the management is --------

parking sucks, overpriced for what you get. no one lives here because its so ugly and gross!!! had mouse in the house for 2 weeks, apt did nothing about it. no security...3 neighbors got robbed. management is a nightmare. dont bother asking for them to do anything, because they wont!! gun shots in the complex, again nothing was done.

    Change is on the way?

    I lived here a few years ago. The management was ok but a stickler for the rules. I had the security at my door a few times for my TV being too loud - no problem I just turned it down. The pool was always clean and the grounds were neat as well. <br> <br>I moved back to SA and into these apartments about 2 years ago. Boy have things changed. The management is lousy. It took almost 6 months of trying to get the AC to work (worked a day and then not for a couple of days for several months). The hot water seems to be a problem during the winter. I suppose pipes underground in the parking lot keep breaking and that is why they keep "fixing" th plumbing. This past winter was mild and I only had roughly 2 or 3 weeks total without hot water. Vandalism of the laundry eqpt. forced the closing of the wash room after dark. The parking lot is always trashy. The pool looks like something out of a creature feature movie. The gazebo at the pool is gone but the foundation still pokes up out of the earth. Most of the BBQ pits are rusted away/gone but their poles still stick up from the ground. Some of the steps to my apt fell apart from age so the steps were missing for a couple of days before they fixed them. The laundry eqpt in the wash room sucks - you name a problem and you will find it here. Parking is limited but there are some spaces away from the center that are never used. There are always some cars that seem to have been abandoned in the parking lot and look it. <br> <br>This property was recently purchased as of April 2004. Already some changes have been made. The rail ties that hold up the dirt around my building are being replaced. The old ones had decayed. The gate at the front of the complex that never worked right is being removed. Hopefully this complex has found a new owner that is interested in making this a nice place to live again.

      Horrible

      This complex ranks in the top 5 of the worst places Ive lived. Maintenance takes forever to get anything done. There was a hole in the ceiling above my shower. When it rained it would leak all over the toilet. It was even a first floor apt. My boyfriend and I would always find black wasps in the second bathroom. We have no idea how they got there. The deadbolt on the front door didnt lock. My car was parked right infront of my door and I was still robbed. I could always hear the SAPD officer above me beating his wife at night. The neighbors apt. flooded into my closet and I had to threaten a law suit in order for management to properly take care of it. The parking lot is crap. Whoever designed it needs to be shot. If you are a single female you probably shouldnt walk to check the mail after a certain hour. And yes, everyone is brought unwillingly into everyone else's business. Management is terrible.

        "Live-in Hell"

        As you all may have noticed... this is NOT THE Place to live at... unless you are really desperate. Sandra, the manager, is a very well UNEDUCATED individual. The rest of the staff is okay, with the exception of Monica who happens to be another very well UNEDUCATED individual and best friends of Sandra. As far as maintenance goes, well what can I say other then they take more then 1 month and/or simply don’t get to it. When Samuel was here before everything was done at a faster pace yet they still had to decide how much they liked you before they decide to go work on it. Yes, they do priorities by likeliness to the person living at that apt. <br> <br>Lets not mention the neighbors… you get all kind of disturbance: from your neighbors’ loud music to the outrageous screaming from mom looking after her kids and the kids looking for each other… oh and the PETS… its like a zoo in there you find all variety of animals and they find all type of areas to dispose of there waist, YES ANY PLACE… be it on your car, on your doormat, on the side walk… anywhere!!! If you are lonely and looking for the family here is the place to live at… everything upstairs and downstairs can be heard at a 100%, you will have cookouts almost everyday where you can enjoy of your neighbors latest encounter with the policeman or the judge or there day at trail. You want to learn more about the life of illegal immigrants, of drugs, about prostitution and of course of the worst of worst foul language well… everybody here earned a MASTERS DEGREE… <br> <br>As of April 15th they changed ownerships on this complex… as of now… I still don’t see a change, other then they hired a lot more staff, which yes they are more friendly… but that NO they don’t get anything done since Sandra/Monica are still in control and if they don’t like you … well you are pretty much dead. <br> <br>Oh and parking, parking is a total different story you can literally park outside your patio if you so desire since that is what everybody likes to do…. and yes the wood fence around the apartments which is there to make the complex a bit more private, ITS POINTLESS everybody gets it as a shortcut to the store or to there work… so yes you have 1ft of fence up and 10ft down since they have found another shortcut. So don’t be surprise if you see people walking out of the trash can… you aren’t imagining things… they are just finding there way to there destination. Also, you don’t have to go to the trash can to disponse of your garbage… just dump it out your window… or in the parking lot same difference. Oh and if you are looking for some new/used furniture for yourself, well you got it here! Weekly you can find all sorts of mattress, sofas and television around the trash cans until someone decides to take it or make it there home…(humans, rats and skunks included).

          don´t move here

          I lived there about 4 months and ended up breaking my lease. The people upstairs had a dog that I could hear at all hours of the night. The parking lot was horrible. I had to park a mile away. The noise from the bar was also bad. I agree with the other person who said these apts are trashy. People have trash in their patios and the kids were always at the pool making noise at early hours. The only thing I liked was that the office staff was great and super friendly. The rent was cheap and we got free cable. I also liked the large bedroom, however my apartment was old and dirty. The carpet was nasty and the floors and fixtures were gross and moldy. Also, the traffic on Wurzbach is a nightmare and it could take several minutes to turn left on Wurzbach because there are so many cars. Overall I would only recommend living here if you are desperate and don´t have a lot of money to pay for rent.

            NEVER MOVE HERE!!!!!!

            Lots of vandalism and car burgularies... maintenance was slow to fix anything (even when service was requested in writing) and when they did come to fix it they would always do a half-assed job... insect infestation...PARKING SUCKED....you could barely take a warm shower without the water heater cutting out...managment was incompitant....

              Great floor plan..Terrible Service

              First the floor plan..GREAT...alot of storage..neighbor pretty good too...if u have any..thats a hint...everyone is moving out...service is terrible...they suck...u call them...they complete half of what u ask....carpet is ugly..torn..ask them to replace they told me it would cost me 40 more dollars on my rent...whatever..it sucks..dont live here....

                talking about dreams..

                Well, what can I say!! My girlfriend and I moved in four months ago and I´ve encountered the same problems. NOPE things have not changed and WILL NOT change... Not only is the parking lot a bar full of empty beer bottles but you have visitors using them as restrooms. And YES it is true... you´d be amazed on how close you become to your downstairs/upstairs neighbor even without speaking to them. Making matter worst...get a neighbor that sets an alarm at 6AM and you are the first one up!! and YES your MANAGER knows about it but NO nothing is done. Even if you call SAPD!! trust me! we have done that... for the last 1-1 1/2 my new neighbor has had the cops knock at the door... the manager has been told and NOTHING has been done. Oh and yes the laundary is open 24HRS in case you need to throw your trash out or should I say IN? then again you can simply just throw it out your balcony/patio... <br> <br>So... if you are looking for a trashy cheap place you got it... as for us we are OUT of here by the end of the month!! <br> <br>oh by the way if you do decide to move in and have kids DO NOT leave them with the lady that offers her services here... SHE IS A WITCH yells all day and treat the kids like slaves.....

                  not good

                  I lived here quite a while back and then it was not so good. The main problem was that the contruction is very poor and I could always hear my upstairs neighbors. I knew both person´s names, their dog´s name, etc. I knew what shows they watched on TV and when they listened to the radio. You get the picture. I complained a number of times. Property security (who apparently was a real police) was sent and the problems only got worse. I ended up having to break my lease to get out of there as I would not have made it for the remaining 8 months. As I mentioned, this was some time back, so they could have actually gotten better.

                    I have a dream, that one day the parking lot will be clean and well lit....

                    <br>This place may be no dream, but compared to some of the other reviews its an improvement. <br> <br>Most of the staff is fairly nice, and even when I have a mountain of complaints they generally get around to everything. I´ve only had 2 hot water problems in the 5 months or so that we´ve lived here, and each was fixed within a day. <br> <br>The place looks like a dive, but slowly it is coming around. It seems like they are fixing everything: balconys, painting, fences. The security gate at the front is always open and I believe will be removed eventually, probably because it would be too much hassle being right off Wurzbach. That is a bit of a problem though because the SA police log lists quite a bit of vehicle thefts/vandalism for this block. <br> <br>Parking is sparadic, not enough places in some areas and plenty in others. The parking lot is what makes this place look so bad, but inside the apts is pretty clean and comfortable, with huge walk in closets. I definately don´t think there is enough light in the parking lots though. <br> <br>And can I just say that the head maintanence guy is awesome! He always remembers me when I see him out and about, in fact he remembers everyone! He talks to everyone, has the best smile, always inquires about your kids, your dog, your boyfriend, or whatever pertains to you. <br> <br>On other matters though...I´m getting really tired of the bar right out in front of us, because every weekend night right at closing time they´ve got a bunch of idiots out in the lot making noise before they leave. Last week there was a shooting. I don´t think this would be a problem though for the apartments on the other side of the complex. <br> <br>The laundry is ok and 24 hours, but a bit of a walk from some areas. They are generally working ok, even if the area is a bit dirty, and there are enough machines. <br> <br>The pools probably need cleaning more than once a week. One week I know for sure it didn´t get cleaned because a beer can sat right in the middle of it for 2 weeks. <br> <br>Hearing lots of complaints from our neighbours about their AC units, though ours has had only minimal problems, with leaking and so forth. The people across from us never got theirs fixed however, despite them coming out more than a few times and ´fixing´ the problem. They do have 24 hour maintanence though, and the guy did show up one night around midnight when there was a problem with the fridge. <br> <br>Overall, this place would get a pretty good score if it weren´t for the parking lot, which might I add is a deathtrap with it´s tight corners and all the jerks who come reeling around them as if they are the only moving vehicle for a mile. Everytime I see the parking lot I just get depressed, so I think I´m just going to start closing my eyes when I go through it from now on.... like all the other drivers. <br>
