Overall, my experience has been very good. In general residents are open and friendly. The few hiccups were, for the most part, externally generated. I particularly appreciate the quiet atmosphere. It keeps things calm and laid back.

I enjoy living in Overture. Most important I feel safe and happy. I have wonderful neighbors and management is concerned about the safety of the residents. The building is very clean and the grounds are beautiful.

We're love our apartment and the community here! Starting about 1-1/2 yrs ago maintenance and cleanliness have been a problem. Maintenance has improved dramatically and we are now quite happy with that. General building cleanliness has improved recently but remains a problem, although we are aware that further changes are being made so we are optimistic.

Overture is a wonderful clean quiet place to live. I feel safe and very comfortable here. I do not participate in most community activities as my life takes me away from the facility several hours per day. A nice community!

It’s all in the questions I’ve answered already. One bad thing is some activities have been reduced or eliminated. Favorite fitness class leaders were done away with. I stopped some wellness classes because they became less and less fun to attend. For example Rut leading drumming and water fitness. Too bad.

After three years of work orders for poorly-flushing toilets and improper venting of dryer exhaust, Sean, our new maintenance man, FIXED BOTH OF THOSE PROBLEMS IN JUST TWO VISITS (ONE EACH). We thank you profusely for AT LAST hiring somebody who actually knows what they're doing. Please give Sean a raise as soon as he asks for one -- and don't even think about ever letting him go because of somebody's idea of "controlling costs." (And whoever thinks letting good people go is effective "cost control" should be sent back to Management 101 class at UTD, right next door to us.) Lastly, a suggestion: find and hire somebody who is effective and efficient at keeping carpets, tile, and public areas clean and well-stocked. PLEASE PRINT THIS IN YOUR BROCHURE, and tell prospective residents to CALL ME OR TEXT ME if they have any questions.

I have now lived at Overture for three years. I couldn’t be happier. First, the place is gorgeous. I love my apartment - big kitchen - the resident community is friendly, inclusive - really my new family. Yep, I’m totally brainwashed. Love this place.

I’ve lived here 9 months. I’m overall pleased with my move and accommodations. Maintenance response and communication was challenging in the beginning. Change of staff has shown improvement with both issues.

It was great when I moved in 3 or so years ago. It has changed drastically over the years. It haas become more of an assisted living facility though now. No one asks about you, no one responds to your questions, and I feel extremely insignificant as a paying tenant.

Just in 2 years, all I see are "take aways" -bre!kfast bo ring, down from 5 to 3; activities nonexistent; Mixi' and Mingle food poor, generally insufficient. Generally feeling is down, down. Empty apartments. Residents retreat behind shut doors.

Very satisfied with my apartment and the community. Dissatisfied in having to write a review of a minimum of 201 characters. I do not understand his requirement i do not want to take the time. Next time i will not take the survey

Ever since, Lorena took over as the community director, I could see a remarkable change in the overall support within the community. Maintenance response could be improved. Much better now than before. Lorena and her new staff ( Kaila) has been exemplary.

Overall experience has been good. I would like to see the floors on every floor cleaned on a regular basis. Also the trash room cleaned. This has not been done over 2 years to my knowledge. Only the floors near the evevators are moped once in a while. I was told only maintainance can do this. How come?

I am extremely pleased with the resident community. It’s a shame management turnover is so quick, we hardly have time to establish a relationship. There is movie screen equipment on the floor in the arts and crafts room that we would appreciate being removed…it has been there for months.

[Incentivized Review] There are no permanent workers, they all are temps due do no one wishes to work here. This place was not designed for the elderly, Because they serve processed foods which is limited, which i think the workers are eating it, it was designed for the younger ones who wish to be away from kids. Needs to delete having valet trash pickup. Everyone is trashing their own. Overture Plano went to a answering system in 2018, which doesn't work properly. As of today, no manager. Services here have decreased, but my rent is constantly going up with each renewal. They do not have 18 months lease anymore. I have an intercom device in each bedroom, told that in 2018. Every time an idiot pull the fire alarm, it goes off in my bedrooms, so since I did move in a rental house as Katie Earnest suggested, there is an additional horn installed above on a ledge near my apartment door to force me to move in a rental house. Now in the last 3 months the bathroom light is constantly flickering indicating there is an electricity shortage. All this HELL I have been receiving indicating there is an EVIL CONSPIRACY AGAINST ME!!! DAMAGED MY PRINTER, CONSTANTLY ENTERING TO STEAL, AC WAS TURNED OFF, WORKER REPLACED ME WITH AN DEFECTED WATER FILTER, WHICH MADE ME SICK, LOCKED OUT OF THE INTERNET (HACKED), the conspirators told me I needed a mobile to receive a code, which is authentic, an evil LIAR, stationery phone is more secure, you can lose a mobile or they will steal it also!!! EVILNESS IS PAID BACK BY THE EVILNESS YOU HAVE ENFORCED UPON ME THREE TIMES OVER!!!

A minimum of two hundred and one characters required? Well.... there's me, Ed, Gene, Doug and maybe a couple more characters around here, but for sure there's not two hundred and one of us. We do have a few amusing experiences we like to share and laugh about (when we can get a word in edgewise, us guys are outnumbered twenty to one). But remember, we are a bunch of old coots and experiences are few and far between. (that we can remember)

Beware
Definitely avoid this place if you can. It's mainly the staff that is terrible. And thin walls. Apartments not practically built - a fancy mess! Greystar doesn't seem to care about holding their staff accountable for the jobs they pay them to do. Communication poor, no follow up phone calls if you have a problem - you have to find time to go to their office, and no one may be available but the receptionist. Maintenance incompetent and the girl named Emilee in the office over Activities- doesn't speak well, communicates poorly, is mean spirited to residents. The place is clean enough, but utilities are very high on top of high rent and almost $200 extra fees. An account with Spectrum is mandatory and $90 at minimum. They take advantage of the elderly by not communicating with them.

We love it here and have leased our apartment for our next 6th year. We love the property and especially our apartment. We do not participate in a lot of activities because of health reasons; but we do appreciate the amount of activities offered.

None/Great - enjoyed exercising, community activities. Also, I feel wonderful staying here. Meeting new friends, dancing and having fun. This place keeps my spirit lifted and makes my depression to stay very low.

I have been requesting my bedroom carpet be replaced and installed properly so that it would stop unraveling at the threshold to the bathroom. I have been emailing and talking to management about this since January. I have a mobility problem and this presents a FALL HAZARD, not to mention how unsightly it is. I need a flat surface to walk on, not a threshold that has been suggested. This happened about 3 years ago and although the carpet was replaced, it still wasn’t done correctly—as I was told, which is because the carpet tack was initially installed too far from the threshold. Please respond to this request.
