Regarding your review about bed bugs i have lived here for 4 years and never had a problem. Since this is a National issue don't blame the complex, you should buy a mattress cover that keeps bed bugs and dust mites away and if you had the mattress for over 8 years you need to buy a new one as required. There are honest people that likes living here and writes good reviews don't blame the manager.

WISH I COULD LIVE HERE!

I lived down the street and wish I had never moved there. I did what everyone does and chose that place because it was cheep. It was to since it burned down right after I moved there. I came here to live with my friend until I could find a place and wish I could stay. It is quiet, the people here are actually nice and really care. I met the security company the first night and was already feeling safe. I see bad comments here and wonder if these people even live here. I tried to get my own apartment but they are full until summer and I cant wait that long. I will be back though and I cant wait!

Great place to live!!!

I have been living here almost 3 years and I truly love it here!! Every time I have had a maintenance issue, the staff here responds fairly quickly. The manager and the ladies that work in the office are very nice, thoughtful and understanding. They always respond respectfully and efficiently to any issues. The apartments are fairly quite, I have never had an issue with noise disturbance or parking, besides there is a patrol on duty that usually drives around the area at night. I would definitely recommend these apartments!!

AWFUL!!!

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!! Never had such a bad experience at an apartment complex. Unlimited problems and the worse maintenance staff you will ever encounter.

Lived more than two years - Excellent Service

I lived in Bent Tree Apartments more than two years. (I had to move to a different city) They have a very good staff who is ready to take care of any concern. Very cooperative and understanding. Given a chance I would love to come back to Bent Tree.

been here a while ... planning to stay

I have been at Bent Tree for about two years now and never seen such a great crew. They are always busy in the office but take the time to smile or say hello. Even the manager gives me a friendly wave when she is on the phone. Maintenance is always done right and I never have to wait long. I see the last person had bed bugs and know from experience it can be frustrating. I bought a bed off craig s list and ended up with bed bugs too but the management worked with me to make sure it was taken care of quickly. It did not take long at all to get rid of them because I followed the plan they have with their pest control company. I have not had a problem for over a year which is a good sign, especially since it is spreading all over the country. I have a friend who moved into an apartment somewhere else and the management was not nearly as willing in the treatment. Too bad she can't move here.

DONT Move Here

Bent Tree is a dump! You can tell what kind of quality you'll get by the large pot holes at the property entrance. I have never seen the so called, "security". Maintenance is always short staffed so it take forever to get something done. Cats are everywhere. Everytime someone shuts their front door the entire building shakes. As soon as my lease ends I am moving!

A Great Choice!

My wife and I have only been here about six months but have already decided we will sign again. Our neighbors are friendly and the location could not be better. The apartments we have lived before were horrible but maintenance here is fantastic. The office is a change from where we have been too because everyone is always smiling and glad to help us.

I want to go back

I lived here for two years and had to move out about two months ago. I hate the new place I live but had to move because of my job. The office at Bent Tree is great! The manager is so nice she actually talks to me like I am a person and the leasing girls are so helpful and funny too. I never had any major maintenance troubles but I would always see them taking care of other people and even they would say hello when they saw me. The place I live now will never be like Bent Tree - I want to go back!

Close to Work

I work at USAA and needed to be on the bus line for school. Bent Tree is the best place for me. I love the office staff. They are very helpful and the interesting thing is I often do not need to ask for help. They see the question on my face and are ready to help. Nice, right? Their service is fast and good on all my requests so I have nothing but good things to say since I have been here.

I was just looking.

I was just looking for an apartment and was so impressed with Bent Tree that I cancelled my lease at another place and moved here. The people are so friendly and funny and I have never had a problem that maintenance was not able to repair quickly. It is an older community but is by far worth it for how happy I have been since I moved here. I love this place!

I am an expert ...

I am an apartment expert. I have lived in nine apartments in my life and never been happier than I am at Bent Tree. Everyone really tries to make a difference, from the maintenance to the office I know I will see a smiling face. I am no longer "that guy from apartment # ..." I have a name and Bent Tree has taken the time to learn it. There is very little I could improve on here. I used to move around but think I have found the right place to stay. Keep up the GREAT work Bent Tree.

LIke living in hell

No bad times

I moved out of Bent Tree after getting a transfer with my job and miss them more that I can say into words. I lived here long ago and said I would never go back but friends said it was much better and I am glad I listened. It was a sad day when I left because it was a nice place to call my home. I had no bad times here.

Very Quick - Very Happy

We have only lived here a short time but have been very happy since we got here. The office is great; every one is so friendly when we go in. Maintenance has completed our work orders faster then we could anticipate, most the same day. Without a doubt we are glad we chose Bent Tree.

Better then others

Overall Bent Tree was a good place to live. When I moved in I loved it, then I had a really bad maintenance problem so it was not so great, then I loved it again. The maintenance did a good job fixing it, the manager was actually the one who took care of all the quick work becasue the guy who worked there then did not know what he was doing. I think that is why he is not there anymore. Maintenance was much better after that guy was replaced and I never had a problem. The problem was not even one you would think of becasue it had to do with the water lines. All my other maintenance problems were fixed right away and pretty quickly becasue I was never waiting long. I chose Bent Tree because it was close to both my job and school and the girls in the office were so great. Other places I went in this area were rude - some were cheaper but I knew I would have a cheaper experience. Choose Bent Tree - you will not be disappointed.

ehhhh... no

well.. where to start... i lived there for almost 2 years. At first it was fine, the leasing agents in the office were great, but the staff isn't so great anymore. Management is friendly and wonderful, but the leasing agents don't reflect the apartment manager. I go in with concerns, I get attitude, at one point I came in and the agent was very unhelpful. When i moved in, the carpet wasn't clean and was infested with flees... later I unfortunately found bed bugs (all new furniture, so i know it wasn't from anything i brought in). Pest control did come in and spray, but the fact is the carpet should have been cleaned before move in. I had to rid my apartment of fleas myself, pest control didn't really help. In the end, I didn't get a chunk of my deposit back because of "carpet cleaning" when in fact it was probably cleaner than when I moved in. Just a note, I did note EVERYTHING wrong with that apartment on the initial evaluation form... Parking is ok, recently (Feb 2010) major theft in the area (someone had all 4 wheels stolen off their car). Generally maintenence came quickly, but there was a incident where it took them a few weeks just to change the coolant in my a/c... during summer.... The apartments are HORRIBLY insulated. During summer my electricity bill ran me to almost 150. On a side note, the post office for that area is HORRIBLE.. this has nothing to do with the complex, but just a heads up. Before I left it seemed to have gotten worse. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends. The only good thing about it is that it was cheaper and I got a student discount.

excellent place to live

I have lived here since oct 2006 and will be leaving in nov 2010. Since I been here this complex has gone through 4 managers and countless maintenace tech and leasing agents. I have made freinds with so many that are not here anymore. The present manager and her staff have done many things to improve life at bent tree and I will surely miss them. Whenever I needed things done they were quick to do it. If you are thinking of moving to an apt bent tree is the place.

best apts i have lived in

Bent Tree has been the best apts i have lived in. My partner and I have lived at Bent Tree for two years now. we have never had any problems plus the staff is very friendly and great people to get along with. you should try bent tree great place to call home anytime!

I could not have picked a better place to live.

Not only is the location ideal but the community is quiet. The staff are both friendly and helpful. Any time I have a work order it is done quickly and the guys are cool. The girls in the office are great and make me smile every time I go in. They all make Bent Tree a better to live.

I get some peace and a smile

I have lived at Bent Tree for many, many years and seen a lot of changes and growth. Long ago I worked at Bent Tree in maintenance and I can say I would be proud to work with the people here. It is a peaceful community and everyone who works here always has a smile and a friendly word for me when I see them.

awwwfulll!

this place is awful. i CANNOT WAIT to leave! bugs, outdated apts, rotting cabinets... GROSS if you are looking here ask to open the cabinets and drawers. you will find the material used to make them is old and rotting and nasty.. perfect place for bugs. we have asked for the bug treatment every time it's been available and done it on our own as well, but the bugs love it here! sheesh, at least some one does! cannot wait to move FAR FAR away. i feel like the lady off of happy gilmore "mister! mister! somebody PLEASE get me OUTTA here!!!"

I'll keep it short - we loved it!

My husband and I lived at Bent Tree for about 9 months while our home was being constructed and we could not have chosen better. The manager was always helpful, she is actually the reason we moved there. Every other office we went to was rude and even though those places were cheaper we chose Bent Tree. We felt, and still feel, we deserve to be treated right and found that while at Bent Tree. The truth is if we had not planned to build our house we would have stayed becasue we wanted that big apartment with the wrap around balcony. Don't be fooled by the negative people, Bent Tree is a great place.
