I love this community because I feel safe, I appreciate the staff andI have wonderful neighbors. I don't know there's NO perfect place, but I truly believe I am at one of the best complex in KC.I have lived in this community since 2010 and I plan to sign another lease. Please don't let any negative comments keep you from checking out a great place to live!I am very pleased with our new office staff. I had a few issues with my lease and I worked with the office manager and she worked things out for me and I was very pleased. In my 10yrs here I have always cleaned my own carpet but because of health issues I am physically unable to clean my carpet. I spoke with Raven our new office manager and ask if I could get my carpet cleaned before my surgery next week, she did not hesitate to say to say yes. I receive a call on a Thursday at the will be her Monday to clean my carpet. They were here today, and did a amazing job. I believe if we give our new staff the opportunity to get to know our Community and the tenants, our complex will be even better place to live. Thank you Raven for being so kind and helpful. I truly appreciate your compassion to my situation.

DON'T DO IT!!!! They are so disrespectful and care nothing about their residents. (bet they regret asking me to write a review). They use YOUR items for maintence repairs without asking. I asked for a wasps nest to be removed they not only used MY bug spray, which mind you was in the laundry not visible which means they went through my things, they also used my household broom to knock it down. I came home to clean and wondered why my broom smelled of bug spray when I called they admitted to using it. Who does that?!?! They are just rude and only care about their lawn care and getting your rent check. There is not enough closet space and the windows are no good. If you need to be in this area, please seek another place to live

Rude rude rude!!!!
Rude! Rude! Rude! Is all I can say about the management team here! I went to make a vital complaint a few days ago and I was told "why are you coming to me with this problem, solve it with your neighbor, you are two grown women!" I even told her that If I do that then the situation may escalate! She didn't care! She had a smirk on her face the whole time! I bet if I have the police invoked, that'll get their attention! Management is very rude! I've read other reviews and I agree...no one can do math in the office building! My first rent due I was told I owe $30 more dollars....keep your paperwork from the begining that shows the real amount you're suppose to pay. Beautiful environment, small apartments, RUDEST STAFF I'VE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH!!

the apartments and grounds are nice and relatively new; however, it took them 4 tries to fix my garbage disposal even though I told them what was wrong with it (I guess they didn't believe an engineer would know) and the water tastes/smells moldy. I know what your thinking, KC water isn't the best and ..... but I drink the water from the tap everywhere else I have gone in the KC and Overland Park area and this stuff at Redbridge is not healthy; if my hand washed dishes didn't dry fast enough, black mold would grow on them. I have ruined my humidifier with their water too. So, if you don't mind drinking bottled water exclusively or showering in questionable water, then this place is fine and easy on the eyes... Update, I have seen 6 new reviews just today(a year later). Someone is stacking the deck. Don't believe all the reviews you read.

If you enjoy dealing with morons...this place is for you!
I started out in a 1 bedroom and really didn't have many problems. After 1 year I moved into a 2 bed/2 bath with a roommate. From that moment my living experience went down the tube. For starters, they advertised a "look a lease" where you get a certain price off if you sign a lease that day. Well we didn't qualify for it because I already lived there. Okay, but I'm bringing an additional body! The walls are paper thin, you can literally hear people have normal volume conversations next to you. It was pretty tough to keep the place warm in the winter, even plastic over the windows didn't help. The staff there is awful. They can't do simple math and are very rude. They charged my card TWICE for the full amount of rent even though my roommate and I submitted separate forms for rent EVERY MONTH. They didn't even care if it over drafted my bank account or not. The front gate is pointless, half the time it's broke or you can just follow someone in that knows the code or has a remote. DO NOT LIVE HERE!

Yikes
Anyone who is writing a nice review about this place, obviously hasn't had to leave. Once you leave, they will literally gauge you for every dime they possible can. Make sure you read your lease as well, because they love to throw stuff in there that makes absolutely no sense. My roommate had to move, so I moved in with another friend and they charged my roommate and I both "verification fees", just to say we lived there. They also do not know how to do math, so don't expect your payments to ever be correct. They literally charged my roommates card for both parts of the rent twice, then when we asked them about it, they basically said too bad, have your roommate write you a check. It didn't even matter that it overdrafted his account, they don't care. Make sure when you leave that you've got a couple G's in the bank. Other than that, it's paradise lol.

Good, but Nothing Special
It's a good place to live (been here 2 years), but don't expect anyone to go above and beyond for you. Compared to other places I've lived, and other places in the area, this is a good place and prices aren't outrageous. Being gated helps you feel safe too. Reasonable job with snow removal. Landscaping is normally good. Pool and workout center are nice, but a little more upkeep would be beneficial. The leasing staff is usually a nightmare to deal with. Unfriendly, unresponsive and typically don't seem to care much about your requests. Maintenance staff responds quickly, but isn't great. Windows are TERRIBLY insulated -- i can see the blinds move in the wind while the window is closed -- and when asked about having them resealed, maintenance staff claimed they just weren't closed properly (STILL NO RESOLUTION). Poor insulation coupled with inefficient appliances lead to big utility bills in summer and winter. Terrible enforcement of people cleaning up after pets and residents constantly speed through the complex and don't stop at any stop signs.

A great place to live!
I have lived here for 7 months and it is an excellent place to live. The grounds and maintenance staff are exceptional. You only have to ask once and maintenance fixes problems within 24 to 48 hours. The staff is friendly and helpful. The apartments are a step above others in the area and the amenities are a plus. I don't think you will find a nicer apartment for the price.

Management is rude and always too busy
Linda, the property manager, is rude, harsh and manipulative. When I complained about the noisy neighbors, she basically said, "welcome to apartment life". All of the staff, except Kira, always act like you are bothering them. They always seemed stressed and bothered. The unit we moved in reeked of smoke, and had cigarette burns on the counters, washer, and sink. The unit was not repainted, and the carpet was cheap and felt like concrete. They hype up that its a gated community, but the gate doesn't work more than half of the time. We had a upper unit, and it was cold and drafty. They said they were putting in a bark park, and that never happened. I did like the layout of the apartment and the size of the bathrooms and closets, but that about all of the good I can find.

renewing our lease!
We are very impressed with facilities, service and staff at Timberlakes at Red Bridge. I would recommend them to anyone for price as well as standard of living. The fitness center is beyond anything we've seen at any complex, anywhere. Most recently when we received a foot of snow, management had employees removing snow rapidly and broadly. They went so far as to individually shovel out every car in the complex, salt all walkways, open up access to mail and trash in a timely manner. I've lived in numerous apartment complexes and this by far the best. John Winkler

Wonderful place...
My father lived in Timber Lakes for six years. The staff led by Linda along with Molly were truly warm and caring and helpful. Dad was very happy and secure there. He used all of the facilities, enjoyed his neighbors and the interaction with Management was exceptional The setting is very beautiful. My father has now moved into his next phase and moved to Villa Ventura Care Center. I highly recommend Timber Lakes. Sincerely, Jack Hanrahan Kansas City, Mo.

The Longest Tenant Ever, I Love this Place
I have been living at this resident for eight years. The customer service is excellent and I disagree that the manager Linda is rude. Ever time I visit the club house one of the staff members including Linda ask if everything is okay with my apartment. Every time I ask for a work request the work is completed within 24-48 hours. I had one loud neighbor but and was glad when he moved. I agree bad tenants can make your stay miserable, but I have been lucky so far. When I moved here eight year ago they were still building. Since then we have had added improvements such as speed bumps, steps added to back of building, containers for pet waste, walking trail, additional parking spaces, auto-dialer messages if any break-ins on site, security at specific times, resident activities year-round, newsletter, and many more things.

Just Signed My Third Lease
Going on 3 years living here at Timberlakes. This is a great place to rent for the following reasons: 1. The apartment layouts are open and modern. 2. All buildings on the property are no more than 2 apartments high. Anyone who's rented before knows why this is important... 3. Property is beautiful and pet-friendly. 4. They have a REAL fitness center. (not just a treadmill with a TV in the corner) 5. Property/Facility services are awesome and very quick in responding to any issues. (they were clearing property roads during the '09 winter very early on Christmas morning!!!) 6. Office staff has always been very helpful and easy to communicate with. I was able to successfully negotiate incentives when signing my 2nd and 3rd lease. (very happy with the outcome both times)

Excellent Customer Service for Maintenance Assistance
As a relative newcomer at Timber Lakes at Red Bridge, I want to thank the Community Manager, Linda and the Maintenance Supervisor for their timely response to our service request on a major appliance (stove) which appeared to malfunction. Our safety concerns were taken seriously by these folks and we appreciate the outcome--per our request, the stove was immediately assessed and replaced with a new one (right out of the box). This kind of working relationship makes one believe the "customer service and safety ethic" is alive and well at Timber Lakes at Red Bridge.

Peaceful, quiet, and safe. A wonderful place to live.
I have lived here for over a year now and have nothing but good things to say! The management is awesome and ALWAYS quick to see to your needs. As a newly wed, the number one issue for me in finding an apartment was safety. The low number of break ins, the sense of community, and the police patrols convinced me that this is the safest place around. I love how every day I see at least 5 deer right out my back window. I love the 1 mile walking trail, the 4 small lakes, and how clean and nicely kept the grounds are. I love how personable, kind, and professional the management is (especially Keera! Thank you!). EVERY time I have had a maintenance issue, the management has been on it! [Short example - I made a small comment about my ice cubes tasting a little funny (not even a formal complaint, just a comment in talking) and a couple days later the management had a water filter installed for my ice maker.] The service, combined with the beauty of this place, makes me feel like I'm living in a resort! I am so happy to have found this place. It has helped to make my first year of marriage a memorable one. Parking: I have NEVER not found a spot within 50ft of my apartment. There are always open places. Noise: In all fairness, the walls can be a bit thin, but we only have one neighbor because of the way the apartments were designed and it hasn't been an issue. Grounds: Tell me one place that is anywhere near this price range that is this half as beautiful! It makes me forget that I'm in Kansas City. :) Safety: Safest place I know of in the area by far. Construction: For an apartment, its great. We have our own balcony, a walk in closet, plenty of storage. Everything feels solid and looks new. Maintenance: All issues I've had (and there have only been a few) have met within the week and done right the first time. You get a free carpet cleaning after a year, they stay up on the painting, and the grounds are VERY well maintained (beautiful trees, flowers, shrubs, new mulch, etc). The gym and pool are always clean. Staff: Amazing. They go out of their way to meet your needs. I highly recommend Timber Lakes for a safe, beautiful, and quiet place to live. ~james schaefer, current resident.

Great Place, nice extras
The location is perfect. Beautiful grounds, like a park, complete with deer & geese. The walking trail around the complex & lakes is great. Fitness center is available 24/7, good equipment too. So many residents have been here for years. The office staff has always been great to me. The clubhouse has coffee & cookies and a cozy fire in the winter, cool lemonade in the summer. They negotiated and include water, now I pay less and one less bill to pay. The little extras are nice, a party for pets, pizza night, a garden area. But the best thing is the free fitness instructor. She figured out a problem with my rotator cuffs and gave me special exercises that are helping. Since taking her classes I've improved my speed running significantly, knocked 40 seconds off my time per mile. I've dropped 15 lbs since living here and probably am in the best shape in 20 years.

Awesome place to live!
My husband and I have lived here for a year already and we are eagerly signing up for another. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful and there is no other apartment complex in this area that can compare to it. 4 lakes, tons of grass, a mile trail around the beautiful complex... totally makes you forget you are in the middle of a city. Love the staff... they are friendly, reliable, and extremely helpful. Also, anytime we have requested maintenance help we have had an immediate response.... very impressive. The complex feels clean and safe. Besides the walls being a bit thin (which can be remedied by a fan) and cigarette smoke that can occasionally leak into our closet from our neighbors below, we really have no other complaints. We totally recommend Timber Lakes as the perfect place to live in this part of Kansas City!

This place is horrible!!!!
This place is absolutely terrible! I am counting the days until my lease is up! The staff is rude especially your apartment manager Linda. I have never seen her in a good mood. You'd think she would be kind to her residents. Definitely not! Break INS happen on a regular basis which they don't car about. The insulation is terrible. Maintance is kind, but they work to quickly and give a half --- job. Probably because their unkind manager Linda is down their throat. The leasing staff always looks miserable. Probably because their manager Linda sets a negative work environment for them. There's geese poop everywhere. Parking is a nightmare. They do not inforce parking rules here. This place is a typical apartment complex. They will do whatever it takes to get you in, and once you're in you are no longer part of their concern. I blame management!

Great Apartment Complex
I am not sure what people are talking about when they complain. I have had nothing but good things to say about the staff and the complex. During the recent Christmas snow storm, the grounds crew were out on Christmas day clearing the streets and sidewalks while the surrounding streets were very difficult to travel. All maintenance issues have been answered quickly (within a day or two) and corrected without any issues. All the staff have been very professional and responsive to any issues. Yes, there are things I would change if I owned the apartment however I do not and these are very small as well as easy to live with.

No Thanks
The upside to this property is its nice walking trails and landscaping, which are great especially if you have pets. There are also recycling bins next to the dumpster which is a feature that we have appreciated. However, these are about the only things we have found about this complex that we enjoy. Their pet deposit is outrageous and should be termed as "pet fee" rather than "deposit" because it's ridiculously high and you don't get any of it back, on top of the pet rent you have to include every month. The layout is too cramped and doesn't allow proper kitchen and bathroom storage. Also, the thin walls have allowed us to hear EVERYTHING going on in the apartment about us and the lack of parking has forced the neighbors in the building across from us to start taking our spots. From what I understand there has been at least one break in since we've been here, a matter which isn't helped by the fact that the gate is usually broken or just left open. Other than Molly (who has been personable, professional, and a great help to us the whole time we've been here) the office staff is unimpressive and actually pretty rude. We are quite anxious to move.

Best Apartments Ever
These are the best apartments in the area!! I have never met a nicer management team than Linda and Molly. The apts are well kept and have everything you need. Including a newer washer and dryer in your own laundry room. My electric bills ran very low every month, I had FREE basic cable which is amazing, a great porch and plenty of room in the apt. I really loved living there.

Great new tenant experience
I had been looking for a nice apartment to call home. I was driving to another property nearby when I chanced on this gorgeous apartment community. I must say I got real lucky, the rent was a steal- the view breathtaking. The staff was extremely courteous and eager to help. Special thanks to my leasing agent Molly for going above and beyond in welcoming me home! Kudos to you in making this such an easy, fun and pleasant experience!! Cheers to Daniel, the maintenance supervisor for taking my little requests and additions to make my already beautiful would-be home perfect!!! I am moving this weekend and I am extremely excited to say the least.... Thank you timber lake for such a great positive start to my stay!!!

Overpriced
I have lived here for almost two years and I would not recommend it to anyone who values their dollar. When we moved in we were told that two other apartments would be ours before they finally showed us our actual apartment. Also, they told us that rent is higher because they have real tile instead of linoleum, SO WHAT? Apartments look nice to an untrained eye I suppose, but missing normal things like a pantry, towel racks, and drawers in the bathroom. Management is nothing short of rude and uncapable. The first year we lived here, the only utility we paid was electric. Then when we renewed our lease they added water to our responsibilities with no warning or notice. The water company had to tell me that Timberlakes added it to our lease after we had 2 months of water bills backed up. Also, there have been 4 ROBBERIES since I have lived here, and all they have is a 30 yard gate to prevent crime. I am staying here because I can't afford to move, and I cant stand the hassle of moving, but I am anxious to get out as soon as possible.
