Just plain ol awful
I wouldn't recommend anyone living here at all. The safety is horrible you have to watch your back everytime you walk out the door. People knock on your doors all times of the night thinking someone else lives there looking for drugs probably. The maintence sucks they never come and fix you stuff til maybe about 2 months later, and the staff is awful. Please run while you can!!!

The good, bad, and just damn awful.
There's the good, bad, and just damn awful.<br><br>Weekend staff and maintenance are wonderful. The pools are kept in good shape. There is a bus stop very close to the apartment. Neighbors seem nice. Plenty of pet cats.<br><br>Not well lit outside when dark (security issue). The parking is limited, not covered, and tenants must drive slowly not to hit one another in a poorly constructed lot with blocked views due to landscaping.<br><br>Mgmt is not proactive. They only accept maintenance requests by written notice. Garbage pile up, such as mattresses on the side usually take several weeks to get picked up. <br><br> <br><br>

**Be Advised and Be Aware!!!**
Gun shots!!......gun shots!!....boom boom boom....boom...boom. At 1130pm I heard gun shots everywhere. Right out side the front door. Be forewarned This place is the sister property of Woodtrails Apts they connect to each other and there is always commotion. I feel this is an unsafe community that is poorly lit and has a cramped parking lot. I made the mistake thanks to my implusive decision making due to it being conveniently located to my job. Anyways I pray that I can make it until my lease is up. I do not recommend moving here, if you do decide to lease here...then I wish you good luck.

Shower caved in on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I first moved in there were plenty of things wrong which were all reported. However, they never fixed any of them. EVER! Furthermore I was promised a new dish-washer upon moving in, which took 3 months to get. Then my upstairs neighbor's water pipe broke and flooded our apartments. They vacuumed it up but never fixed the ceiling which was becoming moldy and caroded. Then while i was showering my shower wall caved in on me. Management didn't care and took a month and a half to fix it. I told them they needed to send a real carpenter, but they just sent their maintenace guy, who did a shotty job. Then about a month later it caved in a second time. This time it took 3 weeks to fix and a threat that i wouldn't pay rent unless they did. It looked like it had been superglued or something. Then a few months later it caved in a third time. & its been two months and it has still not been fixed. They refuse to let me out of my lease even though they are in breach of contract. Furthermore it is very unsafe, my apartment almost got broken into while I was there, my laundry was stolen from the laundry room, and there are thugs everywhere. Not to mension a big possum problem and skunks. Management is horrible, there is mold everywhere & I am disgusted!!!!!!!!! worst nightmare of my life!!!!!!!!!!

STAY AWAY
Well i was a resident here about a year ago, I went out of town for about a week a pipe burst in my appartment for the second time, management came it to fix it didnt give me a call to let me know the situation then sent there cleaners in to dry the carpet, when i returned i noticed what happen which didn't supprise me because it happen before, but what caught my attention was the several of my private property was missing about $4,000 in value. I did the police report there was no force entry, police said whoever must have had acess to the apartment. Managemet didnt want to except responsiblilty and had the nerve to tell me i should have had renter insurance when they the one's who either taken it or left my appartment unsecuried. They didnt want to pay of anything or let me out my lease, and they when i moved had the nevre to send me a bill to cover the broken lease fee. I don't reccomend this property to anyone. If I see the management i would spit in there face.

The worst management and maintenance anywhere
I am 51 years of age and have been renting for a LONG time. I have a new name for Mission Station. It's Mission Courts because it is the worst place I have EVER lived. The maintenance is virtually non-existent. A person has to "beg" to get anything done and at one time, my bathroom floor was about to "cave in" and management and maintenance kept ignoring my requests. I had to call the city code compliance inspector to come out and "order" the staff here to fix the problem. The management is run by a bunch of women with the mentality of teenage girls. They don't want to hear about ANY problems and if you dare to report problems anyway, you are labeled as a "troublemaker" and then you REALLY don't get any help. This place rents to a bunch of "riff-raff" people who continuously make loud noise, use drugs and try selling crack out in the parking lot to anyone walking by, and violent people. If you call the police, sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't. When they do show up they never resolve the problem. Don't bother telling management about the problems either because they don't want to hear it.<br>So, if you are a crack-head, that likes loud noise/music, and have the "frat-house" mentality, Mission Courts is the place for you. All you need to get in this place is $199.00 and no felonies on your police record.

The Good and the Bad
Wooodtrails Apts. at 9001 Wurzbach Rd. has its good points and bad points, just like most other apartment complexes.<br>GOOD POINTS:<br>1) Beautiful grounds, well kept, lots of trees and greenery, 2 pools, 2 gazebos, barbecue pits.<br>2) Wooded area behind apts. with asphalt walking path, great area for pets to play.<br>3) Very nice staff-- 4 young women, all kind and considerate.<br>4) Free gas, low cost water, and free basic cable. The electric bill is also pretty low due to all the shade from trees.<br>4) Medical Center Location-- close to EVERYTHING, with tons of fast food nearby.<br><br>BAD POINTS:<br>1) "Rough" residents. There are lots of great people living here, but there are quite a few "undesirable" ones as well who get intoxicated and stumble around. They're harmless, but sometimes get annoying.<br>2) Water issues. The water has been turned off (on the south side of the complex) 8 times in 9 months due to underground pipes breaking. It stays off for hours, sometimes all day and night, and is rarely back on when promised.<br>3) Maintenance issues. Our maintenance guys are very nice, but a little slow and not very qualified, to be honest. It usually takes them several tries to fix what needs to be fixed.<br>4) Crime rate. The crime rate for this complex is a little higher than average for this area (you can check it at MySA.com, click on crimebase). Vehicle break-ins are not uncommon, (yes, my car too, once), and a few units have been burglarized, as well. There is no security gate here, and Wurzbach is a high-traffic area.<br><br>WOULD I RECOMMEND LIVING HERE? Well...that depends on what is important to you. If rent cost and nice grounds are your main concern, then sure, it's great. If great maintenance and a crime-free complex is what you're after, however, than no, Woodtrails is not for you.

I hate these apartments. There is never any HOT water, and when i call to complain the staff acts dumb like im the only one complaining. The Water
This place has a big problem with keeping the water on, and when it is on keeping it hot. Just yesterday I got off work @ 41:30pm<br>got home(if you can call it that) and guess what no water. So there was no cooking or bathing. Could not fill up my poor dogs water bowl. The water came on about 10pm. The next morning I wanted to take a shower. NO HOT WATER!!!<br>At night it is so dark. no lights <br>Maintence is a joke. I have been waiting for over 4 month just to get my bathroom fixed.<br>I would not recommend this place to anyone.<br>

don't get me started!!
although i love my apartment itself b/c the space i get for the price i pay, there is no way i would ever recommend someone to live here. the complex is dirty, the lights in the common walkways are never working. <br><br>there are a lot of break-ins, my apartment included. and the office had the nerve to tell me i needed to pay for the repairs to the door before they would fix it. it took me writing a letter w/ the property code pertaining to repairs, detailing why i SHOULD NOT have to pay, and 3 months later before they came to repair the damn door. <br><br>the maintenance takes their time getting to you and since every last one of them is afraid of dogs, if and when they do show up, they will leave immediately after finding you have a dog if you're not home and not even leave a note notifying you that they stopped by so you wait and wait for something to get fixed before going back to the office and finding out they're afraid of your beagle. so you tell the office what days you'll be home and that if you must leave the dog will be put in the kennel/crate in case the maintenance men do come and they take forever to come again. when they finally DO come, they are courteous and seem to do a decent job but that doesn't make up for the wait or inconvenience.

RENTER BEWARE!!!!
We lived @ this complex for 2yrs. the first year managment was wonderful and took care of things when needed, but the 2nd yr was hell. the a/c was always broken and they wouldnt replace it. they kept wanting to come back every time and "fix" it but atleast twice a month they had to come out. We also had a problem with rain water leaking through our front door which also happened to not close right.they didnt replace it but just covered up the problem. the pool was never clean and when it was kids from the complex would through the lawn chairs in it. managment was never there and when they were the rudeness was unbareable!!!

I wish I would have listened to the review before...
I wish I would have listened to the review before I rented here. Maintanance is horrible. It took them 5 months to replace my dishwasher, 8 months to replace my fridge, & 3 to fix the dryer. There have been many unsafe events around here such as shootings and much more. The only good thing around here are a few nice neighbors and ONE lady in the office. Oh, and beware this complex has allocated water billing. Our H2O bill has always been between $25-$70 for two adults. I have no idea what fire they've been fighting but..that's ridiculous! And last but not least, DON'T SWIM IN THE SWIMMING POOL, they never clean it! They only pretend to poor a little chlorine in it, but it is never enough, so much less ask when they changed out the water.

helpful and understanding
The maintenance staff goes above and beyond. When the water went out a couple of weeks ago, they stayed all night long and the next morning to get it fixed. If I do have a request to fix something in my apt. they come as soon as possible. Monica the manager is very understanding and she tries very hard to please the residents. When my son moved back home and we needed more space she let us tansfer to a bigger apatment. The girls in the office helped us find the right apartment in the perfect location. The Asst. manager was very understanding when it came to increasing my rent on the new apartment. All in all I say these people care about their residents.

Pathetic Staff
Leasing staff will lie to you about how this is such a wonderful place to live. NOT!<br>Mission Station is overcome by hoodlums and apts that need to be fixed. Ive been calling them for months now about the mold problem I have & still nothing. When something breaks in your apt dont hold your breath because it will take them eternity to come out and fix it.

neighbors biggest problem.
My main complaint was the noise. These apartments are right next to Wurzbach and it would seem like every car, bus, and motorcycle was in the room with me. You would have to speak up to be heard. Also, I could hear the upstairs neighbors clearly when shouting, or like mumbles when they spoke. You can hear every step the people above make. You could hear their tv and when they went to the bathroom and other things in the bedroom. Also neighbors like to play music at distortion levels.<br><br>My experience with maintenance occurred with my garbage disposal. It took a month to fix and they didn't fix it until after I told them the wood was getting rotten from the leaking water. Then it was fixed the next day. <br><br>Also drivers in the parking lot seem to think it is a one lane raceway. If they almost smash into you while they drive on the wrong side, you will get honked at and flipped off. I've almost been run over walking back from the mailbox.<br><br>The staff seemed nice. When I moved out, they were starting to make changes and I see the rent went up since I was there.<br><br>I didn't like the $90 non-refundable 'deposit.' Most people prefer it, they said, but I think they should call it what it is: a fee. After you sign the lease, they bring out a new stack of papers you now have to sign as well. I like to see everything up front.<br><br>Good:<br>It's roomy and inexpensive. My air conditioner always worked without problems. I didn't feel like crime was a problem. My electric bill was low. Free cable if you like that.

Not safe for kids Too MANY DRUG DEALERS!
First of all the leasing office needs to be aware of all the drug activity that is goin on in these apts especially apt 305 and 306 its not safe. In apt 305 the couple is always fighting and the husband is always beating the wife. The husband has Felonies by the way I dont know how u allow him to live there. Theyre always smoking crack and marijuana outside when theres kids out. that to me sound like the leasing office need to get the priorities in check. My family has never felt so unsafe in our whole entire lives. We cant even sleep at night wondering if someone is gonna break in. The cops have been out here so many times and u still dont do nothing about it. Apt 306 Theyre nothing but worthless trash who have no shame of what they do in front of their children. They act like they own the whole apt complex. People coming in and out at all ours of the night Ive recently pulled a report of all the domestic disturbances that have occured here from bexar county and im in shock how u people still ignore the fact of all the things that go on here. Would u want ur family living in fear put ur self in the decent hard working tenants here that just wanna come home from work and not have to worry bout some junkie crack head breaking in our vehicles or even worse. If this is not taken care of im taking further action by calling the News, District attorney what ever it takes im doing it if things arenet taking care of SOON!

Worst apartments in the world!
The price was cheap, so I guess I got what I paid for. The management was HORRIBLE AND RUDE!!! We had assigned parking but there was always someone in your spot. I lived there a year and there was like 8 breakins and in broad daylight! Everything needed repair but maintanence never came. Our hot water was broken for a week!

On the way up
I have lived in this complex for the last couple of years and I can honestly say things have improved since new management took over. The office staff is friendly and the new manager seems very concerned about the past issues the tenants have dealt with. At least we are now dealing with management that is working hard to make changes which do take time. Many complexes have rude and snobby office staff that show lack of regard to your issues. At least we are dealing with people that want to make the changes and that are trying to be helpful. In regards to the pool area, from the previous email, who would take a toddler into any pool 3 or 4 times when they saw trash and hair in it? I can say that there were pool issues with the previous management company but I am positive these same issues won't occur next summer. <br>What we as tenants need to remember is that we get what we pay for and since we are not living in trump towers than we need to be patient with the changes that are occurring. After all, no one forces us to live here and overall it is a pretty nice place to be living at.

Still waiting for improvements
I recently wrote about new owner taking charge and things being fixed. So far, things are improving but at a snails pace. San Antonio had a cold snap of a couple of weeks in the 30's at night to the 50's in the day- I went without a heater during that entire time. And of course, the hot water was on the fritz. Last week I had to go to a friends house to shower as the water pressure (cold only worked) was insufficient to keep the shower head on.<br><br>During this past summer the larger pool was almost green (the entire summer) and had hair and trash floating on the water, the skimmers did not appear to be working each of the 3 or 4 times my toddler son and I went. We showered VERY well after each visit.<br><br>The office area has been remodeled and once a night drop is available (yeah!!!). The parking lot is currently being restriped and holes patched.<br><br>In my ever present optimism I continue to think the new owner is really wanting to bring this place back but there is just SO MUCH to do.

Next to the ------, becoming ------
Ok.. hamburgers and hotdogs are not a way to get people to like the place. Management if you want to impress the residents, step out of the office and actually work for that paycheck. Send out a survey if you have to to find out what is on the renters minds. The residents that actually work for a living do not have time for punch and cookies, nor do they want to fight them off dozens of kids. This is the Medical Center not the ------. This complex needs a renovation and a better class of people working and living in it. Those that live here know who and what I am talking about. Woodtrails is not a Section 8 facility , so stop managing like it is.

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!
Once they have you in their claws, watch out. The apartments are filthy but you won't see it because you are shown a "model apartment". Equipment, especially the A/C units, break down constantly. They never fix it right and have to keep coming back. Be prepared to be without A/C for at least two days at a time, several times in one summer. If it's a holyday weekend, better go to a hotel. It is not unusual for the A/C to go out time and again. Their favorite words are "We'll get to you when we can". The at first impression "friendly" office staff becomes discourteous and almost hostile when called. Sandra, the complex manager, is downright rude, incompetent and insulting. One doesn't expect an Apt. Mgr. to have gone to charm school but some training in Public Relations should be mandatory for all staff.. <br><br>

great appartments, but staff is just aweful, never available, and rude
I'm stationed here so I had a week to find an appartment....some job I did. When I finally got moved in I founf out I was being cahrged $80 more a month than my neighbor because I had new carpet. neighborhood sucks, there's no parking, the pool is filthy, they let my neighbors do ---- in my yard, and service is terrible, you put in writing that something is wrong and when they finally get off their asses to fix it they do a 1/2 assed job and you have to do it yourself.

Hell couldn't be worse
The apartment, cupboards etc. were filthy. The carpet so gross that I threw away three pairs of slippers after wearing them only a couple of months. I now understand why they have "show" apartments rather than let one see the apartment one actually gets. The place was roach and bug infested. <br>Maintenance is almost non existant. I was told by one employee that there a two maintenance men for 400 apartments. The staff will simply say "we'll get to you when we can". <br>If you're without air conditiioning, get used to it. It will happen a number of times before they decide they may need to replace the antiquated units. And talk about the parking lot. It takes a stunt driver to avoid the deep pot holes and to navigate the parking lot in general.
