THEY STUNK!! THE MANAGERS ARE WEAK AND MAKE ME WANT TO VOMIT!
I could only take 7mo and then i was out....! Management is horrible. It is true that they lie and are incompetent. The building had a moist and moldy feeling and i can only assume that this was from all the leaking that took place in the building. The building did not feel fresh at all... It is falling apart! The rent is outrageous compared to the living conditions that are provided by management.

Full of Bug and worst maintanence
I was here for the past one year. The apartment is full of bugs. Maintanence very worst. Not neat homes and all are old model. The windows are leaky and feeling cold at winter. So many drainage issues. No childrens playground.

Roaches
Do not move here! I've been a resident for almost a year and continue to be disappointed by the poor quality of these apartments. Fixing the outside will not fix the poor conditions on the inside. Do not fall for the model apartment that they show b/c none of the apartments look even remotely like it. The water leaves and orange residue and is not drinkable. The restrooms look like they have not been updated at all. The wood on the cabinets are falling apart. There is a lack of storage room. My recent problem is roaches the size of my big toe! I pride myself on keeping a clean apartment and management doesn't seem to have a problem w/residentts living w/this problem. Worst of all, I pay $600/mo for this crap!

Old and leaky experience
This was my first apartment experience and it was quite bad, to start there was a leak in the kitchen that made me put up buckets, which took a little while to fix, then there was another leak in my closet that actually made the ceiling in the closet cave in, this was due to the AC which had "problems" i had to take out my all my things and this also took a while to fix, i was without AC for almost to weeks with the heat in San Antonio and some of my things were stained and got wet, to top it off i was offered very little compensation by the staff, bugs got in from under the front door since there was a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, for a long time the "hallways" which really werent hallways were without light, which at night turned pitch black and made it pretty dangerous going down the stairs and even just trying to open the apartment was hard, the water coming out of the faucets came out murky, to say the least, and the only reason i didnt sue or get lawyers involved was because there was about 3 or 4 weeks until my lease was up, which was about the time the roof of the closet caved in.

Poor maintenance & Flooding Issues
Problem one: My BF lives here and has reported that his front door is jammed on numerous occasions with NO response from maintenance in months! He can hardly OPEN or LOCK the front door!! Because of his work schedule it is impossible for him to go to the office to demand this fix during business hours. Crazy?! Problem 2: He lives on the bottom level of these apartments and has had his apartment flooded more than once is less than 5 months of living here! If you value your personal items don't live on the bottom level because you risk having them damaged by water when it rains due to bad drainage problems!!! Problem 3: First night he lived here he had to call the police due to a domestic dispute next door! This guy was trying to break in to that apartment!

Sh**tty --- apartments - DONT LIVE HERE!!!
Beware, i heard the management are the only ones who are writing the good reviews here. Don't be fooled. They changed the old broken siding with crappier siding (yes, illegal immigration is a problem). They replaced a crappy swimming pool (the pool wasn't the problem, the decrepid decaying wooden deck surrounding it was. All of the washers/and or dryers are broken in one laundry room (roach central) and in the other, they just keep your quarters. Additionally, the management will not have anything fixed to save your life. It is definitely not worth it.

Big Changes
I love the fact that the new management company is spending so much on this property, It sucks that it takes a long time to complete but with the obvious professionalism of the staff and upgrade to the complex the new changes are great

NOT THE BEST BUT NOT THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE!
The Bent Tree Apartments have a great manager and maintenance team. However they do have problems all the time with the water quality and not enough hot water. They need to add an additional boiler but will not do so. They always are working on the plumbling there and turning the water off. The complex is well maintained and very quiet and clean. We have bottled water delivered to our apartment to eliminate our drinking water problem. The management allowed me to paint two of my rooms right after I moved in as long as I paint it back when I leave. I have never had a problem getting something repaired right away. The office staff has always been friendly and professional over the years I have been here. The parking is not a problem here at all.

Everythings broken/ nothing gets fixed.
You can't drink the water. DO NOT drink the water. If you value your health do what we do, stick to bottled water. There always seems to be a problem with the "boiler" and the "old pipes" release metal fragments and sediments from the tap. Even the maintenance men refuse to drink the water. Three toilet overflows due to clogged pipes (in 2 years). Delapidated siding, pool, and antiquaited laundry room make the ambiance quasi-trailertrash-ish.

Not many problems
I lived at Bent Tree from Sept. '99 to April '02 and enjoyed it very much. The problems I had with the toliet and AC were corrected very quickly. They always left AC replacement filters by the door. They even let me stay an extra month when my moving plans changed. And I had the most WONDERFUL view from my blacony, I never should have left San Antonio! The shopping in the area is very great too! And walking for exercise is very nice, a good 2 mile round trip. A very great Chinese restuarant right down Fredericksburg road at Hamilton Wolfe. All in all a very relaxing nice place to live.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Ok I lived here for about 8 months or so. This was probably THE worst apartment complex I have ever lived at. The place is really old and I thikn the apartment had a moisture leak in it or something because if the ac wasn't on, it felt like you were in a sauna. The walls had chipped paint on the top of them because of this moisture leak. The carpet felt wet all the time. Told maintanance that several times but they did nothing about it Walls are paper thin so you can hear whats going on next door. Just not a nice place to live. Management was nice but didn't do anything about the place. I also asked for a second floor but they moved me in to the bottom floor. I asked for new carpeting before the move but still they gave me old dingy carpeting.

I'm betting that either a former employee, or a SINGLE disgruntled former resident wrote all these negative posts about Michelle. Notice how many are anonymous and have the same style. Michelle is one of the most professional, kind, conscientious, INTELLIGENT and understanding assistant managers that I have ever had the PLEASURE of renting from in my 25 year history of renting apartments.

Roach city
I moved into Bent tree mostly because the rent was fairly cheap for the area. The frst few days I started to have problems. The apartment that I moved into had not been painted so I could not move my furniture in. I had a leaky sink and the wood under the sink was rotten. There were soft spots along the wall by the window that were caused by mold. The bugs started soon after, there were brown tree worms (at least that is what I was told) I called the office and after many complaints, the Terminex guy came. I think that is when the problems got worse, the roaches came out from everywhere. They lived and made waste on my dishes, they crawled on the bed and in the shower, I could walk around barefooted for the fear that I was going to smoosh one. I keep a very clean house and when I went to the office, they accused me of being to picky about the situation. Needless to say I went to the office and told them I wanted to leave. They let me out of the lease (thank God)

What a Joke
The Management writes all of the positive reviews to boost their overall ratings. Would you really want to rent from a company whose manager's are so deceitful?

Big Floorplans/Bigger Problems
Mgmt is sooooo not good, sorry San Antonio but this property should be demolished asap. Ants, spiders, snakes, stray cats and dogs pooping, pot smoking, too loud partiers every damn night forced us out. Grin and bear it, smile and kill em with kindness. Smell the Indian food, they must live in all the first front buildings for USAA peeps.

Management doesn't care
My rims and tires were stolen the other night and the maintenance man had the nerve to put a tow sticker on it. Later the same day I got new tires and rims and then the manager refused to get the tow stickers taken off. She claimed the maintenance man didn't have a razorblade. I had to threaten to move out just so somebody would take the stickers off. This complex is teh suck, don't move here. Water is turned off all the time for arbitrary reasons. Get the frickin water heaters fixed.

Beautiful property, Excellent experience
I lived in a 1 bedroom at bent tree for 1 1/2 years while going to school and never had a problem. The maintenance team were very efficient and the staff was always so helpful. The leasing agent was very professional and when ever I had a problem, he would handle it immediately. I wuld definitely move back to Bent Tree if I return to San Antonio.

Great hospitable staff; Excellent on-site maintenance; Overall Great
My family and I enjoyed the two years we resided at Bent Tree. We never had any serious problems, and the little ones the maintenance would take care of in a day or two. The office staff was really sincere all the time, especially the young leasing agent, he was just terrific. We just recently moved out in August (bought a house) but if we ever needed an apartment, we'd definitely go back to Bent Tree. I recommend Bent Tree to everybody.
