I have lived in this community for the past three years. I have seen two different management companies come in. I definitely appreciate the changes the new company has brought in. I love the community events and decorations they have done around the complex. I wish paying rent was less complicated and I wish I didn't have to beg to get treated for pests when I pay a pest fee every month. Overall, I've had a good (not great, not horrible) experience. Would recommend for the location, price, and community events.

The convenience of living at P&M is fantastic. I do have some resolve on how "clean" they keep it, but other than that it's a pretty great community to live in! Anytime we have an issue within our apt, we put in a maintenance report on the portal and they have the problem fixed with in 24 hours, but usually sooner!

The staff at Park and Market is super friendly and helpful. They do everything they can to make sure each one of their residents has the best living experience with them. They keep the building looking clean and appealing and they fix any problems immediately. I have really enjoyed living here.

Very mediocre. New staff with Greystar seems to me to be apathetic at best. They certainly want your lease and you must be well qualified. Beyond that, good luck. Noise all hours. The pool noise is insane and the setup of the building is like a hotel. The washer makes horrible noises. It is so loud that the cable installer joked that he didn't know I owned a rocket launcher. Not worth the price. False fire alarms constantly - last night 2:14 am from the pool area. One of the main elevators is always down. It's a very chaotic living environment.

The alarms aren't an issue anymore - I talked to the management and they said that they separated the alarm system from the garage, therefore eliminating the number of fake alarms. Also, have you seen that they're finally fixing the corridors? Excited to see what's next.

Provide lighting in your apartment bedrooms. Pretty cheap move and your better than that. I was told I need to pay 150 dollars to have a fan installed that I can not keep once I move out. Why on earth would I pay to upgrade an apartment?

The common areas (e.g. the hallways) are getting dingy. But other areas (e.g. the pool) are very attractive. Also, you should use the death penalty on those that leave shopping carts in the hallways.

I have lived at Park and Market for my 3rd year now and I absolutely love living here! There used to be issues with the fire alarm but those have been resolved and I understand that comes with living above retail. The staff is awesome and the location is perfect. It's reasonably priced too!

I love living at Park and Market. The location is wonderful, amenities are great, and the apartment building is always kept clean. The pool, clubhouse, and gym have never been dirty or unkept when I have frequented.

I would give a perfect score to Park & Market if the walls in the hall were repaired and painted. Until that happens this apartment building is substandard. The staff is great. The grounds are kept nice, the clubhouse, pool, gym are awesome and the location can't be beat, but the hall walls, in many areas are disgusting and disgraceful and the owner refuses to address the problem. That's a shame because he's losing residents, potential and existing. Please do not share only parts of my review. Thank you for asking. PS Regarding the question as to whether I would recommend this apartment, I put no, only because of the hallway walls condition.

The North Hills location is really nice. It's close to the freeway, but I can't hear the freeway from the apartment. I can hear the drunk folks late on Friday and Saturday nights. The apartment feels very safe and it is nice and walkable.

You can't count on a good night of sleep at Park and Market. Management is better at scolding residents about this problem than they are at fixing it. (I doubt you will publish this, even though I donâ t think it is a secret).

It is a nice apartment in a nice complex with decent amenities. The location is very very convenient. Right off 440 and within walking distance from pretty much any type of cuisine and a theater. There is also a good selection of live music in the area too and it doesn't go late. Staff is always friendly and willing to help.

Do not recommend this property. The hallways and amenity areas have become dingy and gross. The pool is often time out of control by glass-toting drunks smoking cigarettes in our "smoke-free" community. Good luck reporting the glass-toters and smokers because the leasing agent hangs out with them! The property has potential but lacks a strong management team as the leasing agents, maintenance, and cleaning staff have all turned over at least twice in my 1.5 year here.

The apartments and amenities are amazing, but the frequency of false fire alarms in the middle of the night are enough to make you never want to live here again. The fire alarm went off today (10/17/16) at 230 am. It is now 330am and has been going off for the last hour with no relief. It has not been 4 days since the last middle of the night fire alarm. My dog and I are outside waiting to return to our apartment. We pay far too much to live in an unsafe environment. Ever heard of the boy who cried wolf? You are conditioning your residents to believe that fire alarms are not for fires and there are many residents who staying in the building. What happens when there is a real fire and everyone stays inside? IT IS NOT SAFE! DO NOT MOVE HERE. I can not wait until our lease is up.

Beautiful apartment building, but I wouldn't resign a lease at half the price unless they fix the fire alarm system. It's really a shame. There are so many nice features here, but nothing could compensate for middle-of-the-night fire alarms a few times per month. They keep saying they've addressed problems that cause it, but it never stops. If there's ever a real one, most residents will burn in their closets with ear plugs in, which is where I'm writing this review from at 3:28 AM, nearly an hour after the alarm started.

First off, it should be a red flag that as soon as you log on here you see a message that this place bribes residents to write good reviews. Last night, the fire alarm went off again. You'll notice this has been a common theme for years. They continue to say they are working on fixing the problem, but they have yet to make ANY progress. Were in February and it has gone off 3 times already in the middle of the night. Since ive been living here its been more times then I can count. its to the point where everyone I know doesn't even leave it scares the living crap out of you, then you leave the room, shut the door, and put in ear plugs and wait.... it should make management feel great that if there was a real emergency or something was wrong NONE of their residents will leave because of the constant false alarms and how much it pisses everyone off. On top of that there have been regular rent increases, and a sewage smell that comes through the drains and over takes the entire department so it smells literally like someone crapped in every square inch of the apartment. Attached is a picture of the ridiculous lies they send to residents trying to excuse the false alarm. the wind, precipitation, and darkness outside happened to pull the fire alarm? really? just apologize to your residents instead of trying to excuse a problem that hasn't been solved here in almost a decade. the only positive on this place is strictly the location, and I can get a better place next door for the same price at the rate they increase my rent.

Main issues I have with this property are the cheap fixtures in the apartments (primarily bath and the tacky and probably poisonous vinyl flooring used in the living areas), thin walls, the frequently broken elevators, the mental institution-like layout and feel of the hallways, and the incessant fire alarms going off at all hours of the night. it annoys me that people are asked to pay these prices (quite high for the local area) to live in a so-called 'luxury' building that is not really.

Really amazed that Park & Market is now paying its residents for positive reviews....all residents received an email stating they would get a gift card if they gave a positive review on this site. The only reason I didn't rate these apartments one star is because of the location. North Hills is a great area, and we love being so close to beach music, the amphitheater, and Harris Teeter. As for the complex itself, we've been seriously disappointed. We constantly hear the neighbors above us banging around, sometimes even waking us up in the middle of the night because the walls are so thin. Having spoken with other residents, I've heard this is a very common problem. We've only lived here for 6 months and already the fire alarm has gone off 3 or 4 times in the middle of the night. When the fire alarm isn't going off, the elevator is broken. It took 3 weeks to get the main elevator fixed, and living on one of the top floors made it extremely annoying to take the dog out. Then our fob system that unlocks the building broke for several weeks. There is nothing more upsetting than being locked out of your own apartment in the middle of the night. On top of that, the pool filter broke in the middle of the summer, and it took them 3 weekends to get it fixed. With the pool being one of the main benefits of the complex, you can imagine how annoying this would be. Then the gate to the parking deck broke and it became hard to find a parking spot because everyone who shopped in North Hills was able to park in the resident parking. Once again, it took several weeks to get it fixed. You can guarantee if you move in here, there will continue to be an endless list of problems that never get fixed in a timely manner.

Wow, if you have to pay your residents to say nice things about your property, then there is a problem!!!! Before I moved here I thought park and market was a great place. The noise is ridiculous! Not only from construction but from things going on inside the building. There is always animal pee and feces in the common ways . When we have events for the residence you always have to pay additional cost for it. The elevators are always broken. I have been here less than three months and hate it. not worth the money. Just watch how many people post a opinion today for the five dollars. Today 10/23 residents got an email stating if we come here and say something nice we will get $5 off a local restaurant. See how many people posted today, ONLY for the money! Sad you have to pay residents to say something nice, even sadder it's only $5 to lie!

I have no idea why people reviewed this community as low as one-star. I have lived here for an year now and I cannot find a place better than this. As an engineer having some building automation background, I understand that the fire alarms going off on an average of once in about 3 months is an issue but not a big one. It is just a matter of what conditions "trigger" an alarm to go off and how sensitive the fire protection system is. This is something that can usually be configured and I would not hold that against the apartment community. As for the place being loud - that's all exaggeration. If you live in an apartment building, it is not a big deal if you hear some sound that's hardly audible. Never have I heard blazing music / TV from neighbors. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Maintenance is timely and have never had any issues as such. Also, I am glad they don't force the crappy valet trash service on you! Why would I pay for a luxury apartment and then see trash bags / cans every evening in the hallway. So, thank you, management, for not having the valet trash service! :) My only complain is that the management should be more understanding of people who want to cancel their lease as a result of having to move to another city / state for work. I have previously lived in a community that would have such a clause in their lease. I understand that you need to protect your business. However, by being more accommodating, you can win the hearts of more customers - and customers will give you more business as a result. :) Hence, the 4 star review instead of 5.
