READ THIS BEFORE YOU CHOOSE LAKESHORE! I am going to recommend this property because of its staff, maintenance, beauty and amenities. (that's everything right?) NO!!! I never felt in danger, but 3 of my friends who lived on site and myself had an issue with our cars being tampered with. Our catalytic converters were sawed off in the middle of the night (probably 3 AM) Don't get hung up on that though. I am sure after they read this review they are going to do something to remedy this problem... because you are going to ask them what they have done to remedy this problem. (Night watch? much improved lighting? cameras? Moving past that though, what is there not to love about this place. Amenities are incredible. Fishing Lake, Gym, INDOOR POOL!!! Awesome! Just go see for yourself and don't forget to ask what they are doing about security! Good Luck prospects!

the community needs some...

the community needs some work on the grounds and there is always an issue with parking. People parking in two lanes, parking handicap, etc. there are always pets that use the bathroom during the walkways and all of the grounds and don't clean up after then. It gets frustrating. Walls are way to thin.

Unless you live on the...

Unless you live on the top floor, you will hear everything above you. New neighbors moved in above and partied 7 nights a week. After numerous complaints to the leasing office about being woken up on a regular basis between the hours of 3am and 6am, the only solution was calling the cops (almost every night). There are plenty of people that have animals that they leave home alone and will cry/bark at anything that moves past the door. Maintenance is questionable as we have had an off and on leak in our bathroom since we have moved in, and even after multiple trips by repairmen, it continues. Sadly, this place has the illusion of being nice, but is actually pretty crappy. The staff is nice, but ineffective. The other residents don't care if its 4:15am on a Thursday, when drunken tackle football on the 4th floor calls, they answer.

Lakeshore was the worse...

Lakeshore was the worse apartment complex I have ever lived in. The rental office is completely unorganized. There was an internal leak that was found in my apartment that took the property management over 3 months to fix. Lakeshore left exposed sewage piping open until I threaten to put my rent in escrow. I recommend no one rent from this property until they fire the entire staff and Hire people who are educated, capable to run large property with dilligence and integerity. Shame on CMC.

the only thing i can...

the only thing i can get for my tv is cable. (no dish) parking at night is always full even in front of my apt. , i have to park three buildings away and walk to my apartment. someone broke my car's window and i didn't find out until the next morning because my alarm wen off but the car was too far from where i live.

I loved this apartment...

I loved this apartment community! I wish I could've stayed a while longer... I loved the indoor pool and workout center in the winter! I love the fishing lake and I love the lake view from my apartment.

When we first moved it...

When we first moved it in it was really nice, maintenance issues were fixed in a timely fashion and it was a nice quiet area, and close to our works. But being close to our work, its also far away from everything else. They don't really have much in terms of social activities going on at the club house that is regularly displayed or announced in terms of social gatherings of the tenants. They have tenant appreciation nights in which you can buy discounted pizzas from a local shop, but its not really a social gathering. As more apartments began to fill up it was harder to find a convenient parking spot, 3 washers and 3 dryers became not enough for 2 buildings to share. It took 6 months to fix a broken window in a storage room and a request to replace some tiles broken tiles in the kitchen went unfulfilled, other tenants were allowed to fix their cars in the parking lot in direct violation of the lease but were never asked to leave. There were other tenants shouting for dogs at all hours of the night regardless of leash laws. Promises made when we moved in regarding getting paint from the main office to repaint walls when we moved out was not honored. Upon request of the paint color number so we could correctly match the paint, instead of calling the on-site painter and getting the color number for us, the complex manager gave a vague description of his vehicle and told us to drive around and find him and ask him ourselves. Upon leaving we were not given the proper instruction on exit procedures - such as needing to remit payment of the remainder of our lease to corporate - so we started receiving collection notices. No communication between the management and the corporate offices as the collection papers were sent to our old apartment address not the forwarding address we left twice with the complex office.

It's not bad. Noisy at...

It's not bad. Noisy at times. I think overall, it's the rentors that make this place worse than it really is. A more strict rentor policy may be a solution to that. Main drive needs repaved badly. Besides that, the view is nice, neighborhood watch has been doing a good job keeping people's belongings safe. Staff is very responsive to your needs. The apartments are big.

I have 3 months left on my lease and then will be moving into a house. I have enjoyed my stay at Lake Shore and must say things have improved since I moved in. We have security patrol and have new security cameras at the front entrance. Landscaping is nice and a newsletter has finally been issued monthly. A down side is plumbing isn't great and the lack of hot water available. Also CHEAP blinds that will definitely break. Other than that I believe the community is improving and is extremely quiet for how many people that live here.

I currently have two weeks left at this horrible place! If you like warm showers and good pluming this is NOT the place for you. For the past year I have had to shower in the middle of the night so it will be somewhat warm. I have complained numerous times nothing has been done. Also my upstairs neighbor lets their dog poop and pee on their patio which means it rains down on me! My patio furniture is ruined and not once has lakeshore agreed to reimburse me for the damage. Actually they've done nothing about it. I had to call the health department to come out and now it's somewhat better the dog still goes but not as often. When the health department came out they laughed because this was not the first time they've been called about the exact problem. So they have no management skills when a problem arises. My hallway is the neighborhood kids smoking spot. The hallway is littered with cigarettes and the stench of smoke. My toliet clogs about once a month, the plumbers know me by name, their maintenance man shared his frustration with me about the plumbing. Apparently leaves come out of the toliet when plunged which means there is a huge crack in the piping. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

If you move to these apartments you are definitely not getting what you pay for.The parking looks great when you visit during the day when everybody is at work,good luck at night when you get home.The office staff is unhelpful and make you feel like you're bothering them when you have a question or complaint. I had a note placed under my door to remove a welcome mat from the hallway because it was a "fire hazard" even though people are too lazy to take their garbage to the dumpsters and constantly leave trash bags stinking up the hallways. The walls are so thin that you can hear entire conversations and television shows from other apartments.People let their kids play in the hallways so there s constantly food and other trash left in the hallways.You don t notice until you move in but the only dumpsters on the site are in the front of the property near the office,so people try to balance their trash on the roofs of their cars and when it falls off they just leave it where it is.I can honestly say I have only been to the gym a few times because when ever I went there were more broken machines then running, hopefully this problem is fixed now. on a positive note,I have never felt unsafe or in danger.The utilities are low,most of my neighbors are friendly,and if you have a packaged delivered during the day you can pick it up at the office instead of trying to reschedule.

I can say that Lakeshore is a good place to live, I am renting a 2 bedroom apartment and it is pretty comfortable with a big Master bedroom, a large living room with a large closet, a nice long balcony, the place looks pretty safe to me , I have never felt threatened by any means, overall is quiet, we have a nice lake on site with ducks, swan and fish. Leasing people are nice, maintenance come whenever you put a request. There is a Health club, with a gym, indoor swimming pool, free wifi. I recommend this place.

This place is absolutely disgusting! People don't take care of the place, all of the grounds are filled with trash. The other night someone filled 2 parking spaces with trash from their apartment, left it in the parking lot for DAYS until the workers moved it down to the dumpsters. NO PARKING EVER! People take up 2 parking spaces all the time, so there is never any parking close to your apartment, be prepared for a long walk to your apartment. Cops are always here arresting people...but never seem to be here when they need to be! I DO NOT feel safe in this apartment, we've been here for a year (can't wait to leave) but we've witnessed at least 6 arrests, a handful of drug deals, and a guy steal someones car! Its 11:45 on a sunday morning, and i just watched another guy get arrested. ...these are the things you deal with at this terrible place. GROSS!

I moved here about 3 months ago and so far it's been just fine. I live in a quiet building and never hear any neighbors or traffic in the hallways. The apartments are older but are kept in decent shape for their age. I've never had any problems with the staff in the leasing office. They have always been helpful and friendly. ANY apartment community you live in will always have issues here and there. This one doesn't have any extraordinary issues. Any neighbors I've encountered have been very nice and I feel pretty safe here. I have a view of the lake and it's great to go out to my super large balcony and watch the geese, ducks, swans, turtles and even deer. If you're looking for a good-sized apartment, in a decent area that's affordable, you should check this place out.

I have moved here at Lakeshore Apartments from Lexington KY and I can say that I like it here. It is close to I-75 and the staff is nice and helpful with any concern or question that I have. I put a maintenance request and they came quickly and fix it. The apartment complex have a Clubhouse, a Nice Fitness Center, places to Grill, an Indoor Pool and an Outdoor Pool,two Tennis Courts and a private lake. My apartment is on the Wood view side and I have a great balcony that is wooded and very private, quiet with a wonderful view. I recommend this apartment complex. Sincerely, Eliot

I have lived here at Lakeshore for 2 years and have to say I really like it here. I am surprised because I have never lived in a complex and did not think I would like it. I love the convience to the highway and the staff have been fabulous, especially Angel. She has always been there to listen to a concern you may have and she did an awesome job at the pool this summer, can't wait till next year! My apartment is on Lakeview and I have a great deck that is wooded so very private and quiet. I have a beautiful view of the sunset. Sincerly, Tamara Vaske

I have lived at Lakeshore for almost a year now. I do like living here, and the price was the best in the area. I have an office with CMC properties also and they have treated me well. After I moved in they painted the interior halls of my building and paved the parking lots, so everything looks really nice. My apartment is facing the woods up on the top of the hill so it is really nice and peaceful.

Don't do it! This place is old and broken down. When the maintenance men refer to it as "leakshore apartments and broke down mountain" you know there is a serious problem. With Paper thin walls, zoo quality roaches lying dead in the halls, mold, unresponsive maintenance, and rude uneducated staff this should truly be a section 8 project. The on-site management is terrible and the main office area manager is no better.

This was the worst experience ever, was told the apartment i rented had bed bugs 3 days after i moved it, the apartment fell apart, nothing was ever fixed, staff is worthless and rude, other tenents are rude and inconsider. Dirty place to live. Did not always feel safe in my own apartment. Noisy 24-7. Do not make the mistake of moving in here.
