I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking to live in the Red Bridge area. They have great services including a dog park, a mile long walking trail, beautiful lakes/forests and a work out facility. The only complaint I can think of is that I wish Timber Lakes would switch Internet/Cable services. Time Warner Cable is unreliable and slow. I would hope that they use the excellent opportunities that Google Fiber is offering Kansas City.

We moved in on October of 2013.. Haven't had any problems thus far.. Only thing I have to say is I was really excited because google fiber is coming to our area && I've waited forever just to find out that our complex said no, they would not allow us to get fibers services.. The provider they provide doesn't have good internet connection & the basics cable channels we get are nothing interesting. I don't want the complex to pay for it just want the option to have google fiber it's sad we pay good money to live here but can't get all the amenities the community offers!

I don't recommend this complex to anyone. Management is incompetent and will scam you anyway they can. This is the worst experience I have had living in an apartment

I have lived here a little less than a year. I do like living here. Noise: I only hear my upstairs neighbors. Not your normal walking. 2 adults that have to run up and down the stairs and slam their door every time they come and go. Wish the ceilings where thicker. Grounds are beautiful and great trail for walking my dog. Safety: I have always felt safe here. They could stand to put up a couple street lights and one by the dog park. I like not having the city feel but a few lights wouldn't hurt. Maintenance: they have always fixed what few issues I had immediately. Only one item needed to be fixed again. Staff: There is a new manager Cindy, seems to bet very nice. Cindy and Katie have been a great help. The assistant manager Molly, is not. Ironically, Molly sent out an email awhile back asking for people to put reviews on here. If you move here or live here I would wait to talk with someone else. Which won't be hard b/c she doesn't seem to actually want to help anyone. She just sits behind her desk and fades off into space. She is rude, has poor customer service and I am not sure why she is in a management role. Again, this is a nice place to live. I would recommend it. This place does have a few issues but compared to places I looked at prior to moving in, this place is worth it. You are never going to find the perfect apartment.

When I moved here in 2010 I really like the location #1 and the staff seemed to be okay. Boy was I wrong, they are not nice at all they say whatever to get you here (I had a friend tell me they have a honeywell employee discount, I've never heard of such a thing offered to me). The bugs are off the chain around here, people do not pick up after their dogs. You can smell what your neighbors are cooking (yuck) I have to air out my apartment all the time to get the random smells from other apartments out, which since its private entrances I thought i wouldn't have to deal with. They do not commincate at all anymore, they used to have things at the club house for residents but not anymore. Its just an overpriced run down place that they painted ugly colors without updating the inside of apartments at all. The gate at the front entrance NEVER WORKS it almost wrecks my car every time I leave in the morning because it randomly shuts on you as you are leaving. I've actually seen it not open at all and a guy push it open with his truck because clearly we need to get out and its only 1 entrance/exit. I'm SO excited to give my notice to move out of this hellish place!!!!!!!!!!! Now that makes me smile.

I moved into Timberlakes in April of 2013. I was exhausted on my house hunting trip and had just about given up when I had a real estate agent refer this property to me based on my "must have's" which was a gated entry, garage, and looking out onto a beautiful scene versus another apartment unit. I got all that! Molly is wonderful and very responsive. The maintenance crew are wonderful and take care of issues right away. The biggest negative is the lack of quality in the unit's products - such as the windows, the kitchen cabinets and cheap, tiny plastic showers but there is always a trade-off in life.

I have been here for a few years. There has been some turnover in the staff, but Molly is the best and she is still here. Always nice and helpful to everyone.

Timber Lakes at Red Bridge is a hidden gem in Kansas City. Just off of I-435 and State Line, it is convenient to virtually anywhere. But it's the amenities and the staff that really make Timber Lakes a place you'll want to call home. From the fully stocked lakes to the walking/running path that surrounds the property, you can get in touch with nature while you're at home. And the maintenance and property management staff does a great job in immediately responding to any and all needs you may have as a resident. Couple that with an on-site fitness center, a great pool, and apartments with screened-in decks and you have a place you'll love to call home.

Ive lived at Timberlakes for a little over two years now, and I love it. The first time I lived here was in a two bedroom with a roommate, and when our lease was up she moved for work and I went to a one bedroom. I love the office staff, and all the amenities that are offered at Timberlakes. The 24 hours gym and walking trail are the biggest ones for me. I also love the fact that the washer and dryer are in the units, that was a deal breaker for me. There's nothing more frustrating than having to deal with a public laundry room.

Timber Lakes has been home over two years now and life has continued to improve in, 'The Lakes'. Resurfaced asphalt throughout the community, and comnplete repainting has reflected the commitment of the management, maintance and ground crews at this hidden jewel in South Kansas City, MO. The pool is great for all ages but 4' is perfect for children. The Gym is one of the best i've seen for an apartment commmunity with a large assortment of machines and dead weights as well. Most appreciated is the cleanliness of these facilities. BBQ grills are a great addition for some extra large unexpected events to party near the pool. Winter snow and ice removal is quickly attended by the TL staff and our elderly parents appreciate that very much. Managers Molly and Katie are helpful with any issue and have gone the extra mile to get a problem fixed. Our apartments have had several minor routine maintenance issues and all were addressed much sooner than i expected. Despite daily challenges with any populated living facility Timber Lakes keeps up with maintaining a class facility hidden in the treeline of Red Bridge Road. Mike Harrison

We have lived here almost two years and love it! Our apartment is very nice, the grounds are beautiful, and any maintenance issue has been handled promptly. The office staff is very friendly and helpful, and we appreciate the personal attention they give to the residents. My husband frequently uses the exercise room, and we both enjoy sitting by the lake. We also took advantage of the opportunity to have a plot in the community garden this summer. We're happy at Timber Lakes and plan to be here at least two more years.

Very clean and kept grounds, maintenance issues were always handled in a timely manner, nice workout area, staff was very courteous and helpful (especially Molly, always available even when busy). Nice views of the woods and or ponds, apartments off of the street and set back a bit from the main road, creates a nice quiet environment. Had to relocate or I would still be there.

My husband I moved into Timber Lakes in 2011, we moved in 2012 because we moved out of state. Our time at Timber Lakes was pretty wonderful. It felt like living at a resort! The grounds are absolutely beautiful!! We loved walking on the trail that surrounds the property. Our apartment was very nice and spacious.

My wife and I have lived at Timber Lakes for almost three years and have been very satisfied with everything. The grounds are well kept and we love the walking trail with four small lakes where we often see deer and other wildlife. We have had absolutely no issues. We love that it is a gated community, apartment has washer and dryer, it is very quiet, and we have covered parking. Maintenance was very prompt to take care of the couple of issues we have had since living here and the office staff, especially Molly, who was our original leasing agent and is still here is awesome and has been great to work with. Would highly recommend Timber Lakes to anyone looking for well kept, quite neighborhood with excellent staff!

I lived in this community for more than two years, relocated and then when it was time to return to Kansas City, immediately moved back to Timberlakes. While there are many things I enjoy about the apartments, my favorite is the staff and rapid response whenever there is a problem that should arise. The amenities are great and I like the in complex workout room, outside walking trail and sense of secturity provided by being in a gated area. The other things I love the most are e-billings and being able to payment on-line. The rates are very reasonable and having the water, trash and cable TV rolled into a single payment is an added bonue.

I have been living at Timberlakes for over 3yrs. It has been a very pleasant experience. It is a gated community, and the property,is very safe. There are tons of amenities to include a walking trail, pool, 24/7 gym, and stocked fishing lakes. Over the years the staff has gone above and beyond in serving us well. The management is very pleasant and have become friends. Molly is on the management team and has been great to work with. This is the best rental experience I've had. The prices are a bit high, but this is a scenario where you really do get what you pay for. Quality. It's hard to put a price on having that sense of safety and community like we do here. I highly recommend Timberlakes.

I really enjoy living here. Molly was most helpful as I was moving from out of town. She showed me a few apartments just before the office closed on one of my trips thru Kansas City. She was patient and helpful although it was late. She helped finalize all the other details by phone & email. Even though my arrival was delayed by a blizzard everything was ready when I arrived. Thank You, Molly!

My husband and I lived at Timber lakes for 2 years and in March of 2013 we were relocated for work during out two years here we loved everything about being here. We were treated so well by everyone we came in contact with. Linda and Molly really helped with a personal issue we had with a neighbor and never made us feel any thing but welcome here. When we had to relocate Linda and Molly again helped with everything in breaking our lease and they walked us through each step. Molly even went above and beyond we had to leave before our walk through could happen and she called us to update us on everything. It was a smooth and good experience. When the job was finished we decided to shop around when moving back to KC we looked at all the apartments in the area and none of them compared. This complex is clean the staff is great Katy helped us rent our new place. We had lived in a two bedroom when we lived here before and we chose a one bedroom when we moved back. Katy took me around and let me see the other apartment options and let me pick where we would be located I was picky but she was patient and kind through the whole process. Move in day was great I had forgotten a couple things but other than that we signed and were in without any issues. I have not gotten to know the new manager like I knew Linda but she has been so amazing to us and is always smiling and willing to help with anything. I am so glad there was an apartment open here when we moved back to KC!!

I would never recommend this place to anyone. Yes they are gorgeous apartment complexes and the staff are always friendly. I pay a lot of money each month to feel safe and live in an all around nice place. I've been here almost a year. Half the time the gates are never closed. What's the point of being in a gated community? Secondly I've had numerous maintenance problems where my work order is always misplaced. For example, I was without electricty for over two days. I was without hot water for over 24 hours until someone showed up to fix it, that's not even the best part. When I came home after work to turn on the water nothing came out and of course the office doesn't open until 10 am after most people are already at work. I've had other maintenance problems and those always took so long to fix as well. Also the office had lost or misplaced my rent check multiple times. Don't waste your money or time here.

I was fortunate enough to live in one of just a few units that had a beautiful, panoramic view of the northern sky. This contributed largely to my very positive living experience. With the exception of just one neighbor, my four years were mostly quiet with courteous neighbors. Not every maintenance issue was fixed properly the first time but they were always helpful and quick to respond. Was surprised only at the relaxed response to some leaks that formed in my ceiling just before I moved out. At one point, I know they were working to re-roof all the buildings. The only unexpected inconvenience was that the heat/air system is very loud. It drowns out any TV/music in the room; small adjustment to make, however. Overall, enjoyed living at Timberlakes & loved coming home.

My family and I have lived at Timberlakes for two years and have had multiple issues. First of all, we rented a garage to use for storage and when they assigned it to us, they did not account for it in their computer systems. Conciquently, they rented out our garage to another person and when assigning it to them they found all of our belongings...AND THREW THEM AWAY!!!! Baby clothes, decorations, mementos, pictures, a Christmas tree...It took us 3 months and a lot of arguing to get the money for the belongings that they stole or threw away, who knows? They have also lost two checks that were left in their rent drop box, and expected me to pay a late charge for the checks that they lost! Finally, because of the lost check incidents, I tried to pay our rent online. They withdrew the $985.00 from our account TWICE! I love the complex and the maitenence staff is prompt and do their job well, but the clerical work NEEDS IMPROVEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not pay almost $1,000.00 a month to live here.

When I moved in almost four years ago, this place was great. Nicole was a true asset to the complex and since she has moved, I have issues getting anything done. When I was out of town for a week in late August, a bad storm came through and I came home to my window in my bedroom being soaked, leaking on the carpet, and filthy. I called repeatedly and left messages and sent emails about the situation. I received no response until I had to go in to the office a week later, and was told they were sorry they didn't return calls and that the email I was sending to isn't checked regularly. Why have it then?!? It took another week to get it completed. It's now May and I have a mold issue in my bathroom. I've called and left messages and no one returns them. I have to call again to get it done, which I shouldn't have to. The perk to this place is that you get free cable. That's the only one. The management are awful and they used to be so good. I can't wait for my lease to end, I want out of this damn place.
