I once had a problem with management or maintenance. All the folks there were very helpful and courteous. Heck, my dog even liked 'em, and she doesn't like anyone! :) The unit we were in (in the 1609 building) was a spacious apartment, though the unit above us, for some time, was a contract apartment for Delta/Comair employees, and I think it served as temporary housing for some of their trainees while they were training. There was a lot of move-in/move-out activity above us, so that made for a slightly more noisy environment, but then we wound up with a Chinese family that didn't speak any English up there, so I couldn't ask them to contain the boisterous behavior of their children without getting anything but a smile and a chuckle. This, however, wasn't the fault of management -- it's just apartment living. We decided we didn't want to live with people above or below us anymore, so we bought a house. For apartment living, though, it's prime. Very clean, well-maintained, and one of the more upscale atmospheres of any apartment community I've yet seen, and I've lived in a few. You won't be sorry. Since it is a little pricier, you usually don't have to worry about riff-raff moving in. Otherwise, it is a relatively quiet community in which you'll enjoy living.

Great Place to Live!
Although my wife and I prefer the perks that come with living in a detached house, our stay at Columns on Wetherington was the best apartment experience that we have had. The office and maintainence staff were extremely professional and responsive. Our apartment was presented to us with new paint, clean carpets, and all equipment in working order. Additional attractions were: 1)Largest floorplan that we could find for a 3 bedroom 2)Apartments are insulated by nice housing communities (Great for trick-or-treat) 3)Walking distance to Kroger/Fifth Third Bank/Cleaners/Pizza/Library 4)Short drive to the Florence Mall We did experience some noise coming from neighboring apartments but the tenants were very courteous and willing to make adjustments. If you are in the market for nice quiet family-oriented apartment community, then you should definately look at Columns on Wetherington.

been here 5 months
I moved into a downstairs 2 bedroom apt. Loved it. Very pretty just right size for my daughter and I. Then a family moved in 3 bedroom above and the peace was gone. They were rude, noisy, constantly complaining to office about bogus stuff. And became violent and abusive to the point my daughter called the police. The staff were kind and understanding and let us move to another apt. We are upstairs in a 2 bedroom and its larger, peaceful, and neighbors are nicer and we hear no noise. I have asked the neighbors and they say they don't hear us. The staff are nice and helpful. The maintainance are too. It's a little pricy but a good school district and in a nice area. I would recommend it.

Love the columns staff
Even though my husband and I were only there for a few months, I really didn't want to leave. The assistant manager was quite good at what she does. She always made me feel at home and was always ready and willing to find answers to all of my difficult questions. She went out of her way more than a few times during our five month stay. The columns on wetherington are definitely worth every penny I spent. I give it five stars.
