I just moved in a month ago and love my apartment. I think the staff is great. At the time of my move in I had a few issues with that apartment and Franco was great in helping me resolve the issues immediately. The only issue I have is the parking and I have complained to the office and they seem to have a game plan and reassured me it would get fixed soon.

I had several bad experiences when I first moved in. My paperwork was handled incorrectly and things were miscommunicated. Im very displeased with the parking situation and had to change my work schedule in order to find parking. The office staff, excluding the new manager and Gloria, seem like they are not intelligent, and have a hard time doing their job properly. The only reason I renewed my lease is because this is the cheapest apt around. Otherwise if I had the money I would be out of here in a heartbeat.

My experience has been okay so far had a few complaints when I first moved in but everything seems to be resolved. So far I like everybody that works is the rental office I know they probably think I'm a little crazy but that's far from the truth. What I could say about this fast if they did try their best to improve anything that wasn't up to par when I moved in overall I really like the space of the apartment and of course I love Gaithersburg Maryland.

I hate this apartment. First of all, before I moved in we were shown a model apartment with an updated kitchen and bathroom that looked so nice. We saw our actual apartment the day before we were supposed to move in and it was NOT the same. The kitchen and bathroom looked old and dirty. Before I moved in, I read reviews and 2 things worried me: some people complained about insects and other people complained about maintenance guys walking into their apartment without warning, so before I moved in, I asked the guy in the leasing office specifically about these two things. He said "don't worry- those things will not be a problem". Guess what-- we found ants in the apartment right away. They did send an exterminator, but he had to come 2 or 3 times that year and once the next year as the ants came back. Also, 3 times while we lived there, maintenance and/or cleaning people just used a key and walked into our apartment. I had to go to the office to complain a couple of times before they sent someone to change the lock. Everything is falling apart. There's actually a hole in the floor underneath the carpet. Any time I needed something to get repaired, I had to go to the office and ask several times before someone would come fix it. The rent goes up at least $50-$70/month every year. I have to break my lease because we live in a 1 bedroom apartment and my stepchild has to come live with us (the lease says only 2 people can live there). They don't have any two bedroom apartments to transfer into so they're making us not only pay 60 days after giving notice, but an additional 1 month's rent as a lease breaking fee. Also, this is after someone in the office told me specifically that there is no fee, I would just have to pay 60 days rent once I give notice. I can't live in the apartment and they don't have any to transfer into! I've been a loyal tenant for the past 2 1/2 years and put up with the gross apartment, slow repairs, and people bombarding into my place without any notice and they're trying to charge me an extra $1,345 for breaking the lease. Awful. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Every little thing is a giant headache.

the unit assigned to me was nice and comfortable. The only problem I am facing there is that, there is a strong cigarette smoke odor in the unit. I am having issue with it because I am a non-smoker. I recommend that staff must make sure to check the smell in each of the unit before givien it out.

I first leaved here in 2015 and loved it! Staff is always friendly and ready to help, no issues with the neighbors. I like the location, close ti 270 and to many different grocery stores. The shopping mall is also near be. I would definitely come back here if I have the chance.

The apartment complex is nice, I love my apartment I just don't think the staff is professional, I don't think they care too much about their residences. I am still waiting on a call back about how I am going to be compensated about all the issues I had the first month. The office never calls you back. The last issue wouldn't have gotten complete if I didn't call. The agent lied to me and said that maintenance had come fix the windows a few minutes when I got off the phone with her is when the maintenance showed up to fix my windows. If I didn't call they wouldn't have come. As much as I love my apartment I wouldn't recommend it to a friend nor will I renew because I don't feel comfortable, don't feel as if I can rely on the community staff and just like a few of my neighbors said, if you want something done you are better off doing it yourself.

I have not had a positive experience. There is no attempt to maintain long term residents and in the 5 yrs I have been not once has the management acknowledged a mistake. Perhaps I am having a difficult time acknowledging their perfection.

This is a quiet residential area. Children do make some noise during beautiful days, but this is a reminder of how family friendly the apartment complex is. The grounds are kept up well by the maintenance staff while some renters choose to leave their trash around the areas making the grounds staff work much harder than necessary. I have enjoyed this lovely neighborhood for a few years now and feel that this is a fabulous place to live.

RUN AWAY AND DON"T LOOK BACK....THIS PLACE IS BADDDD:(Boy am I glad of this opportunity to post review.I got a mouthful! First off, they(office staff) size you up as you enter the office as being someone who will/or will not complain or/and accept the poor status quo.I'm here to tell you they didn't think too much of me.All the office staff was outside looking at a wreck, when they saw me(an african-american male) drive up,they were tripping over each other trying to get beckin side. They then tell me I can't even look at the apartment that I'm going to sign a 1 year lease on.I was in need so I overlooked this inconvenience. I know why,it's super small,420 sq.ft and grossly over-charged.Secondly,the tall -------- lady with glasses who sits in inside one of the inner offices runs the show. She hand picks her front person to do the bulk of the dirty work of dealing with tenants. The parking is RIDICULOUS.They didn't make it clear I ABSOLUTELY needed a parking pass, and got towed my first week.Secondly,if you work a second shift, you're screwed.NO PARKING IS AVAILABLE.You're forced to park up a quarter mile away or more, rain, snow, cold, makes no difference, and someone played etch-a-sketch on the side of my customized car.I have more to say but I may have reached character limit for posting. So do yourself a favor and don't even think about renting here!

MCA - ITS OKAY BUT NOT THE GREATEST
I have moved here and I am kind of convinced that I am overcharged for my unit. I must say it is far better from my previous apartment in DC. All in all most apartment complexes will do their best to keep repair costs as low as possible to gian maximum profit off the real propery itself. If you can do better - perhaps so. For my unit, there is a constant problems with spiders and bed bugs. Yeah things go wrong in an apartment - the turnaround time is not as swift. If it is a mold or leakage situation, those usually take precedence over other things. Pros - easy access to 270, Route 355, schools and a nearby strip mall called Muddy Branch, parking is reasonable, apartments are spacious but you do have some tenants who have like three to four families sharing two or three bedrooms uhmmmm???? Cons - maintenance turnaround time is kind of slow but it is usually for non-priority cases, rent will eat your paycheck up!, rental office - the young ladies are fair but Ms. Blance - at times is condescending - lower level apartemtns may not be able to receive satelitte service. If you are looking just for a temporary stop over to your next final destination, you can come here - I say it is mediocre.

Steer clear of this apartment complex
I lived in one of the ground-level apartment units from 1994 to 2007, a VERY long time. When I first moved there, the rental staff was very considerate, made an effort to communicate with tenants about their problems, and tried very hard to keep the place looking clean and well-tended. A few years later there was a staff turnover in the rental office, and their new attitude was that the tenant was there to pay the maximum amount possible, and should just keep his or her mouth shut about things like parking issues, filthy and overflowing dumpsters, tenants loitering in the entranceways smoking and socializing. Staff's attitude was "if you don't like it, feel free to leave" because they always had a steady stream of (low quality) prospective renters, and as long as they had warm bodies in the units, and rent was coming in, that was all that mattered. They actually preferred high turnover versus long-term stable tenants. My rent was raised every year between 6% and 7%, very high on the county's recommendations, and when it got to the point where I was paying more than double the original rent in less than 10 years, I formally objected - and they just laughed in my face.

Affordable, but most of the negatives reviews hold true
I have lived here 6 months so far, and I've got mixed feelings about the place. First, the good: I moved here for a job and had 10 days to find housing, and Montgomery Club was one of the few places that was within my budget (one bedroom for roughly $1,000) in this area of Gaithersburg. Montgomery Club was able to expedite my entry and the rental price fit within my budget. I don't know much about the previous office manager prior reviewers negatively speak of, but the office staff I have interacted with has been very curtious and friendly. The maintenance crew is friendly and quick to fix a task, although I think they've entered my apartment a few times while I was away without asking for permission and without my prior knowledge (as one reviewer noted in her experience). And even though they fix whatever is broken in a timely manner, their workmanship is fair at best, and they don't go too far above and beyond the call of duty. And now for the bad: The parking is aweful, and some spaces are narrow. Good luck finding parking new your building past a certain time in the evening. Additionally, there is a very lax attitude of the residents towards others vehicles, which has led to many door dings on my car. I bought my car new 3 years ago, and this is the third apartment complex I'm living in with it. This is also the first time that I'm getting scratches, door dings, and paint chips from bumper dings. Yes, I know these things happen to cars, but it is especially egregious here. The residents tend to have poorly kept older cars and have a lax attitude towards the care of them, which leads to them caring even less about the damage they might do to yours. Pests! I have had a terrible problem with cockroaches and ants since I moved in here, and 6 months later, the problem hasn't gone away. The apartment complex has had my place sprayed at least 4 times now, and it is still an issue. The absolute frustrating thing is when you have a pest problem through no fault of your own. I am an especially clean and tidy person, and do not leave food out or crumbs around, but I still every now and then see a cockroach on the wall or on the ground in my apartment, and there is a steady stream of ants that use my kitchen as a highway between outside and (i'm guessing) my neighbors apartment. It is becuase of the cockroach and ant infestation that I am looking forward to moving out of here come December. Rats! This is not an issue with my apartment, but I have seen rats (on 3-4 seperate occasions) by the first set of dumpsters after entering the apartment (the dumpsters along muddy branch road). I know that when garbage piles up prior to garbage day it is an open invitation for rodents, and the apartment owners cannot help this (aside from adding more dumpsters), but it's VERY unsetteling to see a big rat running across the road (right in front of your car) to hide under the dumpster at 7pm. It is just gross. All in all, I would NOT recommend this apartment complex. I read the negative reviews and gave it a shot anyway, because I need a place soon and the apartment complex fit within my location and price requirements, but I am already adjusting my finances to be able to afford a better place when my lease is up. I suppose you get what you pay for, but for $1000 a month, I expected much more, and I am dissappointed that the prior reviews proved true. (If things improve, I'll post an update in 6 months upon move out)

Great place to live
I've been living at Montgomery club for more than 4 years now. It's the quietest place I've ever lived. I never hear my neighbors. The landscaping is beautiful & always kept up. Twice I've had to call maintenance after 1:00 am & they were their in less then 30 min....If you're looking for a great place to live in a really nice neighborhood; This is where you should look!

RUDE STAFF, BAD PARKING, BAD MANAGEMENT!!!
We moved here in November last year and they were so nice to get us in, the lady in the office told us that we did not need a parking pass to park. to cut this story short they have towed our cars about 6 times, thee rental office only paid for two of them. Anytime we called to make a complain of a problem that we had, they we very RUDE and NOT HELPFUL at all. The maintaince guy show up in your apartment all the time, one morning I got out of bed just to open my bedroom door to go to the bathroom find a maintaince man standing right infront of my bedroom door ( I screamed) and he apologize.i called the pffice to report what had happened. the lady lauren was very rude to me after what had happened to me and she said she will called my back, she never did...DON'T MOVE HERE.. THEY HAVE RUDE STAFF AND BAD MANAGEMENT.. ONCE THEY GET YOU TO SIGN THE LEASE, DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU ANYMORE..I SERIOUSLY THINK THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY NEEDS TO EDUCATED THE STAFF MORE ON CUSTOMER SERVICE.!!!

great location and friendly staff!
I moved here from Chicago area 2 years ago. I've been here ever since, I live in the garden section of Montgomery Club and I LOVE IT!! Everything from the wonderful care and upkeep of the buildings and grounds to the professional, helpful office and maintenance stafff have been incredible since relocating here! Everytime I've had a maintenance request, maintenance shows up within 24 hours with no additional calls on my part. Min is the leasing agent, she's a gem! Need anything? Min knows it! The manager and ---'t are always there to lend a hand if you need. If you're moving here from anywhere, look no further! This is the place! Great for singles, couples and/or families! They had a wonderful family event here in August, music, food and prizes! We had a blast!

Poor upkeep, overpriced
We are in the "townhouses" on Killarney Ln. The upkeep of the unit was very poor. Shoddy painting; I found a pop tab painted into a cabinet, vents with dust painted on, windows and doors with paint on them to name a few. All the closet doors were stiff and came off the tracks easily. We had lighting issues where some of the light switches didn't work on any outlet and were told "it doesn't work" instead of them trying to fix it. The fact that they didn't work tells us that there's a short in the wall somewhere which is a fire hazard. One light would work for a short time then just turn off. They said "we fixed it" and when we said "no, it still isn't working" they said there was nothing they could do. There wasn't a screen on one sliding door and it wasn't fixed until 6 months after we requested it repaired. We went for a few days with no heat, despite telling them a few times that the heater wasn't working right. Some of the maintenance workers are very nice and try hard, but I don't think the best contractors are hired. The first day we moved in we found people eating in our living room while they were working on the exterior of the building. There were construction materials left all over the grounds for weeks and no work was being done. The play area has swear word graffiti on it (yes, I told management, nothing was done). The garbage and recycling are often overflowing- but management's solution is to tell people that if they're full to not put anything in them. You are not allowed to put anything on or in front of your door (like a doormat) even though there are separate entrances for each unit. The light in the entry way was often shorting out and when we requested that it be fixed were told "it's on when we are there." as if there clearly was no issue. The water heater was turned so low you couldn't take an adequate shower or bath, we had to hunt for how to adjust it ourselves. A drain cover in the shower was loose and we requested it to be re-attached but it never was. Same with a towel bar- they took the loose one off and never put one back on. the office staff were often very short with us and if we left messages they didn't return them. We had to be sure to call and talk to a live person. We were never told when people were in our unit to do the work, we had to guess or see that it was done to know. Often times we were dealt with like we were to be brushed off or ignored. Often had to make multiple phone calls to have anything handled. There were a few abandoned cars in the lot that never moved, but they weren't ticketed or anything. .

Illegal Immigrants & Welfare tenants MOSTLY!
The property manager's office are NASTY & RUDE management, non-caring with a NEO-FACIST attitude, who believes tenants don't know their rights as tenants in Montgomery county. The manager's office have picks for those they don't like and those they do like and show favor too..they demonstrate unethnical management. I'm surprized a law suit hadn't been file against the Charles E Smith & Company for the lack of management abilitiy at Montgomery Club Apartments. The property is out- dated, but yet rent is at fair market value with-outdated apartments dating back to the 1980's. Beware of the the manager's office, (3) old misable females who are all but NEO----- Facist. The majority of tenants are latins (lots of them)..and single mothers on county assistance to help pay their rent. If you want to live comfortable and see other tenants who are hard working class people, this is not the place for you, the grounds are filty, trash bend over flow daily, not enuff parking spots. Young children running all over the parking lots with their bikes, committing damages to the cars. The place is one step up from being a haven known as a PROJECT DWELLING. However, their are some "montgomery club townhomes" across from the main property of apartments which appears to be kept up nicely, but then again, like I stated earlier, the manager's office have their picks for that part of the property. BEWARE of building 17124..that is were a lot of illegal immigrants and welfare mothers reside and their undiscipline children, the manager's office could care less what they do as long as the rent is paid.. and the building is in the back next to the trash been..you get the picture? They are SLUM LORDS! Montgomery Club Apartments? STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE A WORKING CLASS PERSON WHO PRIDE THEMSELVES and want to COMe HOME TO A NICE < SAFE AND CLEAN ENVIROMENT, THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU WILL FIND AT MONTGOMERY CLUB APARTMENTS!

don't move here
This place is over priced and not worth the money. The leasers are average but the upper management is disrespectful and rude. They don't respect personal property. They towed my car less than a month after registration expired rather than just leaving a warning. The floor plan is a big living room but TINY bathroom and kitchen. It took a month to fix a leak in the wall after I had to remove all my clothes to keep them from smelling like mildew. There are tiny spiders that won't go away. One bit me back in Jan. and there is a small mark still on my leg. This place is way over rated and not worth the money.
