Not nice people. Rude, dishonest and ruthless, will do anything for the almighty dollar. Apts arent even worth what they charge. I had a two bedroom and the smaller room, my child's room, AC never worked the entire year we were there. I was talked into signing a lease without viewing the unit....BIG mistake! Don't ever let an apt do that and please, don't move to Bent Tree. My apt had mold oozing from under the walls!!! Pics included. In addition to being a 1 star community try to behave and charge as a 5 star one, which is a joke, there are these feral cats ALL over the complex. Where I live now IS luxury and worth the $$$, plus I have yet to see a single stray cat...ANYWHERE!

I have been a resident in this for few years now. This is one of the stupid apartments around. With the new management (BH) maintenance & customer care is at its worst ever. This is pretty old apartment complex and expensive too. It still survives becoz of its close proximity to USAA thats all, nothing is better in this. I can tell you today's status as 6 out of 8 driers in the community wont work in both places. If it rains heavily the apartments in ground floor of few blocks will be under water. Most of the people stay there are ------- as they just want to walk to USAA. Instead of buying the car they manage by walking to work. That is why you see them full all the time. Airconditioning wont work in most of the 2 bed apartments. Half of the time swimming pools will be under maintenance. Any service requests/complaints will be addressed only if it is cheap thing like replace a light bulb kind of , that too after 3 weeks if you are lucky.

I've been living in the Medical Center for roughly 6 years now, and lived in 6 different apartment complexes. While Bent Tree isn't the prettiest, it is the best one yet over all. The staff are nice and leave me the hell alone, which is great because I hate when office workers just show up unannounced. I once made a mistake and only paid a partial rent on the online payment system, so THEY CALLED ME. IT WAS AWESOME. I was able to pay right then and there, no fees, no problems. I don't think I've *ever* had apartment staff call me for anything before. Honest mistake and it got fixed on the spot. The neighbors are mostly Indian and Pakistani, and keep to themselves in a polite way. There's India Chaat (awesome restaurant) RIGHT there so I can get breakfast on my walk to work. And I've ACTUALLY seen the courtesy officer drive through. THEY *ARE* REAL! And when there were some un-desirables causing problems, they got dealt with and shut up. This place is great. I'd recommend it to anyone that wants to be left alone, and enjoys the quiet.

Horrible staff. They never answer the phone and make you feel like you are a bother. It's infested with bed bugs and cats. Water is constantly being turned off. When water is on , it's usually cold. Walls are thin. I can hear my neighbor when he goes to the bathroom, talking, watching tv, even chopping food. Truly hate it here.

This is a really lovely apartment, just saw mine today and move in on Friday... I can't beleive some of these awful reviews as some must have had just really bad luck. Perhaps it's the new management team but I am very impressed with the place! It's roomy and lots of sunshine and gorgeous wrap around patio. Mine has vaulted ceilings too and hardwood flooring, fireplace, just a very nice apartment!!! It seems like a very safe and friendly community too! So happy!!!

I have lived here for past 8 months and the only thing I could say about my stay here is that it was peaceful, without much of worries. Though the apartments are really old & expensive, the management is kind and the maintenance is top notch, which is more than enough for people to live peacefully. This apt is conveniently located, which is a plus point. Positives: Good maintenance, Convenient location, Lots of Big Trees around Negatives: Very Old apartments, High Rents, No Covered parking (you can park only under trees), Lots of unowned cats

I Lived at Bent Tree for about a year and a half and had a great living experience, I'm truly sad i had to leave. The office staff were very nice and had awesome customer service from day one, I felt right at home. Every time I submitted work orders it was fixed the very next day or same day. Maintenance men were also very nice and knew what they were doing. The location is also great. Good parking, the laundry room was clean and fair, also can't forget the awesome movie rentals. I really do recommend living here.

I have lived at Bent Tree for approximately 2 years. I love this place and I am sad to be leaving. Venterra has such amazing staff that though I am moving to a new city, I chose another Venterra property. The staff is so friendly and they actually care about you. The maintenance is prompt and efficient. The pools are fabulous and it is a quiet oasis in the middle of the city. Honestly, this is the best apartment experience I ever had and I am truly going to miss the staff at Bent Tree. I also loved the apartments. The paint scheme is contemporary and the floor plans are spacious. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking.

This is the first apartment that I rented when I first moved from India. I should say that the people in the leasing office were awesome. They were really helpful and made me feel at home. Were on top of any maintenance issues that I had. The maintenance guys were very efficient. Coming to the bed bugs and the roaches stories that people say. I have lived here 2 years and have not had any problem. No matter where u stay I think it's important that WE need to keep our house clean for us to protest our self from any kinda bugs. I should say that it is an old property which has been kept alive and well maintained by Sheryl and her team. Will I think abt moving out.......No Way...... will i refer anyone ......... already have :-)

Large airy apartments, lots of sun. The management and leasing office is friendly and helpful, and they have a pool table and lots of DVDs. There's two good sized swimming pools too. The maintenance team is very efficient and helpful and you mostly get your problems resolved in a day! I would be happy to recommend this place to my friends.

Ok, so there are things that are nice about this place and things I don't like. I have never had any issues with bed bugs (knock on wood), however roaches are a different story. I used a whole arsenal to try to get rid of them. They were coming through the vents. Spraying will help for a little while but they are coming back from other apartments or in the vents, I don't know, all I know is that an exterminator looked at our place and said that it wasn't coming from us. So watch out for the roaches, clove oil around the vents seems to help. The appliances are out dated but I guess the place is older, things break easily. Maintenance comes fairly quickly but the fix sometimes doesn't last. For instance the drains clog very easily and it is difficult to try to fix the clog. On safety I have never gotten broken into, and my car hasn't either. I like the free dvd rentals, they are pretty nice. The office staff is kind and they have events going on. The pool is often empty which is nice around summer. There is a bad stray cat population here so be careful if you have pets. I knew someone whose dog was attacked by one of the cats. The laundromat onsite looks pretty dirty so I don't do laundry there. Overall the main concern is the roach issue, I have never had issues with roaches until I moved here. Perhaps it is better if you don't live on the bottom floor. The rent isn't bad for what you get, but I really wish I picked a better place. Oh yeah and watch out for crazy drivers speeding down the hill.

Wish I could live here but I need washer connections. Bent Tree was on the list I got and when I went it was real busy but the boss got up an helped me. Who knew looking for an apartment would be fun. They were all so friendly and the apartment looked great for the price but I just bought a new washer and dryer and cannot do without them. The next apartment was in April so that was too far away for me to wait but I will come back. I hate that I settled for some place that was only so so because I can't wait to leave now. I should have listened to my friend, she has been at Bent Tree for two years and is very happy. Lesson learned.

Nightmare!! While joining the apartment I was received greatly. While moving out I did not get proper response. I had to get around $800 in refund. Even after 50 days of moving out I did not get the amount back. When asked I am getting poor response. Apt # 221. Move out date: 28-Nov-2012

ive been wanting to leave my opinion for a long time because when somthing is good you should say so. it has been the best apartment so far. five things i love most - i can do everything online - maintenance is quick - the office girls are fun, even the boss - im close to work - my rent is affordable. my friend lived here and was annoyed but thats because they make you follow the rules. pay your rent, dont leave trash on your patio, and dont try to have your boyfriend move in without letting the office know.

I've lived here twice and loved it both times. Since I work for USAA I never like being far from work so thought it pretty great that I could walk to work. I travel a lot and never had concerns about safety, unlike other places I have lived. Maintenance was done quickly. The office girls really nice and made me feel like I was important and made sure things were taken care of when I let them know something was wrong. The only negative I found was it is an older property but I was able to make it work because the pros far outweighted the cons.

It's definitely not the worst place in the world, cause I've lived in worst apartments, but this place isn't the best either. It could be better. Their laundry mat is always dirty! They always have problems with dryers and washers not working right. At first I had roaches that were coming from the a/c vents and in the restroom. I did have to ask them numerous times to come and spray. But only came after I kept bugging them. Although they went away i still saw them here and there. I had cracks in the walls and all my other neighbor friends had them too. My windows were dirty and dusty, the sink had old food around the faucet from previous residents. The dishwasher smelled moldy, and had food/crumbs under it, so did the fridge. My patio was also dirty and had broken glass which luckily i saw! I could've cut my foot. The only thing clean was their carpet but it had some purple stains which didn't bother me. The shower sucked. But I never had plumbing issues. It was okay. But on a positive note, the manager is super nice and the staff is very nice &welcoming! The maintenance men here fixed my a/c and sink the same day which was pretty awesome! They have nice pool area with bar b cue pit. Parking is good and fair. And they rent out movies which is pretty cool if you ask me.. I also never had problems with noisy neighbors. If I could rate this place from 1-10 i'd give it a 6!

What? I am reading some of these comments and wonder if these people really lived at Bent Tree in San Antonio, especially this last one. I lived here for 18 months while I was at UTHSC and cannot tell you how great it was. If I move back to San Antonio I would plan on going to Bent Tree again. The office is cool because they actually know your name. The place I live now I am lucky if they know my apartment number let alone that I am a resident. My work orders were always done fast. In fact I think most were done the same day. The last posting says he had bugs of all sorts but any time I saw anything I called the office for service and never saw bugs again. I am curious about noise at Bent Tree though because I never had a problem and lived right by the pool so you would think that could get noisy. Never. I had one complaint about a neighbor having a party but called the number for the patrol and it was taken care of quickly. I think what surprised me was that the Manager called the next day to apologize about the disturbance and said she would talk to my neighbor. I miss Bent Tree, the office, the maintenance and the DVDs.

Steer clear of this place. My living experience at Bent Tree was a nightmare. My neighbors were constantly blaring loud music at all hours of the night. My apartment had roaches, hornets, mold, leaks, and the doors and cabinets were literally falling off the hinges. The toilet was covered in rust. My air conditioner would break down every few months. Maintenance does not respond in a timely manner. It took them over a year to patch up a ceiling leak. By then the ceiling had almost caved in, and the area was covered in mold. Management is incredibly rude and condescending. When I had maintenance requests (which were often), they would avoid addressing my concerns. This was an incredibly stressful living experience, to the point that I would dread coming home. And I m still waiting for my deposit refund, which was owed to me over a month ago.

I can honestly say, that during my time at Bent tree Sheryll and her staff have greatly improved the entire place. The previous management was horrible and I can personally say that she and her team do everything in their power to help solve any and all problems you may have during your stay. I had a nasty bedbug problem and following her instructions I was rid of them. The previous person who complained mustn't have followed the simple directions. All in all I would strongly recommend the place. Unfortunately I had to move closer to work and if it wasn't for that reason I would still be living there. Thanks Bent tree.
