The perfect place....

If you are looking for a great place to live, you need to have Foxlake Condominiums on your list! The location is great, within 5 to 15 minutes of anything you could possibly need. 5 minutes to West Town Mall, less than 10 to Turkey Creek, 15 minutes from downtown, and right in the middle of Cedar Bluff, which would include a hospital, Walmart, 2 Kroger's, Sidesplitters Comedy Club and just about every restaurant you could need. Dorothy and Regina are part of the first class staff that is available to you. The maintenance crew, David, Mark, Brian, Clay and some others I feel bad not knowing names, are right on top of things when you need something done. If the stove is a little old and burning things, there's a new stove brought to you within a few days. Dishwasher not cleaning things correctly? They will give you tips on how to better utilize it and if those tips don't fix the problem the new dishwasher delivered and installed by Thursday will. The grounds are well kept, mowed, blown, and cleaned regularly. I could go on and on about the staff and personnel that takes such great care of us but I would be remiss in failing to mention the tennis court, 2 pools, hot tub (which is open year round), and 24 hour fitness center. The neighbors are friendly and the location is safe (with on-site Knox County officers). Now all I need is some fishing poles to take advantage of the stocked lake, some new shoes to take advantage of the walking track, and a youngster to take to the kid's playground. All in all, I have to thank the person that referred me to this beautiful place. It has been an absolute joy living here! Now, if you don't mind, I'm going out to sit on my porch and listen to the sound of water splashing into the fountain. Life is great here. Don't miss out on the opportunity, we need a new neighbor next door as I'm writing this!

    Love it!

I have been a resident at Foxlake for three years now and could not be happier. The apartment is adorable and my kids love it here and have made a ton of friends. During the summer we all hang out at the pool, during the winter we jump in the hot tub. The maintenance guys, Brian, Mark and Clay are all over the place and keep the place looking great. The office staff seems to know everyone by name and could not be friendlier or more helpful. I thought about buying a house, then started thinking about mowing a yard and putting on new roofs and decided to just stay put. I love Foxlake!

        Wonderful place to live!

After divorcing and moving across country, I ended up at Fox Lake without knowing much about Knoxville. The staff here has been very nice and helpful in my adjustment to a new atmosphere. I now consider them my family here in Tennessee. THe amenities here are incredible! There is a lake where my children fish and a walking trail. Everything I need as far as shopping is right here at my backdoor. I would recommend Fox Lake to anyone!

          Great place to live!

I have lived at Fox Lake for over 8 years now, I have always felt safe with onsite security. Any requests for repairs needed were handled in a fast and friendly manner. I was always greeted with a smile by professional staff and my request was handled ,I could go about my day and not worry about it again. I have enjoyed the use of the tennis cout and swimming pools,I even held a party at the clubhouse and ejoyed all the amenities offered here. It is a family friendly place to live I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to call home.

            Office Staff is TERRIABLE

At the begining that apartment seemed great. We had a little mold in our bathroom and they assured us that they would get that cleaned up, I feel that kind of cleaning should have been done before move in but wasn't enough to get mad about, but then we spent the next 3 weeks calling the office to have someone come clean it. Then next problem was out water heater going out 2 months after move in. Then 5 month into our lease the A/C went out, and then right around the time to re-sign the lease we had a major leak in our bathroom and instead of trying to fix it they suggested that we move out and find another place to live. I would not recommend you rent from this complex. They may paint their apartments nicely but behind that paint is a big mess and the staff is never helpful. Out of 5 stars I would give them a -5

              Not So Good

I lived at Fox Lake from 2007-2008. Within the first week of living there we had an attempted robbery. The police were fast though. It did take maintenance a few days to clean the fingerprint dust off of the door. Our neighbors above us had children and they would constantly stomp. We complained to management and their answer was that, "the last tenants never complained about it." However, God forbid I turn my stereo up past level 3 on a Saturday evening. We had the courtesy officer come to our door at least 5 times to say that he received a noise complaint, but couldn't hear any noise. Once he got a noise complaint when I was sleeping. My roommate dog sat for a weekend for his mother to find a note on the door the next day saying that we could be evicted for having a pet over. Don't get me wrong, the bedrooms were huge, but the walls are apparently paper thin. I mistakenly put my bed next to the window and you could feel the cold air coming through. Typical KUB bill with what that so called money saving gas energy would come out to $180 for a 2 bedroom apartment. I worked at a car lot and I would constantly drive different cars and they didn't like that because they had to make me a special sticker that I could put in different cars so that it wouldn't get towed. They also didn't like it when I drove a black and white cop car. One Saturday evening, we had several friends over - no noise complaint that time - but all of the "visitor parking" was full and there were several empty spaces across from us so 3 of our friends parked there. Well, 3 of our friends' cars got towed by Cedar Bluff Towing. Whenever my mother or one of our girlfriend's visited we would have to have them park all the way down at the end of the complex and drive over to pick them up. On several occasions we had no where to park by our building or any of the surrounding 4 and just said the hell with it and parked in the grass. Management didn't like that, but we have to park somewhere. In my opinion, it was very spacious, but trying to get along with management and a couple of the neighbors (most of the rest were pretty cool) was a living hell.

                BEST PLACE IN KNOXVILLE!

I lived here at Foxlake Condominiums for 3.5 years. They all were wonderful years. I have been a renter for the greater part of the last 14 years of my life and by far, my time at Fox Lake as been one of the best experiences I have ever had. The staff here is one of the friendliest and most helpful I have ever seen. Regina, Susan and Dorothy always knew me by name, were more the willing to help me out with any situation and always, always treated me with the utmost respect. The maintenance staff is, in my opinon, the best in the area. They know how to fix any and all problems I had. Brian and his team were always quick and friendly and no matter how silly the situation, they were always glad to help. I never had a problem with noise, though I know all situations are different, but I had a dog living in the apartment beneath me and one above me, and I never heard them barking. The couple beneath me even played the drums and I never heard him! The air conditioners work great, my utilies were well priced, my water was next to nothing and I got special pricing with Comcast which the office had worked out for its residents. The only negative is that parking at the complex can be a little bit of a bear, if you are coming in late at night. I always found a place to park, but there were sometimes where I had to park a little farther away than I'd like, but nothing unbearable. The grounds are always well maintained and they even try to clean them almost every day. The pool and hottub were always opened and clean. The hottub does have a couple jets not working but it is still very very relaxing. One annoyance is that they do not allow gas or charcoal grills because of the fire hazard, but that is becoming more a regularity in all apartment complexes. As far as safety concerns, I know of at least 2 officers who stay there and I never saw a night go by where an officer didn't patrol the complex. You are within minutes of any restraunts, shopping and great public and private schools, some within walking distance. Me, my wife and my dog all loved it here and even though we have bought our first home, we will always consider the staff at Fox Lake a part of our family. If you are looking for a place to call home, you'll truly find it here!!!

the staff is very misleading and unpleasant to deal with, not to mention discriminatory

I would have to say the staff is misleading from several in person visits and telephone conversations. They told me I can have a large dog, however they eliminated over 30 Large breeds and said they were aggresive breeds and labeled falsely by the AKC-American Kennel Club. This is a lie and discriminatory because I called them in N.C. at the central office and they said its a lie. If fox lake says they allow large breed dogs its a lie in itself and they said they put people with large breed dogs in certain designated buildings, ha ha since I asked them what large breeds do they accept, they said we don't know? I would never move their if they paid my rent for the next 10 years, in fact told them they are eliminated from my list. If they discriminate animals immagine how they treat humans?

                    Good place to live

I have been here for nearly 5 years now, and have had a very good experience overall. The maintenance staff have been friendly, and have responded quickly to any requests that I or my roommate have made. Over the course of the last few years, I have met numerous neighbors, some of them extremely nice, others not as friendly, but I have never had any problems with any of them. I have a dog and have really enjoyed how pet friendly this complex is; some of the owners do not clean up after their pets, but most are responsible. The office staff has always been friendly and accomodating.

There is a good reason why Fox Lake was highly recommended!

Before moving to Fox Lake, I lived on 11th Street in downtown Knoxville, which is littered with college students. I was looking for a much quieter, safer place to reside, so my wife and I visited a dozen apartment communities ($700-800 price range). Fox Lake stood out, without question, and I'm glad that we chose to move there. I felt the need to write a review, particularly to debunk some of the negative reviews. I hope those interested in Fox Lake will take notice that most of the reviews are positive (>70% recommendation rate), which is something you won't find at most apartment complexes in this price range in West Knoxville. Only two other apartment complexes in this area have a higher recommendation rate (Walker's Crossing, Reserve at Westland), but it would have cost us $1000 per month to get a similar floorplan. We were lucky enough to get a Foxboro floorplan, which is almost 1200 square feet. Because my wife and I were newlyweds, we only needed one bedroom, but the other two bedrooms served as storage, and we put it to very good use. We lived in one of the newer buildings (building #14). I've heard some people complain about the older buildings, which would make sense. I'm sure that the apartments in the newer buildings are in much better shape. Here are a few things that I knew we couldn't avoid. When you live in an apartment, unless you are "lucky" enough to live on the top floor, you WILL have to deal with upstairs noise, period. It doesn't matter how noisy your neighbors are (yes, some are noisier than others), and it doesn't matter if your neighbors are conscience of that phenomenon, I've never lived in an apartment that didn't have "thin" walls/ceilings. Fortunately, our upstairs neighbors were fairly quiet, so the only noises we ever heard were footsteps. Parking at our building wasn't a problem (there are also plenty of visitor parking spots), but I've heard that parking is an issue with the older buildings. The location on Fox Lonas is much safer and quieter than where I lived downtown, and it is right down the street from Catholic High School. Very few college students reside here. The best part of living at Fox Lonas was the staff/maintenance crew, by far. The staff is as wonderful as advertised, and they met our every need. We had a few maintenance issues, from time to time, but anytime we had a problem, our requests were honored within a 24-48 period. To me, good maintenance is one of the most important parts of apartment living, and we definitely received that at Fox Lake.

Don't be fooled by the fake-nice staff!

The office staff are fake nice and will lie about parking not being a problem. After 9 p.m. it's impossible. I rate 2 spots and can rarely find 1. They would rather a 5 year resident gets a spot than anyone else. My apt. had ants within 2 days and I find giant millipedes on a regular basis. The "bug spray" is a few roach traps. The apt. has flooded on 2 separate occasions. It still smells like mold. Twice the apt. people were the only ones in my place and my furniture was damaged but they denied responsiblity. The AC units are undersized and old. The laundry room onsite is just 2 old W/D for the entire complex. This isn't sour grapes, this is actual experiences. When I have complained the staff basically told me "tough". There have been shootings in the parking lot and oh yeah, no one cleans up after their pets, watch your shoes! This is a 100% true and unembellished review. I honestly couldn't make this much up.

                          Best Staff Around, Great Location

With any condo. or apt. community, you're going to have pros and cons. But at Fox Lake, the good DEFINITELY outweighs the bad. The staff is the best we've ever experienced (Regina, Sherri, Susan, etc.)--incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, personable, professional and experienced/time-tested. The complex is in a great location with convenient access to every major and desirable part of Knoxville, and the surrounding area has everything you could want or need (including food delivery). There are two private and several public schools nearby; one of the private schools is literally across the street! Plenty of churches of practically every denomination can be found within a 5-mile radius. They allow pets, including large breeds of dogs, and they're careful to screen out agressive breeds. There are several floor plans to choose from, and the prices are very competitive. (You can always check the website for other features and amenities.) Now, about the bad stuff... Some people don't clean up after their dogs, we've had some pest problems (but not anything unusual for an apt.), and our unit, being on the 3rd floor, stays too warm (to just plain hot) in the summer. The upside is that we rarely need to turn on the heat in the winter, and when we do we usually just build a fire (and the fireplace is another plus). The kitchens are smallish galley-style, but the pantry/laundry room and walk-in closets are a decent size. Unfortunately, we have some new neighbors whose children are more than a bit messy and mischeivous, whose dogs bark loudly and frequently, and who throw their cigarette butts off their balcony onto the ground. Except for them, however, the other residents are extremely kind and considerate of everyone else. All of that said, we love it here and, as a result, just renewed our lease for another year. If you're looking to rent, and the price is right, you should definitely join us at Fox Lake.

Bottom line, lived here almost 2 years now and constantly find things leaking, bugs, or have to listen to neighbors. I am just trying to warn other people not to make my mistake in taking up residents here. --- Forgot to add that there are at least 21 registered sex offenders within a mile radius of Fox Lake. Don't believe me... look at the safety tab. Ridiculously dangerous considering how many schools are in the area.

Cons: Apt. was too small for us. Not enough closets/storage. Walls too thin. Pros: The area of the complex where we were was wonderful. The neighbors were friendly and everyone got along very well. I always felt safe. The staff was always friendly and ready to help. When we weren't entirely sure when we were going to move out, the staff was great at working with us. The maintenance men were helpful and timely. Though we felt cramped in the apartment, I would recommend them because of how safe we felt and how friendly everyone was. The people in the office were the same the whole time we were there and have worked there for years. That should tell you that it's not a bad place to work. If you have to live in an apartment complex in Knoxville, TN, in that price range, you could do a lot worse.

                                  Nice apartments

Fox lake is a very nice apartment complex to live in. The key here is that it is an apartment complex, so there are going to be minor issues (like those mentioned in previous posts). There is only so much the leasing managers, etc... can do about typical neighbor problems (garbage being left out, noise, cigarette butts, etc...). The apartment complex is in a nice neighborhood with easy access to a lot of things. There is a nature trail that is nice to walk around. Two pools so you can choose which one you want to take a dip in. There is a nice playground for kids. There is ample parking for residents and guests. The apartments are nice and roomy. The layout of the apartments are great. The rooms are big for it being an apartment. The only problems we had when we lived at Fox Lake was 2 noisy neighbors (which we had the managers contacted or we contacted ourselves) and a problem with people not cleaning up their dog poop (which it sounds like the managers have taken care of--to the extent that they can--by adding dog areas and doggie poop bags).

Fox Lake- good and bad, great for the price and accomidations

I have to say that I really don't understand where the three posts below come from. I have been living here for almost a year now, and while yes, there are some problems, it is a apartment complex, and people will be people. First off, the office staff cares very much about the people that live here. You call them with a problem, and it will be addressed. It may take a few days, but it will be addressed. After Hours isn't responsive, however, if you are calling them to complain about trash or some such, then you shouldn't be calling them. I know that you can find this site, so take a gander at the phone number at the top of the page and call Sherri or Regina. As for the complaints of neighbors- did you talk to them? Because complaining about them here or even to the management isn't going to let your neighbors know that you have a problem with them. I have had a few nights where I went upstairs and had to tell the kids to turn down the music at 2am, but they did, and it was fine. I'm also fairly certain that the management can't do anything about the trash or messy balconies unless you actually, you know, tell them about it. Take pictures and take the camera with you. I did when some dork threw up all over the stairwell. The management gives you a check list to go over when you move in. If there were problems apon move in- like a stove or a nasty carpet, why did you not put it on that checklist? Why did you move in in the first place? I know that when my family moved in, we came about a week before to walk in the apt and look around and make sure that we were happy with it. Pools- Pools are a tiny over chlorinated and overfilled, but all in all not near as bad as some public ones that I have been to. I do wish it had keys to keep small children out of it. Parking- yes, it's not the greatest in the world. But we have a towing service for a reason guys. If it doesn't have a Fox Lake sticker or a Guest Pass we all have the right to call after hours or the office and give them the license plate number and have it towed. Same goes for the people that park in the wrong places- as a matter of fact, if THOSE people have Fox Lake stickers, get the plate number, and call the office and give it to them. They will contact the person that the vehicle belongs to. ( We had a few out by building 11 that was doing this (and parking in front of the stop sign no less) for a while but I haven't seen it in a few months). Kids- Don't place any blame on the staff for kids. DO take pictures of the havoc they cause and take it to the staff. Same for people that hit your car. Bottom line is that if you have a problem, it can't be fixed unless you call and talk to the ladies at the office. Those women are there to help us, but they can't if they don't know that there is a problem or what it is. I would recommend Fox Lake to anyone, but let them know about the parking situation. Everything else is grand for me. Oh- and to the one that complained that the staff asked you to go to another apartment after you paid your deposit- you are in a pet building. Maybe someone with pets was trying to move in. From the sounds of your post, you don't have any.

                                      Don't waste your money!

I have been living in Fox Lake since November 07 and have had nothing but problems since I moved in. First, I live in a pet building and the carpet was never replaced before I moved in and the first day I moved in, I had flea bites all over my legs. They eventually came and sprayed, after most my stuff was moved in. Second, I had already put down a deposit on the apt I am in right now and they tried to get me to move into another apt due to another person wanting the one I already put a deposit on. Third, the office staff has no concept of customer service. The 2 leasing agents don't even say "good bye" to you when you call them...seriously?! They don't care about you as a resident, all they want is your money. Only good things I can say is, the maintenence guys will come at the drop of a hat, but make sure you get someone who knows what they are doing, and the location is really good. Other than that, I plan on moving after my lease is up next year. Guest parking is a joke, have had kids run down and knock on everyone's doors, weight machines in gym have never been fixed, paper thin walls, and apartments need updated....badly! Rent is really high and everyone seems to be paying something different. They make you pay a $200 cleaning fee, for what? The apartment was never clean when I moved in. You would think someone would have noticed the fleas. The people above me are super noisy, leave trash on the balcony, which has made me recenlty have a fly problem. I've had over 100 dead flies w/in 2 days. Called after hours services, sounded like they were having a party when I called regarding the flies. They stated would call me back when pest control was contacted, it's been 2 days, and still no phone call. If it wasn't going to cost me over $1000 to break the lease, I would do it in a heartbeat. You would think having designated pet areas with trash recepticles would be nice, right? The box of plastic bags has run out and it's been about 3 months and hasn't been refilled so there is dog ---- in the grassy ares. In the spring the lake smells really bad, they keep it filled with fish, yeah, dead ones! They appear to be nice and kept up with from the outside, but that is not the case. Do not judge this book by it's cover. Use Fox Lake as a last resort.

Can't wait to move out next year!

My wife has already commented on another person's rating but I'll use her comments here and add some more. Neighbors: Sure, you're going to find bad neighbors anywhere but at least at other places the staff will do something about it. I have called the courtesy officer on at least 9 different nights to complain about my upstairs neighbors. Nothing has ever been done about them even though I have talked to management several times about them. Also, the courtesy officer doesn't even show up most of the nights we call either. At least one of my calls was never recorded by the person answering the phone so they don't have a record of me calling in. I have also called the real cops once. They own at least two guitars and one amp (that's what we've seen so far) and they only like to play between 2AM - 4AM. The kids are also on different schedules it sounds like so one is ALWAYS up all through the night. We get awoken quite often and it makes me madder than anything. If I'm paying $735 a month to stay here I should at least get a decent night's sleep. I can hear their every movement, toilet flush, conversation, etc. It sounds like they are constantly bowling, dragging around furniture, slamming cabinets, hammering, etc. when they are home. They throw beer cans, trash, cigarette butts, bottle tops, etc. into the grass and bushes around my unit and drop all sorts of stuff down through the cracks onto my porch. Needless to say, we don't use our porch at all because of this. They leave their trash outside on their front door step most of the days of the week. I have pictures of it leaking down onto my door mat and in front of our door. I really love smelling garbage every day when I leave the house. There were stains from the garbage for over a month until my wife couldn't stand it any more and cleaned it herself (fox lake won't clean it apparently). I complained to management about this as well and nothing was ever done (according to the lease they are supposed to be fined). The people next to us and above us smoke. The walls and ceiling are so thin that we can smell it and know when they are smoking indoors. In summary, if your neighbors are horrible nothing will be done about it. Parking: There aren't enough spaces. People just make up parking spots and like to park in the road. People here have no respect for other people's cars and both of my cars have been hit several times by people opening up their doors all of the way and hitting them (sad that we actually opened up the blinds in one of our rooms last week and WITNESSED one of our neighbors swinging open their doors all the way hitting one of our vehicles. My brand new car already has a dent in it and paint marks after only owning it for a couple of months. There aren't enough guest parking spots either. We've only had a few people over so it hasn't affected us, but from what we've seen they stay pretty full. Most of the time it is the same cars that park there. I've seen two cars with slashed tires since I've lived here. On a few occasions I've seen teenagers throwing footballs or kicking soccer balls in the parking lot. They don't seem to care when they throw a football directly into someone's car door. Bugs: They only spray once every few months and ONLY for roaches. We thought they sprayed for everything but the bug man told us differently when he sprayed while we were at home. If you have a problem with any other bugs it looks like you have to lodge a formal complaint with management to have something done about it. I've had to call them several times about our large spider problem (30 brown and black ones the size of a quarter and others) and about our house centipede problem (mostly in the fall and spring). We also get silverfish, earwigs (we call them pincher bugs), ants, others. Most of our spiders like to come in through the part of our fireplace where the chain hangs so our fireplace now is covered in poison and we spray it often. Good thing we don't ever want to use it. We have never seen a roach in our apartment (thank God!) but the bug guy told us that we were REALLY lucky and that other buildings have really bad problems with them. He said that they will probably have to fumigate at least one of them. Amenities: We have one tennis court. It has some horizontal cracks all the way through and also has two huge cracks that run the full length of the court. It looks like someone drove over the court and ripped it up. Also the edge of the court is falling in as well and if your ball goes to the far end then it will fall through the edge and roll out and you'll have to leave the court to go get it. The fountain near the court smells really bad and you can smell it from the court. The worst is when the wind is blowing hard and you can feel the stinky fountain spray on your skin. There is also dog poop in all of the grass around the court. The "putting green" looks like the lamest thing ever. We have two pools and one hot tub. I can't comment on the one near the office (besides that it is always crowded) but the other one is really small. There is more concrete around it than there is pool. I've laid out there before and we were constantly getting splashed since the whole area is rather small. Not the best but it is a pool I guess. There is a small path that runs behind the pond for you to jog on. I used to jog down it for a good while but I would get tired of jogging to one end and having to turn around and jog back. I wish it went all around the pond in one loop. Also, people walk their dogs on it and it gets poop on it. The "work out area" is pretty bad. It was really trashy and smelled bad. Haha, the treadmill was actually telling us that it needed to be cleaned. There is one treadmill, an elliptical machine, a bike, a multipurpose machine, and one other machine I think. You have to get the key from the front office if you want to use it. Which if you have a job is impossible since the office only stays open till about six and doesn t open till eight in the mornings. Staff: The ladies in the front office are REALLY nice ladies. I like them a lot, but I get mad that I can never get anything done about most of my problems. The bug sprayers only spray for roaches unless you call in a complaint. We've been home twice while they were "changing the air filter." This past time they brought three guys to do it. Last time they brought FIVE guys to change our filter. I wasn't home but my wife had to keep telling them to stay off of the carpet since they had muddy boots and they kept wanting to go into our bedroom to check for something (do some units have two air filters? We just have one in the kitchen). Maintenance and anyone else working here come into your house at any time without notice. This really makes you and your possessions feel safe, right? The actual apartment: -Our carpet has pink stains all over it from shoddy carpet cleaning work. -The electrical system is really bad. We can't plug in an iron or hair dryer at the same time or it trips the breakers. I've also plugged in other things and it trips them. Now we only use electrical items in certain places around the house so our power doesn't turn off. -They sometimes pressure wash the front door and around it (but not often) and the water gets inside our house and the wood in front of the door is bowing up and is distorted. -the bugs as mentioned above -thin walls and ceiling -Our smoke alarms are super sensitive and the one in the living room goes off WAY too easily. -My oven smoked for the first month or so due to shoddy cleaning before I moved in. We complained and they brought someone in to clean it again but it didn't help at all. My wife had to buy oven cleaners and spend several weeks on it to get it to stop smoking when using the oven. After a year of being here it still smokes if we use the broiler. -bugs can come in through fireplace -the door and frame that leads to the patio isn't sealed at all. If you sit in front of the door in the winter you can feel the cold air blowing into the house. You can see outside through the cracks and bugs can easily get in. -Utilities are REALLY high here. Living here by myself was way more expensive than living with two other people in my last place. I used to live in a two story 3 bed, 3 bath townhouse with TWO air conditioning and heating systems (one for upstairs, one for down), all three of us cooking, washing, using electricity and the utility bills never reached as high as it is when I was living here by myself. The vents are on the ceiling and if you run the heat it just leaves and heats the apartment above you. It gets pretty cold here in the winter. I bought a space heater to use in the winter. We have a standing tower fan as well for the summer. If I don't use any heat and hardly any air conditioning my bill will still be ~$100 a month. If you have to use any heat it jumps to about $160 . -the only ceiling fan is in our living room. I'd like one for the bedroom. -Rent is pretty high. Overall, this definitely isn't the worst place to live but for the price it should be better. Most every place was either taken up already or we didn't like them so we ended up choosing to live here until we can buy a house. Also, I only had a few days to look for places to live in Knoxville. I'm sure people will respond saying that they have "never lived in a better place", but that is their opinion. Maybe not all of the apartments are like mine but seeing how as I'm paying more because I'm living in one of the newer ones I expect more.

                                        Don't make my mistake

My husband and I were new to Knoxville, so we reviewed apartments online and Fox Lake had the least amount of bad things written about it so we moved into a 3 room unit. Huge mistake. Since we have moved in we have woken up at 2 am so many times I can't even count. The walls are paper thin and since moving in I have learned when the people above us use their bathroom the most because I can hear them do everything from pee to cough. I can't use my balcony anymore because it is covered in cigarette butts from the people above. My front door has garbage juice on it daily from the people above me, despite Fox Lakes lease statement saying that they will be fined $50.00 every time a resident leaves garbage sitting outside their door. They also say that after 3 noise complaints within a one month period, renters will be freed from their contract and asked to leave. After months of complaints, I have yet to see any action taken at all. None whatsoever. The individuals in the office are nice and smile all the time, but they are there for a reason. They have to cover for the lack of their apartments. I feel bad for them actually. Oh and side note, the pool is a joke, there is more concrete around it than water in it. None of our doorways hang evenly either. There is a constant draft because the doors aren't hung evenly. Our drawers stick because they were put together incorrectly. I can't have the iron and the blow dryer plugged in at the same time otherwise it flips the breaker.

Fox Lake is a Great Place to live!!

I moved into Fox Lake 3 years ago and I absolutely love living here. The big thing that attracted me are the size of the rooms...they are huge compared to the other apartments I looked at. It is nestled off of Cedar Bluff, making it just far away from the noise but close to everything. The people who live in my building are very nice and helpful and the staff is awesome. The girls in the office are very friendly and will help you out with just about anything they can...and the maintenence guys are great too...they are very prompt on getting things fixed if you have something wrong and always offer a smile. I plan on living here for a long time...the community here is a perfect environment...there are so many amentities for the price paid on rent...i'd be a fool to move out of here.

My husband and I made a cross country move to Tennessee last year. We were completely unfamiliar with the area and finding an apartment seemed daunting. I was lucky enough to stumble upon Foxlake Condominiums in my search. Regina and Sherry were so helpful from the very beginning. They helped make a very stressful transition much easier. My family loved the atmosphere and ammenities of Foxlake. I spent many morning walking my daughter around the small lake there. I appreciated the maintenance staff as well. They were very prompt on any "fixes" or other issues our apartment had. Again I will say that the apartment was great - but the staff made our time at Foxlake wonderful. We were excited to purchase our home, but sad to leave our friends there.

We had received a package there and she didn't want to send it back. We were able to pick it up and say THANK YOU to Sherri for being so thoughtful.
