My roommates and I have lived here for awhile now. We love it here except for ------- in the office. She is rude, and very slow to contact us about important information. It takes a very long time to get anything fixed or acknowledged. Every time we call she is unpleasant to talk to and always very rude and short with us. I don't know if it is because we are young, or that's just how she is. But it's making our experience here go from wonderful to unpleasant. We keep getting notices for hidden fees that are not explained, and even had an unexplained rent check come back to us with a $125 fee. She waited two weeks to tell us of this matter and acted as if her hands were tied and it was our irresponsible nature that led to it happening. We are all working adults and are very responsible. Overall, love it here. Just really hate -------.

Do not move here unless you like waiting weeks to get any small problem resolved IF they even do it!!! They conveniently forget maintenance needs until you ask 3 times!!! Cannot wait to move out!!! Oh did I mention that crime is a problem as well!!!

I have been living at Fox Lake for the last 6 months and it has been by far the best community I have ever been a part of! The office staff is very friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you! The maintenance staff is very helpful as well and get requests taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. I can honestly say Fox Lake is a HUGE upgrade from where I used to live. I'm very happy here and would definitely recommend this community to anyone!

Fox Lake is the best! I previously lived in 2 different apartment complexes in Knoxville and hands down, Fox Lake is the nicest and has provided the best living situation. The grounds are super well-maintained and my actual apartment is a great value for the amount of space. I love the patio outside too! My neighbors are super great and noise hasn't been an issue. The walls and floors are well insulated so I don't have to worry about being annoyed by someone else's music, T, etc. I appreciated the thorough application process I went through to be a resident since it shows Fox Lake management's commitment to have a safe, well-maintained community with great residents! I love it here and am super glad to call it my home!

I have lived at Fox Lake for 1 year now and have had a great experience. The grounds are beautiful, and well kept. I feel very safe there, coming in at different hours of the day. The location is excellent - restaurants, movie theaters, and grocery stores easily accessible within minutes. The staff is excellent to work with and very professional. Overall, an excellent experience at Fox Lake. I would recommend it to everyone.

I just moved from Fox Lake Condos and I couldnt be happier with my experience there. The staff were very professional and helped find a solution to any need of mine. Dorothy specifically made my transition very smooth and stress free. I would highly recommend these nice condos that ran by a great staff.

DO NOT RENT HERE I promise you can find a better place just as close to the area. When my husband and I originally moved here we thought the property was average, good price for the amount of square footage, and were promised lots of low bills and amenities that turned out to not exist on the property like sign that says vball court and grills just showed up on the property. Within the first year of living at Fox Lake our car was broken into, another multiple of vehicles had their windows smashed in, and a few others actually had their gas siphoned, and at least one of our neighbors had their entire vehicle stolen from the property. Then, shortly after the water company sent us a 150 dollar bill with a notice that something was wrong with the property and to notify management. We notified management the same day we received the bill and the issue was not resolved until over a year later(with a diff tenant) when our rent was increased and were somewhat forced to move into an upgraded apt bc we were owed money from the issue. We were told numerous times there was nothing wrong with the property, then they were waiting for another assessment, they would bring someone to check the water line and maintenance could not even tell those workers if they had the right meter or if they sent gas through the line to inspect for leaks whether it would come through to our apt bc again they were not sure of which meter really belonged to the apt etc it was all BS. Needless to say we had astronomical water bills that management took forever to help reimburse us with and did not even reimburse us the full amt owed based on the averages they put out in their brochures/online ads etc. They then rented out the apt to another couple without having fixed the issue, this couple complained, they finally decided to fix the issue themselves and ended up hitting a gas line which affected all us tenants of the building obviously. Numerous complaints throughout our entire time here about tenants of different property on other side of the fence that separates the 2 properties allowing their kids to climb over/under fence and using the property, openly selling drugs on backside of lake, openly smoking pot back there, allowing paintball guns to be shot wherever on the property, penises continually spray painted on property as well as other vandalism, allow them to throw their garbage over the fence, allowing tenants again on other side of fenced property to throw rocks over at vehicles causing damage, claiming they sent police but police never showed up: we waited. Had kids throw a massive rock at our porch window, had unsupervised kids take their bike handles between parked vehicles which permanently scraped driver and passenger side doors of vehicles. Furthermore, would not let our neighbor out of her lease when a serious inspection of her apt produced positives for mold and mildew. Do not let the lake fool you, the other reviews are correct it smells horrible, it just collects trash, it floods the pathways on a regular basis so it cannot even be used part of the time if it has rained at all. If you need something fixed they make you feel like an inconvenience, even if your ceiling is flooding washer loads of water from the apt above you, or in our case we filled out a pre-move in inspection with issues and nobody ever showed up to this day. Would not put in a handicapped parking spot for our neighbor who was almost paralyzed in an accident, told them they could use the one already there which was not anywhere by their apt it was on the opposite side of the building. The doors are not all the correct sizes and fall off, in fact had one fall directly onto my back as i turned away from my closet door. the non refundable 200$ cleaning fee is a joke bc they don't fix anything or exert a max of 50 dollar effort before turning over to next tenant. Be prepared for your rent to go up every time. Several residents asked for pest control for mosquito issues, property employees upon response said they walked over to building stood there a couple minutes and did not get bit or see any mosquitoes and it was therefore deemed unnecessary (this is not a joke this is literally what their response was to several us). Took 6 months to replace outside light on side of building to see sidewalk to get to front door. The safety, staff, maintenance, and grounds of this property are below poor honestly. We could not even move out when we needed to bc we knew we would not be reimbursed from water bill issues if we left the property otherwise we would have been gone a year earlier. Overall, be prepared for increased rates, random checks/pest req/fire dept req inspections of your apt without notice they'll show up and come in even if your in your shower, poorly lit property and grounds, safety issues, personal property damage like your vehicle, horrible treatment from the staff who work there, and issues with neighbors between complaints, not getting along and issues that never get resolved by the staff. As soon as we can move out we are, and our building within the past 2 months has had a min. of 7 residents move out to nearby condos or apts and 4 others including ourselves are in the process of getting away from this place. Some of those moving are literally those who have lived here 5+ years and planned to live their retirement out here but the property has just gone so downhill they couldn't bear it any longer. We were just an avg couple 1-3 years out of college trying to save and have a decent, safe apt to live in and ended up in the opposite condition with this place.

When I first moved in almost 6 years ago I loved it here. It has continually gone down hill. The nature trail is a dumping ground for trash where apparent drug deals take place. There is suspicious activity all hours of the night. If you have a maintenance issue you are treated like a bother. The newer staff members especially ------- are very rude. The quality of the inside as well as outside are not what you would expect. Moving out.

Moved here for job transfers didn't have much time to look for an apartment, so we decided on this dump. The first couple weeks were quiet then all he'll has broke out noisy guys upstairs jumping and making noise all hours of day and night when you call and complain they say they will take care of it but never do. Also gym is no good very small an old equipment. When you walk in apartment you can feel it shake. Never good parking in lot especially if you get home later in night. Closet doors fell off shortly after we moved in, electrical problem with outlets going out and coming back on randomly, high electric gas bill here not low like they say in office, drug deals in parking lot, sketchy people walking around in woods where trail is random people from off street using pool and tennis courts and dumping there garbage in dumpsters just don't rent here we're leaving as soon as our lease is up to a townhouse where no one will be above us. Also there so called lake is basically a drainage swamp gets very nasty and dirty looking.

I lived here previously and am moving back. We absolutely loved living here. I think every apartment complex in just about any area will some sort of issue over the course of a year or more. Admittedly, I did have an insect problem for a day or two, but I told the staff and they had the issue fixed within 6 hours and it never happened again! The noise was minimal. I never heard my neighbors and I am super excited to move back. I do recommend Fox Lake and look forward to moving back!

I moved in this Spring and am incredibly pleased with the experience thus far. While I don't normally take the time to post apartment reviews, I felt it necessary to post something positive, given that oftentimes apartment seekers are presented with a disproportionate amount of vitriol that doesn't always offer a balanced portrayal of the complex in question. It is essential that such criticism is heard, of course, but it is unfortunate that disaffected residents are nearly always the most motivated to comment...resulting in a forum that is generally saturated with negativity, giving apartment seekers undue pause about a complex that the vast majority of residents approve of. In terms of personnel, the move-in process and interactions with office staff have been been excellent. The staff is attentive and accommodating. The only hiccup with the unit upon the initial move-in (it involved a minor issue requiring a paint touch-up)was addressed in a timely fashion with the utmost competency by the office staff and maintenance crew. While no apartment experience will ever be flawless, it's comforting to know that the staff has a sincere interest in accommodating their residents and resolving issues as they arise. In addition, the apartment is located in a quaint, relatively quiet residential area of West Knoxville. While the locale may not offer the convenience of downtown living from a transportation standpoint, there is still a significant number of amenities within relatively close proximity. Moreover, the complex is only minutes from Kingston Pike, I-40, and a host of dining and shopping options. In short, I would definitely recommend this complex. It's clean, quiet, safe, and incredibly affordable for the square footage and location.

Fox Lake is a great place to live. I lived there for 2 years and enjoyed it very much. The property is very great and offers some great walking paths, especially for pet owners. The office staff was always very nice and willing to help in any way they could. The surrounding area is also one of the best in Knoxville with easy access to shopping and dining.

I loved my apartment when I first moved in several years ago. Over time I began to notice a problem with kids going back and forth in the woods from the other apartments. The fence that separates the two has a large space that people walk through to place their garbage in the dumpsters. Not thinking anything of it, because it was 1 or 2 people and kids just playing, I quickly realized that at night people would walk over and meet with random cars in our parking lot. As a woman I felt extremely uncomfortable coming home late from work. The other buildings on site may not have these problems, but ours did. There were good and bad things, but in the end I chose to move. No matter how much I liked my apartment, I did not feel safe at all.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Fox Lake is awesome. Our condo is a great size for the price. We are right in front of their lake/pond which is very serene. The neighborhood is quiet. Parking is not bad. And the staff (Ms. Dorothy) are the sweetest and most understanding people! She has helped us with anything and everything! The condos are close to the interstate and shopping. Get one while you can! We hated to leave and would definitely recommend!

Fox Lake Condominiums I loved living at Fox Lake, I have been here One year .The staff was terrific and very friendly. They always went far and beyond if I had any problems, to make my stay here more pleasant. The property is always well groomed and maintained, and I especially liked the path along the lake for taking my dog on daily walks. What I like most about living here is that it s close to lots of shopping malls and restaurant s I like, and that you offer storage units on-site was very convenient for me. The bedrooms are very spacious and I love the roommate style floor plans. A big plus for me is that I don t have the extra stress of cleaning the apartment on moving day. The fact that they have professional cleaners come in, I would say is their best feature. I want to thank all the staff for all your hard work, and say it s been a pleasure being part of this community. Janice Dickinson

My wife and I really loved living at Fox Lake. We found the apartments to be spacious. The grounds were pretty and well maintained. The staff is really fantastic and always did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant one. Maintenance calls were always handled in a timely manner, and we were always warned ahead of time for scheduled maintenance calls such as spraying for insects or checks on fire alarms. We moved because we purchased a new condo, but we really enjoyed Fox Lake and would recommend it to anyone. - James

Do not rent an apartment at this place. Please listen to me!!!!!! The apartments are out dated and in need of majority updating. I have been sick every since I've moved in the apartment and I have had a water leak that the leasing office was notified about and has known about for a year and it just got fixed a month ago. If you do decide to move in make sure you are staying in the new apartments that were rebuilt when there was a fire. The leasing office ladies are nice until you move in. When I moved in and completed my move in inspection list I informed them that the first bedroom did not have a door, the bathroom did not have a door knob, and the second bedroom closet door was broken. It took them 3 months to fix the doors and the closet door has still not been repaired!

I lived in this apartment more than a year, moving out because of job change. As far as living is concerned I would very much recommend this place. Starting with safety, I have never seen any safety issue in last one year. Most important thing is Kids are playing with their parents in play area all the time so definitely it is a secure place. As far as rent is concerned, it s better than so many apartments in this area. You can easily get a very good apartment. Management is very helpful and your problems will fix as early as possible. There are bits and pieces which needs little attention but that is very easy manageable. At the end you can move here.

Wonderful! You will love Fox Lake Condomiums
Wonderful! That is the word that best describes the Fox Lake Condominiums experience. It begins with the staff, in particular, Ms. Dorothy and Ms. Regina. Their expertise ensures a thoughtful, resourceful and plainless transition. They are caring and make certain you and any needs you may have are taken care of at all times. Too, the maintenance staff have great attitudes and attend to your needs promptly. I have no reservations in recommending Fox Lake Condominiums. They are first rate.

Extremely Pleased!
I have lived at Fox Lake Condominium for two years and am moving due to relocation. Fox Lake is one of the best values around considering the lease rates and location. When I first began looking for an apartment, there were other complexes that offerred three bedrooms at a comparable price; however, when I visited the other locations at night, there were several people congregating in the parking lots with music playing, which made me wonder about noise level. I have not had any problems with noise or safety concerns. In fact, my unit is on the edge of the complex and has nice views of the trees surrounding the property, which adds to a feeling of not being surrounded by hundreds of people, which has been nice. When I moved in, I read about complaints about the staff and maintenance, but my experience has been that the staff has always been very responsive to my needs and I have been very pleased with the maintenance staff as well. Parking has not been a problem in the rear end of the complex and I have thankfully not had any issues with vandalism. The pool area is very active, but people seem to be respectful of each other--I've not had any issues with any noise from the pool area at night. It seems to be family friendly--I see several younger children playing about the community. Overall, it has been a great experience.
