I just moved here a week ago and have been super frustrating. It took them 6 days to give me a mailbox key, after you sign a contract, they take so long to reply to your emails and sometimes they did not even reply. Before I signed the contract, I was promised a $1,000 gift card by a leasing manager who no longer works here. They do not want to give me the card and started saying that they never offered $1,000 gift card for apartments in the South tower. The concierge and other staff have been very friendly except for one of the leasing managers, Hillary! If you want good customer service and someone to listen to you, please avoid her! Please make sure that all promises they make you as written!!! They do not care about you (resident) after you sign a contract.

Skyhouse North tower needs a lot of attention it reminds me of the hood downtown Charlotte the DEA are always coming in the building , parties are thrown every weekend with random airbnb guest guns go off quarterly ppl get kidnapped off the sidewalks people get robbed propertys gets broken into and concierge is a joke always a new face every mth welcome to the Skyhouse!

This is a very nice and quiet area of town small shops and restaurants all over. You can walk or scooter deeper downtown. Super easy access to all major highways and Skyhouse has plenty of amenities two thumbs up.

Skyhouse is an amazing place to live because of its views, amenities and unparalleled sense of community here. The CARES team took a very unique approach during the pandemic, creating activities and remote events that were so vital to keeping our sanity during that time. Our community was actually strengthened through covid, and it was much to do with Luke and Lizzy's ability to keep us connected, hence why I'm on 3 years and counting here. I recommend to all my colleagues and friends!

Absolutely love this place. I have lived for about 4 years now and am not ready to move yet ??. I have made my best friends here through --------------------- amazing events be it through wine tasting, dj night, workout sessions . Looking forward to more of these coming summer.

As I wrap up my birthday month, I am filled with gratitude for many things. Loving where I live (Skyhouse Uptown), especially during Covid/self-quarantine, is something I am most grateful for. In the whirlwind of the last year, our management, leasing, Cares Team and concierge have ensured my neighbors/friends and I were safe and happy. Extra special thanks to the following: Our Cares Team (Luke and Lizzy) for seamlessly transitioning to virtual/contactless events and exercise in the beginning of Covid. Then, taking into account the easing of restrictions. You have done an excellent job at making all events fun, exciting and super creative. Vanessa Gonzalez and the baby for always being there to assist with the most beautiful smile on your face. Thanks for working through leasing questions for me and so many others and assisting me with an elderly neighbor during this time. Luisa/Hillary - I have not had to nag you, but I know you two are behind the machine ensuring it is well oiled and running efficiently. My encounters with you are always very pleasant. Concierge - Thanks for being pretty freaking amazing during this time too and always being pleasant and following my text directives. I know there was additional work due to covid, but you have handled it with grace Thanks again for keeping us safe and happy at Skyhouse Uptown. Stay blessed, safe and lifted!

I have lived in Skyhouse for almost a year . office ladies and maintenance guys are nice and concierge are a great benefit. Vanessa helped me find my studio and she very kind and answered all of my questions.

This place appears nice from the outside looking in. Its really a upscale catastrophe. The amount of air bnb people is madness, the lack of respect for one another in regards to no smoking and keeping your pets tamed is super frustrating. The leasing staff is ok. A lot of things are out of their hands but it is super frustrating to deal with this and have to pay these crazy prices.

It's a nice place to live thanks to your leasing team I did not move in the VUE. But because your leasing team work so well with me. It made me feel sure she would be there for. So as of right now all of them are great help and I appreciate that from all of them.

Considering how 2020 was the apartment did a good job overall trying to keep the community satisfied, their is room for approving but overall my experience has been pretty good. The staff has been the best part of it all.

Skyhouse was hands down the worst place I've ever lived. I saw so many reviews warning me of exactly the problems I ended up having and thought they wouldn't be a big deal, but they definitely were. In short, my apartment always smelled like weed, management was a complete joke, and my roommates and I broke our lease to get out early. I'll start with the good things - the view was amazing, the floor to ceiling windows and floorplans were great. The concierges were typically nice and helpful. That's about it... Next, here are some things that were issues but not necessarily Skyhouse's fault - I moved Uptown to be able to walk to things and be close to the action. Obviously, there's pretty much nothing going on anymore Uptown, so I'd say it's just not worth it to live Uptown right now. Also, for the majority of the time I lived there, all/most of the amenities were closed. Not really anyone's fault, just super frustrating to be paying for all the amenities and not being able to use them during the pandemic. Now for all of the horrible experiences that were Skyhouse's fault... Starting from the very beginning - I scheduled a time to tour and when I arrived, the leasing office acted as if they had no idea that we were coming. It took quite a while to get things going and was a very avoidable waste of time since I had scheduled an appointment. I thought that despite all the issues we had with communication during move-in, this wouldn’t be a problem going forward once we were moved in but I was wrong. When we signed our lease and went to move in, we were given no information about the move in process. I finally called and after being ignored several times, I got a hold of someone who told me that we would need a check with first months rent and had to schedule elevator time. By the time the finally told me about the elevator reservation time, there weren’t convenient times left and we had to take off work to move-in. They also failed twice to mention that we needed a cashier’s check instead of just a regular check (once in writing) and left me running around town trying to get one at the last minute. The move-in process was disgusting as the loading dock smelled like trash from the dumpster. This was just the beginning of all the crazy smells we had to deal with. The entire hallway and elevator waiting area smelled SO bad all the time. I thought it would stop over the winter, but even the cold weather couldn’t stop the stench. The elevators would often be broken, and it would sometimes take 10-15 minutes to get upstairs, so the whole time you were waiting, you were standing in a nasty smelling hallway. There were no stairs to go up, so even being on the 3rd floor had no advantage as we still had to wait for the elevators (there were stairs down that had no reentry and exited on the opposite side of the building from the parking garage). Our hallway smelled like trash constantly and then when our neighbors moved in a few months ago, the hallway and our apartment smelled like weed non-stop. Most mornings it would begin at 9:30am and not really stop for the rest of the day. We complained about this numerous times to management and nothing was ever done. It is a non-smoking community, but they made no effort to punish the offending parties other than sending out vague announcements to the whole building with no follow up. One of the most frustrating things that happened was our washer/dryer. The website clearly advertises that the apartment will be equipped with a whirlpool stackable washer and dryer. We got an ADA apartment which we were not told would be happening until we moved in. The lease had no addendum for any of the changes in the ADA apartment. While most of them weren’t a big deal, the washer/dryer was. We were given a two-in-one washer/dryer unit that was not only tiny, but also didn’t work. In fact, in the instruction manual for the unit, it said specifically that it was not meant to be used as a real dryer and if that was the intention, you should just purchase an actual dryer. It took about 13 hours to dry a small load of clothes. 13 hours. We took this issue up with management and were completely ignored and given the run around. It was so unprofessional and rude to us as tenants. We never got the issue resolved after months of requesting the actual washer and dryer that we were promised. I was obviously upset about not being able to dry my clothes, but the worst part was the way the management handled it. We talked to several people (primarily Amanda and Hillary) so many times who just told us they would have to talk to their manager and then when we would follow up, they acted as if they had never heard of the problem in the first place. So be warned - even if you were to move into a normal unit with a good washer and dryer, any problem that came up would be handled by those people in the same way. When I was moving out, I told one of the staff members I was moving and they said (unprompted) "I hope you find something better"... I think the staff knowing how terrible it is really says something. Would not recommend moving here if you don't want a constant headache.

I have had a good experience so far. I love how concierge is very helpful that is my favorite part about living at Skyhouse. Move in was easy and leasing was easy. I wish the sky deck was available at night.

Staff does not take governors orders for mask wearing seriously. I often see staff walking around my building without a face covering on. I would appreciate more signage in pre-elevator spaces encouraging residents to do the same. Also, the grounds are littered in pet waste, almost always. I watched a woman let her dog urinate on the pole outside the front door where residents scan their key fob. There was dog poop in the elevator recently also.

My unit at Skyhouse is the best apartment I've ever rented. The location in Fourth Ward can't be beaten. I can walk, scoot, or take the train to most places in the city. The concierge staff is accessible and helpful. They even go out of their way to fax and print documents for me. Amenities are still great, even during COVID. Management makes it easy to reserve time slots for the Sky Deck and gym on the Mobile Doorman app. It's simple to manage allowed guests and validate their parking. Although I haven't been here long, there have been several fun, pandemic-safe events that offer complimentary grab and go food and cocktails (plus cute holiday decorations). My building/floor is clean, quiet, and great for work-from-home. There is no other place to live in Uptown that is comparable in price for provided amenities. Peyton was awesome during my application process and as a result, I have recommended Skyhouse to several friends who are now considering moving here.

Horrendous safety issues abound, and the building is falling apart. Elevators break with regularity, and they're doing absolutely nothing to actually enforce the covid precautions they've set (which means that they may as well have not set any at all). I will be moving out as soon as my lease is up.

This place has been the WORST apartment complex me and my fiancé have ever stayed at. For starters nothing EVER works since moving in a few months ago we have put in 20 REPAIR ORDERS yes I said 20. WOW They still haven't fixed many of them to this day. Next, Security is non existence because you have constant strangers in & out of the building because they use it as an Airbnb. Make sure you also lock you cars door there have been 5 break in this month. This is the worst area and management does nothing for security purposes. Next, the lobby, dog park & other amities are NEVER cleaned they constantly smell of dog poop and ----. Also you can never use the amnesties they where all closed until the past week or so. Next, if you expect to get packages you order then you are WRONG. They are always lost by the leasing office & you never received them. They have this fancy package system hat never works and give your packages to other people. FAIL Overall this have the WORST place I have ever stayed. Once my lease is up I'm out!! Please save yourself the headache and move somewhere else for the price and the fake "luxury" its really not worth it!!

Its been okay. I understand their key policy but it gets out of hand. People let their dogs pee and poop anywhere. Also the smell of weed in the elevators sometimes is overwhelming. Great for some people not for me. The Amenities and stuff are nice.
