Renter beware... This apartment is noisy, poorly maintained, and the staff is rude. The noise is a problem, I can hear entire conversations that some of my neighbors have, one runs her vacuum cleaner at 3:00AM, the other plays music so loud that it wakes up my daughter. Maintenance issues are a real pain, it takes multiple trips over multiple days to fix anything and the maintenance staff is extremely rude and insulting. The office staff has such turn over that there are always new faces. The office staff is also rude and never returns phone calls. The only time they are nice to you is when they want you to rent or renew your lease. I'm counting the days until we can leave.

This is not a quite community. Too many kids, and too many young adults, that feel this place is more of a place to party. If you are a senior adult, you may re-think about moving here, Many young folks have no respect for others. This complex is not hadicap friendly feeling safe at this apartment complex (Lakeshore Apartments) is another issue. This place has no security. no gated community. no lock doors for entry on buildings. outsiders come and go onto the property even if they dont live here. No light source. very dark in many areas around complex. cant say much about the people that work at the complex here, but there has been many that has come and gone. some people say they dont care for the way things are handle from the leasing office etc. The people that take care of the complex like manintence seems to be very well liked. if you dont like nosy neighbors, dont like to see people hanging out all hours in the parking lot, and young adults that is only here for a party, than this place is not for you. That is the way it is here at this complex, very sad, owners wont do a thing. This complex joins with other not so nice neighborhoods that is very problematic.

A Nice Place To Live
I lived at Lakeshore for 1 year, from Feb. 2011 to Feb 2012, until my wife and I bought our first house. It was my first apartment I rented by myself and was going to be the first place my wife and I would call home after getting married in May 2011! Naturally, I wanted to make sure I got affordable rent but not compromising in cleanliness, maintenance, and overall experience at the complex. Lakeshore did not disappoint! The office staff are all fabulous people. Seriously, the most kind, caring people you will ever have in an apartment office. Apartments are spacious, especially the 1 bedroom I rented. I was shocked at the space I had! When I first moved in, there were minor issues with some things. All were taken care of within the first week of me being there. Anytime I had maintenance issues, a report was put in and they were out within a day or 2.Emergency maintenance was always available too, even when the office was closed. They were constantly updating units while I was there too. Fixing balconies, maintaining the landscaping, even replacing carpet through the hallways in the complex I was in. They really made the place look nice! The only things I would complain about are the geese that congregate at the lake ALL year round and the overall safety. If you don't like geese, you may not want to live here, or at least not on the lake. :P As far as safety, my wife did have her catalytic converter stolen from her car. Obviously this is not the complexes issue, its stupid people who need to control their stupidity, but Lakeshore started a community watch program to help alleviate issues like this from occurring. It was nice to know they cared enough about the safety to start something. From what I know, the community watch program has gotten even stronger since I have been gone. Overall, Lakeshore is a great place to live. For the type of apartment I had and the price I paid, I was very satisfied with my time at Lakeshore. I have recommended several people to live there, and would continue to do so!

The ladies in the office at Lakeshore are the most wonderful helpful unique ladies that an apartment complex could have. my family and I have lived in a home for 20 years or longer. We thought that apartment living was not for us. We have been living at Lakeshore for about 5 months now and Angel has really helped to make this a home for us. Both of the ladies in the office have been the best that they can be. To the ladies in the office at Lakeshore i just want to say thank you and that my family and I appreciate everthing you have done for us to make apartment living a joy. Once again Thank you.

Apartment Review
Lakeshore Apartments has been by home for many, many years. We recently hired a new manager and she is absolutely wonderful. She has improved the property beyond any previous manager and I am extremely pleased. Her staff is also incredibly kind. Chris, one of the maintenance men, has always helped my handicap mother out to the car in order to get to the doctor's. I sincerely love my apartment and would recommend Lakeshore to anyone.

Lakeshore Apartments
I have been living at Lakeshore since July of 2011 and from the minute I walked into the manager's office, I felt like I was at home. The employees, in both the leasing/manager office and the maintenance crew, have been able to help me with any problems. Both Angel and Danelle have proven outstanding at their jobs and have constantly made sure that I am happy in my new home. Beyond this, the apartments are comfortable and well designed. I also love the beautiful lake on the property. It adds a touch of elegance to the area and makes me feel like I am a very fine, well established community.

Truly Undecided
I'm really undecided on Lakeshore. I'm a current tenant and I'm on my way out. I love the staff and the maintenance crew but it seems that the people that they are letting in are getting to be out of control. They have a great facility with a lot of potential and some great pluses but as of late I've been so concerned about leaving my apartment for any reason but to get in my car, that I haven't enjoyed any of the amenities. Forty bottles and trash scattered everywhere, children playing in the parking lots, stray cats and even dogs running around the complex, give the outside of the place, the feel of a madhouse. But the apartments are absolutely wonderful, the staff again is polite, fast and ready to assist.

The maintenance guys did a great job...
I've been living here for about a year now. One night we were doing the dishes and our cabinets fell off the wall and made a mess and we had lost some glassware and plates due to the accident. We called maintenance right away. It was 9pm at night and the maintenance manager came up to our apartment and helped us clean up the mess. I was very impressed about how thorough and prompt he was. Anytime we have ever had an issue with anything the maintenance guys have been very good about getting it fixed right away. Lakeshore also went to the extent of replacing the dishes that we had lost even though it was freak accident and no one was really at fault. For the service, convenience, and space the price is very reasonable.

love it here! i will be renewing my lease!
I have been living here for a while. I love it here. I love fitness center and thunder pool. Dannel and Angel are great They are always there with a smile on their ready to help with anything you need. They have started a neighborhood watch program That has really started helping the tenants feel safer that should be commended on the great job they are doing.

Some things are better left in the 70's...
Ok, I've lived here since early 2008. My first week at this property, someone in my building was stabbed and murdered and caused a whole police incident... Great first impression, to this day, 3 years later, they're are still police here nightly at the top of the hill. In Sept of 08, a windstorm blew the roof off of my apartment leaving me homeless for over a month. I stayed with a friend while the CMC management repaired my unit, assuring me that has soon as a new apartment became available I could move my things in and when my old unit was fixed, remodeled and brand new, I would have the option to move back in to that one. I was never given that option, and in late Oct of 08 I was asked to sign a NEW 14 month lease to move into a smaller apartment on the other side of the lake for the same amount of money I was paying at my old unit. Since being in this new unit, I have seen numerous cockroaches in the halls, my dishwasher quit working and maintenance told me I just didn't know how to use it right (It still hasn't been fixed) and my building constantly smells of marijuana. The front office, on multiple occasions, have misplaced my rent checks causing eviction notices to 'mistakenly' show up on my door, thankfully they've corrected these situations, charged me for mishandling of my garbage, when I hadn't even taken garbage down that day, and never seem to want to correct the problems inside my unit (leaking shower head, chipping paint, balcony rail is rotted and falling off). When Mary-Ann was the manager here, it still sucked, but she TRIED to take care of everyone, when she left and this new team came aboard (Sherri is by far the worst) this complex went down hill... I have just put my notice in that I will vacating by March 1st and was told that I needed to be out by the 28th, but would STILL be required to pay march rent. That was the icing on the cake. I will never recommend this property nor will I ever live at a CMC property again. Very disappointed!

I moved into lakeshore bed bug free im now infested. When i moved in i specifically asked managment if there was a bed bug problem and was told only one unit in the entire complex has "had" them. I have done further research since, i found out by speaking to current and past residents and a local pest control company who is located less than half a mile away and all of whom i spoke stated that bed bugs has been an ongoing problem. When i moved into my apartment it was astonishing at how dirty it was at the time of my move in i had to re clean the entire apt. So to finish dont trust the complex managment for they will lie straight to your face about their bed bug issue just to get you to move in then offer four free exterminations but not exterminating any units around yours, therfore defeating the purpose of the extermination. And i wont even attempt to ask for re enbursment for the hefty laundry bills and the chemicals bought from the local pest control company. Dont move in here unless you like pest and very loud car stereos and very loud rude people who play there bass rap music with no regard for their nieghbors.

ok
I think the apartmensts are ok. the only thing worth paying for are the amenities like the 2 pools and the gym and lake. On the other hand the apartment itself is now worth paying for. No bug problem it's just this place is old and needs a few updates. The kitchen has no counter space the bathroom has no counter space. Not enough outlets in the kitchen only 1. No storage. so its a maybe for me personally I can't wait to move.

DO NOT LIVE HERE
WOW. First I lived in the apartments... Bugs, leaks, everything broken... finally the apartment floods.... they trick us into moving into a house the own instead of getting out of the lease.... the house leaks as bad as the apartment, they lied about the fireplace being safe to burn, the neighbors are harrassing us, they wont ever return our calls on our concerns! ugh! we are done! in the last 3 years of renting from them i have realized it was a mistake. They have put us through soooooo much BS its not worth it! GOODBYE LAKESHORE!!!! The picture is the flooding in my apartment, because they are too lazy/cheap to fix a drainage pipe in front of the apartments to keep them from flooding! it spread to almost my whole livingroom, the laundry room had inches of water, as did the hallways.

Living at Lakeshore
I have known about Lakeshore apartments that at one time you could get to Lakeshore Apartments from Reading Road. My first husband and I were supposed to move in the year of 72. He was being stationed in Lousiana so we ended up not moving in. I was always impressed especially with the gated community and the conditions of the complex. Well I have been here since 2003 hopefully when I move it will be out of the state. Management has always been great to me.

Dont talk about it.....Be about it .....Take pride in where you live
Lakeshore is a beautiful place to live. You have the lake which is very nice. Its beautiful to look at in the summer and winter and just that serene feeling that over comes you just looking at it.And life isnt measured by the breaths you take,Its the moments that take your breath away. The apartments are very nice 1br,2br,& 2br with den.I'm very proud to be here at Lakeshore,Danell Lavender,Cheri Johnson along with other Staff members and maintenance workers, work very diligently to do all they can to make tenants happy.I know they will leave the office to come and give aid to what ever problems you may have.Lakeshore is trying so hard to make this place all that it can possible be.I really believe if every one took a little pride in were they lived this would be and contine to be a beauitful place as it truly is. With the inside pool all year round and the weight room as well.A very happy tenant Emcd.....

Infested with Bedbugs and Shady Neigbors !
I wish I could give this place a good review. Unfortunately, I cannot. I moved here primarily so that I could be closer to work. I haven't had a very pleasant experience. First, there are bedbugs in the apartment. I certainly did not bring them with me as my previous residence was free of bedbugs. I haven't had a good night's sleep since I moved in here. Second, the layout of the apartment isn't the greatest. You have the bathroom placed next to the kitchen which is pretty gross. I would think the people who built this place would know that bathrooms should not be located near areas of food preparation or where people eat. Third, my neigbors seems to be pretty shady. I "lost" a package that was delivered to me by FEDEX. It was placed right outside my door but when I got home from work, it was gone. Fourth, some of the ladies who work in the office are downright rude. I pay the rent monthly on time. I would think a little courtesy would be given. I am definitely not going to renew my lease for this place. I will take my money somewhere else.

Relocation Blessing!
I love it here @ Lakeshore Apts. My husband and I were just relocated due to his job. We haven't been here long, but so far so good! The staff in the office were great with our move in. The whole complex is lookin' so good. We love the amenities (health club, bark park, pool)! We have no problems with neighbors and there's very little noise (occasionally we will hear sirens, but welcome to the city)! This was a good choice for my husband and I (we viewed over 20 aptartments in the Cincinnati area and this was the best choice for us: great area, still close to everything; great amenities; curtious staff (I'm picky about that); and nice apt with new appliances'! So far, I don't have a complaint, I'd say that's pretty good!

Manager at Lakeshore
I am very proud to live at Lakeshore. You review writers, that call the manager incompetent, are probably the ones, always late with the rent, always loud and disturbing, always being a nuisance, just always unhappy. Marianne King, is the kindest, gentlest, most fair, open and honest Manager. Her name, brings goodness to the title Manager. She is very experienced, patient, and most of all loving. People have to be firm, I mean she is running a place of business. I'm sure the people who wrote the reviews, have either tried to get over, and she stopped you dead in your tracks. She is one woman, with a great staff, who tries to take care of the problem as soon as they can. This complex has over 300 something apartments, thats alot of demands, and I think they handle it well. Chris,Don, and Todd, and Gary(i think thats his name) have been wonderful from the begining. Instead of dogging the manager, help keep your Lakeshore community clean. Pick up the dog poop, pick up your trash, WATCH your speed, when coming through the lot. Help each other out, there has been a few break-ins, but not because the Reading Police aren't patrolling. There presence is felt, which is a good thing. This is over-all a safe community, with good staff. I am disappointed to see people dogging out Marianne so personally. You obviously don't know her, and you are probably the one giving her such stress, so just STOP it!! All of you. What you are doing is lying. I'm sure whatever the issue was, she and her staff gave it their prompt attention. I guess you are welcomed to your opinion. Old saying goes, "You can't please everyone, no matter how hard you try!!! But to lie and say she is incompetent, says the opposite, you are the one incompetent, for not using better choice of a word, cause she may be alot of things, but incompetent isn't one of them. Thanks Marianne for all you do....I love Lakeshore, and the Staff...If you want to move here, come judge for yourself, don't let lies keep you from decent living at an affordable price.......

Manager is very good
I don't ordinarily write reviews like this but I was suprised to read so many complaints about management because I think they're very good here. The manager is the sweetest lady you'd ever meet and she is in the office from dawn til dusk trying to please all the tennents. One morning in the winter it was about 10 degrees out and she got together with her co-workers and they all served us coffee and donuts as we left for work. They stood out in the freezing cold of their own accord trying to do something sweet like that. I also like the lake here; it's great for fishing. There is a gym so you don't need to join a health club and both indoor and outdoor pools. I have moved to 4 different states in the past 6 years because my job commands it. However, when I look for an apartment I don't usually trust all the reviews on a site like this. Of course, there will always be a rare infestation problem. Every aparrtment complex with have an occasional infestation. And those are end up being who write the reviews! When people are happy, they don't bother with writing them. So my advice is to take these reviews with a grain of salt. Try calling this apartment and visiting if you can. See how sweet they are here!

Lakeshore apartments has to be the worst place to live in cincinnati. My experiences were: No heat in January, horrible office management, very mean and incondsiderate manager, things breaking off the walls, and goose poop everywhere you walk. I hope it goes under!

Been here for many years. seen many employees at this complex come and go. CMC management seems to always make changes, but takes so long to get things done. CONCERN greatly about the type of people that is moving into this complex. lets be honest here, some only care about them selves and have NO REGARD for the community or No Respect for Neighbors or No respect for keeping things nice around the community. Don't know if that is ignorance, but for many I don't think they have to pay and earn their keep. The security is still a challenge here, Its great to have lock doors on the buildings, but being next to troubling neighborhoods, Security should be on property at all times. Have known others that have lived here a long time and its reassurance to have them to talk with when need be. SOME parents let their children run around and therefor these children do what they will, by destroying property on the grounds, and being disrespectful, They also run up to the health club and hang out with no parent supervision. Final thought, Lakeshore is a nice place to live, Management needs to monitor those that disrupt others more closely and not put up with the behavior that those indirectly or directly have on our community.

Questionable
I am about to move out of lakeshore Apts. I moved here a year ago and it was definitely a step down from how I have lived all my life. My experience here has been awful but I'm not bashing anyone. The management is fine, very accomodating. Repair times are reasonable. HOWEVER, structurally, this apt complex is terrible. At first, I lived on a bottom floor apt. Everday I came home there were centipedes and potato bugs there to greet me. Even though they sprayed faithfully every Thursday, the problem never went away. Alot of these buildings have plumbing problems (due to age). I had a huge leak in the first apartment that never got fixed entirely and we discovered mold and mildew inside and outside the walls and baseboards. I demanded to move because of the health hazard but now some fortunate victim of the windstorm damage lives there. In the current apt building, I have had another plumbing problem and terrible ant problems. Now, I know that ants are better than centipedes any day BUT you shouldn't have to put ALL of your groceries in the fridge (cereal and all!). Socially, I have had no problems until I moved into the second apt. Now domestic violence is almost an everyday occurence. The police patrol thru on a regular basis and it is never a surprise to see multiple patrol cars in front of any of the buildings. I don't see how people raise kids here. I wouldn't complain so much about the noise because of the age of the property. However, maintenance of cars in the lot is a problem. There are broken down cars that are either missing mufflers (and keep you awake all hours of the night) or are not running at all. Though reasonably priced, the management should demand a higher standard of living from all tenants. This placed should be screened better to avoid some of the problems they've had. True, money is green but that doesn't mean everyone has the same standards here and some of these people are just slumming it. Bottom line, if you consider yourself middle class or above, this place will not meet your standards of living.

Needs to be updated
I have lived here one year and things in the building are hard to get fixed. The hallways and entry way are always dirty. The emergency lighting in the hallways also don't work! We had a wind storm and the electric was off and you could not see anything in the hallways because of the darkness. In the summer the pool was always dirty and full of leaves. There is also a problem with some people that have dogs that do not clean up after them and there is dog dropings everywere. There are rules that people with dogs have to pick up after them. I have asked several people why they don't clean up after their dogs and they all say the same thing, I don't have to!!!! I was never told I had to.................. Nice huh.... Good place to live if you don't care.....

golden rule
I have lived in this community for over 10 years now. I have had my issues with the maintenance Staff and issues with the office staff. There has been alot of stuff going on over the past month the winds coming thru, I have seen the stress that has been put on the staff here, but they have handle the situation at hand to the BEST of THEIR ability. Over all, the past year has been one of the best years at Lakeshore. They have a very responsible and friendly maintenace staff that will go the extra mile for you if need be. The Office personell are very pleasurable to talk to and will go the extra mile also. For all you tenants that want to complain about stuff, walk in the shoes of the people That keep this community running. Who can you call in the middle of the night for an emergency and have someone there within the hour? If you treat people with respect they will respect you in the same way. Remember the GOLDEN RULE>>>"TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD ALSO LIKE TO BE TREATED" Respect and tollerance goes a long way now a days. And remember "YOU" are not the only one this community revolves around. Deal with the small stuff and fret about the big stuff. Way to go LAKESHORE STAFF
